Conforme fueron transcurriendo los días, Luis se dio cuenta que lo que le dijeron era cierto, pues comenzó a sentirse observado, además de notar otros fenómenos extraños, como una sombra que se desplazaba de un lugar a otro, o la desaparición de ciertas herramientas. Al realizar una excavación, se encontraron con una cruz de mármol, misma que, seguramente fue utilizada para conmemorar el fallecimiento de alguien... Garantizar bienestar es la base para mejorar condiciones de vida de la población: presidente; informa avances de programas sociales en Colima Las acciones de bienestar son el sustento para mejorar las condiciones de vida en México, afirmó el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador al inaugurar instalaciones de la Guardia Nacional, en Tecomán, Colima. El mandatario sostuvo que “eso es fundamental porque el problema de la inseguridad no solo se resuelve con cárceles, con leyes severas, con amenazas de mano dura; no solo se resuelve con buenas corporaciones como la Guardia Nacional. Se requiere atender las causas, el origen del problema, ya estamos haciendo eso”. “Desde el inicio del gobierno que encabezo se puso en práctica una estrategia que consiste en garantizar mejores condiciones de vida y de trabajo para nuestro pueblo y también en paralelo garantizar la paz y la tranquilidad; enfrentar el flagelo de la violencia, atendiendo las necesidades de nuestro pueblo, procurando que haya empleos, que se tengan buenos salarios, que pueda haber progreso con justicia”, subrayó. Informó que en los 10 municipios de Colima se aplican los Programas Integrales de Bienestar. Como parte de Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro, 198 mujeres y hombres de ese municipio trabajan en talleres, comercios y en el campo; 124 estudiantes del nivel superior acceden a becas de 2 mil 400 pesos mensuales. Los 3 mil 418 alumnos de nivel medio superior también tienen becas, así como 5 mil 344 estudiantes de educación básica. Un total de 16 escuelas primarias reciben recursos del programa La Escuela es Nuestra. Sobre las pensiones, el presidente detalló que son beneficiarios 7 mil 357 adultos mayores de Tecomán y 644 niñas y niños con discapacidad; 266 hijas e hijos de madres trabajadoras acceden a recursos para sus cuidados. En materia de impulso a la actividad pesquera, puntualizó que 278 pescadores recibieron recursos durante 2020. Del programa Sembrando Vida se tiene registro de 519 sembradores participantes. Con motivo de la pandemia de COVID-19, puntualizó el jefe del Ejecutivo, 600 pequeños empresarios fueron acreedores de créditos a la palabra de 25 mil pesos. Agregó que además de la atención a la población, el gobierno federal procura el funcionamiento de una corporación dedicada a garantizar la paz y la tranquilidad en el país, la Guardia Nacional. En Tecomán habrá cinco de las 266 coordinaciones territoriales que se instalarán en todo el país. El presidente reiteró su compromiso de fortalecer la seguridad de los puertos, incluido el de Colima, para impedir el ingreso de sustancias ilegales. Andragogy, or Adult Learning, is the science of how a fully formed brain learns as opposed to how a child's brain learns. Weirdly enough, it's SUPER different. First I explain some of the basics models that make up the field of andragogy, then my guest and I discuss implications for TECOM and the Marine Corps, how to specifically apply them to training at the battalion level or below, and generally muck about making fun of bad learning experiences that we've had or seen.

Today on The Negotiation, Todd speaks with Marian Danko, founder of the tech innovation platform weHustle; and TECOM, a conference for tech entrepreneurs. A native of Ukraine, Marian experienced culture shock upon arriving in China, particularly when it came to the rapid speed that defines the nation's startup ecosystem.Speaking on Shanghai's tech startup landscape, Marian says that “the ceiling is very high and the floor is very low”. That is, while Shanghai can be regarded as “an expensive city”, from an entrepreneur's perspective, it can actually be a wellspring of highly lucrative investment opportunities compared to Silicon Valley, London, Dubai, or Singapore.Secondly, if a business owner wishes to put together an international team, the visa process is easier in China versus in the US. This means fewer costs and hurdles to have an international team based in one location.Asked about the investment landscape in China, Marian notes that a distinction should first be made between local and foreign early-stage startups as each has very different challenges to the other. Foreign companies will not be able to avail of bank loans as easily as local ones, simply because they cannot be trusted to remain in the country after a few years.With this context in mind, Marian says that venture capitalists are beginning to experience a “capital winter” in the country. He attributes this to the market becoming more mature. In the early days of tech startups in China, investors would actually lose money by banking on every trend that came their way. Having learned the hard way, they are now more savvy to the types of startups that are worth investing in. In other words, today's investment landscape is defined not by quantity, but by quality.Next, Marian discusses “mobile-first, mobile-only”. 90% of startups in China create apps and mini-programs. Some startups do not even have websites; instead, their first and primary focus is mobile solutions. He adds that there is also a lot of reliance on WeChat nowadays, adding to this culture of “mobile-first, mobile-only”.China will lead the way when it comes to VR and AR. A lot of startups today are focused purely on VR and AR solutions. More than one startup is incorporating these technologies into marketing and advertising, and they have already created successful and cost-effective campaigns as a result.Likewise, a lot of Chinese startups are focusing on AI. Much of that influence can be attributed to the government. This is because, in order to dominate the market, China's government is pouring funds (i.e. for grants, incubators, etc.) into AI-related ventures, giving startups the opportunity to constantly innovate in this industry.

Introduction Yousif Almutawa is the Chief Information Officer of DP World, Accelerator Program Director of TURN8, former VP of Du and also worked in the IT Management team for Dubai eGovernment Bio Yousif Almutawa is the Chief Information Officer of DP World, responsible for all Information Systems and Information Technology management. Prior to joining DP World, Mr Almutawa worked for du, a telecommunications service provider in the UAE, as Vice President for Fixed Access Network Implementation. He played a key role in the buildup and formation of Du’s telecom infrastructure. Mr Almutawa also spearheaded the Programme Management Office for the Telecom Department at Dubai Internet City, which later became part of du. As a telecoms professional, he was responsible for the rollout of next generation networks for new real estate developments across Dubai. His function included streamlining overall projects and programmes within the organisation at its early startup stage. He has also worked and successfully contributed his expertise as a member of the IT Management team for Dubai eGovernment during its startup phase. Mr Almutawa holds a BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from California State University, Sacramento, USA. His past roles also include an eBusiness Consultant, a Systems Integrator and an Internet professional for various companies in California.
