BenGreenfieldFitness.com/devouredbycannabis Pastor Doug Wilson first joined me for a podcast episode about his book Confessions of a Food Catholic, for which we recorded a show entitled, "Why Your Pursuit Of A Better Body & The Perfect Diet Is Never Going To Make You Happy, How Christians Should Make Food Choices, The Ultimate Source Of Joy & Much More". Since then, Doug has, as is his usual practice, been churning out plenty more books, including a couple of my favorite fictional titles of his Ecochondriacs and Ride, Sally, Ride, and quite recently, the book Devoured by Cannabis: Weed, Liberty, and Legalization, which is the topic of this podcast. In Devoured by Cannabis, Doug argues that marijuana usage is not comparable to alcohol consumption or to smoking cigarettes, and demonstrates that the use of recreational marijuana is definitely not an option for Christians, and just a bad idea in general. He says that liberty for potheads means tyranny for everyone, including the smokers enslaved by the drug. Considering I just interviewed Josiah Hesse about his book Runner's High: How a Movement of Cannabis-Fueled Athletes Is Changing the Science of Sports, I thought it would be timely to get Doug's take on the topic too. Doug has been a family friend for years, and is the minister of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, which is a member of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC) and the church I and my wife Jessa attended all throughout my childhood and during college. After his stint in the submarine service of the U.S. Navy, he attended the University of Idaho where he obtained an MA in philosophy. As one of its founders, Doug has served on the board of Logos School, a classical and Christian school (K-12), since its inception. He is also a Senior Fellow of theology at New St. Andrews College, which I consider to be one of the better liberal arts institutions in the country. He is the author of numerous books, including Reforming Marriage, The Case for Classical Christian Education, Letter from a Christian Citizen, and Blackthorn Winter. Doug is also the general editor for the Omnibus textbook series. You can check out his blog here, and his metric ton of grandkids can be found spread across the planet with rapidly increasing frequency. Doug's brother, Gordon Wilson, has also joined me for the podcast "Are Christians Destroying The Environment? A Biblical Approach to Environmentalism and the “Dominion Mandate.”. Things are getting animated at the WDWE Podcast. Per Phil's recommendation, Ben tried anime for the first time with Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It raises some interesting points: What even is anime? How is it different than Western storytelling? Is Ben too weirded out to keep watching, or is there actually something to like here? The guys also talk about Ingrid Goes West, a dark social media comedy they both recently watched starting Aubrey Plaza, 2 Marvel stars and Ice Cube's son, plus Cruella, a villain origin story that no one asked for but everyone seems to love. Ben has WAYWA this week and discusses Downton Abbey, a slow-paced British period drama that he has been taking so long to watch, he's forgotten what the plot is. Ben from Auburn has asked us for help with his girlfriend Angela who he says wants to start an “Only Fans” account in which she would livestream herself showing and doing…things...for money. He says she needs money since she lost her job during the Pandemic, and thinks it will be an easy way to make a lot of it. Ben is not down with this, even though she says she won’t show her face, so no one will know she is, because he feels it’s the same as if she were actually with other guys. When Angela comes on, she says Ben is over-reacting. She says it’s totally safe, she has several friends doing it making a ton of money, and since she has no distinguishing birthmarks or tattoos no one will ever know it’s her. But can she keep up those limits? And does that matter – it’s her body, can’t she do what she wants with it? Is Ben just being insecure? Should they Make Up or Break Up? And what exactly did Claire just admit to?

In this episode we return to Trillium, Oregon to visit our fictional hero and the “James Bond” of the public sector, Ben Cromarty. As true fan-boys of author Scott Lazenby, we were enthralled to partake in a new bureaucratic adventure. However, as Ben began slipping in and out of statutory loopholes without hesitation or remorse, aligning himself with questionable nonprofits, throwing basic principles of competitive procurement to the wind, and hobnobbing with venture capitalists, we found ourselves questioning our loyalty and devotion. The world's creation myths talk of massive destruction. Science is now talking of significant climate change. We seem to be stuck in a cycle of destruction, and evidence is growing that the time may be among us… Ben Davidson of Suspicious0bservers.org has been making amazing advancements in predicting weather, earthquakes and earth changes by studying electromagnetic activity and interactions between the Earth and the Sun. He has recently been compiling powerful evidence and data supporting the possibility of a pending polar shift. The poles are always in motion, but recently they have begun moving rapidly away from each other. Furthermore, he has compiled data that demonstrates the Earth's magnetic field, which typically weakens by 5% per century is now weakening at a rate of 5% per decade. In a recent broadcast, Ben reviewed the work of Chan Thomas, who wrote The Adam and Eve Story. The story states that throughout the history of Earth, there were multiple highly-advanced societies that rose and fell to cataclysms periodically, the most recent being a part of Noah's flood. Chan then goes onto explain the mechanisms that triggered the cataclysm and describes what the cataclysms look like via crustal displacement (think about the recent 2012 movie). What's interesting is that this story was classified by the CIA until 2013, when the declassified portions of it. The remainder of the work is still classified. Why? Is Ben onto something? Are we moving towards a major catastrophe of biblical proportions? AI - Weaponizing Everything We have been tracking the evolution of AI for quite some time on this show. We are now witnessing the birth of a race of machines that was once the work of science fiction. Robotic animals are being created to become autonomous, some of which are being used in the applications of weapons development. Recently, Google is working to create AI software that can create other AI software. Is such an ability something we want to bestow on a new race of intelligent machines - that are also being weaponized? it seems as if we are building towards a precipice between AI development, climate change, and UFO disclosure. Seemingly unrelated on the surface, but the more you dig into them, the more connected they seem to be. Are we witnessing the build-up to major Earth changes? More at https://www.6SenseMedia.net
