A prank call to Sanders by Jeff Ulbrich's son was revealed via livestream. The show also covered the Knicks' playoff lead, NBA updates, Manning reaching out to Dart, and the excitement of Giants pick Skattebo. Milroe had a message for non-drafting teams, and Kiper discussed falling quarterbacks. Other news included the Yankees' doubleheader sweep, the passing of Knicks legend Dick Barnett, and a comparison of Sanders to Manziel. Hour 3 Abdul Carter wanted retired numbers (#11, #56), but LT told the unproven rookie to earn his own. Fitzpatrick advised Zach Wilson against #0 for credibility. Jerry's final update covered the Yankees' controversial Aaron Judge home run call, the Mets' sweep of the Cardinals with Juan Soto's positive fan reception, and Francisco Lindor's observation of increased fan attendance. We talked Giants/Eagles and Boomer said this should be a tight game well into the fourth quarter. Gio thinks if the Giants can score 24 points, they can win the game. Gio is feeling a 24-20 Giants win. Boomer said the Eagles defense only has 2 turnovers, the lowest in the NFL. If the Giants can keep that going they can win this game. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the TBS TV call of the Judge HR that tied the game at 3. And then Stanton went back to back. We also heard the TBS call when Noel tied the game in the ninth with a HR and Fry homered for the win. We heard from Mets radio as Mookie Betts had a 2-run double and a HR. Carlos Mendoza talked about the Dodger lineup. The Broncos went into New Orleans and had no problem beating the Saints. Saquon Barkley returns to MetLife and Jerry wonders how he'll be received. In the final segment of the hour, it looks like Russell Wilson will start for the Steelers Sunday night against the Jets. Ben Roethlisberger doesn't like that idea and supposedly the guys in the locker room want Justin Fields as well. No matter where he goes, Russell Wilson doesn't seem to be popular in the locker room. Gio called him a douche and impossible to like. Gio said Aaron Rodgers is one hit away from getting hit and going back to Costa Rica. Especially against the Steelers defense.

Hour 1 The Mets are on the brink of elimination. The Yankees lost last night in walk off fashion. Boomer talked about the importance of the bullpen in both of these series. It feels like the magic has run out for the Mets. Gio is going to the Mets game tonight. Gio doesn't think last night's win is going to ‘catapult' the Guardians. He thinks the Yankees win in five. The Dodgers have seemed to figure out Francisco Lindor. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Judge and Stanton going back to back to make it 4-3 Yankees with John Sterling on the call. Then the Guardians came back to tie it in the ninth and win it in the tenth and we heard the call from Guardians radio. We heard from Howie Rose as Mookie Betts hit a 2-run HR as the Dodgers are now up 3-1 on the Mets. The Broncos went into New Orleans and had no problem beating the Saints. In the final segment of the hour, Max Muncy is always on base for the Dodgers. Their relief pitching has been better and their top end stars have shown up for this series and the Mets' top end stars have not. Hour 2 Jerry Recco is in studio because a talk show host in Cleveland, Ken Carman, is annoying him on Twitter. He must listen to the Warm Up Show on his way to work in Cleveland and has an issue with a few of the things Jerry said about the Guardians. Jerry put him in his place. Jerry returns for an update and we hear the Cleveland radio call as Judge and Stanton went back to back. Cleveland came back with homers by Noel in the ninth and Fry in the 10th and we heard John Sterling on the call. We heard from Howie Rose as Ohtani hit a lead off HR last night in Queens. Mets players are staying positive as we heard some post game sound from Lindor and Alonso. The Broncos went into New Orleans and dominated the Saints. Evan Neal was asked about not playing as the Giants are now dealing with the injury to Andrew Thomas. Davante Adams said he's not feeling any pressure coming to the Jets. In the final segment of the hour, tonight's Mets game is at 5:08pm and Gio is imploring fans to get there early and get into it. The Mets have not given the fans anything to cheer for. Twice last night with the bases loaded and they came away with nothing. In tonight's Yankees/Guardians matchup, you have two starters that haven't pitched since September. Hour 3 We talked Giants/Eagles and Boomer said this should be a tight game well into the fourth quarter. Gio thinks if the Giants can score 24 points, they can win the game. Gio is feeling a 24-20 Giants win. Boomer said the Eagles defense only has 2 turnovers, the lowest in the NFL. If the Giants can keep that going they can win this game. Gio called him a douche and impossible to like. Gio said Aaron Rodgers is one hit away from getting hit and going back to Costa Rica. Especially against the Steelers defense. Hour 4 Glass half full: We need one more magical night from the Mets at Citi Field. David Peterson is on the mound tonight so we should be thinking positively. Glass half empty: the Mets can't score on the Dodgers pitching. Boomer said the Mets lost the confidence or whatever they had the last two games. Pitchers ...

