En een pittige challenge in Tsjechië (00:41) Soedan valt in handen van de RSF Al ruim acht maanden woedt in Soedan een hevige machtsstrijd tussen het regeringsleger en de paramilitaire Rapid Support Forces, de RSF. Terwijl in de hoofdstad heftig gevochten werd vluchtten veel Soedanezen naar het nabijgelegen Madani. Maar na een korte aanval wappert ook hier de vlag van de RSF. Is dit een kantelpunt in de oorlog? We praten erover met Joost Bastmeijer.  (07:59) Het Venezolaanse hotel dat rijkdom uitstraalt in tijden van economische crisis In Venezuela is er een diepe economische crisis gaande, maar daar merk je niets van als je je in het extravagante Hotel Humboldt begeeft. De laatste dictator van het land bouwde het hotel in de jaren 50, en huidige president Nicolás Maduro herstelde het in ere. Waar staat dit hotel voor? Verder antwoorden op deze vragen:Hoe denkt Giel 'Generatie Z' te bereiken met 'lineair verticaal geprogrammeerde verrassingen'? Kan hij niet beter gewoon een podcast-netwerk beginnen? En onder welke type makers werft Giel radiotalent?Hoe ziet de nieuwe studio in Amsterdam er straks uit. Met een green screen voor de inzet van beeld?Hoe gaat die zender nou heten straks? (Radio4all is tijdelijk) We krijgen overduidelijke aanwijzingen!Hoe werkt het verdienmodel? 50% van de inkomsten voor makers en 50% voor de zender? Giel legt uit.Giel vindt dat de NPO dit Radio4all-format al veel eerder op 3FM had moeten loslaten. Bijvoorbeeld in de avonduren op 3FM.Wat vindt de concurrentie van Radio4all? Nou: volgens Giel willen sommige zenders Radio4all aanklagen voor een verkeerd gelopen frequentietoewijzing! Nu zitten de gokhuizen weer bomvol - maar dit keer met de vrienden van het bewind. De olieproductie in Venezuela is nagenoeg nul, de staatskas is leeg en de inflatie giert de pan uit. De bevolking verkeert al jaren in de diepste economische ellende. Toch worden er ook luxe hotels gebouwd, dure auto's gekocht, en is de positie van de regering onbetwist. Hoe kan dat? Met die vraag reisde Eva van Roekel, antropoloog aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, naar de Venezolaanse hoofdstad Caracas. En vanavond is zij bij ons te gast.

Circa 25.000 Nederlandse mannen meldden zich tijdens de bezetting aan bij de Waffen-SS. Ze gingen veelal naar het Oostfront om te vechten tegen het communistische spook. Geen ander Europees land leverde zoveel vrijwilligers voor Hitlers keurtroepen als Nederland. Wat bezielde de mannen, uit welke kringen kwamen zij, en hoe verging het deze als landverraders gebrandmerkte mannen na de oorlog? Evertjan van Roekel onderzocht persoonlijke dossiers van ex-SS’ers en schreef ‘Veldgrauw. Nederlanders in de Waffen-SS.’ De historicus is te gast.
