We're recording poolside at Disney's brand-new tower at the Polynesian Village Resort to talk all about the best Disney staycation resorts across several categories. Most people think of Walt Disney World as a place where you have to be in the parks from sunrise to fireworks, but we believe some of the very best Disney vacations happen when you never even step foot inside a park. For us, a Disney staycation is all about slowing down, relaxing, and enjoying everything the resorts have to offer. These aren't just hotels — they're destinations on their own. We're talking pools that feel like mini waterparks, restaurants that rival anything in Orlando, lounges with unbeatable theming, and hidden corners where you can kick back and unwind. Each resort has its own atmosphere, and some truly transport you to another world. In this episode, we're breaking it all down across several categories — from best pools and dining to most relaxing resorts, family favorites, and even a few hidden gems that often get overlooked. Whether you're planning your very first no-parks Disney getaway or you just want to know which resorts we think make for the perfect staycation, we've got you covered.

Welcome back to another fun-filled episode of Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast! This week, the Roundtable kicks things off with some mouthwatering talk as Remy asks Jen and Mike to share their favorite spots to grab a cheeseburger in Florida. From sit-down restaurants inside the theme parks to hidden local gems, the crew swaps stories about juicy patties, melty cheese, and those can't-miss toppings. They even dive into which fast food chains serve up the best quick cheeseburger fix when the craving hits. It's the perfect way to get hungry before jumping into all the theme park action! After the foodie fun, Remy covers The Latest Theme Park Updates with some major news from Walt Disney World. Over at Magic Kingdom, fans of the beloved classic Carousel of Progress will soon experience something truly special — the attraction is set to feature a brand-new Walt Disney animatronic at the very beginning of the ride. This exciting update will give guests a chance to see Walt himself welcome them into his timeless vision of progress, blending nostalgia with innovation in true Disney fashion. And if that wasn't enough, Cinderella Castle is preparing to roll back the clock with a stunning refresh: the park has announced that the castle will return to its classic blue and gray color scheme, a look longtime Disney fans will remember fondly from decades past. The updates continue with some bittersweet news out of Disney's Animal Kingdom. The Roundtable discusses the official closure announcement for the beloved but sometimes controversial attraction, DINOSAUR. After thrilling guests since 1998 with its time-traveling jeep ride back to the prehistoric age, the attraction will roar for the last time on February 1, 2026. That gives fans just over a year to make their final journey into the late Cretaceous era. The crew reflects on the ride's legacy, its unique thrills, and what its closure could mean for the future of Dinoland U.S.A.Next, it's time for another delicious edition of Mike's Munchies, where Mike takes the Roundtable to Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs. Known for its bright, airy atmosphere and California-inspired menu, this spot offers everything from refreshing cocktails to indulgent desserts. Mike builds a full dining experience — an appetizer, entrée, drink, and dessert — and by the time the check arrives, the grand total rings up to $116 for one person. The Roundtable debates whether the price tag matches the experience, and Mike shares his take on whether Summer House should be added to your must-visit Disney Springs dining list. Then, buckle up for this week's Ride of the Week, as Remy shines a spotlight on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Remy dives deep into the history of this high-speed indoor coaster, from its groundbreaking launch system that propels guests from 0 to 60 mph in just a few seconds, to the ride's unique partnership with legendary rock band Aerosmith. He shares Imagineering details, fun facts, and why this ride remains a fan-favorite after more than two decades. Remy also talks about his own recent visit to Hollywood Studios, where, during his day off around 5:20 p.m., a thunderstorm rolled in and shut down nearly every attraction in the park — a classic Florida theme park experience that locals and visitors alike can relate to!From burgers and dining adventures to theme park history and future updates, this episode of Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast is packed with everything fans love about the Florida parks. We dive into our first stay at the new DVC Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort — and for the first time ever, we brought the dogs! From check-in to checkout, we're breaking down what it's really like to travel to Walt Disney World with your furry family members, including how the pups adjusted, what's included in Pluto's