What drives someone to leave behind a career in the UFC to serve the world's most forgotten people? In this episode, we sit down with Justin Wren, a former professional MMA fighter who traded his career in the cage for a mission with real impact. Justin shares his journey from a bullied child to UFC fighter, and eventually to his work with the Pygmy people of Africa through Fight for the Forgotten. We talk about the challenges he's faced—both in and out of the ring—and the decisions that led him to dedicate his life to defending the weak, loving the unloved, and empowering the voiceless around the world. KEY TOPICS How childhood bullying pushed Justin Wren to become a professional UFC fighter. The devastating toll addiction once took on Justin's life. A vivid vision of the rainforest that gave Justin a new sense of purpose in life. How Fight for the Forgotten helps Pygmy communities protect their land, access clean water, and foster a sustainable livelihood. Despite his success, he questioned the significance of his athletic accomplishments. Each victory brought the thought, “Is this it?” Battling injuries, he slid into painkiller addiction, battled depression, and attempted suicide. He was a champion on the outside but broken within. It wasn't until a series of circumstances led him to live among the Pygmy people—some of the most marginalized on earth—that he found true purpose: helping others. “My career was to fight against people, but my calling was to fight for people." Now, he helps others generate impact through their work and community. ‘The Big Pygmy' returned to the ring with purpose, founding Fight for the Forgotten (FFTF). FFTF has provided >52,000 indigenous people with access to clean drinking water, replanted thousands of trees, acquired >3,000 acres of land in the name of the tribe and helped 1,800 people out of slavery and into freedom. Current projects include housing, education, healthcare and sustainable livelihoods through community empowerment.
Thirteen years ago, Justin went to the Congo in hopes of providing clean water for the Pygmy Tribe. The journey began with six failed wells, led to multiple bouts with malaria, and life threatening hikes in search of water. Justin's life story is full of examples of overcoming what many would consider insurmountable hurdles, which is why he has gotten to where he is today. Justin and his team at Fight For the Forgotten (FFTF) will soon break ground on a new hospital to go along with the wells, farms, trees, sanitation and training they have provided. Justin believes strongly in providing opportunities along with teaching independence, which is a huge reason FFTF has been so successful. Justin is a humanitarian and the founder of Fight For The Forgotten, he is a former professional MMA fighter for the UFC. He competed in season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter, is a two time All-American and National Champion Greco Roman Wrestler. Justin is about to break ground on a new hospital, which has been a new initiated along with many others that all began by drilling a well in the Congo. Food for Thought Friday (FFTF)- short fire episodes of thoughts, challenges and lessons Raj has had in property investing and business. In today's episode, I share some insights following a great discussion I had with a few experienced investors around the pros and cons of having one property strategy vs multiple. This is a big topic in the property world and some people say that you should only stick to one strategy and give that your full focus, and become an expert in one area..... On the other hand, is there a time where it makes sense for some people to run multiple strategies at once... As people talk about the importance of having multiple streams of income right? so in this episode, I outline a few of the different angles and perspectives that were discussed and also give some of my final thoughts at the end. Enjoy! *************** GET IN CONTACT. Email- raj@propertyinvesting2-0.com Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/raj-chengadu-11381b69/

Food for Thought Friday (FFTF)- short fire episodes of thoughts, challenges and lessons Raj has had in property investing and business. In today's episode, I share 3 reasons why the rule of thirds doesn't really work in development and why it's a very very very rough guide at best. Furthermore, these same reasons can help explain to vendors and land owners why their land isn't always worth what they think it is as a development plot. The developer doesn't take home all the profits you think they do. If you have a burning question that you want answered or you think it would make a good FFTF episode, send your question to raj@propertyinvesting2-0.com and we'll aim to get that answered for you. Food For Thought Friday (FFTF)- short fire episodes of thoughts, challenges and lessons Raj has had in property investing and business. Today's episode is on the main reasons why people tend to never get started in property investing. These reasons have also held Raj back on his journey in the past and they may likely be different to what you think they are. It's important to be aware and recognise these areas and ask yourself if they are holding you back on your property journey?

