As parents, educators, and advocates for neurodivergent kids, it's crucial to recognize that traditional tests and assessments don't always paint the full picture of a child's abilities. In the newest episode of the podcast, we dive into why performance anxiety can create barriers—and how we can scaffold authentic, strengths-based ways for children to show what they truly know. Key Takeaways: Performance Anxiety ≠ Knowledge Gap If a child can demonstrate understanding in low-pressure settings but "freezes" or melts down when assessed, it's not a lack of knowledge—it's the context and perceived safety that need adjusting. Accommodations Are Powerful, Not Coddling Thoughtful adaptations—like adjusting the environment, pacing, or method of response—help reveal rather than hide skills. These accommodations build confidence and resilience for future challenges. Celebrate Wins & Prioritize Safety Progress isn't always linear. Celebrate small victories and focus more on helping children feel safe and seen. Creating a foundation of trust leads to more voluntary engagement and authentic learning. If you're educating or supporting a neurodivergent or twice-exceptional child, remember: The goal isn't to recreate school, but to foster an environment where kids can thrive in ways that make sense for them. Whether you're homeschooling a differently wired kiddo or navigating daily learning resistance, this episode is packed with actionable tips, real-life examples, and mindset shifts to help your child build skills in a low-pressure way. Key Takeaways: Lowering the Demand Doesn't Mean Lowering Expectations: There are ways to keep skill-building alive by focusing on autonomy, shared activities, and embedding learning into interest-driven projects—think Minecraft math or Pokemon writing prompts! Frameworks That Work: Use the ABC method—Autonomy, Boundaries, and Co-regulation—along with the REI model (Reduce, Invite, Embed) to create a safer, more engaging learning environment for your demand-avoidant child. Small Wins & Language Swaps: Celebrate tiny, finishable tasks and swap "You need to…" for invitations or curiosity-based questions, making participation more appealing and less threatening to your child's autonomy. Better Business Better Life! Helping you live your Ideal Entrepreneurial Life through EOS & Experts
In this episode of Better Business, Better Life, Debra Chantry-Taylor unpacks why January so often feels harder than it should for entrepreneurs and leadership teams, and why losing momentum early in the year is far more common than most people admit. Debra challenges the idea that momentum is about speed, explaining instead that it is built through direction and consistency. She explores the five key reasons January momentum collapses, including unrealistic expectations, goals built on optimism rather than truth, avoiding last year's unresolved issues, mismatched team energy, and the habit of trying to do everything yourself. Drawing on real client stories and lived experience, Debra reframes January as a warm up month rather than a sprint. She encourages leaders to start with honest conversations, prioritise fewer meaningful actions, reset team rhythms, and address family business tensions that often surface over the holidays. This episode is a grounded reminder that momentum is not created through hype or hustle. It comes from clarity, honesty, and giving yourself permission to rebuild at a sustainable pace. If January has already felt heavy or disappointing, this conversation will help you reset without guilt and move forward with confidence. Hot flashes, brain fog, anxious nights, and a doctor telling you it's “just stress” can make you feel powerless. We start the year by taking that power back. I sit down with Dr. Sarah Doyle—doctor of physical therapy and functional medicine practitioner—to map the real mechanics of midlife: how estrogen fuels brain energy and vessel health, why progesterone calms the nervous system, and how chronic stress diverts raw materials away from the hormones that stabilize mood, sleep, libido, and cognition. We dig into the surprising overlap between postpartum and perimenopause—both are hormone crashes that scramble serotonin, GABA, and dopamine. You'll hear why ignoring “small” clues like night sweats, frozen shoulder, recurrent UTIs, or new-onset anxiety can snowball into bigger issues if you don't address root causes. Dr. Doyle breaks down adrenals and cortisol