Sponsor: Go to BigGameHuntingPodcast.com/ebook and sign up for my free e-book on the best hunting calibers at to receive the entertaining and informative emails I send out about hunting, firearms, and ballistics every weekday. In this episode of The Big Game Hunting Podcast, host John McAdams welcomes John Snow, Outdoor Life's shooting editor, for his first appearance on the show. They discuss modern cartridge design and focus on how the polarizing 6.5 Creedmoor embodies many of these design principles and how those characteristics distinguish the 6.5 Creedmoor from similarly performing cartridges like the 260 Remington and 6.5x55 Swede. They also discuss John Snow's experiences with the cutting edge 7mm Backcountry and some of the pitfalls and potential game changing benefits of that brand new design. The big takeaway? There's a reason why cartridges like the 6.5 Creedmoor are so popular and effective and it's not limited just to Hornady's aggressive and effective marketing (though that certainly plays a part too). Sponsor: Go to https://BigGameHuntingPodcast.com/ebook and sign up for my free e-book on the best hunting calibers at to receive the entertaining and informative emails I send out about hunting, firearms, and ballistics every weekday. In this episode of The Big Game Hunting Podcast, host John McAdams sits down with Tyler Freel to explore the 338 Lapua Magnum—a cartridge renowned for its power and extended range performance. Unlike past discussions with Tyler on smaller rounds, this interview dives into the mighty 338 Lapua Magnum's big game hunting potential. Tyler recounts how he first got hooked on the 338 Lapua, drawn by its long-range ballistics and ability to anchor massive animals like moose. He details a few instances of taking moose with a 285gr Hornady ELD Match (SD: 0.356) performed on moose at ranges from 200-550 yards. Tyler compares the 338 Lapua to the 338 Win Mag and 300 PRC, noting its edge in energy retention, but also in recoil. On reloading, Tyler favors slow-burning powders like Retumbo, H1000, and RL-26 to achieve ~2,700 fps of muzzle velocity with 285-grain Hornady ELD Match bullets that slip gracefully through the air, but still perform incredibly well on even the biggest moose. Tyler's takeaway? The 338 Lapua isn't for everyone, but it's a solid performer for use on really big game at extended range. Plus, it's tough to beat the cool factor that comes with this round! THE THESIS: The “DOJ” will make an example of James O'Keefe. The Party created the Alex Jones precedent, they used it to silence others and now Jones is facing a $45 million judgment for defamation, but the Mockingbird Media has never paid a dime for their decades of lies. Now, The Party looks ready to indict James O'Keefe to kill Project Veritas and the message will be clear: never challenge The Party. THE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES: Officials at the DOJ and FBI have been given much authority to steward. From them, much is expected. Luke 12:48 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. The Lord abhors human favoritism and the is exactly what The Party is employing Bible verses about favoritism As Christians we are supposed to be imitators of Christ who shows no favoritism, so neither should we. In Scripture we learn that it's forbidden and it should especially never be done with children. 1. James 2:8-9 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. 2. James 2:1 My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. 3. 1 Timothy 5:21 I solemnly command you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus and the highest angels to obey these instructions without taking sides or showing favoritism to anyone. THE NEWS & COMMENT: The Mockingbirds are afraid to ask who is actually running things in D.C., because it is perfectly clear it's not the Figurehead [AUDIO] - "I took control. I shouldn't do that. I'm not allowed to do that," Biden says before his handlers kick out the press. . . . Bill Marh has become more of a journalist than 99% of reporters on the national level. Listen to Rob Reiner and Amy Kloubachar struggle to answer a simple question about the media and Hunter Biden. [AUDIO] - This is extraordinary. Fred Litwin recounts how he became a JFK conspiracy freak at eighteen, and then slowly moved to believe that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin. I Was a Teenage JFK Conspiracy Freak demonstrates how the left and right have used the JFK assassination to drive home myths about power in America. There is also the persecution of a gay man prosecuted for conspiring to kill Kennedy, the ugly story of Oliver Stone’s homophobic film JFK, an exposé of conspiracy nonsense on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, a look at how the Soviets tried to influence American public opinion that CIA was behind the murder, and the incredible secret why some JFK assassination documents must remain locked up. And a whole lot more.PRAISE FOR I WAS A TEENAGE JFK CONSPIRACY FREAK“As a young man growing up in the heyday of Kennedy assassination theorizing, Fred Litwin believed a conspiracy killed JFK. And then he grew, and he studied and he researched. The result is this volume, a thorough, cogent and meticulously argued case for a lone assassin. A seasoned conspiracy skeptic will learn new things here, and a conspiracy believer open to looking at the other side could do no better than this volume.”-John McAdams, Associate Professor of Political Science at Marquette University and author of JFK Assassination Logic: How to Think about Claims of Conspiracy"This is a great book for conspiracy buffs—and, more important, for those who debunk such theories. Fred Litwin does a terrific job in blowing up the myriad JFK assassination scenarios, not least in completely demolishing The Fifth Estate’s decades-long efforts to “uncover” the truth. The CBC’s lead investigative show is revealed here to be more than slightly unhinged.”-J.L. Granatstein, Author of Who Killed Canadian History?“In Fred Litwin's marvelous book, he charts how he went from an early skeptic to someone dedicated to dissecting their arguments and carefully tearing them apart. He puts the final nail in the coffin of all the conspiracy theorists, who develop new ones as old theories are proven wrong. Everyone still concerned with JFK's death and thinks it's a mystery must read this book. They will be glad they did.”-Ronald Radosh, Professor Emeritus of History at CUNY, opinion columnist for The Daily Beast and co-author of A Safe Haven: Harry S. Truman and the Founding of Israel“Mr. Litwin’s book is the best in many, many years in dealing with the truth about this horrendous piece of history…and exposing the fakirs, cons and opportunists who often call themselves ‘historians.’ A fine presentation!”-Hugh Aynesworth, Author of November 22, 1963: Witness to History and JFK: Breaking the News See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Strength in Weakness - 08/26/18 - John McAdams by The Door
Like most private universities, Marquette University guarantees academic freedom to its faculty. John McAdams, a tenured professor who had been with the university for almost forty years, wrote a blog post about the increasing tendency on the left to regard certain points of view as “unsafe” and objects for censorship. He used an example of a graduate instructor who had told a student that the student’s opposition to same sex marriage would “come off” as “offensive” and “homophobic” and would not be tolerated. Marquette moved to fire McAdams for the post. The subsequent litigation raised questions regarding both the judicial review of university decision-making on questions of academic freedom and what the commonly-invoked principles of academic freedom mean. Earlier, this month the Wisconsin Supreme Court held that McAdams’s contractual right to academic freedom had been violated and ordered him to be reinstated to the faculty.Featuring:Mr. Rick Esenberg, Founder, President and General Counsel, Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty Teleforum calls are open to all dues paying members of the Federalist Society. McAdams tried to make it seem like he was fired for his 'unpopular' speech. In fact, he was fired for putting a student's life in danger.
On June 6, 2018, Dr. John McAdams, professor of American Politics, Public Opinion, and Voter Behavior at Marquette University, spoke at the Leadership Institute's Wednesday Wake-Up Club Breakfast. In 2014, Marquette University suspended Professor McAdams from teaching and moved to strip him of tenure after 30 years of teaching, due to his remarks about a graduate student shutting down free classroom discussion. He sued the college in 2016 and the case was heard by the Wisconsin Supreme Court this April. He continues to champion free speech on college campuses.
