In this podcast episode, we chat with freelance consultant Kate Collinson about the power of staying small. Having worked for digital agencies in New York and Melbourne, she has has a wealth of experience working for brands such as Nike and Sports Girl. But after she was made redundant from a start up, she decided to switch things up and launch her own consultancy business.But as her client base grew, so did the pressure to scale and grow a team. At the end of 2018, Kate went through a period of real depression. As she worked her way through this she realised that she didn't have to say yes to everything. In fact, the opposite was true. She started saying no. She focused on creating a sustainable business - one that gave her freedom to do the things that made her happy. This is a great reminder that we don't need to scale our businesses and make more money.