Welcome Kit, and why Fort Wilderness might just be the most peaceful spot on property to settle in and stay a while. We also talk through Disney's pet policy in full — which resorts allow dogs, how the booking process works, and what to expect when that $50 nightly fee kicks in. Then we get into the cabins themselves: the layout, the comfort, the thoughtful little touches, and how these redesigned spaces compare to other DVC options around property. Speaking of golf carts, we couldn't resist — and we're glad we didn't. We share how having one will totally change the vibe of your trip, made traveling with the dogs easier, and added a little extra fun to everything from fried chicken pickups to late-night loops through the campground. From there, we head into classic Fort Wilderness territory: scavenger hunts, gem mining at the Bike Barn, and a perfect mix of old-school charm and new family memories. We talk about meals at the cabin, including an easy homemade breakfast and a fried chicken feast from P&J's Southern Takeout that might still be one of the best values on Disney property. And of course, it wouldn't be a Main Street Magic episode without snacks around property. We'll tell you which ones were worth it (looking at you, monkey bread), which surprised us (hello, watermelon pop), and which ones we're still dreaming about (yes, that Lunchbox tart deserves the hype). We also wrap things up with a trip to Toothsome at Universal for a massive Cookie Jar sundae and one of the sweetest finales we've had in a while.Whether you're thinking about booking a cabin, bringing your pup, or just want to hear about monkey bread and golf cart joyrides, this one's packed with Fort Wilderness magic.

Be our guest as we invite you to pull up a chair and join us for dinner at VIVO Italian Kitchen™ inside Universal CityWalk™ Orlando. Instead of reviewing the restaurant after the fact, we did something different — we hit record right at the table so you could hear our real-time thoughts as the evening unfolded. From the moment the appetizer arrived to the last sip of our mocktails, every reaction, laugh, and side conversation was captured live.We each ordered something different, from handmade pasta entrées crafted with heirloom family recipes to creative zero-proof drinks that gave the night a refreshing twist. Along the way, we share our honest takes on presentation, portion size, service, and overall atmosphere. You'll hear the clink of silverware, the banter over the check, and the little details that make dining at VIVO a uniquely immersive experience. But of course, because it's us, the night also went a little sideways — leading to a surprisingly deep (and funny) conversation about VIVO's bathrooms, which turned out to be some of the most unusual we've ever seen at a theme park restaurant. By the end, we're not just talking food, but also sinks, stalls, and the unwritten etiquette of handwashing. If you've ever wondered what it's really like to dine at VIVO Italian Kitchen™, this episode delivers the flavors, the fun, and even a few unexpected laughs.
This is The Beer Is Fundamental Show. This is Episode 146 and we want to welcome you once again to the NeighBeerHood where craft beer is always the talk of the town. We are your hosts, BT aka O-Beer-Wan Kenobi the Jedi Knight of craft beer and Lady T. We go to Disney a lot. We are Disney Passholders. We've been passholder since 2015. But we readily admit that we haven't even scratched the surface of what all Disney has to offer. It could be becuse we spend so much time at EPCOT. Don't let anyone tell you different. EPCOT is for adults. But I digress. We definitely do not take advantage of Disney Springs. Our introduction to The Edison is proof of that. We were able to attend the 2nd Annual Bartender's Bash at The Edison and it was so much fun. As they say, "There are no bartenders here. Only mixologists." That is an understatement. The Bartender's Bash is where eight of Central Florida's top mixologists compete with their handcrafted cocktails. Guests are able to sample and vote while indulging in perfectly paired bites prepared by The Edison. There's live entertainment and a silent auction with proceeds going to Give Kids the World Village. We did something a little different with this live show. We decided to keep the background noise. We're not sure how we feel about it. Lady T, who is usually camera ready with great pictures was totally off of her game. However, we still enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully, you enjoy the show. You can listen to this episode on your favorite platform where you get your podcast. Or you can scroll to the bottom of the page to listen or download the episode. Cheers!
Not to be outdone by the parks, Disney Springs is also offering their own assortment of Halloween inspired (or way less inspired) food and drinks. Adam, Todd, and Mikey run through their must haves and don't bothers on this tasty episode of 3 Sheets to the Mouse! Here's the list of food items we followed from the Disney Parks Blog. And here's a link to our Discord.
