Alan Duggan Borges, the guitarist in Gilla Band, released his debut self-titled EP as The Null Club on April 4. Comrprising three tracks, 'Frameshift' features the rapper ELUCID (one half of Armand Hammer), '14 Hours' features Faris Badwan (The Horrors), and 'Slip Angles' has vocals by Valentine Caulfield (Mandy, Indiana). We talk about how the Null Club began and what it was like making the tracks with those contributors and what the future holds. We also discuss Alan's previous 'other' band, The Claque, and topics from Fontaines DC to Gilla Band's cover of Blawan's 'Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage', which felt like a turning point for them, techno music, and supporting Iggy Pop at In The Meadows on June 7. Buy The Null Club EP: https://thenullclub.bandcamp.com/album/the-null-club-ep The Null Club live dates: May 2: The Workmans Club - Dublin May 13: Corsica Studios - London May 14: Rough Trade - Bristol May 16: Yes, The Basement - Manchester --- Press release: Spending time over the last few years learning about synthesis, production, and how to record has been an incredibly rewarding experience for Alan. This project has created an opportunity to explore genres and styles of music outside of Gilla Band that he's never done before, as well as being completely in control of the production and instrumentation. It's also been an opportunity to work with incredible artists who Alan truly admires and have had a massive influence. Getting the caliber of talent on the EP happened very naturally and somewhat unremarkably. He reached out to Val from Mandy, Indiana via Instagram and she thankfully agreed. Faris and ELUCID had both reached out to Gilla Band to say hey and he jumped at the opportunity to get them involved in the project. The EP will be released on a limited run of 500 12” white label records, each hand stamped by Alan and released independently on a label ran by his wife and himself. The EP was mixed by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band), and mastered by Jamie Hyland (M(h)aol). with vocals contributed by the artists. All instrumentals were performed and recorded by Alan in his home, and rehearsal studio in Dublin, Ireland. with vocals being recorded in a mix of places – NYC, London, and Manchester (sometimes in studios, sometimes in the artists homes). There will be a number of solo shows across Ireland and England where Alan will be reworking the tracks from the EP live along with a number of unheard pieces of music. There will be numerous synths, noise machines, guitars, and many pedals on stage all being looped into different amps to bring the songs to life in a live setting. Tickets on-sale now.
What happens when HR strategy genuinely aligns with company mission? Amy Kruglak, the first VP of People at medical AI company Elucid, reveals the powerful impact of intentional employee experiences in this thought-provoking conversation. After taking a post-COVID break to recharge from the exhaustion many HR leaders experienced, Amy found herself drawn to Elucid's mission of cardiovascular disease prevention—a cause deeply personal to her after losing her father to sudden cardiac disease. This alignment between personal values and organizational purpose forms the foundation of her approach to people leadership.Working at the intersection of regulated medical technology and cutting-edge AI presents unique HR challenges. Amy details how she's navigated these complexities by immersing herself in the business fundamentals, developing specialized onboarding programs that help technical talent quickly understand Elucid's innovative products, and creating benefits that reflect the company's mission—like providing cardiac CT scans to all employees.Throughout the conversation, Amy emphasizes that effective HR leadership requires both data mastery and human connection. "I'm kind of a data junkie," she admits, highlighting how metrics around hiring, compensation, and performance give her the credibility needed to partner strategically with business leaders. Yet she balances this analytical approach with a commitment to honest feedback and personalized employee experiences that simply aren't possible in larger organizations. As Elucid celebrates reaching 100 employees, Amy offers advice for HR professionals stepping into executive roles: "Learn the business." Understanding how people drive organizational success transforms HR from a support function into a strategic powerhouse that directly impacts the bottom line.Whether you're leading people operations in a regulated industry, navigating growth at a mission-driven company, or seeking to create more intentional employee experiences, Amy's insights provide a roadmap for elevating HR's impact. Hey there, welcome back to another Trve. Cvlt. Pop! Podcast. It's that wonderful time of the month, where we look back at the albums that have really excited us from the past four weeks. This time we have picked, frankly, some incredibly intense music from Chat Pile, Blood Incantation, Machine Girl, Elucid and BABii. If that sounds a little bit too much, chill out, we're also talking about the new Kylie minogue album as well! Something for everyone innit! We also look back at a sublime lost single from former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler going solo and there is a report from Beartooth's recent Alexandra Palace show.

