Jaime Cross left a career in corporate banking to be with her newborn son. And after two years, she felt the desire to build something meaningful. Something with global impact. Listen in as Jaime shares the prayer than launched an eight-figure organic skincare business. Question Highlights Let's kick things off with your story. Who did you used to be before you created a business? Can you walk us through the timeline of what happened? Can you give an example of a time you thought, ‘This is really hard,' but you pushed through because you knew the calling was from God? What does it look like to become a new person as you reach each new level of growth? You say that even believers are not always in covenant with God. Can you explain this idea further? How would you describe the covenant relationship? What is your take on the best way to tithe? What would you say to a woman who is a believer, but things keep happening that leave her feeling worn down? What would you say to someone who's considering network marketing but isn't sure it's for them? Why should they join your company? In this episode, you will learn about… What happened when Jaime prayed to God for a billion-dollar idea Why Jaime and her husband went all-in on MIG Living (even though the decision looked foolish to the world) Jaime's take on what kingdom wealth really means How to reframe hardship as training to be a true child of God The difference between gratitude and faith What inspired Jaime to transition MIG to the multilevel marketing business model What differentiates MIG's products and culture from other network marketing opportunities Show Notes God listens. Just ask Jaime Cross. She left career in corporate banking to be with her newborn son. And after two years as a stay-at-home mom, she felt the desire to build something meaningful. Something with global impact. So, Jaime asked God for a billion-dollar idea, and days later, she literally saw business plan in a dream. After years of trial and error, she went from peddling soap at farmers markets to an eight-figure online business. Jaime is the founder of MIG Living, an organic skincare company that is leading the true beauty movement and changing the way people do clean living. She believes that business can be force for good, and she is paving way for women everywhere to activate their own dreams and embark on the journey to becoming HER. On this episode of The Live Out Loud Show, Jaime joins Brooke to share her business journey, describing why she and her husband went all-in on building MIG—even though the decision looked foolish to the world. I thought I had made it! I'd escaped the bullies and life was pretty good, however, after about 6 years, I was still so unhappy and insecure with the skin that I was in. I then moved to Wagga Wagga in NSW, here I changed careers and became a stock and station agent. It was in this role I was faced with a bad case of workplace bullying and turned to fitness as my escape. It was then I realised fitness was my destiny. And making Him her CEO continues to drive her business success.  Not only that, she is making a positive impact on the world in ways she never dreamed possible. Amy is the cofounder of Eyes of Faith Optical, a Christian eyewear brand built around the principles of purpose, passion and style. She and her husband started the business in 2008 as a way to express their faith in a new way, and every purchase from Eyes of Faith has a give-back component that supports ministries and medical organizations around the world. On this episode of The Live Out Loud Show, Amy joins Brooke to explain how she took a leap of faith to found Eyes of Faith despite the economic collapse and health challenges she had at the time. She discusses how the brand offers consumers a way to express our faith, describing her collaborations with churches, medical organizations and school districts to give the gift of sight—both physical and spiritual—to people in need.  Listen in for insight around the Scripture that's printed inside each pair of Eyes of Faith frames and learn to follow Amy's example and use YOUR gifts and talents to serve God! A little over 4 years ago I felt like I was drowning.  I was uncomfortable, and not fulfilled. My self worth was based on what others thought of me, and how I wanted to be perceived. "As long as the outside is packaged nicely, little needs to be done on the inside." This was the subconscious lie I was telling myself, because I didn't want to do the work, or more so didn't know how to... This mindset pinwheeled into viewing what others did, accomplished, and posted, and setting up unrealistic guidelines for my life... You must be married by 35 You must be a certain weight You must work a certain job You must say certain things, around certain people You must create work like You must You must  You must  And then God did something that changed the course of my life forever… Broke me down, to the lowest point I had ever been. I had two choices: fade away into misery, or open myself up to messages, and do the work. I am grateful every freaking day that I chose the latter! And as a result, I am experiencing shifts in my life I never thought possible.  Is it easy? No! Is it messy? Of course. But, is it worth it? Absolutely! Why do I bring this up you may ask?  Because I see too many amazing, gifted, people doing things from a place of "YOU MUST", I see emptiness being carried around.  God whispered on your soul for a reason.  And, in episode #146 of the Dance Boss Podcast I share my story like I never have before. Apply Now: www.artstoheartsproject.com/magazine-submission/ Theme: Gaze Women are often subjected to a gaze which shapes their identity. This gaze is from men, other women, and society at large which makes a woman feel conscious about herself. It signifies a woman to be The Other as she is excluded from the community. The theme for the exhibition is this ‘gaze', of being a woman, a woman of colour, a person identifying as a woman, an outsider, and any other way of depicting hierarchy. For further details:  https://artstoheartsproject.com/magazine-submission/ Our goal is to document multiple varied voices leading to a strong single female voice by showcasing various perspectives/ experiences of defining this “Gaze”. This exhibit with international womxn artists is an attempt to construct a visual and vocal message with the support of art & women artists. Documentation of ‘the gaze' that has stopped them, broken them, hurt them, and also set the fire in them to come forward.   ELIGIBILITY We welcome womxn artists, or artists who identify as women, and/or non-binary from all countries and nationality to apply with works in any medium including painting, sculptures, printmaking, and more. Artists who are willing to engage in candid and transparent conversations. We want to bring women artists who are ready to share their journey, their learnings, talk about their brightest moments and vulnerable sides to be a part of this project.   SELECTED ARTISTS If your work is selected by our guest curator, you will be a part of an Online Exhibition and few selected artists will be a part of All SHE Makes' #3 Print Issue in the Fall of 2021.

Life is full of unwanted and unwelcome seasons. So, how do you course correct and ground yourself in faith amid the struggle? Listen in as bestselling author and activist Christine Caine explains how to navigate an unpredictable world, identify when you're starting to drift and anchor yourself in Jesus! Question Highlights In the book, you talk about how easy it is to drift because ‘all we have to do is nothing.' What do you mean by that? People are experiencing a high level of anxiety right now. What do you do first when everything seems chaotic and unpredictable? What would you say to someone who desires intimacy with the Lord and wants to feel that hope but can't seem to get there? What is the gift of lament? In the book, you identify 9 signs that we're drifting off course. Can you share some of those with us? What is the difference between solitude and isolation? Though we know God will never abandon us, it's hard to believe when we're in the middle of suffering. How can we re-center ourselves in these moments of doubt? Your book gives us the tools to keep ‘ringing the bell of victory.' Can you tell us more about that? You say that in the second half of your life, you're dedicated to having more faith and taking more risks. What does that look like for you? You say that the hour is urgent. Can you expand on that? In this episode, you will learn about…   How Jesus serves as an anchor for our souls as the currents change under us Getting mobilized by an EVEN IF faith vs. paralyzed by a WHAT IF faith How the wounds of our past seep out as toxicity when we don't allow God to heal us Why we fall short of the good we could be doing when we let ourselves drift The power of gathering in community and how it makes us stronger Asking close friends to carry us when we don't have the strength to get to Jesus by ourselves Christine's commitment not to RETIRE but to RE-FIRE and seize every bit of beauty, grace and opportunity life has to offer Christine's challenge to wake up and be the women of God that He's calling us to be Show Notes How did I get here?
