We theorize about why certain parts of our life feel vivid, and why certain periods feel harder to be present for. We also discuss doing new things (one of our new years' resolutions!) like visiting a new city or engaging in new hobbies. Support the showFollow us on social media @eatyourcrustpod
Daniel Mirfield is an intuitive healer and author living in New Zealand, and in this episode we had a conversation about people finding inner peace and much more. He talked about overcoming difficult times is his own life to get himself back to the true inner peace he had as a boy in rural England where he had a close relationship to nature. He also described how he channeled his book, titled Seedling: The Journey to Inner Peace, as part of his own healing process. This was a very interesting conversation for me because Daniel told us how, as an intuitive child he "saw" or felt the energies behind peoples' words, and over time he learned that "everything happening in life is a transfer of energy". For most of my life I was not naturally intuitive and I did not have that strong sense of energies in myself and the world, but I have since learned how valuable and helpful that is in our approach to life. Daniel pointed out that there is a powerful energetic shift happening on the planet now, and that the next 2 decades will be critical. He said the world needs all people to shift more to the divine feminine principles of love and nurturing relationships to people and the planet. Near the end of the conversation, he gave us tips about organizing our life in terms of "spaces" for work, home, eating, sleeping, etc., to give us some structure to support our nervous systems and mental health. And he taught us the importance of being in the present moment and other guiding principles for life. I've recently been reflecting on how much life happens "in the hallway". You know, that space between one door closing and the next one opening ;) I used to find that space intensely uncomfortable, and was often "frozen" while waiting for the next thing to happen... THANK GOODNESS I've come to realize that THE HALLWAY is the place to be!! As mentioned, its the place that life is actually really happening! It is THE NOW, rather than the past or the future. And yes it can still be very uncomfortable, but that's because it's often a space of uncertainty, or limbo as its also called. That being said, my experience has shown me, and continues to show me, that uncertainty doesn't have to be scary or always uncomfortable. It can be exciting and exhilirating, when appropriate, and yet the difficult times will always lead to spiritual growth, should I opt to take on that perspective. Here's to finding comfort in the hallway! Here's to no longer waiting for the "next thing" but rather embracing the "now thing". Join me and perhaps be inspired to be where your feet are :) **DISCLAIMER: Please take note that any references to ketamine infusions or any other form of medicinal treatments, mainstream or non mainstream, are strictly meant to provide an insight into my own experiences. Mindfulness is the key to a life of fulfillment… where else are you going to be fulfilled except in this moment… right… now?
Overwhelm and Procrastination are a pattern that lead to a downward spiral of frustrating feelings. Learn how to break free through a new technique I'm developing... watch for more on the subject in the coming weeks.
When we are mean to ourselves it impacts the world in unexpected ways. What do you say to yourself in the mirror when things don't go as you had wished? Is it time to heal the relationship to yourself?
If we're going to "Save the World" we have to start by addressing our own demons first... It all starts with you.
Why it's important to be in this moment right now. In truth there is no where else to be... There is no other place from which to make changes.
What does it mean to be truly "happy"; all day singing and dancing? Learn what it means to you to find true happiness and fulfillment; it may not be what you think.