Even though we have dedicated quite a few episodes of this show talking about contemporary hip-hop, especially the left field, intensely wordy variety, we have not been able to settle on a name for what we see as a movement of like-minded artists at its cutting edge. One of our struggles in talking about this kind of music is that it defies easy categorization. Sure, it is "underground hip-hop" in the broadest sense, but that term has little meaning in the streaming economy, and is a somewhat outdated term aesthetically as well. As we were beginning to learn the lay of the land of who were the best abstract or "thoughtful" rappers of this era were a few years ago, we started calling the cluster of Backwoodz-associated rappers and their affiliates The Vanguard. The name didn't stick, it's probably too generic to describe the florid and intricate music that is being made. Pretty much everyone got mad when it was referred to as "Art Rap" in a piece in Complex written by friend of the program Shawn Setaro that quoted DBRP host Nate LeBlanc several times. That leaves us, who pride ourselves on a keen ability to describe this music, without an effective banner term. And frankly, these artists are too independent-minded to fall into easy categories, that is part of the reason why we fuck with them. However you try to define this sound, this scene, ELUCID is one of the premier artists of our time, a leading voice in this indescribable tangle of abstract MCs and Producers making challenging, interesting music that pushes hip-hop forward. We have interviewed ELUCID multiple times on DBRP in the past, and we have always found him to be engaging and willing to discuss his art on a bit of a deeper level than most other artists. Today we're talking to him about his new album, Revelator. The album drops October 18th, and in fact we conducted the first interview about it, kind of an unofficial kickoff of the rollout of the record. We look forward to many more listens to this album soon, to unlock its mysteries. Hopefully this interview provides some helpful context for you to consider when you are able to hear it upon release. This week's episode also has a surprise bonus interview with the Previous Industries crew. DBRP hosts Demone Carter and David Ma were able to catch up with Open Mike Eagle, Video Dave, and Still Rift at their show in San Francisco recently for a very loose conversation about their recent album Service Merchandise, one of our favorites of the year thus far. The rest of the audio can be found on our Patreon: www.patreon.com/dadbodrappod DBRP is produced by Demone Carter. Theme song by Cutso and DEM ONE. Brought to you by Stony Island Audio
*Note: This episode originally dropped on June 18th, 2020* This week we have a rangy interview with billy woods and Elucid, the members of group Armand Hammer, whose new record Shrines is among the year's best. They provide insight into the album's origins, artwork, and their trusted circle of collaborators among many other topics. In the second segment the fellas discuss the best rap records of the year so far, a check-in on the state of the art as we reach the halfway point of this chaotic but increasingly inspiring year. Beats for this week's show were submitted by Controller 7 and we thank him for the contributions. Our theme song is composed by DJ Albert Jenkins.

Your hosts this episode: Patrique Thoughtfoul Patrique is back with fellow previous podcast guest Thoughtfoul with a long promised episode since the last time the two came together for their discussion on Mr. eXquire, to discuss the underground Rap label Backwoodz Studioz. Since that review much has come out from the grim-y, lyrical label and in this episode the pod hosts look back at the last subsequent year of the label's releases and subsequent label members up to the present day. Beginning with rerelease of Premrock's "Load Bearing Crow's Feet" and ending with the recent release of Elucid's old group Cult Favorite's "Sway, Masses". Along the way they discuss the label's packed with talent roster such as Curly Castro, Billy Woods, Elucid, Akai Solo, Shrapknel, and more. As well as discussing the emotional impact and layers to the writing of many of Backwoodz's artists and how interconnected it all comes together as a cohesive label. Galaxy-halo size relation from SDSS DR7 and the ELUCID simulation by Youcai Zhang et al. on Tuesday 11 October Based on galaxies in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 7 (SDSS DR7) and dark matter haloes in the dark matter only, cosmological and constrained ELUCID simulation, we investigate the relation between the observed radii of central galaxies with stellar mass $gtrsim 10^{8} h^{-2}{rm M}_odot$ and the virial radii of their host dark matter haloes with virial mass $gtrsim 10^{10.5} h^{-1}{rm M}_odot$, and the dependence of galaxy-halo size relation on the halo spin and concentration. Galaxies