Chevonne O'Shaughnessy Chevonne O'Shaugnessy is the co-founder and president of American Cinema International. She began her career as the President of International sales for PM Entertainment. Her 10 years in the position resulted in the production and sales of over 176 feature films and two successful television series. PM produced and distributed original prime time product for numerous international TV clients and domestic cable networks, with the distinction of being one of the first suppliers of HBO World Premier Movies. PM remains one of few companies amid the competitive world of independent filmmaking that consistently generates high quality Action Adventure feature films. She has also served as the executive producer of numerous films and TV mini-series including the Jack Hunter trilogy, El Dorado, Born to Race, and many more.In 2000, Chevonne founded American Cinema International, along with George Shamieh, with the goal of distributing and producing high quality commercial motion pictures throughout the world. In less than ten years, ACI produced 20 feature films with international sales and domestic prime time broadcasts on USA, SyFy, and HBO Premier.Through her experience in international sales, Chevonne recognized a niche market for inspirational and family-oriented material. In 2008, she co-founded Mission Pictures International with the goal of creating a brand of quality content to best serve that unique market. Within their first year, Mission Pictures successfully acquired more than 12 titles for theatrical and TV release, and quickly achieved their mission to bring positive, inspirational messages back to the global marketplace.Since its inception, MPI has acquired over a hundred films for theatrical, home video and TV release, and has become the international destination for films appealing to the family and faith market. Some of their major feature films include box office hit October Baby, 2012 Emmy nominee The Heart of Christmas, Letters to God, Mighty Macsand more. The company's original production Love Finds You in Sugarcreek released in 2014 became the highest-rated broadcast ever for UP Channel and garnered Movieguide's Epiphany Prize for the year's Best TV Movie. A second film, Love Finds You in Charm, premiered on UP Channel in June 2015. The latest film, Love Finds You in Valentine, premiered Valentine's Day 2016 with the best ratings in the series yet. To date the Love Finds You movies have reached more than nine million viewers. With Chevonne's departure from MPI, she has created ACI INSPIRES with George Shamieh, the newest brand of inspirational entertainment focusing on family films for everyone. She hopes to continue creating and acquiring strong inspirational stories, and plans to expand ACI INSPIRES to become the largest title holder for inspirational content. Their first TV movie, An Uncommon Grace, featuring Jes Macallan, Sean Faris and Kelly McGillis, was released on February 12th, 2017 on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel. Despite competing with the Grammys on its premiere night, An Uncommon Grace had 1.8 million unduplicated views, marking it the most-watched premiere in the history of Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. ACI Inspires is currently in pre-production for the three-part series with UP TV and also at the same time developing The Girl From Felony Bay with Walden Media, adapted from the best-selling book of the same name.In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Chevonne currently sits on Board of Directors of the Bentonville Film Festival. She also serves on the Board of Directors of her family's I.A. O'Shaughnessy Foundation which gives generously to the University of Notre Dame, St. Thomas University, and numerous other philanthropic causes each year. Another solid Legends of Tomorrow episode directed by one of the cast. This is Jes Macallan second time directing a Legends episode and as usual we get a good mix of the silly, over-the-top Legends hijinks with some serious moments. We're also two episodes out from the finale and while Gidget is still around it makes us wonder what's really going to happen. We're still suspicious of Thawne and think he's not really dead and is up to something. Also the announcement that Donald Faison would be joining the show in finale to play a character that sounds a lot like Booster Gold. And if that's the case, we have some speculation of the direction the show could be going. Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month. The Superhero Show Show #389Who Watches the Watcher? It's the premiere of Marvel's What If..?, plus the season premiere of Stargirl, on an all-new episode of The Superhero Show Show!On a very special episode of The Superhero Show Show, Mike and Ryan are focusing on the debut of Peggy Carter: Super-Soldier, on the series premiere of What If...? Mike and Ryan are lifelong fans of the comic book series of the same name...but those comics are about the 616. Does the MCU have the lore to start creating its own alternate dimension stories? And how do (most of) our favorite actors take to voice acting the characters they made famous? Tune in to see how the first animated series of the Fiege TV era turned out!But before that, Mike and Ryan are breaking from the rules a little bit (probably because Cassie isn't here) and discussing a comic book-based...MOVIE!?! That's right: apparently, more than just television shows can be based on comic books, and this week they're discussing James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. Will Gunn do a better job with the material than David Ayer? And will Mike and Ryan be able to look past their OBVIOUS Marvel leanings to give The Suicide Squad a fair review? All of that, plus discussions on every other comic book-based television show of the week, including season premieres of Titans and Stargirl, along with the return of Riverdale, the penultimate Superman and Lois, and just a regular old Legends of Tomorrow about cosmic bowling. One thing you have to admire the Arrowverse shows for is how they give opportunities for their actors to get behind the camera and direct some episodes. And even better, those episodes are usually pretty good. The Final Frame is Jes Macallan's (Ava) first shot as a director and it's pretty well done. This is the first Legends episode back after a big break and the show picks up where it left off and gets us right back on board. Constantine's magic addiction is clearly going to be a big problem and unlike other addiction storylines in the Arrowverse, this one feels natural because it fits right in with the character we've seen. Also needs to be said that Nate is being written extremely well this season and we like seeing the maturity from him in his relationships. And we think the formula for not making Spooner terrible is to pair her up with someone else who is being just as stubborn and boneheaded as she is. First with Astra and this time with Mick. That's the winning formula they should stick with. Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month. The premieres and finales just keep rolling, and this week on the podcast, we’re diving in with a big one. The Good Place wrapped up its four season run last week, and this episode, Noel and Kate give it its due, spotlighting the finale with a lengthy chat before looking back on the final season and the series as a whole. Before that, though, there’s a full week of TV to discuss. We kick things off with the comedies and some reality, including the Brooklyn Nine-Nine double premiere, Fresh Off the Boat, Schitt’s Creek, and a few thoughts from Kate on the Superbowl LIV Halftime Show. Then we move over to drama and genre and look at the premieres of Briarpatch and The Sinner, Stumptown, Doctor Who, The Flash, and a delightfully musical DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Take a listen, then reach out with your thoughts on The Good Place, the Superbowl, and anything else catching your TV fancy. The list includes all five DC superhero series, The Flash (Season 5), Arrow (Season 7), Supergirl (Season 4) and Legends of Tomorrow (Season 4), joined by newcomer Black Lighting (Season 2) as well as the venerable Supernatural, picked up for a 14th (!) season, sophomore success Riverdale (Season 3) and comedies Jane the Virgin (Season 5) and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Season 4) for what could be the praised duo's final seasons. http://deadline.com/2018/04/the-cw-renewal-10-series-riverdale-all-5-dc-shows-supernatural-dynasty-jane-the-virgin-crazy-ex-girlfriend-1202356900/ Spoiler Room: Scoop on The Originals, New Girl, NCIS: LA and more (Date: 05 April 2018) As Oliver continues to alienate everyone who loves him, expect to see more of the same in the season-ender — though it may not end the way you'd expect. “It's a very unusual kind of finale,” EP Marc Guggenheim says. “It definitely has a cliffhanger, but not a traditional cliffhanger. Last year's finale was a traditional cliffhanger. It was very much an ‘Oh my God, what's going to happen?' This is a different kind of cliffhanger. I would say it's somewhere on the spectrum of the cliffhanger of season 1, which was like, ‘How is Oliver gonna go forward?' and the cliffhanger of season 5, which was more of a traditional cliffhanger. This, I think, falls somewhere in the middle. We have a few surprises up our sleeves. There's a couple of twists, there's a couple of things that we're doing that are not only very unexpected, but also unprecedented not just for Arrow, but for the other DC superhero shows as well.” http://ew.com/tv/2018/04/05/spoiler-room-originals-new-girl-ncisla/ GENERAL DC NEWS: Legends of Tomorrow promotes Jes Macallan to series regular for season 4 (Date: 03 April 2018) Following the news that DC's Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed for a fourth season, EW can exclusively reveal that Jes Macallan has been promoted to series regular. Asked about Diggle's greatest challenge going into Season 6, Ramsey replied, “We have to break Diggle. I think Season 6 we'll see Diggle get broken in a way he hasn't been broken before. It already starts in [the first episode], and I think there's a certain amount of it that will continue throughout the season. I think it's an arc for Diggle that we haven't seen, even beyond his brother coming back to life and killing his evil brother and that leading to the death of the Canary.” Diggle's brokenness will — in part — come from the trauma of his island experience will “greatly affect the whole team.” Diggle is typically an open book — keeping both Team Arrow and Lyla informed about what's going on in his life. With these “monumental” physical and mental changes happening to him, it sounds like we're going to see a version of Diggle we have never seen before. http://www.cbr.com/diggle-broken-arrow-season-6/ ‘Arrow' Adds Sydelle Noel for Season 6 (EXCLUSIVE) (Date: 04 Aug 2017) The CW's first DC show, “Arrow,” has cast Sydelle Noel in a recurring role for its sixth season, Variety has learned exclusively. Noel will play Samanda Watson, an FBI agent who will be investigating Oliver Queen's connection to the Green Arrow. Noel was most recently seen on “GLOW” on Netflix, and she also has a role in Marvel's upcoming “Blank Panther” movie. http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/arrow-season-6-casting-sydelle-noel-exclusive-1202515492/ ‘Arrow' Producers Already Have Plans For Season 7 [TCA 2017] (Date: 03 Aug 2017) While previewing season six with the Television Critics Association after a panel for Legends, producer Marc Guggenheim, who also co-created and produces Arrow, said the Arrow writers already have ideas for season seven. “We've already started talking about ooh, we have a shape for season seven already,” Guggenheim said. “This is the earliest we've ever had an idea for a season that far ahead, but it's come out of our conversations about season six.” Beyond season seven, it may be time to begin thinking about giving Arrow a proper series finale. However, when that inevitable time comes, Guggenheim would not require long-term planning to deliver the ending he and co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg have planned. “I think we've always had an endpoint in mind,” Guggenheim said. “We've always known how we want to end the show. That end point doesn't require X number of seasons. If we had to, we could work towards it as long as we knew with enough leeway, we could work towards the moment we've been talking about since day one.” http://www.slashfilm.com/arrow-producers-already-have-plans-for-season-7-tca-2017/ CW Announces Fall Dates For DC Superhero Crossovers – TCA (Date: 02 Aug 2017) CW announced that the first night of this season's WBTV/DC superhero crossover will be Monday, Nov. 27 when Supergirl will be paired with Arrow. That day reps a one time move to Monday for the special occasion. The crossover concludes Nov. 28 with The Flash in DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Commenting on the crossovers going from four nights last season to two this fall, CW president Mark Pedowitz said, “Last year's (crossover) was the most successful week in CW history in terms of ratings and everything. We felt in this particular case we had Flash on Legends paired, so it was better to make it two two-hour movies – a miniseries – we thought this was the best way to go. We had a lot of conversations with producers and marketing people.” http://deadline.com/2017/08/the-flash-arrow-supergirl-dc-legends-of-tomorrow-dc-superhero-crossovers-1202140712/ GENERAL DC TV NEWS DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: SEASON 3'S SUPERNATURAL VILLAIN RECRUITS GORILLA GRODD (Date: 02 Aug 2017) "At the head of whatever you want to call our evil organization, it's different. Last year it was three characters from the three different shows that form this alliance. This is a non-human entity," executive producer Phil Klemmer told IGN at the 2017 TV Critics' Association summer press tour. "This is a much more supernatural, spooky vibe this season. We're dealing more with magic. It's less real-world bad guys." Klemmer was keen to leave that character a secret, but he did promise you will hear the character's name in the Season 3 premiere. Unlike previous seasons which are more science or time-travel focused, Season 3 of Legends will "be more in the world of the occult and monsters." Following behind this leader as his acolytes are