Jeremy Schulz a professional drummer. He's taught at the Seattle Drum School for ten years, traveled the world playing infant of thousands and writing music for some of the best rock bands in the world. Jeremy wanted to do something big to raise money for charity and after being bullied as a kid there was only on charity to raise money for. Justin Wren's Fight For The Forgotten. When Jeremy heard about the new FFTF bullying prevention program coming to schools across the nation soon, it was a no brainer. The two got connected and the dates were set. Jeremy is walking from Brooklyn Bridge NYC to Reading California. Finishing up there in October which is National Bullying Prevention Month. Justin and Jeremy have similar stories as kids, both being bullied for being different. Jeremy shares some incredible stories from his first half of the walk, from falling off a cliff, being chased by coyotes, sleeping on the side of the road and of course meeting amazing people. I was fortunate enough to spend sometime with these guys while Jeremy takes a well earned week off here in OKC. Jeremy is an amazing human being and will definitely change lives with his story in the future. Just like Justin, both have overcome bullying and depression to make a change in the world and both are striving to pass this forward to others can realize its possible. Being bullied can be a dark place and its not so easy for parents to spot if their child is bring bullied. So if you see something say something. Jeremys goal is to raise $250,000 by October. Vaughn Johnson (@VaughnMJohnson) and Nick Piccone (@nickpiccone) discuss the weird confrontation at a Blink 182 concert between Enzo Amore and Joey Janela. The video doesn't show much, but it was the talk of Wrestling Twitter this week. That got Vaughn and Nick thinking... who would you take in a real fight? The guys list their favorites of the current crop in pro wrestling as to who would win a real fight against anyone, not just other pro wrestlers. If you're involved in a bar fight (hopefully you're not), who would you want fighting alongside you? After that discussion, Vaughn and Nick run down this weekend's big pro wrestling shows in EVOLVE 131, AEW's Fight for the Fallen, and WWE's Extreme Rules, and give their take on what match(es) they're looking forward to the most on each of those cards. Josh Martin is a visionary who coaches fitness. You can hear his whole coaching story here, and his theory on building coaches to be your strategic advantage here.Josh is one of the most popular mentors on the Two-Brain team, and he leads the Coaching speakers' panel at the 2019 Summitin two weeks. At the Summit, Josh will make a "big reveal": a new way to think about coach development in your gym, and some incredibly valuable tools to help build your system, develop your coaching staff, and guide them to meaningful careers in fitness.Josh develops coaches in degrees. In this episode, he walks host Greg Strauch through the six degrees of coach development. Way back in the day that you know, there was this idea that if you are just a excellent coach, you know, you, you'd be the best coach ever and everything is going to work out all right with your business. And so it was like this idea that excellence in coaching was tied to excellence in business and we know that's not true. Being excellent in coaching is in no way related whatsoever to being excellent in business. And so what we saw over the years, especially as excellence in business was pursued, is the pendulum kind of swung to where we were focused on a lot of the business side of things and that's not a bad thing at all. I think that that is incredibly important for the sustainability of the whole system. But what we have to remember too as owners is that our coaches are actually the ones delivering the very service that we're selling. And so if we neglect to develop them and continually develop them and make them better and better and offer them a chance at a meaningful longterm career, then all of a sudden we're delivering a product that is just not worthwhile. And so that's really where the impetus for this having a structure surrounding this came from.I really see that there is a tremendous gap for developing your coaches in a is in a simple streamlined way. I think that there is a tendency to try and over complicate things and make it seem way more challenging and robust than it probably should be. Josh's Six Degrees of Coaching, in a nutshell:First Degree Coach: The one on one coach that is following a template or a script. This coach is basically leading new members through an OnRamp program, or getting them ready to train with you.Second Degree Coach: "Instead of just coaching people one on one, now we're going to resource them with how to deal with a group. So we're teaching a group from a template or a script with structure."Third Degree Coach: "Now we're actually going to go back to one on one, but we're going to introduce elements of program design." This coach is a well-taught personal trainer who can lead a group by following a class plan, too.Fourth Degree Coach: "As you graduate up to the next level, we're just layering on a little bit more complexity so there's a little bit more responsibility on behalf of the coach. So we're still going to allow them to oversee elements of program design. But now we're going to take this over an entire group population." This coach learns to program for groups, based on historical results and data.Fifth Degree Coach: "What we would term the head coach or the director of training for an entire facility. They're assessing and evaluating the coaching staff. They are responsible for delivering continuing education in a very structured way. They would also be responsible for onboarding new coaches. They gather and assess this data so that we can use it to drive current and future programs. They're looking at innovation and adapting that to their gym."Sixth Degree Coach: "A r

Episode 164– Chris Cooper’s New Book: Founder, Farmer, Tinker, ThiefOn this episode, we sit down with Chris Cooper, to talk about his new book: Founder, Farmer, Tinker, Thief. This will be Chris’s fourth book behind Two Brain Business, Two Brain Business 2.0, and Help First and it dives into the heart of entrepreneurship by discussing its four distinct phases. As a business grows, the entrepreneur must also grow and the passion that spurs a founder to quit his job and risk it all will eventually fade and other mechanisms will need to be in place to carry the business forward. Today we talk about this new book and how it came about, how to determine which phase of business and entrepreneurship you are in, and also how to take your business to the next level! Don’t Forget about the 2019 Two Brain Summit, June 8-9 in Chicago! This year we have some amazing topics and guests for both yourself and your coaches. Click here to register and sign up now! The Four Phases of Entrepreneurship: Founder: The entrepreneur has bought themselves a job. They work 60 – 70 hours per week delivering their service. Eventually, they will want to either make more money or just take the weekend off. Farmer Phase: The entrepreneur takes steps from “self-employed” to “business owner”. They build systems and processes, target ideal clients, start marketing to larger audiences, and make careers for others. Tinker Phase: The entrepreneur’s primary business largely runs itself, and his focus turns inward to reach the next level. He develops leadership skills; makes high level hires; and plans his next project. Thief Phase: The entrepreneur builds a legacy, plans for retirement, develop cash flow assets, takes passion to new markets, or develops new partnerships to grow their portfolio.
