Helmut Marko release a statement about his recent disrespectful racial and or cultural tones towards Sergio Perez. For some reason he chose to list his doctorate title while doing so. By the way, Helmut's doctorate is in law. Not  psychology or any other study that would qualify him to make such judgements he made in regards to Perez. And, if Helmut held a doctorate in one of those studies. Surely Helmut would have known his thought process was incorrect before launching the words into the world. But, Helmut Marko's supposed apology statement revealed no accountability for what he had said about Checo and our a cultural group of people. Even worse, Helmut said Sergio could focus because he was South American. What! Sergio Perez is Mexican! It seems to be this coddling for Red Bull Racing in this situation by Sky Sports and Formula 1 talking heads. I didn't hear or see anyone of the main characters we know to be in front of the camera for weekend warm ups, FP sessions and other episodes as the race week builds. A few journalist from other outlets posed some questions. But, they directed those questions to whom.... I'll let you guess who! Seems like an on going problem.

Since the coronavirus global pandemic began there have been countless news stories that range anywhere from “It’s just the flu” to “They’re creating mass grave burial sites.” As we sit quarantined inside our homes watching the world unravel from our screens… What the hell are we supposed to believe? What can we do to feel in control in a world spinning so rapidly out of control? In this interview I have a very candid and honest conversation about what the coronavirus pandemic looks like on the frontlines from the perspective of one physician – Dr. Edison de Mello, the founder of the Akasha Center for Integrative Medicine (and yes, he is a “REAL Doctor”). One of the things that gets under my skin more than anything is hearing politicians & media personalities talking about what is wrong with healthcare when they clearly have no idea what the hell they are talking about. They come up with solutions that are either too simplistic or radical with neither having any clue of working let alone getting passed. The problem that creates this issue is that too many clinicians or people who work in healthcare are too afraid to lose their job or lose clients if they come out and start speaking out publically about healthcare. In that vacuum the only voices we hear are people who don’t have a clue and/or are biased because they are getting paid by lobbyist to keep the system in chaos which ensures that things stay the same.The only way any of this changes is if people who actually work in healthcare actually start speaking up and that is exactly what we are doing here at Gray Matters. In Part 2 of our 3 part series on healthcare we attempt to have a hard conversation about how hard it is to discuss having healt insurance but feeling like crap saying how bad yours sucks when so many people don’t have it at all. No, we didn’t have Tom Cruise on the show..(although that may have been pretty cool..) But we did complete our first dozen shows – and we are excited. On this week’s show, we had a REAL Doctor in. Dr. Tim Levert joined us (with a fancy backdrop and all) and shared his insights on having a ministry with a purpose. The biggest discussion revolved around this: Attraction vs. Missional. Do you do both, one or the other… how does that look. I can’t give you the answer here (you’ll have to watch the show..) .. but needless to say, there is some good tidbits in this show that you won’t want to miss. And yes, that’s right in a mere matter of weeks the OSMcast_!_ shall be taking our annual sojourn to greatest anime con of the southeast, Anime Weekend Atlanta. There will be thrills, chills, excitement, PODCASTING. Worlds will be rocked. Minds, BLOWN. Also, we have panels. Basil will be teaming up with Drew from Akihabara Renditions for two action-packed riveting panels of amazement. Now, if you listened to the podcast, and why wouldn’t you, you already know what’s going down. But for those of you that for some reason are reading this instead of immediately clicking on that arrow for audio epiphany, he’s some spoilers. Okay I'll admit it. I just wanted an excuse to post this amazing poster. For one, we’ll be hosting an Engrish Jamboree. Yeah, a whole panel of Japanese people trying to speaking English and failing spectacularly. It’s incredibly politically correct! And THEN, or perhaps before (I have no clue which panel comes first), we’ll he hosting AWA’s Wide World of Sports (Anime). In case you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s a panel on sports anime, and why it’s awesome. And if you disagree, why you’re WRONG. And speaking of being wrong, the Expendables was awesome and you like stuff being blown up, shot at, or stabbed and hearing wonderfully horrendous dialog you should have already seen it. Oh wait, I guess everyone already did. So uh, go see Scott Pilgrim! Apparently no one has gotten around to doing that yet.