Jerry returned for an update and said, ‘on the scale of miserable around here, I don't even register'. Jerry has all the sounds from last night's Rangers loss in game 1. The Yankees beat the Mariners thanks to a HR by Aaron Judge and 2 homeruns from Juan Soto. In the final segment of the hour, Gio is surprised at how well Kyrie Irving has performed with the Mavericks. The Warriors, long committed to social issues far beyond basketball, celebrated their fourth championship in eight years. Griner is awaiting a hearing in Russia later this month for her appeal of a nine-year prison sentence for drug possession. NFL – Colts owner Irsay says there’s "merit to remove" Snyder Colts owner Jim Irsay says there’s “merit to remove” Dan Snyder as owner of the Washington Commanders. Irsay is the first NFL owner to publicly state that his controversial counterpart should go. Snyder’s status has been widely debated for years amid several scandals and investigations into workplace conduct in Washington. The league has been investigating allegations of sexual misconduct and financial impropriety, a probe conducted by attorney Mary Jo White that is ongoing. Removing Snyder would requires 24 votes from the other owners. NFL – NFL says it’s not backing down on protecting quarterbacks The NFL isn’t backing down on protecting quarterbacks. League executive Troy Vincent said there was a healthy and spirited conversation with owners about roughing-the-passer penalties at the league’s fall meeting. A pair of disputed roughing penalties in Week 5 frustrated defensive players and had players, coaches and fans questioning what constitutes a legal hit. NFL competition committee chairman Rich McKay said the conversation on making roughing-the-passer calls reviewable lasted about 30 seconds and needs more discussion. NFL – Prime Video will add Black Friday game to NFL package in ’23 The NFL has announced that Amazon Prime Video will stream a game on Black Friday beginning next season. The game will take place on Nov. 24, 2023, and will kick off at 3 p.m. ET. The teams will be announced in early May when the regular-season schedule is expected to be released. Prime Video is in its first season as the exclusive carrier of “Thursday Night Football” and will expand to 16 games next season. The package goes through the 2033 season. NFL – Bears waive backup receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette The Chicago Bears have waived receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette. Smith-Marsette got his first significant playing time in the offense in Chicago’s 29-22 loss at Minnesota two weeks ago and committed two costly mistakes. He had the ball taken away from behind by Cameron Dantzler at the Vikings 39 following a reception on the Bears’ final drive to decide the game. He also got flagged for an illegal block from behind on a 52-yard scramble by quarterback Justin Fields, negating a TD.   NHL – Bettman: NHL salary cap may get nice bump for ’23-24 season The NHL salary cap could be going up more than expected sooner than expected. Commissioner Gary Bettman says there’s a chance players could be finished paying off what they owe owners from pandemic revenue losses as soon as this season. That would mean the cap going up $4 million or more next summer after being mostly flat for several years. Bettman expects the players’ debt to certainly be paid off next season, allowing for a significant cap increase going into 2023-24. The cap has only gone up $1 million to $82.5 million since the pandemic began.  NHL – NHL, its workforce 84% white, sets baseline to up diversity The NHL for the first time has done an internal demographic study of its staff and all 32 teams. The results suggest hockey has a lot of work to do to increase diversity. It found that 83.6% of the NHL’s workforce is white and that men make up nearly 62% of the total. That mirrors the situation on the ice. More than 90% of players and nearly all coaches and officials are white. NHL executive Kim Davis called the study a good start and a baseline from which the league can improve. NCAAFB – Big Ten – Ohio State, Michigan making Big Ten look like Big Two Ohio State and Michigan are making the Big Ten look like the Big Two, rekindling memories or some of Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler turning the chase for a conference championship into a two-team race. The second-ranked Buckeyes and fourth-ranked Wolverines are the Big Ten’s only undefeated teams. No other team in the conference is ranked among the top 15. Penn State can potentially be a factor in the because it hosts Ohio State on Oct. 29. The 16th-ranked Nittany Lions will have to play much better than they did while getting pummeled at Michigan. NCAAWBKB – South Carolina women unanimous No. 