in observation are matched to dark matter (sub-)haloes in the ELUCID simulation using a novel neighborhood subhalo abundance matching method. For galaxy 2D half-light radii $R_{50}$, we find that early- and late-type galaxies have the same power-law index 0.55 with $R_{50} propto R_{rm vir}^{0.55}$, although early-type galaxies have smaller 2D half-light radii than late-type galaxies at fixed halo virial radii. When converting the 2D half-light radii $R_{50}$ to 3D half-mass radii $r_{1/2}$, both early- and late-type galaxies display similar galaxy-halo size relations with $log r_{1/2} = 0.55 log (R_{rm vir}/210 h^{-1}{rm kpc}) + 0.39$. We find that the galaxy-halo size ratio $r_{1/2}/ R_{rm vir}$ decreases with increasing halo mass. At fixed halo mass, there is no significant dependence of galaxy-halo size ratio on the halo spin or concentration. arXiv: http://arxiv.org/abs/http://arxiv.org/abs/2210.05215v1

ELUCID VII: Using Constrained Hydro Simulations to Explore the Gas Component of the Cosmic Web by Renjie Li et al. on Wednesday 07 September Using reconstructed initial conditions in the SDSS survey volume, we carry out constrained hydrodynamic simulations in three regions representing different types of the cosmic web: the Coma cluster of galaxies; the SDSS great wall; and a large low-density region at $zsim 0.05$. These simulations, which include star formation and stellar feedback but no AGN formation and feedback, are used to investigate the properties and evolution of intergalactic and intra-cluster media. About half of the warm-hot intergalactic gas is associated with filaments in the local cosmic web. Gas in the outskirts of massive filaments and halos can be heated significantly by accretion shocks generated by mergers of filaments and halos, respectively, and there is a tight correlation between gas temperature and the strength of the local tidal field. The simulations also predict some discontinuities associated with shock fronts and contact edges, which can be tested using observations of the thermal SZ effect and X-rays. A large fraction of the sky is covered by Ly$alpha$ and OVI absorption systems, and most of the OVI systems and low-column density HI systems are associated with filaments in the cosmic web. The constrained simulations, which follow the formation and heating history of the observed cosmic web, provide an important avenue to interpret observational data. With full information about the origin and location of the cosmic gas to be observed, such simulations can also be used to develop observational strategies. arXiv: http://arxiv.org/abs/http://arxiv.org/abs/2206.08384v2
Elucidating Galaxy Assembly Bias in SDSS by Andrés N. Salcedo et al. on Tuesday 06 September We investigate the level of galaxy assembly bias in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) main galaxy sample using ELUCID, a state-of-the-art constrained simulation that accurately reconstructed the initial density perturbations within the SDSS volume. On top of the ELUCID haloes, we develop an extended HOD model that includes the assembly bias of central and satellite galaxies, parameterized as $mathcal{Q}_mathrm{cen}$ and $mathcal{Q}_mathrm{sat}$, respectively, to predict a suite of one- and two-point observables. In particular, our fiducial constraint employs the probability distribution of the galaxy number counts measured on $8,mathrm{Mpc},h^{-1}$ scales $N_8^g$ and the projected cross-correlation functions of quintiles of galaxies selected by $N_8^g$ with our entire galaxy sample. We perform extensive tests of the efficacy of our method by fitting the same observables to mock data using both constrained and non-constrained simulations. We discover that in many cases the level of cosmic variance between the two simulations can produce biased constraints that lead to an erroneous detection of galaxy assembly bias if the non-constrained simulation is used. When applying our method to the SDSS data, the ELUCID reconstruction effectively removes an otherwise strong degeneracy between cosmic variance and galaxy assembly bias in SDSS, enabling us to derive an accurate and stringent constraint on the latter. Our fiducial ELUCID constraint, for galaxies above a stellar mass threshold $M_*{=}10^{10.2},h^{-2},M_odot$, is $mathcal{Q}_mathrm{cen}{=}{-}0.09pm{0.05}$ and $mathcal{Q}_mathrm{sat}{=}0.09pm{0.10}$, indicating no evidence for a significant~($>2sigma$) galaxy assembly bias in the local Universe probed by SDSS. Finally, our method provides a promising path to the robust modelling of the galaxy-halo connection within future surveys like DESI and PFS. arXiv: http://arxiv.org/abs/http://arxiv.org/abs/2010.04176v2

