Brain Blast! You remember this old Nickelodeon show don't ya? Our guest for this week, the fittingly named Jimmy Nebula, gave us the amazingly vague episode idea of "space" so we figured we'd go all the way into stupid and choose Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius as this week's episode theme. We don't know how to type that weird dog noise that Tim Allen does, but this week we're talkin' Home Improvement, Tim Allen's sitcom vehicle from the 90s, and guest Peter Skobel's least favorite show! That's right, we said least favorite. Normally the goal of our show is to get the guest in a frenzy over a show they love and cherish. This week is a little different. In a time before superhero movies were profitable or even good, there was Meteor Man. Surprised? We were too. Today we have LA comic and absolute madman Mike Menendez to talk about the movie. This was after giving us three very obscure options for his episode.Meteor Man is a 90s film with about every black actor and comedian you could think of back then, it's about a DC (heh) area school teacher who gets super powers after being hit by a meteor. With his newfound powers like super strength, speed, and animal telepathy, he decides to fight a gang called the Golden Lords in his neighborhood with the help of the Bloods and Crips. That's the actual movie, now imagine the fanfic for it.Read the full story here!Follow Mike Menendez @mikemenendez on Twitter or @mikethemenendez on Instagram!Follow Atlas @atlasnovack on Twitter or Instagram!Follow Nick @millennialcomic on Instagram!Follow us @badreadingpod on Twitter or Instagram!Check out our other episodes on our Youtube channel or anywhere you find your podcasts! The Bachelor... a reality TV show that some say makes a mockery of dating and relationships, and yet we're about to make a mockery of something making a mockery of something making a mockery of dating and relationships, so who are we to judge? This week, we have brought on Mandy Martino, a comic with a small bladder and big dreams (her words) as we read to her a Bachelor/Harry Potter crossover story, as well as talk about her comedy career and something called the "google ghost". So listener, will you accept this rose?Read the full story here!Follow Mandy Martino @mandymartino on Twitter or Instagram! Oi mate, fancy a shag on this Valentine's Day? Vaguely offensive Britishisms aside, on this lovely Friday we have Sarah Bugden, hilarious comic and producer/co-host of the Downtown LA Comedy Crawl, to talk about Fleabag.A critically acclaimed comedy created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (who also was heavily involved in the BBC amazingness that is Killing Eve), Fleabag tells the story of a young woman in the UK's trials and tribulations in work, love, sex, and pretty much anything else a millennial goes through. This makes for a bit of a complicated problem when it comes to fanfiction, as every fanfic seems to be about sex at some point, so Atlas went out and picked something not featuring the characters from Fleabag, but rather the style of Fleabag. Get ready for a pissed off Sarah!Read the full story here!Follow Sarah Bugden @thesarahbugden on Twitter or Instagram!Follow Atlas @atlasnovack on Twitter or Instagram!Follow Nick @millennialcomic on Instagram!Follow us @badreadingpod on Twitter or Instagram!Check out our other episodes on our Youtube channel or anywhere you find your podcasts! Back, in the 90s, this was a very famous TV shoowwwwwwwww, it starred Calista Flock- Calista Flock- Calista Flockhart, don't act like youuuuuuuuu don't know...Actually, we didn't. This week, Nick and Atlas have brought on LA comic and frequent host at the Fourth Wall, Hank Chen, to talk about his favorite legal comedy-drama and some say intellectual predecessor to Scrubs, Ally McBeal. The story today is Flockhart's characters having a serendipitous meeting with a certain character whose actor would go on to do heroic things...Read the full story here!Follow Hank Chen @hanksterchen on Twitter or Instagram!Follow Atlas @atlasnovack on Twitter or Instagram!Follow Nick @millennialcomic on Instagram!Follow us @badreadingpod on Twitter or Instagram!Check out our other episodes on our Youtube channel or anywhere you find your podcasts! This week on Bad Reading, our podcast is 2 months, 2 days, 23 hours, and 37 minutes old. And on this glorious Friday, we have for you the coolest comic this side of the 110: Mia Mars! Mia is a fan of Pushing Daisies, an ABC show cancelled before its rightful time thanks to the writers' strike of the late 2000's. It features a man who is able to bring the dead back to life with a touch, but with a cost. Our story today is what happens years down the line when the costs of that gift start to show themselves. Get ready for an underrated show with an underratedly bad fanfiction in tow!Read the full story here!Follow Mia Mars @miafuckingmars on Twitter or Instagram!Follow Atlas @atlasnovack on Twitter or Instagram!Follow Nick @millennialcomic on Instagram!Follow us @badreadingpod on Twitter or Instagram!Check out our other episodes on our Youtube channel or anywhere you find your podcasts! It's our time down here!... With some amazingly terrible stories! With Stranger Things being such a talked-about IP in the zeitgeist, we decided to go with The Goonies. An 80's movie everyone remembers, whether on purpose or not, we brought in Chris Kidder, who loved this movie as a kid(der). So please, join us in a wacky adventure full of plotholes and grammatical errors, as we recapture the 80's, Kidder style!Read the full story here!Follow Chris Kidder @TRLsuchakidder on Twitter or @such.a.kidder Instagram!Follow Atlas @atlasnovack on Twitter or Instagram!Follow Nick @millennialcomic on Instagram!Follow us @badreadingpod on Twitter or Instagram!Check out our other episodes on our Youtube channel or anywhere you find your podcasts! "ADRIANNNNN!" Happy Friday once again, which means this week we have another episode for you. Today, we're featuring Joe Manente, human firecracker (EXPLOW!) and founder of the Fourth Wall Studios, which are comedy clubs that are popping up all over LA. Joe has chosen Rocky for his IP of choice, which is already a ridiculous franchise, so Atlas and Nick have to go deep for something that will make their guest question their sanity in choosing to come on this week.Read the full story here!Follow Joe Manente @fourthwalltv on Instagram!Follow Atlas @atlasnovack on Twitter or Instagram!Follow Nick @millennialcomic on Instagram!Follow us @badreadingpod on Twitter or Instagram!Check out our other episodes on our Youtube channel or anywhere you find your podcasts! We've been friends on this podcast. Now we're ready to travel down the road and back again!