1 in preseason AP Top 25 South Carolina is the unanimous No. 1 team in the preseason AP Top 25 women’s basketball poll. The defending national champions went wire-to-wire as the No. 1 team last year and have been the top team for 20 straight weeks. Stanford, Texas, Iowa and Tennessee round out the top five. UConn is sixth, the first time since 2006 that the Huskies aren’t in the first five in the preseason poll. Louisville, Iowa State, Notre Dame and N.C. State is the rest of the top 10. NASCAR – NASCAR suspends Bubba Wallace 1 race for Las Vegas crash NASCAR has suspended driver Bubba Wallace for one race following his fracas at Las Vegas Motor Speedway over the weekend. NASCAR determined that Wallace deliberately spun reigning champion Kyle Larson in a dangerous move of retaliation. Wallace will miss Sunday’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Golf – PGA – Elevated events show a divide among PGA Tour events for ’23 A person with direct knowledge of the plans says the PGA Tour is announcing that four tournaments will have elevated status and $20 million purses next year. The four additions are the WM Phoenix Open, the RBC Heritage at Hilton Head, the Wells Fargo Championship and the Travelers Championship. That leads to an incredibly crowded schedule. Texas-born Jordan Spieth figures to play five straight weeks in May and seven out of eight weeks. And that includes two majors. Two of the events are the week after a major. The cap has only gone up $1 million to $82.5 million since the pandemic began.  NHL – NHL, its workforce 84% white, sets baseline to up diversity The NHL for the first time has done an internal demographic study of its staff and all 32 teams. MLB – Major League Baseball Playoffs Last Night ALDS – Best of 5 New York Yankees 5, Cleveland Guardians 1                              (NYY wins 3-2) Yankees 5, Guardians 1 – Stanton, Judge HR, Yankees beat Guards, into ALCS vs Astros Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge staggered Cleveland with early homers, and the New York Yankees rocked past the Guardians 5-1 in the decisive Game 5 of their AL Division Series to set up another rematch with Houston for the pennant. Yankees manager Aaron Boone won his gamble by starting Nestor Cortes on three days’ rest over Jameson Taillon, making the late switch after Monday night’s rainout. Cleveland starter Aaron Civale struggled. With two on and two outs in the ninth and ace Gerrit Cole warming up in case, Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres stepped on the bag to end it, then mimicked rocking a baby with the ball — a jab at Guardians slugger Josh Naylor, who made the motion rounding the bases after a homer off Cole in Game 4. NLCS – Best of 7 Philadelphia Phillies 2, San Diego Padres 0                                       (PHI leads 1-0) Phillies 2, Padres 0 – Harper, Schwarber HR as Wheeler, Phils top Pads to open NLCS Bryce Harper homered again, Kyle Schwarber hit a jaw-dropping, 488-foot drive and Zack Wheeler was brilliant in throwing one-hit ball for seven innings to lead the Philadelphia Phillies over the San Diego Padres 2-0 in the opening game of the all-wild card NL Championship Series. Wheeler and two relievers combined on a one-hitter for the Phillies, who will try to take a 2-0 lead when they send Aaron Nola to mound to oppose Blake Snell on Wednesday afternoon. Harper homered in his third straight playoff game. Malcolm Brogdon added 16 points and Grant Williams finished with 15 as the defending Eastern Conference champions gave interim coach Joe Mazzulla a victory in his debut. James Harden had 35 points — his most since joining the 76ers last season — including 12 of 12 from the free throw line. He also had five 3s. Joel Embiid added 26 points and 15 rebounds. Tyrese Maxey finished with 21 points. Warriors 123, Lakers 109 – Stephen Curry, Warriors celebrate championship, beat Lakers Stephen Curry opened the season with 33 points, seven assists and six rebounds, and the Golden State Warriors beat LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers 123-109 after receiving their championship rings in a pregame ceremony. Jordan Poole made a pretty bounce pass assist to a driving Draymond Green for a layup and all seemed perfectly well with the defending champions almost two weeks after Green punched Poole at practice Oct. 5 then took a brief leave of absence from the team to work on his emotions. Poole wound up with 12 points and seven assists. Jerry is here for his first update and has John Sterling's call of Judge's 61st HR. We also have post game sound from Aaron Judge talking about his Mom and the Maris family. We also have sound from Howie Rose and Eduardo Escobar's huge night: 5 RBIs including the walk off. The Mets lead the NL East by 1 game as the Nationals beat the Braves in extras last night. Week 4 of the NFL kicks off with the Dolphins in Cincinnati. Zach Wilson will start Sunday in Pittsburgh and he says he feels great. The Chiefs/Bucs play Sunday night in Tampa. If the damage is too significant, the game will be played in Minnesota. Brett Favre has major problems and is most likely going to jail. In the final segment of the hour, we talk about Judge's HR. It was not caught, though it was very close. It landed in the Blue Jays bullpen.  