How often do you need to post for your marketing to actually work? It's one of the most common questions I get — and the honest answer is that it depends on where you are and what you're trying to accomplish. In this episode, I'm breaking down posting frequency in a way that's practical and specific to your stage of business. Whether you're just getting started online or you've been showing up consistently and are ready to turn up the volume, this episode gives you a clear range to work within and the reasoning behind it.What You'll Learn:Why frequency alone isn't the goal — and how to define what "working" actually means for your marketingThe minimum posting frequency that keeps your brand looking active and trustworthy to potential clientsHow to know when it's time to increase your posting frequency and what your content should be doing at that stageWhy the right answer looks different depending on the platform you're onMentioned in This Episode:KLC The Studio's Marketing Management — we handle the strategy, production, and consistency for you → klcthestudio.com

Most agents can sell a house. Far fewer can tell you whether the numbers actually work. In this episode I sit down with Rachel Kokosenski, an investor-focused agent with the Smallegan Real Estate team in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who has built a business where 90% of her clients are investors, and she did it by learning to speak their language fluently.Rachel breaks down the exact math behind short-term rentals, long-term rentals, and flips, and explains why agents who don't understand investor math are leaving deals on the table, pricing properties wrong, and losing clients they never even knew they had. She also shares a contractor partnership strategy that lets her package and pitch deals to investors before a single offer is written.Inside this episode:The ARV formula flippers actually use and why most listing agents are pricing renovation properties way too highHow to analyze short-term rentals like a business, including the 60% occupancy rule Rachel uses for seasonal Michigan marketsWhy multifamily properties should never be priced like single-family homes and what happens when they areThe Tuesday Zoom and contractor walkthrough system Rachel built to source, evaluate, and pitch deals to her investor clientsHow joining a free local investor group and showing up consistently became her primary source of new businessWant to connect with Rachel?Follow Rachel on Instagram: @rachel_kokosenski Email: rachel@smalleganrealestate.com Website: smalleganrealestate.comIf you want to future-proof your business by learning how the biggest buyer segment in today's market actually thinks, this episode is required listening. The friends you cheered on through their own businesses didn't even acknowledge yours. If that's where you are right now, this episode is for you.In this conversation, Michelle is naming a pattern she's seeing across her client roster: the warm market silence that almost every new coach faces in their first 90 days. The texts that don't get returned. The colleagues who don't respond. The friends who quietly disappear when you start talking about your business. Most coaches take this personally. Michelle is here to tell you it's not. You'll hear the real psychology behind why your warm market goes quiet (it's not rejection, it's something else entirely), why your business will not be built by the people who knew you before you became a coach, and a specific strategy Michelle is teaching her clients right now to bypass the warm market trap and find their first paying clients. She also walks through three actions you can take this week to stop drowning and start moving forward, even if you've been quietly stuck for months. If you're a newly certified coach who's been launching to crickets, this episode is going to feel like a hug. What You'll Learn in This EpisodeWhy your warm market is going silent (and the three reasons it's not personal)The psychology behind why people don't respond to your launch announcementsWhy coaching is hard for some of your closest people to support, even if they love youThe "research call" strategy that's getting Michelle's clients their first paying clientsHow to invite strangers into a 30-minute conversation that often turns into a coaching relationshipWhat to do when you've been hiding the fact that you've worked with a coach yourselfThree specific actions you can take this week to break the silenceFree Live Workshop: Saturday at 9 AM PTIf this episode landed for you and you want to learn a step by step roadmap in building your coaching biz with paying clients. Are you quietly keeping score in your relationships?“They never call me back.” “I'm always the one reaching out.” “I sent them business… where's mine?”It's hard not to notice those moments. But when we hold onto them, they start to build. And over time, they can quietly tarnish really good relationships. In this episode of Life at Ten Tenths, Garrett and Matt unpack why this mindset — even when subtle — can slowly erode your friendships, partnerships, and referral-based business. What started as a conversation between Matt and his six-year-old daughter about playground dynamics turned into a powerful reminder about how we show up as adults.Inside this episode, we explore:The difference between conditional and unconditional relationshipsThe danger of “always” and “never” thinkingWhy agents often misread silence from clientsHow resentment quietly creeps into referral networksThe shift from trying to get… to choosing to giveIf you've ever felt frustrated that someone wasn't matching your effort…This conversation will hit home.Because the agents who build rock-solid databases and referral businesses aren't watching the scoreboard. They're giving. They're present. They're playing the long game. And when you make that shift? It changes everything.