in plain language, showing how fight-or-flight can stall sex hormone production, raise cardiovascular risk, and accelerate musculoskeletal pain. We also talk candidly about racial disparities in symptom duration, the genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and the life-changing role of local estrogen for tissue health and comfort.BioDr. Sarah Doyle is a former ICU physical therapist turned Functional Medicine clinician and Diplomate of the American Clinical Board of Nutrition who specializes in hormone optimization and disease prevention through evidence-based nutrition. After years of publishing research, writing bestselling books (The THIN Formula and 7X Method), co-founding HealWell Regenerative Institute at the prestigious Carillon Wellness Resort, and working as a performance physiotherapist for artists like Shakira and The Weeknd, Dr. Doyle identified a major gap in women's hormone care—especially during perimenopause and menopause. She created her new menopause supplement to be as strong as HRT under the Vita-Fem brand: a potent, all-natural, research-backed daily stick pack designed to reduce brain fog, balance hormones, and improve compliance by dissolving easily in water. Proven through before-and-after testing and published case studies, this innovative formula reflects Dr. Doyle's mission to help millions of women thrive through their “second puberty” and beyond—without reliance on pharmaceuticals. 15 min. If mealtimes sometimes feel more like hostage negotiations than family gatherings – you're not alone! In our latest episode of the podcast, we explore the sensory reasons behind picky eating, especially for neurodivergent kids, and share practical strategies to make the table a calmer, more positive space. Highlights from this episode: Understanding the Why: Picky eating isn't just stubbornness. It often stems from sensory sensitivities, past negative experiences, or a need for predictability. Kids aren't being difficult—their bodies are protecting them. Red Flags to Watch For: If your child shows signs of weight loss, growth issues, drops food categories, or frequently gags or chokes, it's time to seek professional help. Remember: asking for support is a win, not a failure! No Pressure Plate System: You choose what, when, and where food is served; your child chooses if and how much to eat. Offer two to three safe foods and one or two "learning foods" for gentle exposure, plus a "no thank you bowl" for stress-free refusals. Calm Bodies First: Try a 2–3 minute pre-meal routine—wall push-ups, sipping water through a straw, sitting with good posture—to help kids feel regulated and ready to eat. Food Chaining & Texture Ladders: Move from safe favorites to new foods in baby steps, adjusting one property (size, shape, temperature) at a time. Celebrate curiosity and every little try! Making Meals Manageable: Deconstruct dishes, keep sensory overload low (dim lights, reduce kitchen noise), and offer dips or fun utensils to encourage engagement. Handling Family Gatherings: Stand your ground! Share your approach if you're questioned, and remember—you know your child best. You're doing great—trust yourself, take baby steps, and remember our podcast is here to support you every week. In this powerful episode of The P.A.S. Report, Professor Nick Giordano unveils a New Contract with America that delivers real, practical, conservative solutions to the problems facing the country. Professor Giordano cuts through the political noise and presents a clear blueprint to end government weaponization, eliminate waste and fraud, restore federalism, reduce dependency, lower healthcare costs, and fix the failing education system. These are not gimmicks or recycled talking points. They are common-sense reforms rooted in the Founders' vision of limited government and personal responsibility. The best part is that these solutions don't cost taxpayers a thing, and actually saves tax dollars. This episode challenges the status quo, exposes how big government fuels national decline, and shows how quickly America can be strengthened when power is restored to the people. Episode Highlights A government that works for the people by dismantling political weaponization, restoring accountability, and reasserting constitutional oversight. A bold plan to rebuild American competence through civics, real-life skills, merit-based advancement, and financial literacy that prepares students for adulthood.

