Jason Lovins - Pilgrim Road -Episode 570 - Voices In My Head (The Rick Lee James Podcast) JASON LOVINS BAND CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH PILGRIM ROAD NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Celebrating two decades of music and ministry in 2025, the Jason Lovins Band is poised to commemorate the milestone year with Pilgrim Road (New Day Digital Distribution), out January 17. Featuring 11 tracks produced by the Kentucky-based group and showcasing their signature sound—a unique tapestry of gospel, country and pop influences—Pilgrim Road is hallmarked by guest appearances from bluegrass hitmakers Chosen Road and longtime NewSong frontman and acclaimed singer/songwriter Russ Lee. The title cut, a modern hymn written by Noah Baker and Jason Lovins, encapsulates the album's theme as well as the overarching mission of the Jason Lovins Band. “Not only does ‘Pilgrim Road' capture the heart of what we want to say with this record—sharing the Gospel and reflecting on the journey from Genesis to Revelation—but naming the album Pilgrim Road felt right as we look back on 20 years together and see God's faithfulness every step of the way," says Lovins. "Even after all this time, it feels like we're just getting started, and we're excited for the road ahead.” Further highlights of Pilgrim Road include the project's latest single, “Hide My Soul,” a joyful worship anthem penned by Daniel Doss, Emma Feldman, Jonathan Jackson and Jonathan Turner, along with the band's two guest collaborations: a bluesy bluegrass take on the 1890 Gospel classic “Life's Railway To Heaven” featuring Chosen Road, and the impassioned pop anthem “Constant” with vocal contributions from Russ Lee. In addition, Pilgrim Road continues the Jason Lovins Band's longstanding tradition of showcasing a Spanish-language selection on each album. “En La Cruz,” a rendition of the beloved hymn “At The Cross,” is a nod to group member Rodney Mora's heritage and serves as a poignant reminder of the Gospel's power to transcend languages and cultures. “Our pianist Rodney Mora was born and raised in Venezuela and grew up in a Christian home, which is not the norm there,” explains Lovins. “I remember the first time we sang a song together, me in English and Rodney in Spanish, it really opened my eyes to just how big God is. He has no barriers, and He understands and hears us both.” “Hymns have shaped our lives and faith, and we feel blessed to carry them forward,” Lovins adds. “I grew up surrounded by these songs that have stood the test of time and tell great stories of the faith. Hymns have a way of bridging and connecting generations, so we want to keep putting our own twist on them.” ABOUT THE JASON LOVINS BAND With a unique fusion of country, gospel and worship styles anchored in Jason Lovins' Appalachian heritage, the Jason Lovins Band has been delivering modern arrangements of sacred hymns alongside their own acclaimed originals since 2005. Lovins' personal testimony propels the band's mission and purpose, and they have released 11 full-length recordings to date, including the three-volume Songs From Sunday series and two Christmas projects. Helmed by Lovins and comprised of members Rodney Mora, Aaron Crozier and Jonathan Nicholson, the Jason Lovins Band has opened for Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Crowder and Point of Grace, among others. In addition, the group has appeared at Billy Graham Crusades and multiple Southern Baptist state conventions, and they perform at numerous churches and conferences around the country each year. Jason Lovins' life is a testament to the faithfulness of God—the only Father he has ever known. Born in Huntington, West Virginia, to a 15-year-old girl who was assaulted and impregnated by a stranger as she walked home from the community swimming pool, Lovins was raised by his mother and grandmother in a devout household of faith. As a child he traveled throughout Appalachia with his grandmother's Gospel singing group, but it was his first encounter with contemporary Christian music as a teenager that changed the trajectory of his life. Immediately captivated by the modern worship he heard at a youth group meeting, Lovins was inspired to embark on a lifelong mission of ministry-driven music. Early in his career, while performing with his college band in a local church, Lovins felt compelled to tell his birth story for the first time on stage. Deeply moved by his testimony, the church's pastor made Lovins promise he would continue to share the pivotal account each time he performed. Since that day, Lovins' testimony has been a cornerstone of the Jason Lovins Band's ministry platform. For further information, visit jasonlovins.com or turningpointpr.com. Jonathan is a board member at Tottenham. We've covered