Transitioning clients to junior advisors is one of the hardest moves a growing practice can make — and most advisors get it wrong.
What if the reason your coaching business is not growing, and your therapist income still feels unpredictable, has nothing to do with your expertise? In this episode, I share the business framework I use to help people create real momentum, and why so many therapists feel like they are doing everything right but still not seeing results with their therapist marketing. We look at what might be missing behind the scenes, where opportunities are quietly being lost across the client journey, and what needs to shift if you want more consistency without doing more.In this episode, you'll learn:How to audit your current marketing, strengthen your content, and see what is actually workingWhy your email list matters so much, and how it helps with building trust with clientsHow to turn the opportunities already sitting in your DMs into real client momentum through better sales conversations and a stronger follow up proctessHow free content can either build trust or keep people stuck, and how to turn it into consistent coaching leadsIf you have been craving a simpler way to market your work, create consistency, and build a strategy that actually leads to revenue, this episode will show you where to focus next.To being heard and seen, CarlyResources from this episode:Therapreneur: A Therapist's Guide to 3x Your Therapy IncomeThe Coach IntensiveListener Giveaway! If you've been loving the podcast, this is the best way to support it and get something amazing back. I'm going to say something that might sting a little…If your junior stylist isn't building fast enough, it's probably not their fault. It's a systems problem. In this episode, I'm breaking down exactly why your new talent isn't getting booked the way you expected, and what to do about it. If getting clients still feels unpredictable, the problem is rarely your talent or effort. It is usually the absence of an evergreen lead generation system. For years, I watched designers move between busy seasons and slow months because their marketing only worked when they were actively pushing it forward. Evergreen lead generation changes that completely. Instead of constantly searching for the next project, your design business begins attracting aligned clients consistently in the background. In this episode, I break down how design business owners can stop relying on short term visibility and start building long term attraction through positioning, content, websites, and paid systems that work even when you are offline. You will learn:The difference between active marketing and evergreen lead generationWhy most designer websites fail to convert qualified clientsHow content can attract clients months after it is publishedHow paid ads become predictable lead flow when structured correctlyGrab a cup of coffee, your notes, and get ready to build a design business that attracts clients without constant chasing.Aventive Academy's Resources:Fully Booked Designer (6-week biz program) : https://aventiveacademy.com/fullybookeddesigner/From Crickets to Clients: https://aventiveacademy.com/crickets-to-clients/Client Portal for Designers: https://aventiveacademy.com/client-portal/ The Wealthy Client Blueprint: https://aventiveacademy.com/wealthy-client/Brand Guidelines Template: https://aventiveacademy.com/brand-guidelines/ The Creative CEO Accelerator: https://aventiveacademy.com/accelerator
Send us Fan MailMost interior designers and small business owners believe cybersecurity is something they will deal with later or that their business is simply too small to be of interest to hackers. That assumption is no longer true.In this episode of The Business of Beautiful Spaces, Laura sits down with Jason deCourcy, founder of Xoomler, to uncover the real reason small businesses, solo entrepreneurs, and one-person design firms are now the primary target for cybercriminals.Hackers have changed their strategy. Instead of going after large corporations with robust security teams, they're intentionally targeting small businesses that lack dedicated IT resources and ongoing security monitoring. Even more alarming, many attacks are not immediate. Hackers often gain access quietly, stay hidden, learn how your business operates, identify your clients, and wait for the right moment to exploit vulnerabilities.Jason breaks down what's really happening behind the scenes and explains why interior designers are especially vulnerable due to the sensitive client information, financial data, and communication systems they manage every day. This conversation is not about fear. It's about awareness, prevention, and protecting the business you've worked so hard to build. In this episode, you'll learn:Why small businesses and solo entrepreneurs are the perfect target for cybercrimeHow hackers infiltrate businesses quietly and stay hiddenWhat types of data cybercriminals are really