Points of Interest00:00 – 01:30 – Introduction: Marcel welcomes Parakeeto's Kristen Kelly back to discuss a recurring misconception in agency operations—the belief that a better project management or PSA tool can solve profit management challenges.01:30 – 03:25 – The PM Tool “Silver Bullet” Myth: Kristen explains how leaders and PMs often adopt new tools to tame chaos, believing marketing promises that they'll also solve utilization, capacity, and profitability issues.03:25 – 06:00 – Why Agencies Fall for It: Marcel and Kristen note that while PM tools are valuable, they're often oversold as full profit-management systems. Agencies end up frustrated by missing fields, tool quirks, and data limitations.06:00 – 08:45 – Hitting the Wall: Many teams find themselves with tools that improve delivery workflows but still leave them unable to make key financial or operational decisions because the data remains fragmented across systems.08:45 – 11:43 – Introducing the Framework → Data → Process Model: Marcel outlines Parakeeto's three-part sequence for solving profit management: define the framework (metrics and formulas), structure the data, and establish ongoing processes for hygiene and cadence.11:43 – 12:46 – Why Sequencing Matters: Without first defining what needs to be measured, agencies make poor configuration choices in PM tools—creating rework, confusion, and endless tool migrations.12:46 – 15:19 – Defining the Framework: Agencies must precisely define how metrics like utilization, delivery margin, and project profitability are calculated, and understand the relationships between those measures before configuring tools.15:19 – 19:54 – The Role of Process and Data Hygiene: Marcel explains that real-time reporting fails if data quality is poor. Clean, reliable reporting requires an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process, not direct reporting from source data.19:54 – 22:55 – The Precision Trap: Kristen and Marcel explore the conflict between PMs needing granular precision and executives needing simple, high-level rollups. Forcing perfect data consistency across teams destroys usability and compliance.22:55 – 26:28 – Practical Limits of In-Tool Reporting: Marcel describes how building detailed profitability reporting directly in PM tools creates unsustainable complexity, unrealistic data maintenance, and unreliable results.26:28 – 34:38 – Building a Sustainable Data Architecture: They outline how Parakeeto's ETL pipeline works—extracting time data (person, project, hours), joining it with payroll and project grids, normalizing fields, and applying ongoing QA to ensure accuracy.34:38 – 42:37 – The Big Takeaway: Kristen and Marcel conclude that PM tools are essential for delivery but not the whole profit solution. Agencies should use them for managing work while relying on a clear framework and data pipeline for accurate reporting.Show NotesConnect with Kristen via LinkedInFree Agency ToolkitParakeeto Foundations CourseFree access to our Model PlatformLove this Episode?Leave us a review here. It's Monday, September 22nd, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus South Korean pastor has disappeared A week after Pastor Son Hyun-bo from Busan Segyeoro Church in South Korea was arrested for violating public election laws, little information has been made public about his well-being or whereabouts, reports International Christian Concern. Pastor Son, who was arrested on September 8th, is facing the charges in part for allegedly interviewing an election candidate, Jeong Seung-yoon, during a church service and uploading a video of the conversation to social media. He also faces allegations of holding a “prayer service for victory” at Jeong's campaign office and stating, “We must vote for the right-wing candidate and truly establish God's kingdom.” Pastor Son has been active in contending against government overreach, including serving as a leader of the “Save Korea” group, which campaigns against the current left-leaning South Korean President Lee Myung, prime minister, and Democratic Party, who are in power. The outcry against Pastor Son's arrest has been strong. One representative stated openly that, “Pastor Son's arrest is not about an individual but a suppression of all religious figures.” Charlie Kirk's memorial pointed the world to Christ I felt compelled to attend Charlie Kirk's memorial at State Farm Arena in Phoenix, Arizona yesterday. (You can watch it here) So, on Friday and Saturday, my bride, Amy, and I drove 15 hours over two days from San Antonio, Texas with our three children – Honor, age 15, Mercy, age 13, and Valor, age 10 – to celebrate his life and grieve his death at the hands of an assassin's bullet on September 10th at Utah Valley University. Reportedly, 300,000 people from across America came by car and plane. Our family sat in the State Farm Arena which held 63,400 people. Next door, the Desert Diamond Arena held an additional 20,000 people who watched big video screens. Beginning with Christian