ownership, management, players, but what happens in the boardroom of football's biggest clubs? Brought in by Daniel Levy, and a lifelong fan with a background in investment and technology, Jonathan brings the breadth of experience and perspective that's increasingly valuable in football. How much of a meeting is focused on business strategy and how much is performance? How do you measure success? These are the questions we don't get an insight into and fans want to understand, and Jonathan's role at one of the biggest clubs in the country provides a fascinating insight into the behind the scenes world of football governance. On today's show, we discuss: What goes on in the boardroom: How much of the conversation in board meetings is short term performance related vs long term strategy? A balance between good business and winning on the field can be hard to find. Why? The new stadium was a major part of developing Spurs into a global football power. What opportunities have been created by having one of the best stadiums in the game? Work in the community is a major part of the club's social value. Why is this so important to teams? What makes Daniel Levy such a good businessmen and in turn operator of a football club? Tottenham's global brand Value of the Premier League to an international audience and the brands it has been able to create out of its clubs. Having an international reach puts pressure on the schedule to travel and take games to places like Australia and South Korea. It's estimated Tottenham have over 200 million fans globally. How do clubs measure this and what do they do to maximise the experience of supporting the club for all fans? Growth of the game in the US has provided incredible opportunity to add further value and audience to the League. Jonathan's role and motivations A lifelong fan with a huge passion for football, how Daniel Levy asked him to join the board and be a part of the decision making setup. How a background in investment and tech made him the perfect person to bring a new set of skills and perspectives to the board. Football clubs, much like any business today, need to think like technology companies. What does this mean? Building the right infrastructure behind the scenes is a key part of establishing success. How has the board recruited across performance and operations? We are delighted to partner with Tyndall Investment Management for this show. Quad Citizen and author, Jonathan Turner, has made a lifelong career as a writer. One of his latest works is "100 Things to do in the Quad Cities Before You Die," which is a guide book to help people navigate must-see and do activities in the Quad Cities region. The book is broken down topically, with recommendations and brief descriptions to help readers find an experience that fits their interests.Jonathan explains that the brief writing style was a challenge, as there was much more to say about each attraction. The book leads to exploration. Once a reader finds an attraction they are interested in and goes, that then opens up the possibilities for more findings in the area. #VisitQuadCities #QuadCities #GuideBook #100ThingsToDo
The Impact League, a component of the SailGP championship, completed its second season with the ROCKWOOL Denmark SailGP team as the champions. The unedifying scurry by BBC management to get Gary Lineker back on air after suspending him, diffuses both a row with its staff and kicks the can of impartiality into the long grass. A couple of tweets by the BBC's lead football presenter brought down the entire coverage of the Corporation's TV and radio sport for a weekend. Lineker compared the government's language on immigration as "not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 1930s”. He was suspended by the BBC's Director General, Tim Davie on the grounds of breaking their social media guidelines. In this special episode, we mop up the layers of unresolved issues that have fallen by the wayside in the rush to appease Gary and chums to get BBC Sport back onair. Today's guest is someone I first met almost thirty years ago. In the intervening time he has had a glittering career, most of which has been on the underwriting side of the fence with senior roles at QBE, Brit and most recently at Gallagher's Pen Underwriting MGA. But now Jonathan Turner is the CEO at Gallagher Specialty UK, he is firmly on the broking side of the box for the first time in his career. In this lively podcast we get to the heart of what is a really vigorous and fascinating market. A market which is managing to be both very hard and very competitive at the same time, depending hugely on line of business and territory. This is also a newly confident market that is in growth mode and not lacking in capital resources in any meaningful way. Gallagher was an early mover in the long