Video animation by: Big Flowers Intro/Outro beat by: BLOODBLIXING The Hook (0:21). Main Body of Review (1:57). Since the stock of Armand Hammer and the Backwoodz Studioz name has risen exponentially in recent years, this latest album from ELUCID presented a real opportunity for him. A prime opportunity for ELULCID to solidify his perch in rap lore as one of the best artists of his generation, by delivering an album that amazes when the spotlight is beaming at its brightest. I Told Bessie was not only a highly-anticipated album, but felt like one of, if not, THE most important moments in hip-hop this year. So the question is, did ELUCID follow through on these weighty expectations and cash in on his chance in the spotlight? Listen to find out... We're back! This week we talk about how things suddenly look like Chicago in the 90s. Yes, House music is back, not due to the countless DJs tolling in the underground, but obviously because of Drake and Beyonce (we kid!). Having that said, having the world's two biggest artists embrace the genre could be a turning point. We discuss. Plus new music by Elucid and a video review of IAMDOECHII's "Crazy". See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Normally we have an interview with a rapper, producer, or a writer. On this week's episode we are talking to Namir Blade, a performer who rejects such limiting labels and prefers to be referred to as an artist. He just released a new album, Metropolis on Mello Music Group and we are intrigued by his utilization of multiple vocal techniques, his production prowess, and his general swag. In the opening segment we begin to reckon with ELUCID's massive new album I Told Bessie. Demone in particular has some nuanced takes that may help newcomers understand the great MC's unique technique. Perhaps we will delve further into that in the near future. Earl Sweatshirt - "Tabula Rasa (feat. Armand Hammer)" from the 2022 album Sick on Tan Cressida, inc/Warner. Former Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt is gearing up to release his latest album, Sick, this month and the anticipation couldn't be higher. His first release since 2019's introspective Feet of Clay, Sick is still mostly a mystery other than the two singles released ahead of its arrival, “2010” and “Tabula Rasa.” The latter track is our Song of the Day and for good reason. Featuring the duo that made one of the biggest marks on hip hop in 2021, Armand Hammer, the song is a woozy spectacle of talent. An unchanging repeating piano line and fractured sample make a perfect bed for Earl, Elucid, and billy woods to lay their lyrics on. Each politely taking his own turn, they lethargically spit their individual truths for a poetic manifesto. “Sick is my humble offering of 10 songs recorded in the wake of the worldwide coronavirus pandemic and its subsequent lockdowns,” Earl Sweatshirt said in a statement. “Before the virus, I had been working on an album I named after a book I used to read with my mother (The People Could Fly). Once the lockdowns hit, people couldn't fly anymore. A wise man said art imitates life. People were sick. The People were angry and isolated and restless. I leaned into the chaos cause it was apparent that it wasn't going anywhere. These songs are what happened when I would come up for air.” Sick is out January 14 via Tan Cressida/Warner Records. “Tabula Rasa” was released alongside a lo-fi video of the rappers in the studio, making magic happen (or, in the case of billy woods, grilling ribs).

HELLO EVERYONE TODAY WE WILL TALK ABOUT Armand Hammer and the Alchemist: “Stonefruit”NYC rappers Elucid and billy woods have been making uncompromising music together as Armand Hammer since 2013, but this year's collab with veteran producer the Alchemist, Haram, finds them at a rarified new level. The simple production on album closer “Stonefruit” centers a siren synth that sits just behind a beat propelled by triumphant drumrolls and two repeating arpeggios. ELUCID matches the production with a gruff verse about love and its pitfalls, and billy woods follows from the opposite angle, gliding through thorny rhyme schemes (regalia, bougainvillea, marginalia) before zeroing in on the image of a woman who conquers and cannibalizes his body.Belonging somewhere among jam, compote, and caramel sauce, this spoon-over-everything sweet-tart topping is made by thinning a caramel with fruit juice and vinegar rather than cream. The consistency of your final product will vary greatly depending on the nature of your fruit, like whether it's super juicy or how much pectin it contains. Embrace the variance (and follow your instincts!)