after and why your clients' information mattersWhy basic antivirus software is no longer enoughThe real cost of downtime for a small businessPractical steps you can take to protect your business and your clientsHow proactive cybersecurity can prevent a much larger and more costly issueIf you've ever thought, “There's nothing in my business a hacker would want,” this episode may completely change how you think about protecting your company.Connect with JasonIf you'd like to learn more or book a consultation with Jason, you can reach him directly at:jason@xoomler.comIn just one focused hour, we'll dive into whatever you need most—pricing strategies, client management, attracting high-end clients or building repeat business. He got on a plane to Baltimore for training and called his parents after three days. They asked what the job was. He told them he didn't know — but it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. What followed was 27 and a half years at one company. From entry-level recruiter to running national sales and enterprise accounts across automotive, defense, and government — while that company scaled into the largest privately held staffing firm in the country. This episode is the blueprint for how he did it. The through-line is what Dave calls diagnosis-based selling. Not transactional. Not even question-based. Diagnosis. The difference: question-based selling asks what a client needs today. Diagnosis-based selling understands where a client sits in their product life cycle, predicts what they'll need three months from now, and positions talent before the req ever exists. That shift — from reactive to predictive — is what made Dave the call people made when the stakes were too high. He breaks down how he cracked Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai when Aerotech already owned GM, Ford, and Chrysler — by becoming the expert in markets his own company didn't yet understand. He talks about stumbling into defense staffing almost by accident: a colleague drives past a shipyard, asks one right question, and six months later they're running $500,000 a week in spread with 1,800 contractors in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He was grumbling about 4am traffic until he started seeing soldiers at the airport. That moment rewired something. After that, it wasn't headhunting anymore. He talks about the long game on relationships — the HR generalist you place today is the VP of People who calls you in seven years, and most recruiters blow that window without realizing it. He talks about navigating enterprise accounts where no single person signs the deal. And he talks about what it actually takes to build a culture where people stay and grow. Thirty years in. Still loves it. This is why. What you'll learn: The difference between question-based and diagnosis-based selling — and how to shiftHow to use product life cycle mapping to break into new industriesWhy candidates you place today are your best future clientsHow to find the real decision maker in an enterprise accountThe first three moves to make to change your sales approach in 30 daysHow AI should be used to keep recruiting human — not replace it Sponsor:
Chip Summers worked 2,900 hours a year for over 25 years. Every Saturday. Some Sundays. Always behind. Then he made a series of decisions that transformed his firm.He raised prices across the board. He moved on from high-maintenance, low-return clients. He gave up control and let his staff handle work from start to finish. He invested in technology that made everyone more efficient. And in December 2025, for the first time in over 25 years, he was caught up. He had almost nothing to do. It felt weird, but wonderful.Today, Chip's eight-person firm in Orangeburg, South Carolina doesn't work Saturdays anymore. They close every Friday after tax season. During tax season, they're only open half days on Fridays. His staff isn't burnt out. His clients bring organized documents instead of shoe boxes. And he's serving as Vice Chair of the South Carolina Board of Accountancy while running a healthier practice than he ever thought possible. This is the fourth episode in our Power of Focus series, where we explore how CPA firm owners use focus as a strategic advantage. Chip's story shows that transformation doesn't happen overnight, but when you touch every aspect of your practice with intentional changes, the results compound. The conversation covers:How working 2,900 hours a year with no end in sight became the motivation for changeWhy pricing was only part of the transformation, giving up control mattered just as muchThe year they set minimums and lost fewer than five clientsHow technology investments made the team more efficient without increasing hoursWhy closing Fridays after tax season boosted staff morale and reduced turnoverThe decision to exit attestation work and focus entirely on tax planning and consultingHow being upfront about pricing changes led to almost