Tonight, we will talk about it.Thanksgiving.The time of year where family and friends come together to enjoy each other's company, eat a bit of turkey, and maybe catch a football game or two.Or, maybe it's the time of year where you end up at your ex's mother's house under false pretenses and have to sit through dinner with his family, his new girlfriend, and his fine ass cousin with the gold grill that may or may not have just given you an orgasm that your body could barely handle.Shoot...at least you know the sweet potato pie is good, right?Read Sinnamon and Golds: https://www.amazon.com/Sinnamon-Golds-Lady-Marie-ebook/dp/B0CNVTPWMSConnect with Author Lady Marie: https://www.instagram.com/ladymariewrites/Your Book Bae Awaits at https://theblackgirlbookclubpodcast.com/Join the Black Girl Book Club Podcast Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/693214741595152Join the Black Girl Book Club Podcast Email list: https://www.theblackgirlbookclubpodcast.com/theblkgrlbcpodcast-6136Listen on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-black-girl-book-club-podcast/id1627300394Listen on Spotify: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/dashboard/homeWatch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr4fs600LEYfN3pgKVHe1yw This episode is brought to you by Just Write Sis, the Authors Marketing Assistant. Join me, your host Tiffany D. Cross, for one of the most interesting conversations of my career. Sinnamon Love and Brittany (Miss. B Nasty) take me on an eye-opening journey through the complexities and nuances of sex work. This week on Across Generations, we navigate the historical challenges and societal perceptions of this multifaceted industry, paying special attention to the experiences of Black women who have long faced discrimination even in this genre. We consider the impact of not only decriminalization but destigmatizing sex work as well – not only for the individuals within the sex work community but also for public health and safety at large. Listen in as Sinnamon, with her extensive background in adult entertainment, shares her experiences from the 90s and reflects on the industry's transformative journey to the digital age. We cover the shift from traditional pornography to user-driven platforms like OnlyFans, dissecting the economics of content creation and the importance of equitable treatment across racial lines. Our conversation also shines a light on the personal challenges and emotional aspects that come with transitioning from various careers, including the military, into adult entertainment. Our discussions take a deep and personal turn as we address the intersections of sex work with trauma, safety, family dynamics, and even the incorporation of celebrities into platforms like OnlyFans. We highlight the critical need for comprehensive sex education and porn literacy among young adults, as well as the importance of advocating for a safer and more ethical industry. From personal empowerment to the changing tides of content consumption and creation, this week's episode offers a raw and real look at the lives of those within the adult entertainment world. Join us for a candid exploration that challenges the stigmas and celebrates the resilience of sex workers. RATE, REVIEW, AND FOLLOW ON APPLE PODCAST

On this special episode, host and human rights activist Lakeesha Harris gathers a legendary roundtable of leaders in the Black Sex Worker movement: performer/activists Sinnamon Love and Jet Setting Jasmine of the BIPOC Adult Industry Collective, and historian/professor Dr Charlene Fletcher. Together, they discuss the legacy of sex workers in fine art museums, Black women who are silenced in the archives, pleasure influence, mental health care, colorism at the strip club, and more! And Lakeesha gives a raw and righteous farewell to Old Pro News, asserting that no conversation surrounding workers rights and labor organizing is complete without sex workers at the table. Sinnamon Love is a visual artist, published writer, community organizer, and Black Feminist Pornographer. For almost 30 years, Sinnamon has created media that shifts narratives around sex work, BDSM, and motherhood. Love is a fierce advocate for Black Lives Matter, Trans Rights, Sex Workers Rights, & Decriminalization of Sex Work & Cannabis. In 2018 & 2020 she served as a Fellow of the Sex Worker Giving Circle at Third Wave Fund, the first-ever philanthropic organization to put sex workers in a position of grant making. In 2020, Sinnamon founded the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color Collective, a national human rights organization dedicated to bridging the race-based, wage gap in the online sex trades by providing access to mental health resources, financial assistance, and peer-to-peer education. In 2021, she participated in a Delphi Panel at Boston University, creating sex education curriculum for US high school students. At the top of 2022, Sinnamon joined the restructure team at the CAST-LA & The National Survivor Network, the largest network of anti-trafficking organizations, to help them move towards a pro-sex work stance. Hillary and Trent have been dating for almost a year after meeting through friends and while they don't live together, they live 40 minutes from one another so they see each other most of the time. Trent even decided to share his Netflix account with Hillary, but the other day Hillary noticed that her profile was gone. When she asked Trent about it, he claimed he had to update the app and it wiped all the profiles. At the same time, the last time Hillary went over to Trent's place, she noticed that everything she left at his place for her to use was neatly packed away as if he was trying to hide it and her hair brush had long blonde hair in it even though she's a brunette. We call Trent pretending to offer him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask him as to who he wants flowers sent to, Trent asks if we can send them to someone named "Sinnamon" who he claims is his special friend. Find out what‘s really going on in today's all NEW War of the Roses!

How does the future look for stud cattle shows in Australia? While the 2021 Royal Queensland Show has unfortunately been cancelled due to COVID, this week's episode of The Weekly Grill podcast series sees host Kerry Lonergan turn up the heat on RNA councillor and Beef Cattle Committee chairman Gary Noller, and Northern NSW stud cattle breeder and exhibitor Rob Sinnamon. Both have had a life-long connection with stud cattle exhibitions across Queensland and NSW, and suggest that the competitive showing of stud cattle remains as popular as ever, despite rising costs and other challenges. The pair also discuss the growing importance of the RNA's Paddock to Palate Performance Classes, which have risen in prominence over the past ten years - providing a great opportunity for cattlemen to benchmark their herd's performance against some of the best in the land.

Award winning porn performers and content creators Sinnamon Love and Jet Setting Jasmine join Tristan Taormino to discuss the realities and disparities for performers of color in the adult industry. Inequities persist in wages, visibility, power, and opportunities and companies continue to produce content with racial fetishization, stereotypes, and offensive language and marketing. We talk about how to address the inequality and oppression performers of color face, how marginalized folks are creating their own content, and how average consumers can support sex workers of color. We also dive into the history, issues, and debate about the “ethnic” and “interracial” categories in porn. Sinnamon and Jasmine share the goals, services, and demands of BIPOC-AIC (Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color Adult Industry Collective) and their End Racism and Wage Discrimination in Porn Petition.