—it will taste great any which way. Mix and match the fruit and vinegar based on what sounds good to you and what you have on hand (maybe it's plums and unseasoned rice vinegar, nectarines and sherry vinegar, or apricots and Champagne vinegar).IngredientsMakes about 1 cup12oz. ripe stone fruit (such as plums, peaches, nectarines, sour or sweet cherries, or apricots), pitted2–3Tbsp. vinegar (such as unseasoned rice, apple cider, sherry, Champagne, or red wine)½cup sugar1Tbsp. chilled unsalted butter, cut into pieces½tsp. vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract¼tsp. almond extract (optional)¼tsp. kosher salt, plus morePreparationStep 1Coarsely chop half of fruit and place in a blender along with any juices that have accumulated on cutting board. Chop remaining fruit into ½"–1" pieces (no need to chop if using cherries); set aside.Step 2Add 2 Tbsp. vinegar to fruit in blender. Purée until mostly smooth. Taste and add up to 1 Tbsp. more vinegar to brighten if needed. You should have ½–¾ cup, depending on the juiciness of your fruit.Step 3Pour sugar in an even layer in a medium heavy saucepan set over medium heat and cook, undisturbed, until most of the sugar is melted. Stir melted sugar gently into unmelted sugar until all of the sugar is melted. Continue to cook, without stirring, until caramel is amber in color, 7–10 minutes total. Remove from heat and immediately pour in fruit purée, stirring constantly with a heatproof rubber spatula. Don't be alarmed if mixture seizes. Set back over medium heat; cook, stirring, until smooth, about 2 minutes.Step 4Add reserved chopped fruit, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring, until caramel is bubbling and thickened slightly and fruit is warmed through, 2–5 minutes, depending on fruit. Remove from heat and stir in butter, vanilla bean paste, almond extract (if using), and ¼ tsp. salt. Taste and season with more salt if needed. Let cool slightly before serving.Do ahead: Fruit caramel can be made 3 weeks ahead. Let cool. Transfer to an airtight container; cover and chill.IT'S ALL FOR TODAY ,LIKE , SHARE , SUBSCRIBETHANK YOU

Moor Mother - "Made A Circle (feat. Nappy Nina, Maassai, Antonia Gabriela & Orion Sun)" from the 2021 album Black Encyclopedia of the Air on Moor Mother / Anti. While she couldn't physically engage with fellow artists during the pandemic, Moor Mother was able to virtually invite them to her latest LP, Black Encyclopedia Of The Air, out now via Anti- Records. The poet, artist, and musician — whose real name is Camae Ayewa — utilized more than 100 instrumentals from long-time collaborator Swedish producer Olof Melander, inviting vocals from artists lojii, Elucid, Brother May, Bfly, Yatta, Black Quantum Futurism, Elaine Mitchner, and Dudu Kouate, and on today's Song of the Day, Nappy Nina, Maassai, Antonia Gabriela, and Orion Sun. "Collaboration to me is just community," she toldThe Fader. `"I love being a solo artist, and I love to really dwell in that. Of course, I've always been into multiple genres. Like right now, I'd like to create some small chamber orchestra, but they would play my music. I'm more into that now trying to create some sort of small orchestra, as far as collaboration. But collaboration to me is community, and it's very accidental. You're just hanging out with your friend. Your friends are talented. It's all about seeing how talented your community is. Then collaboration is very easy. So it's not like I'm out here seeking to collaborate with people, it's just how it happens through community." In this week's episode, we hear a great pitch from Blake Richards CEO of Elucid. Followed by a Q&A and then a discussion between Martyn and Orrin Global Health Impact Fund (GHIF) is a Strategic Venture Capital Investment Network. Our investor-focused model invests exclusively on behalf of our clinician and healthcare professional investor network. We provide an opportunity for these professionals to participate in a diversified portfolio of early-stage healthcare technology companies. These businesses are revolutionizing the healthcare industry, but the vast majority of clinical professionals are simply observers to changes that will upset their practices and worldview. GHIF offers a potent alternative to that scenario. GHIF investors will directly help shape the technological cutting edge as executive advisors to the Fund. We care not just for your investment, but also for your opinions and participation. Our typical prospective investment will be seeking between $250K and $2M in capital. For businesses looking for more than $2M in the capital, we have the flexibility to co-invest alongside other strategic venture partners who meet our standards for commitment to healthcare improvement. We would love to know what you took away from this conversation with Martyn and Orrin! Follow @martyneeles and give your insight and questions using the hashtag #GHIF. If you would like to be considered as a guest or have someone you would like to hear from (GP or LP), drop me a direct message on Twitter.

We present a thoughtful and introspective convo with emcee, writer, and educator Defcee. His latest release “ceenick Deluxe” with producer Nick Arcade, has become one of our favorite things and we asked about some of the personal details behind the album. Then the three of us nerd out over Defcee's album pick, ELUCID's 2016 LP “Save Yourself.”