zero pushback from clientsChip's biggest lesson? You can't do it all yourself. Most accountants want to touch everything from start to finish. But when you structure your staff to handle work properly, invest in the right technology, and price your services to match the value you deliver, you create capacity you didn't know was possible. And that capacity changes everything. This episode is for firm owners working too many hours for the revenue they're generating, leaders curious about how to delegate without losing quality, practitioners wondering if it's possible to run a firm without weekend work, and anyone ready to transform multiple aspects of their practice at once.Time Stamps:00:14 - Introduction: Chip Summers, Orangeburg CPA since 199101:34 - Serving as Vice Chair of SC Board of Accountancy02:36 - The CPA firm that said yes to everyone for 45 years03:18 - Why being everything to everybody became impossible04:01 - Working 2,900 hours a year with no end in sight05:32 - Caught up for the first time in 25 years: how it felt06:10 - You can't do it all yourself: restructuring Accounting staff workflows07:17 - Technology investments that made everyone more efficient07:29 - Discussing pricing upfront and what changed08:39 - From shoe boxes to organized Tax clients09:24 - A completely different CPA firm than four years ago10:21 - No more Saturday work for staff10:57 - Raising prices 5-10% every year and losing fewer than five clients12:03 - The biggest change: giving up control13:27 - When staff burn out, thDownload Now: https://poegroupadvisors.com/accounting-practice-academy/increase-letter/Price increases are nothing to fear. In this episode of Fitness Business Insights with Matt Robinson, we tackle one of the most frustrating problems in the fitness industry:People know what a personal trainer is. Many of them know they'd benefit from coaching. They may even follow you, watch your content, and see you around the gym.So why aren't they buying? The answer often isn't visibility. It's what Google calls the “messy middle” — the stage where people are aware of the problem and aware of the solution, but spend months comparing options, delaying decisions, and talking themselves in and out of taking action. In this episode, I explain why fitness businesses are different to most industries, why many PTs jump straight from awareness to conversion, and what you should do instead to help potential clients move forward. We cover:Why this is rarely an awareness problem once you've been active for a whileWhat the “messy middle” is and why it's where most of your audience sitsWhy hard-sell conversion content can backfire on people who aren't readyHow depth beats reach when it comes to turning followers into clientsHow to create long-form content and real-world experiences that build trustThree questions to diagnose where your marketing is currently leaking leadsA simple weekly action to start clearing your messy middle bottleneckIf you're consistently showing up but enquiries feel stuck, this episode will help you understand what's really happening — and what to change next.

Find Your Brand Messaging Superpower: Take the QuizWhat if I told you that it's not your offer, it's your messaging. You're looking at your offer suite, wondering if you need to burn the whole thing down, hire that coach because something's not working, and you're just thinking to yourself, why can't I get this right? And I get it. It's so frustrating when you feel like you have a really good offer. But for some reason people aren't biting in the way that you want them to bite. Maybe it takes a long sales call or it takes you being in person for three days and you just kind of like shoving it down people's throat and then they're eventually like, okay, I'll try it. Here is the thing you don't want that kind of energy behind your offer. You want to have an offer that when people see it, they're like, yes, I get it. I love it. This is for me. So today I want to give you the reframe that maybe it's not your offer, it might be your messaging...If you've ever thought:“My offer is good… so why isn't anyone buying?”“Why does it take a long sales call (or three days in person) to get a yes?”“Why does selling feel heavier than it should?”This episode is the reframe you need. In this episode we talk about:Why offer messaging is not about features, deliverables, or who it's “for”The real reason people hesitate to buy (even when they trust you)How weak differentiation quietly kills conversionsWhy deleting your personality in sales mode is costing you clientsHow low stakes messaging keeps people stuck (and how to raise them without being pushy)The difference between external differentiation and internal differentiationHow to make your offers so clear people can self-select without a sales callWhat it actually takes to create messaging that scales your businessGuess what your offer isn't broken. Your messaging just needs to be louder, clearer, and more you.