Hour 2: The Dolphins play in Cincinnati tonight and Boomer says we will see what football is supposed to look like. We get back into Aaron Judge and the fans keeping or giving back the balls they caught. Friday's game will also be on YES. It was originally just going to be on Amazon. Jerry returns for an update and has Sterling, Kay and Blue Jays TV on the call for Judge's 61st HR. We also hear from Aaron Judge himself. Eduardo Escobar did it all for the Mets last night. Had the walk off hit in the 10th and all 5 RBIs in the game. The Mets are in Atlanta starting tomorrow night holding a 1 game lead. Mike McDaniel talks about Joe Burrow. Rob Saleh says Zach Wilson is 100% and will start in Pittsburgh. We also talk about reasons why Chiefs/Bucs might not be able to be played in Tampa Sunday night. Jerry also has audio from Hurricane coverage in Florida. Bill Belichick says Mac Jones is ‘day by day'...over and over again. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Coolio passing away at the age of 59. They think it was a heart attack. Gio reads a tweet from Coolio's friend which involves the phrase ‘meat sauce'. The Mets need Starling Marte back. It's been 3 weeks and he's not coming back for the Braves series. Gio says they need Marte to win. We also talked about Zach Wilson starting this Sunday in Pittsburgh.  Hour 3: The Mets and Braves get underway in Atlanta tomorrow and people seem to be confused on how many games the Mets need to win in order to clinch the East. Hour 1: Gio is on vacation this week so it's Boomer & Jerry. They started with the Yankees 1-0 win over the Royals thanks to an Aaron Judge walk off HR. Boomer says Brian Cashman needs to make a move because winning the World Series is the only goal now. Boomer says they need Juan Soto and Jerry insists that's not happening. They also talk about Jerry's tooth falling out. It was actually a temporary cap. With Jerry filling in for Gio this week, C-Lo has the updates and starts with Aaron Judge hitting a walk off HR to beat the Royals 1-0. The Yankees had no other offense other than that HR. Andrew Benintendi played his first game for the Yankees last night. Trey Mancini hit an inside the park HR after it hit the outfielder in his face. Kyler Murray held a press conference to say it's disrespectful to think he doesn't prepare for games. After that, the Cardinals removed the homework clause. In the final segment of the hour, a caller says bars never play Yankees games when they are on Amazon or Apple. There are still rumors out there that Ohtani is on the trading block. The Houston Astros are very interested in Josh Bell.  Hour 2: The 7am hour starts with talk of Daniel Jones and the Giants. If things don't go well, would Kyler Murray be a fit here? A caller says Kyler Murray's teammates don't even help pick him up after he gets hit. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the Yankees beating the Royals on a walk off Aaron Judge HR. Andrew Benintendi played last night for the Yankees but didn't do anything. But he will end up shifting Judge to right field. In the final segment of the hour, we talk about Boomer's upcoming trip to Nova Scotia to play golf.  Hour 3: The 8am hour opens with the Yankees win against the Royals last night. Even though they won, Boomer did not like the malaise he watched. Jerry says Saquon Barkley is going to have a huge season for the Giants. C-Lo returns for another update and starts with the Yankees beating the Royals on a walk off Judge HR, 1-0. Shohei Ohtani is supposedly on the trading block. In the final segment of the hour, we wonder what Ohtani would get on the open market considering he's a dominating hitter and a dominating pitcher. A caller says Benintendi is a cry baby and not fit for NY.  Hour 4: The 9am hour starts with talk of a potential Deshaun Watson suspension coming down today. Makes sense for them to do it on a Friday. C-Lo returns for an update and Boomer says there's a weight clause in Zion Williamson's new contract. The Yankees beat the Royals 1-0 on an Aaron Judge walk off. They only had one hit before that. Benintendi says he's open to the Covid vaccine but nobody has talked to him about it yet. In the final segment of the week, a couple of callers and Jerry simply wants to talk about pizza.