worship led by Brandon Lake, Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, as well as Cody and Kari Carnes, it was a deeply moving experience as speaker after speaker echoed Charlie Kirk's call to come to Christ. Benny Johnson came to faith in Christ through Charlie Kirk Benny Johnson, a conservative influencer, was quite candid. JOHNSON: “When Charlie first met me, I was a degenerate loser. I was addicted to alcohol. I had no wife, I had no kids. I had nothing going for me. After 10 years of work with Charlie Kirk, after his witnessing to my life, I have become a Christ-centered man. I am happily married to the woman of my dreams, sitting right there with our youngest son, who just turned eight months.” He framed the assassination of Charlie Kirk in light of the truth of Genesis 50:20. JOHNSON: “What man intends for evil. God intends for good. Evil thought that there would be a funeral today. God has created a revival right here in this house right now.” (applause) Indeed, through the 3,200 chapters of Turning Point USA not only are more college students equipped with the truth, but many are coming to Christ. Frank Turek: Why Charlie Kirk is in Heaven Frank Turek is a Christian apologist who mentored Charlie with the best answers to tough questions about Christianity. TUREK: “I want you to know that Charlie right now is in Heaven, not because he was a great husband and father. Not because he saved millions of kids out of darkness on college campuses. Not because he changed minds and chased votes to save the country. Not because he sacrificed himself for his savior. Charlie Kirk is in Heaven because his Savior sacrificed himself for Charlie Kirk.” Tucker Carlson: “The only real solution is Jesus.” Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson explained what made Charlie Kirk unique. CARLSON: “The main thing about Charlie and his message, he was bringing the Gospel to the country. He was doing the thing that the people in charge hate most, which is calling for them to repent. “So how is Charlie's message different? Charlie was a political person who was deeply interested in coalition building and in getting the right people in office because he knew that vast improvements are possible politically. But he also knew that politics is not the final answer. It can't answer the deepest questions, actually. The only real solution is Jesus.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighted Charlie's boldness and affirmation of marriage Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighted Charlie Kirk's boldness. RUBIO: “Charlie Kirk was bold. He actively sought out to engage --peacefully, respectfully -- those who he disagreed with. As recently as two days ago, we learned of one of the hosts on CNN, who said that one of the messages he had gotten just a few days before Charlie's passing, was from him, inviting him to dialogue. “And he did this on campuses. He did this on podcasts. He did this on radio shows. He did this on television shows. Time and again, he sought to engage those he disagreed with because he understood that we were not created to isolate ourselves from one another, but to engage. “The irony in all this is that what our nation needs is the ability to discuss our differences openly, honestly, peacefully, respectfully. And Charlie Kirk did that more than anyone alive in America today is doing. This was the mission and work of Charlie Kirk.” And Secretary of State Rubio appreciated Charlie's affirmation of marriage and family to young people. RUBIO: “Understand where we are still today. In many places where young Americans are actively told that everything that they were taught, that all the foundations that made our society and our civilization so grand, they were all wrong. They were all evil, that marriage is oppressive, that children are a burden, that America is a source of evil, not of good, in the world. “And here was this voice that inspired a movement in which young Americans were told that is not true, the highest calling we are called to is to be in a successful marriage and to raise productive children.” War Secretary Hegseth: “Live worthy of Charlie Kirk's sacrifice and put Christ at the center” War Secretary Pete Hegseth explained that Charlie Kirk used the gift of persuasion on college campuses. HEGSETH: “Charlie waged war, not with a weapon, but with a tent, a microphone, his mind, and the truth. And the gates of hell could not prevail against him.” (Matthew 16:17-19) Secretary Hegseth spoke of Christian revival. HEGSETH: “Charlie started a political movement, but unleashed a spiritual revival. My pastor texted me the day after that horrific event and said, ‘Pete, the devil overplayed his hand.' Charlie started with liberty, but ended up lighting our country on fire for Christ. He started Turning Point USA, but this moment is the turning point for the USA.” And Secretary Hegseth gave America a charge in light of Charlie Kirk's Christian legacy. HEGSETH: “Charlie Kirk was a citizen