Bachellet amesema “Nawasihi sana Taliban wazingatie kanuni za utawala unaosikiliza na kuzingatia haki za binadamu, na wafanye kazi ili kuanzisha tena mshikamano wa kijamii na maridhiano pamoja na kuheshimu haki za wote ambao wameteseka katika miongo ya mizozo. Mstari wa hatari usiopaswa kuvukwa itakuwa ndio kipimo chao Taliban hususan watakavyowatendea wanawake na wasichana, na kuheshimu haki zao za uhuru, uhuru wa kutembea, elimu, kujieleza na ajira, zikiongozwa na kanuni za kimataifa za haki za binadamu. Hyundai Automotive South Africa (HASA) will probably record a 15% drop in new-vehicle sales in 2020, says CEO Niall Lynch. This is better than the 25% to 30% drop expected in the overall domestic new-vehicle market, he adds. HASA has increased its market share in the dealer passenger car market by 2.1%, to 10.9%, year-to-end-September, notes Lynch, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. “For two months we even outsold Toyota.” Hyundai’s share of the total market (excluding the medium and heavy truck segments) stood at 7% in September, up from 5.7% in the same month last year, notes Lynch. He is hopeful the launch of the new Grand i10 hatchback will further boost sales for the imported Korean brand. The widespread impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has, however, also taken its toll on the normally popular small car segment of the market. HASA sales and operations director Stanley Anderson believes Grand i10 sales could reach around 250 to 300 units a month, down from 350 units in a normal market. He says the five-door hatch segment in South Africa, which makes up 30% of the total car, bakkie and van market, has seen a 32.6% drop in sales year-to-end-August, to 54 650 units. The third generation Grand i10, imported from India, is more spacious, more premium and boasts more technology, adds Anderson. The vehicle is Hyundai’s biggest seller in the local market. Just shy of 49 300 units of the previous generation model were sold in South Africa from 2014 to this year. Apart from its new looks, all Grand i10 versions are now equipped with an infotainment system with a 6.2-inch touch screen, which displays Apple CarPlay or Android Auto when connected to a smart phone. The range makes use of a 998 cc three-cylinder engine and a slightly bigger 1 197 cc Kappa 4-cylinder engine. The 1-litre engine – used in the Motion and Fluid derivatives – delivers 49 kW peak power at 5 500 r/min, and 94 Nm maximum torque at 3 500 r/min, while its 1.2-litre sibling – which drives two of the Fluid versions – reaches its power peak of 61 kW at 6 000 r/min and maximum torque of 114 Nm at 4 000 r/min. The 1-litre engine delivers power via a five-speed manual gearbox to the front wheels. There is also a choice of a four-speed automatic gearbox for both the 1-litre and 1.2-litre Motion and Fluid derivatives. All new Grand i10 versions come with driver and front passenger airbags and Isofix child seat attachments on the rear seats. An advanced braking system and electronic brake distribution are also standard features in all derivatives. Pricing starts at R191000 for the manual, and R216900 for the automatic. A seven-year/200 000 km manufacturer’s warranty is part of the package, as well as a one-year/15 000 km service plan and five-year/150 000 km roadside assistance programme.

Hoy traemos a Robert López, un compositor que al graduarse en Yale tenía claro que quería dedicarse a escribir musicales. Coincidió con Jeff Marx en un taller de composición con 23 años y juntos crearon un episodio de los Muppets titulado "Kermit, príncipe de Dinamarca", una parodia de Hamlet a la que seguiría "Avenue Q", un musical inspirado en “Barrio Sésamo”, con el que ganaría el Premio Tony al mejor musical en 2004. Robert López conoció a Trey Parker y Matt Stone, los creadores de “South Park” y trabajaron juntos en "The Book of Mormon", otro musical que empleaba palabras que nunca se habían dicho en escena en Broadway, pero con una partitura de López muy pegadiza con la que consiguieron  en 2011 nueve Premios Tony incluidos el de mejor musical y mejor partitura, además del Grammy al mejor disco de un musical teatral. López escribió canciones para series de televisión y más tarde comenzó a colaborar con su mujer Kristin Anderson-López en canciones para un espectáculo en los parques Disney de donde les surgiría el encargo de la Disney para escribir las canciones e la película "Frozen" con la que ganarían el Oscar a la mejor canción original en 2014 por la popularísima "Let it go". Vamos a hablar de "THE BOOK OF MORMON", musical estrenado en 2011 en Broadway, que teniendo detrás a los autores de trabajos tan políticamente incorrectos y provocadores como son “Avenue Q” y “South Park”, tenían todas las miradas puestas en ellos desde cuando se conoció el nombre del musical que estaba preparando. Es un musical irreverente, con un lenguaje súper explícito que por supuesto no es apropiado para niños, pero es que además han armado un musical con un  humor descacharrante, poniendo en evidencia algunas formas de evangelización de la que han escogido a los mormones, pero que podría aplicarse a muchas otras  y hasta el mismo autor y director del musical Matt Stone lo definió como “una carta de amor de un ateo a la religión”. Todos esperaban las reacciones airadas de la iglesia de los mormones que reconocieron que se trataba de una parodia y la propia distorsión de la realidad era lo que la hacía atractiva y a menudo divertida, hasta el extremo de que incluso llegaron a utilizar frases como "ya has visto la obra, ahora lee el libro, porque el libro siempre es mejor". A pesar de todo hay que admitir, que tocando el tema de la religión, juega muy bien con los conceptos de la fe y la duda, consiguiendo componer situaciones muy divertidas, apoyadas con una efectiva partitura de Robert López, antes de que fuese absorbido por la Disney con “Frozen” y “Coco”, que aquí ofrece múltiples guiños a los fans del musical y a los seguidores de sagas como “El Señor de los Anillos”, “Star Wars” o “Star Trek”.
