The Muppets have their own wing here at Single Season Record they are so good at getting canceled. We're starting with their most recent failure, the awkwardly and maybe misleadingly titled The Muppets Mayhem from 2023. It's on Disney+!
Good news! We've got a brand new episode of The Electric Mayhem's official unofficial podcast The Muppets Mayhem: Backstage Pass ready for your earbuds! Bad news, we're already halfway through the series. But you'll forget all about that once you hear our riveting conversation about Track 5: "Break On Through." Joining us for this trip is our very special guest: Peter Linz! Peter's the Muppet performer who brings new life and new vocabulary to The Electric Mayhem's resident trumpet player, Lips! And as always, we've got color commentary from The Muppets Mayhem's Co-Creators and Executive Producers Jeff Yorkes and Bill Barretta. Plus! How a new Lips is born! Improving on drug humor! The majesty of Weird Al!
David Wright and Mark Radulich present their The Muppets ABC 2015 TV Review! The Muppets (stylized as the muppets.) is an American sitcom that originally aired on ABC from September 22, 2015, to March 1, 2016. Co-created by Bill Prady and Bob Kushell, the series was produced by ABC Studios and The Muppets Studio, with Randall Einhorn and Muppet performer Bill Barretta serving as executive producers alongside Prady and Kushell. On May 12, 2016, ABC cancelled the series after one season. The series is set in Los Angeles and depicts the everyday personal and professional lives of The Muppets during production of Up Late with Miss Piggy, a fictional late-night talk show starring Miss Piggy. The Muppets serves as a parody of other mockumentary-style series, such as The Office, Modern Family, and Parks and Recreation by employing the same single-camera setup filming style with the implication of a documentary crew filming everyone. The series stars Muppet performers Steve Whitmire, Eric Jacobson, Dave Goelz, Bill Barretta, David Rudman, Matt Vogel, and Peter Linz in multiple roles.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsosnapchat: markkind76FB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulich

It was a dark time for moviegoers. After Muppets from Space failed to meet expectations, the Muppets took an extended break from the big screen. But following Disney's acquisition of the characters in 2004, they finally made their long-awaited return to cinemas with 2011's The Muppets. And judging by the box office receipts, the world welcomed them back with open arms. Film critic Dede Crimmins joins the show to talk about the Disney-produced legacy sequel that (temporarily) restored Kermit and friends to their former glory. We'll talk about how Walter (performed by Peter Linz) brings a fresh perspective to the franchise in The Muppets, the film's balance of human and Muppet characters, and Kermit and Miss Piggy's relationship status. Here are five more fascinating interviews recorded by Jonah Triebwasser at the 2014 Rotary International Convention. Dr. Peter Linz, Chief International Medical Officer at Mercy Ships, tells about how their large hospital ship—6 operating rooms, 25 beds—travels from country to country in West Africa, bringing modern surgery of all kinds to people who would have no other access. Rotary International now partners with Mercy Ships and Rotary Foundation vocational training teams are among the volunteers who bring medical and dental assistance to the region. Teresa Mitchell Patterson, nutritional advisor, discusses Bowel Cancer Australia, discusses a diet that will help prevent bowel cancers (also known as colorectal cancers). Sharon Turner, from Scholastic, describes how Rotarians at the Convention are building a Wall of Books, donating books that will be given to poor and indigenous children in Australia. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/radiorotary/support