who had the biblical heart of a soldier of the faith, who put on every single day the full armor of God (Ephesians 6) with a smile as the Scriptures tell all Christ followers to do. Charlie Kirk: a warrior for country, a warrior for Christ. He ran the race. He finished the fight. Now, it's our turn. My charge to all of you: Live worthy of Charlie Kirk's sacrifice and put Christ at the center of your life as he advocated for giving his.” Colossians 1:10 says, “Live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.” Donald Trump, Jr. compared Charlie Kirk's martyrdom with Stephen Donald Trump, Jr. compared the martyrdom of Stephen with the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk. TRUMP JR: “Last week, Charlie joined a long line of courageous men and women who were martyred for what they believe. According to the book of Acts, the first martyr in the early Christian church was Stephen who was stoned to death. And as Stephen was being killed, he said, ‘Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing, standing, at the right hand of God.' “There are many times in the Bible where Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, but this is the only time he's seen standing. And while the Bible isn't explicit about this, I like to think Jesus was standing to welcome Stephen, the courageous martyr into Heaven. Today. that gives me great comfort because 11 days ago, as a cowardly assassin crawled on his stomach to end Charlie's life on Earth, I'm betting Charlie saw the son of God standing tall to welcome him home.” Vice President J.D. Vance admired Charlie Kirk's courage Vice President J.D. Vance shared that he's been personally emboldened to share his faith more since Kirk's assassination. VANCE: “You know, I was telling somebody backstage that I always felt a little uncomfortable talking about my faith in public as much as I loved the Lord and as much it was an important part of my life. I have talked more about Jesus Christ in the past two weeks than I have my entire time in public life.” (cheers) Vice President Vance is upset that some on the Left actually cheered Charlie Kirk's death. VANCE: “He was taken from us by those who despise the virtues that actually made our civilization great to begin with: dialogue, truth, seeking family and faith. In the wake of his death, we have seen some of the very worst parts of humanity. We have watched people slander him. We have watched people justify his murder and celebrate his death.” And Vice President Vance admired Charlie Kirk's courage. VANCE: “It is better to face a gunman than to live your life afraid to speak the truth. It is better to be persecuted for your faith than to deny the kingship of Christ. It is better to die a young man in this world than to sell your soul for an easy life with no purpose, no risk, no love, and no truth.” Joshua 1:9 says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Erika Kirk forgave her husband's killer And finally, Erika Kirk, Charlie's widow, who will now serve as the CEO of Turning Point USA, said something remarkable that brought all of us to our feet. ERIKA KIRK: “On the cross, our Savior said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.' (Luke 23:34) “That man, [Tyler Robinson], I forgive him. (applause as she wept) I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it's what Charlie would do. The answer to hate is not hate. The answer, we know from the Gospel, is love, always love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.” Ephesians 4:32 commands, “Forgive one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, September 22nd, in the year of our Lord 2025. Julian H found his "solution" in sex and porn as a youth. Living in years of shame and secrets, he kept his life as a double life - portraying himself as a good man around others, but living in fear and darkness alone. In September of 2019, his way of secret living was abolished when he was introduced to the 12 Steps by his loving Higher Power. Now, his life is forever changed as he has found a Real Solution and is committed to share this new way of life with others. He speaks to us today on the phrase from the Big Book, "We Let God Discipline Us".Reco12 is an open-to-all addictions and afflictions organization, dedicated to exploring the common threads of the differing manifestations of alcoholism; sharing tools, and offering hope from those walking a similar path. About the Show:“Why did nobody tell me about this?”