This week we welcome on a duo that have been killing the underground scene for years - Billy Woods and Elucid jump on to speak their new album ‘Haram’ with The Alchemist
(Go to 0:55 to skip the intro) Famed underground hip-hop duo Armand Hammer, comprised of billy woods and ELUCID, teamed up with hip-hop producer heavyweight, The Alchemist, for the highly anticipated Haram collaborative album. On Haram, Alc blended all of the Alchemist eras of sound into one. There are pieces of his more traditional hardcore hip-hop sound from the 90s/2000s, as well as hints of his exotic and more experimental approach that he has thrived doing during the 2010s In my opinion, this is the best produced Alchemist album front-to-back, within his entire illustrious career. He was just so locked in and razor-sharp in every single musical decision he made on this project. The psychedelic production and lyricism makes Haram an album that you truly will find yourself getting lost in.... but that's only if you submit to the Haram world and listen as a blank slate. That is because, contrary to popular beliefs held by publications such as NPR, this album is not accessible... and certainly not the most accessible Armand Hammer record to-date. ELUCID and woods get more even abstract, impressionistic, and free-form than ever before, even by their standards... in both the actual lyrics, and the overall way they communicate their messages and themes. This less than concrete and direct approach to lyricism contributes to Haram feeling like the most obtuse, and deceptively odd album in the Armand Hammer catalogue... and an almost impenetrable first listen. On my first listen, I felt like that https://armandhammer.bandcamp.com/album/haram -- For artist development/writing services, DM me @rohview on Twitter and Instagram, or shoot me an email at qlctv.podcast@gmail.com Let's stay connected! In this Episode 65 of Out Da Box Talks, Host Cril talks in depth with Emcees "billy woods" and "ELUCID" aka "Armand Hammer" about how they got their start in pursuing music, to meeting each other and collaborating and coming up with the name "Armand Hammer" as well. The duo also delve deep into the subjects of their Brand New Album "Haram" with Producer Extraordinaire "The Alchemist", how the collaboration came to be and his involvement as producer. We also talk about a number of the tracks featured on the album, and woods and ELUCID share insight on some of the lyrics and themes happening on the project. As the interview develops, Cril takes the time to also speak to the group about their successful 2020 LP "Shrines" as well as some of the lyrics and themes taking place on that project as well. This is a very in depth interview and really hones in to the music of the "Haram Album" as well as 2020's Shrines Album. I believe true fans of Armand Hammer will appreciate this interview and hopefully new listeners will become familiar with their vast catalogue as Armand Hammer but also as solo artists. Special thanks to woods and ELUCID for their time spent in the interview. May this interview bring inspiration and further understanding of the artists creative music efforts.
For our third episode, Reel Notes welcomes rappers billy woods and Elucid, also known as the duo Armand Hammer. Is there music in space? If sound isn't heard is it truly sound? These gifts we are blessed with here on this rock are taken immensely for granted. This week we delve into the legacy of Aceyalone's seminal album All Balls Don't Bounce on its 25th anniversary. After that we have dual interviews with the members of new group Small Bills. Producer The Lasso, whose work you may know from collaborations with Lando Chill, Chris Orrick and Psypiritual, is a multi-instrumentalist with restless creativity who has crafted a new sound for Elucid on this project. Elucid, one of the best MCs in the world right now, has an extensive solo catalog and is a member of groups Armand Hammer, Nostrum Grocers, and now Small Bills. This project finds Elucid exploring new sonic territory displaying the same high level lyricism we've come to expect from him. Small Bills' debut, Don't Play It Straight, will be released on Mello Music Group on Friday October 30th. DBRP is a proud member of the Stony Island Audio podcast network

This episode is all about hip hop. Paul Womack, AKA Willie Green, is a New York-based hip hop producer specializing in "art-rap." He produces extremely imaginative, groundbreaking beats for hip hop and pop artists who are not afraid to break the rules and sound completely different. Operating out of his studio in Brooklyn, he works with a roster of super creative and outspoken artists like Quelle Chris, Premrock, Billy Woods, Henry Canyon, EllaMaeFlossy and many others under the label Backwoodz Studioz. In the mob's damning stares, the shtetl woman saw reflections of not only burning torches but also burning hypocrisy, and this the worse conflagration. It wasn't enough that they'd spread their shameful lies to her customers. It wasn't enough that they'd marked and ransacked her market stall. They, whose children daily enjoyed the fruits of her sister-kin's bloody toils, now dared bring their accusations of blood libel to a part of town they'd otherwise never deign to enter and to the door of her family home?! No, not this night, she thought, not without real sacrifice. For that was what they accused, and that was what they demanded, wasn't it? So be it then. "Yes! Yes, I drank of your child's blood!" she moaned at her nearest accuser. "And yours," she cried to the next. "He's the fat one, isn't he? Tonight I'll bathe in his!" The crowd inhaled a ghastly gasp. "And yours!" And another. "And yours!" The horde receded. "And tomorrow the streets will run red with goyim baby blood!" Stream below, download the WAV version, and subscribe to our podcast here.
