Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Karon Joseph Riley.  The co-star of BET+ "The Black Hamptons" will soon be releasing his first book, “Keep Pedaling The Things I Learned on My Bike.” Karon Joseph Riley was born a star; at least, that is what his mother often told him while growing up in Detroit, Michigan. Karon wanted to be an actor as early as the first grade when he played Puss in Boots in a stage play. Soon after his theatre debut, his athletic talents also emerged. Being the crowd pleaser, he entertained everybody with his athletic prowess. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and remains the All-Time Sack leader and All-American football player. His performance on the gridiron stage led him to become a 4th Round Draft pick of the Chicago Bears. He played seven years between the NFL, CFL, and AFL. After his career ran, he set his sights on Hollywood as he always promised. Through sports and lessons from his mother, Karon was taught that hard work is the only way to make the blueprints that God downloaded into his work. Working off of his faith, he took acting classes in his off-seasons in Los Angeles. Once he officially retired, he dropped the football body and replaced it with the body of a leading man. As a testament to his work, ethnic booked his first speaking role in Russ Parr's classic romantic comedy “35 and Ticking,” starring Kevin Hart and Meagan Goode. After that he booked steady roles on multiple networks on shows like “Single Ladies,” and “Necessary Roughness”. Now a solid network talent, Karon set himself up for a huge year run with a role in Will Packer's feature film “Little” starring Issa Ray and Regina Hall. After that box office exposure, Karon booked two series regular roles on two hit shows. One was “Ambitions,” with Brian J. White and Robin Givens, and the other was “Saints and Sinners,” with Clifton Powell and Vanessa Bell Calloway, respectively. He is currently starring in the NAACP-nominated series The Black Hamptons on BET.Support the show: https://www.steveharveyfm.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

December 7 | Episode 4 After the incredible feats we've covered in the first three episodes of Explore, it's time for a bit of a gear change this time as we discover the joy of cycling and the way a journey on two wheels can develop (and sometimes test) a friendship. Lionel's Low Route is the antidote to the Haute Route, which tackles every mountain on the horizon. Carefully plotting a two-and-a-half day ride across some of England's flattest countryside, Lionel set off with television commentator and author Ned Boulting to prove that there can be a luxury end of the bikepacking spectrum. With Ned on his heavy commuting bike with luggage (some of it Lionel's!), and Lionel on his carbon-fibre Look, and joined by Passepartout Simon Gill, they set off for the inaugural Cambridge-Southwold-Cambridge Classic to talk cycling and much more. We also hear from professional riders Conor Dunne and Larry Warbasse, who set off on their own unsupported bike ride – the No Go Tour – when their Aqua Blue Sport team folded on the eve of the Tour of Britain. They talk about the ups and downs of going on a multi-day ride with a friend. And in the final part of a bumper episode, Richard Moore meets the inspirational Ishbel Holmes, who you may know as @WorldBikeGirl on Twitter. She's the author of the book Me, My Bike and A Street Dog Called Lucy. She set off with next to no money, and very little long-distance cycling experience, to ride round the world. The journey started as a trip to recover some money owed to her by the Iranian Cycling Federation, but turned into something quite different. It's a story that has to be heard to be believed. **Explore is supported by Rapha, Science In Sport and The Economist.** **RUNNING ORDER** **Part one:** Lionel's Low Route with Ned Boulting **Part two:** (from 1:01:00) Conor Dunne and Larry Warbasse on the No Go Tour and how to ensure a friendship survives bikepacking **Part three:** (from 1:09:00) Ishbel Holmes on riding round the world **THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS** **Rapha** support The Cycling Podcast all year and that support has enabled us to get the wheels rolling on series one of Explore. Bike Karma EP16: Bicycle Picking- Evan Pack Touring Brazil- Who's More Surly, Me or My Bike?   Interviews and Segments- -Intro (Tarran's idea to ask folks to please give a review in the start of the show to help us rise in the searches.) 1- Bicycle Pickers Don't Always Make the Best Bicycle Flippers. - We look at hunting for bicycles, and talk about how just finding, trading, and buying bikes and parts can be fun. We also talk about how selling the bikes you find is a whole other ballgame. 2- Evan Pack Bicycle Touring Brazil- We talk to Evan from Vulturespace a bicycle recylery in Milwaukee, as he camps out in a construction site after riding his bike through the Amazon. 3- Who's More Surly, Me or My Bike?- Surly marketing is cute, but when you go to finally do an upgrade 6 years after you bought it, things get... well... "Surly."   If you like any segment or episode PLEASE follow, like, share, or even better give a positive review on iTunes, Podbean, Instagram, Tumblr, etc... and share with any bicycle loving friends or people who don't like bicycles but who need to understand why you do.   To see what is mentioned in the podcast check out my...     Bike Karma Instagram Page www.instagram.com/bike_karma/   and/or    Bike Karma Facebook Page www.facebook.com/BikeKarma/   I'll put links and additional materials there..   The Mission of the Bike Karma Podcast is just to be a friendly point on the map for anyone who loves any type of bicycle to make connections with other bicycle enthusiasts from inside and outside of their own camps. "My Bike" y Frente a frente"