– Dr. Kristin MarkellIn this episode of I Am Northwest Arkansas®, host Randy Wilburn sits down with Dr. Kristin Markell, an integrative medicine specialist helping women navigate the often-overlooked journey of perimenopause and menopause. Dr. Markell combines her experience as a traditional OB/GYN with holistic, whole-person strategies to provide personalized care for women in Northwest Arkansas and beyond.Together, Randy and Dr. Markell break down the basics of perimenopause and menopause—including what these terms really mean, when symptoms can start, and why every woman's experience is unique. Dr. Markell shares her personal and professional journey, the frustration women feel about the lack of education on these topics, and how integrative medicine can help women feel their best through this stage of life. The episode also explores how families, employers, and the wider community can better support women during this transition, as well as the emerging innovations and digital tools empowering women to take charge of their health. If you're a woman, love a woman, work with women, or are simply curious, this is an important conversation for you.Key Takeaways:Menopause is natural but often misunderstood: Most women aren't taught about perimenopause and menopause early enough. Symptoms can start as early as a woman's 30s—not just in the 50s or 60s—and everyone's experience is different.Definitions matter: Menopause is officially when a woman hasn't had a period for one year; perimenopause is the 7-10 years leading up to that.Symptoms are more than hot flashes: Every area of the body can be affected, from brain fog and anxiety to fatigue, aches, and sexual health changes. You don't have to “just deal with it”: Dr. Markell urges women not to “white knuckle” through symptoms—there are treatments and support, including both hormonal and non-hormonal options.Integrative medicine offers personalized care: Dr. Markell's approach looks at the whole person, from nutrition to stress to long-term wellness, not just the symptoms.Support is a team effort: Family, partners, co-workers, and employers all play a role in helping women thrive during this time.Resources are growing: New digital tools, wearables, and dedicated clinics (including right here in NWA!) are giving women greater access to care and information. All this and more on this episode of the I Am Northwest Arkansas® podcast.Important Links and Mentions on the Show* Dr. Kristin Markell's Website: https://kristinmarkellmd.comThe Menopause Society: https://www.menopause.orgDr. Markell on Instagram: @kristenmarkellmdDr. Markell on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kristinmarkellmd/Contact Dr. Markell's Office: 479-222-0966You can listen to the I Am Northwest Arkansas® podcast weekly on KUAF 91.3 FM's Ozarks at Large(Other resources and episodes mentioned: Mel Robbins, “The Diary of a CEO” with Steven Bartlett, Dr. Peter Attia & Dr. Rachel Rubin Podcast, Midi Health, Electra Health)FindItNWA.com NWA's Hyperlocal Business DirectoryThis episode is sponsored by*Signature Bank of Arkansas "Community Banking at its Best!"
This is Part 1 of my live Q&A session where I tackled the real food struggles women physicians face every day. No BS, just honest answers to honest questions. In this episode, I answer: How to manage emotional eating when you're dealing with ongoing chronic stress (like caring for a teen with chronic health issues while working as a physician) What to do about those 2 AM call room binges when you're exhausted and surrounded by treats Why starting feels so hard even when you "know what to do" and want to lose weight so badly This isn't generic diet advice. This is physician-specific support for the unique crap we deal with - from anticipatory stress before call shifts to feeling like you need to give up everything you love just to lose weight. Perfect for any woman physician who's tired of the cycle: knowing what's healthy but struggling to actually do it in the chaos of medical practice. Make sure to listen to Part 2 next week where we dive into food addiction vs emotional eating, sweet cravings on low carb, and identity shifts when your health finally improves.
Truth Be Told with Booker Scott – Senator Alex Padilla's stunt at a DHS briefing urgently underscores Democrats' retreat into protest without policy prescriptions. After the underwhelming ‘No Kings' demonstrations, resistance rhetoric eclipses actionable solutions on immigration and public safety. As Padilla champions accused criminals and crowds dwindle, the party's fixation on dissent presages electoral setbacks amid shifting...

The debate over whether cities and states have the right to criminally punish people experiencing homelessness for sleeping in public. With a decision from the Supreme Court looming on whether cities and states will have the right to criminally punish people experiencing homelessness for sleeping in public, many are divided on what that decision should be. Tonight, Dr. Phil will hear from people experiencing homelessness themselves, and learn why they are strongly against being criminalized. Plus, the debate continues as Donald Whitehead (Executive Director of the National Coalition for the Homeless), Matt Mackowiak (Co-founder of Save Austin Now), Michele Steeb (Senior Fellow with the Texas Public Policy) and residents of Grants Pass, (a town that has gained national attention because of a court case between local homeless individuals and the city), debate the solutions to the homelessness epidemic.