This month, I'm doing something new on the podcast: breaking down real client wins and showing you exactly how they happened. In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on how one salon brought in 81 new clients in a single quarter, for a brand new location, without paid ads, viral reels, or posting seven days a week. This didn't happen by accident. It happened because the business was set up correctly and visibility was done in a way that actually matches how people find salons in real life.Inside this episode, we cover:Why new clients are never random (even when it feels like they are)What visibility actually means vs. just “posting on Instagram”How local presence + online clarity compound faster than social aloneThe role leadership and training play in keeping new clientsHow 81 new clients can turn into $236K through cash compoundingWhy predictable growth beats flash-in-the-pan momentum every timeIf you've ever felt anxious about where your next clients are coming from, or tired of guessing what's “working,” this episode will change how you think about growth.Ready to build predictable client flow? The Salon Visibility System is a 90-minute masterclass that shows you exactly how to make your salon easy to find, trusted, and chosen — without relying on trends or algorithms.

In this special coaching episode of Passionate & Prosperous, I coach Michael Barnes, a certified health and life coach in the early stages of building his coaching business.Michael came into the session wanting clarity around three things:where to focus his limited time and energy while working a full-time job, how to talk about his work without sounding “coachy,” and what it really looks like to embody being a coach — not turn it on and off depending on the room. What unfolded was a layered, honest coaching conversation where we got to the heart of what Michael actually does, who he's uniquely positioned to help, and why his lived experience gives him what I call an unfair advantage — even if he hasn't fully been using it yet. You'll hear Michael have real-time breakthroughs around his messaging, his ideal client, and why people are already drawn to him — not because of his certifications, but because of who he is, how he lives, and the life he's actively creating. We also talk about why clients don't hire coaches because of polished language or perfect positioning — they hire us because they see us being, doing, or having something they want for themselves. And why sharing your story, your evolution, and your perspective isn't optional if you want your work to land.In this episode, we cover:Why it's important to know what outcomes and results your clients are really looking for (and not just what you think they want)How to stop hiding behind “coach language” and start speaking in a way that calls in your ideal clientsHow to leverage your unfair advantage — and why it's a key to knowing your nicheWhat it really means to embody your work instead of trying to switch it on for marketingWhy people are drawn to coaches who are visibly living what they teachHow specificity (not being vague or universal) makes your message more powerfulMaking intentional choices about visibility and connection when you don't have unlimited timeThis episode is a powerful reminder that business growth isn't driven by finding the perfect script, niche sentence, or marketing formula. They're built by developing your skills, taking action before you feel “ready,” and letting your lived experience lead the way.
It's 2026—and most accounting firms are still trying to grow advisory revenue by chasing new clients.More leads.More traffic.More strangers. But the most profitable advisory opportunity most firms have isn't out there. It's already inside their client list.In this episode of The Growth Minded Accountant, Lee Reams II and Rebekah Barton explain why existing clients are your biggest advisory advantage—and why firms that understand this grow faster, charge more confidently, and build advisory practices that actually scale. You'll learn:Why current clients are 3–5x more likely to buy advisory servicesThe real difference between compliance and advisory, and why it changes how you sellWhy most advisory proposals fail—even with trusted clientsHow education “foams the runway” before advisory conversationsWhy advisory works best as a portfolio of client moments, not a single offeringHow systems and playbooks make advisory predictable instead of effort-basedIf advisory feels harder to sell than it should, this episode will help you understand why—and what to do differently in 2026.Your best advisory revenue isn't in future leads. It's already in your relationships.

In this episode of the Friends in Beauty Podcast, I am sharing the simple but powerful decision that completely changed the type of clients I attract and the way I experience my beauty business. As I kick off the first episode of 2026, I reflect on what truly shifted my career. It was not more content, more hustle, or more trends. It was the decision to stop talking to everyone and get clear on who I actually wanted to serve. Once I made that choice, everything began to change. My positioning became clearer, my boundaries became stronger, and the clients who came into my world were aligned, respectful, and willing to pay my rates. In this episode, I walk you through why clarity creates confidence, how positioning affects your pricing, and why defining your ideal client helps you attract high paying and high quality clients. I also share how content, language, and visibility naturally fall into place once you are clear on who you are speaking to.If you have been feeling scattered, underpaid, or unsure about your next move, this episode will help you step into 2026 with focus, confidence, and intention.