wave of London Market wholesale broking consolidation, the highwater mark of which we have been seeing lately, and we discuss how this phenomenon has affected market dynamics. We also reflect on what an underwriter's experience can bring to running a broker, along with the prospects for market modernisation, not just in technology but in cultural and behavioural change too. Jon's really smart and is very straight talking throughout our encounter. As a consequence, there are an awful lot of really good things packed into a relatively short period of time. Happy New Year's Eve Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of the Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, as we say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021, I decided to cover another holiday themed bonus episode of Boy Meets World S3E10: Train Of Fools, which aired on December 15, 1995. In this episode with no mode of transportation to get to the party, the teens have no choice but to spend New Year's Eve in an abandoned subway car. I enjoyed this episode even though Eric got on my nerves, I lost count of how many times the name Rebecca Alex was said and breezed over the uninteresting side plot of Jonathan Turner and Eli and Jonathan's multiple ex-girlfriends. Honestly, I would have rather seen how Alan and Amy's night turned out especially since they had to drive Eric's junk heap car Lucille. I enjoyed Shawn's fun loving attitude after the train car stalls he makes his way to the other train cars and meets a lot of other characters from a pregnant lady to some religious school girls. I got so fed up with Eric's attitude and felt Rebecca Alexa was better off leaving him since all Eric wanted was to show her off at a party as arm candy. Cory turned his frown upside down and kicked off a banging par-tay in their train car and gets his New Year's Eve kiss with Topanga who honestly stayed the most leveled headed of the gang this episode. Feeny makes an appearance in the beginning and the end of the episode as he leaves for Bermuda and begs the guys (Cory and Shawn) for cab fare (since he only has traveler's checks)and then again once he returns has to ask for money to pay the cab fare because he has non American currency. Fun episode and lots of laughs. Hope you all have a great New Year's Eve and I'll see you in 2021 with more BMW Podcast Episodes to come.

Alan and Bryan dig into the good men of the 90's and how they helped the kids our age in those shows grow up. Is Carl Winslow the greatest TV Dad of all time? He's definitely a 1-seed if we make a bracket. He had a hand in raising : Eddie, Laura, Judy, Steve, Little Richie, & 3J! Uncle Phil used his intimidator powers for good and raise a wild East Coast nephew into a respectable young man. He also helped his family accept him, too. Uncle Jesse and don't call him Uncle Joey helped Danny Tanner with Michelle, Stephanie, & DJ. Frank Lambert brought his 3 kids and mashed them with Carol Fosters family because he was so committed to his love for her. Maybe they will make it better the second time around. Jonathan Turner was a guy who you liked but watched him long enough to become a hero. Him stepping up for Shawn was clutch when the Matthews family couldn't handle the juvenile. Quick, name the only four ways to be wealthy. You can't? You'll learn in this episode as Jonathan Turner talks finances with The Spaniard. Jonathan is a wealth management expert who energetically differentiates himself from those he considers scam artists—you may have seen one or two or a dozen in videos on your digital screens, trying to vacuum up your cash. Jonathan made a point of going a non-video route with his first book “Stop Faking It, Start Making It: Millennial's Guide to Real Wealth Creation”. You'll hear about its twisty-turns path to completion. The guys also talk cars. JT is all about wheels, and you'll hear how a Dodge Viper played a role in bringing together these two tycoons on their way up. Clarice Jensen, the composer, cellist, and Artistic Director with the Brooklyn-based ACME — that’s the American Contemporary Music Ensemble — has a new cassette release out via Geographic North, titled Drone Studies. The two pieces that make up this release, titled “The Organ that Made You Bleed” and “One Bee” show off an improvisational and naturally expressive tonal exploration that veers away from the compositional works she’s created with ACME, and via collaborations with artists such as Jóhann Jóhannsson, Max Richter, A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Dustin O’halloran, Stars of the Lid, and more. Host Chad Radford met up with Jensen and Jonathan Turner at Knoxville, Tennessee’s Big Ears festival in March of 2019, where they discussed these two side-long pieces and their relationship to her body of work.