familiar characters like Damien Darhk, who will have been brought back to life after his death on Arrow, as well as Gorilla Grodd. This will be a post-Gorilla City Grodd. Klemmer confirms they're still actively campaigning for Matt Ryan's Constantine to appear on Legends of Tomorrow as well. http://www.ign.com/articles/2017/08/02/dcs-legends-of-tomorrow-season-3s-supernatural-villain-recruits-gorilla-grodd?abthid=598251bfd41dd1f256000030 The Flash Casts Iconic Justice League Member For Season 4 (Date 31 July 2017) The CW has cast Hartley Sawyer in the role of Ralph Dibny, who will play a recurring role in the upcoming, fourth season of The Flash. One of the Flash's most iconic allies, Ralph Dibny -- a.k.a. The Elongated Man — is a fast-talking private investigator with investigative skills that rival those of Batman. Upon discovering he has the power to stretch his body to any shape or form, Dibny uses his new abilities to help Team Flash solve one of Central City's greatest mysteries. http://comicbook.com/dc/2017/07/31/the-flash-casts-iconic-justice-league-member-for-season-4/?utm_source=Comicbook.com&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=170731_171252_Comicbook.com+Daily+Newsletter&utm_content=Link ‘DC's Legends Of Tomorrow': Jes Macallan To Recur In Season 3 (Date 01 Aug 2017) Mistresses alumna Jes Macallan has signed on for a recurring role in the third season of the CW's superhero drama DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Macallan will play Special Agent Ava Sharpe, a hard working agent for a secret branch of the Federal Government (the Time Bureau) dedicated to the regulation of time-travel and the protection of history. http://deadline.com/2017/08/dcs-legends-of-tomorrow-jes-macallan-recur-season-3-the-cw-mistresses-1202140467/ Spoiler Room: Scoop on Game of Thrones, The Flash, Supergirl, and more (Date: 03 Aug 2017) What do you have on Barry's return to The Flash? — Apparently, not everyone will be on board with how to go about getting Barry back. “I wish I could say that the team unanimously agrees that things are not the same when the season starts, but not everybody feels that way,” Carlos Valdes tells me. “Most of the energy on the team is toward getting Barry back, and Cisco may or may not have some things up his sleeve with regards with how to make that happen, but there is a member of the team that's not on board, and that ultimately makes the mission to get Barry back a lot more difficult. But the thing about Cisco is if he wants to get his friends back, he will do whatever it takes the get his friends back — and that's not just Barry.” With Floriana Lima not sticking around as a regular, is there any hope you can give for Sanvers on Supergirl? — Yes, Floriana Lima won't be a series regular next season, but the Supergirl bosses hope to keep her around as much as possible. So in the plus column, it really does sound like her character won't meet a grim fate. “Maggie is welcome to come back any time she's free,” EP Jessica Queller says. “We love Sanvers and we're very sad that Floriana is not available full time this season.” EP Robert Rovner adds: “We love this relationship we've created. With that, we're going to be telling a modern day love story that really honors their relationship that hopefully will resonate and I think will be very satisfying. Hopefully, she will come join us [again]. The door is always open for Floriana Lima.” http://ew.com/tv/2017/08/03/spoiler-room-game-thrones-flash-supergirl/ Legends of Tomorrow Casts Spartacus Actor as Julius Caesar (Date 05 Aug 2017) When the show resumes this fall, the Legends will travel from present day 2017 to Ancient Rome. When in Rome, the Legends will run into none other than the infamous Julius Caesar. CBR has confirmed that Julius Caesar will be played by actor Simon Merrells. Merrells previously starred on The CW's The Tomorrow People with The Flash's Robbie Amell. Marrells is also the sixth Spartacus actor to join the Arrowverse, which includes Manu Bennett, Todd Lasance, Liam McIntyre, Nick Tarabay, and Katrina Law. http://www.cbr.com/legends-of-tomorrow-simon-merrells-julius-caesar/ Supergirl Casts 24 Vet Carlos Bernard as Maggie's [Spoiler] in Season 3 (Date: 04 Aug 2017) 24 alum Carlos Bernard will guest-star during Season 3 of the CW series as Maggie Sawyer's father, TVLine has learned. http://tvline.com/2017/08/04/supergirl-casts-carlos-bernard-season-3-maggie-father-oscar/ NEXT EPISODE Link to Promo: (Date: 15 March 2017) https://www.comicbookmovie.com/tv/dc/legends_of_tomorrow/legends-of-tomorrow-check-out-the-new-extended-promo-for-season-2-episode-15-fellowship-of-the-spear-a149633 Episode: “Fellowship of the Spear” [Season 2 Episode 14] Air Date: Tuesday, March 21, 2017 Summary: The Legends land in France during World War I and enlist the aid of J.R.R.
