In this episode, host Carry Kim welcomes back Didi Pershouse [https://didipershouse.substack.com/], an esteemed Author, teacher, and Founder of Land and Leadership Initiative, to discuss the ecology of care, the global financialization of Nature, and the essential choice between sterility and fertility for planetary health. Nature is being financialized on our watch; water futures can now be traded as a commodity and Natural Asset Companies may eventually become an asset class on the NY Stock Exchange which would promote speculation and trading of the value of ecosystem “services” in forests, farms and other lands. Carbon offsets and compensation programs can be unethical, ineffective and driven by profit motives under the guise of saving and protecting Nature. While the times appear bleak, an undercurrent of regeneration and burgeoning local movements to restore fertility upon the Earth continue to emerge. Through harnessing our collective will, collaboration and community building, we can restore our sacred interdependence with all life and regenerate the soil, water cycle, our food systems and ourselves. Before us lies a golden opportunity for change from the roots up. International educator Didi Pershouse joins us today to ponder how we might honor fertility over sterility, cultivate an enduring commons of care and dream of the great possibilities before us. It's not every day that the American people secure a victory over the combined legions of radical environmentalists, monied interests of Wall Street, and enemies foreign and domestic in places like the Chinese Communist Party and the Biden administration. But yesterday was one of those rare – and much-needed – wins. Faced with opposition from an aroused public and a growing number of patriotic public servants, including 23 state treasurers and 25 attorneys general, the New York Stock Exchange withdrew its proposed Securities and Exchange Commission rule allowing so-called “Natural Asset Companies.” We have thus been spared – at least for the time being – a massive American sell-off and sell-out involving U.S. public and some private lands. We have also seen a formula for working and succeeding at the state level when the federal government is betraying its sworn duty and our vital interests. This is Frank Gaffney.

Tomorrow, the Securities and Exchange Commission will stop taking comments on a proposed “rule” allowing so-called “Natural Asset Companies” to raise funds to preclude the productive use of U.S. public and some private lands, water and even air. This stealthy effort to impose a radical environmental agenda must be strongly repudiated immediately. One reason is NACs can be owned by foreign powers – like the Chinese Communist Party – strategically motivated to lock up our natural resources. That's especially so if, as the then-Chinese Defense Minister declared two decades ago, the PRC leadership plans to use biological weapons to depopulate the United States so that it can be colonized by the Chinese. A further incentive would be if we have left untapped vast quantities of oil, gas, minerals and timber. Please express your opposition to this dangerous NAC sell-off, and sell-out, today at SovereigntyCoalition.org. This is Frank Gaffney.

Wyoming will be one of the central targets of Natural Asset Companies. Yellowstone, Grand Teton, the Bighorns and our high plains desert will all be subject to the control of private companies or foreign governments if the new SEC rule goes through. Sounds crazy but as U.S. Rep Harriet Hageman explains it could be a terrifying reality.
On September 27, 2023, the New York Stock Exchange and the Intrinsic Exchange Group submitted a proposal to the Securities and Exchange Commission to create a new type of company called a “Natural Asset Company”, or “NAC” whose primary purpose would be to manage and grow so-called “ecosystem services” on land throughout the United States. NACs would be empowered to manage every type of property: federal, state, and private land, including conservation easements to maximize their so-called “ecological value.” Critically, what they are not allowed to do is anything considered “unsustainable” including: mining, agriculture that uses traditional fertilizers and machinery, managing timberlands, grazing, hunting, and most every type of recreational activity. Instead of maximizing traditional economic value, NACs would put this land off limits from any productive purpose involving oil, gas, coal, yellowcake production, lithium mining and processing, steelmaking and anything else essential to national defense that produces CO2, which is their definition of sustainability. In other words, everything that makes land valuable to ordinary human beings and to America's national security. The goal is to create not only a new kind of company, but also a new asset class that could attract billion of investment dollars, including from global sovereign wealth funds from, say China, Russia, or other nations. (What better way for a foreign adversary to cripple the United States than through locking up America's natural resources without a fight?) The greed factor is also front and center in this proposal. By some estimates, trading markets in “natural assets” could reach $100 to $150 trillion with market makers like Black Rock, Goldman Sachs, and big green energy utilities like NextEra, in the thick of the action. If these numbers seem fantastic, consider this new math. Today the value of our existing real economic land assets is estimated to be about $1.5 quadrillion dollars globally. Proponents of these new Natural Assets claim the value of “ecosystem services” to be $5 quadrillion dollars. The problem with this estimate is that you can't get there using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles which measures basic cash flows to describe value and net present value. Instead, it is based on a new accounting system called SEEA EA, invented out of whole cloth by the United Nations, which claim to be able put a monetary value on the ability of NACs to block others from putting land to productive uses. There are massive problems with this accounting system. There are massive problems with this whole Scheme. The SEC and the New York Stock Exchange must know this. To avoid scrutiny and opposition, they have put it on an unprecedented fast track for approval. To read the filings, it looks intentionally confusing, and intentionally made to make it difficult to weigh in on. The Intrinsic Exchange Group is partly owned by the New York Stock Exchange and is backed by the Rockefeller Foundation. But one thing is clear: it's their desire to permanently embed the mechanism and monetary values for the disuse of federal lands, easement properties and ultimately private properties in our federal securities laws. Joining me to unpack this proposal and its underlying agenda, is Margaret Byfield, the Executive Director of American Stewards of Liberty, a non-profit organization working to protect private property rights and the liberties they secure. It's going to be very important to take direct action, make comments, reach out to your lawmakers and try to stop NACs from becoming a reality.
Today, Doug Pike interviews Dr. Charles Maddow about emergency medicine. Pike also speaks with Kevin Stockin about natural asset companies.
The clock is literally ticking, and your urgent action is needed to avert an economic disaster. Today we are alerting you about a very serious national security issue, and it is happening on Wall Street. Recently the New York Stock Exchange went to the SEC and basically said, "Hey, we want to change all of the history and all of the rules that we've had in this nation for 200-plus years. And really, from the very beginning of the definition of what a corporation is, we want to change it so we can financialize nature and make a little profit off what trees do and what grass does and things like that." This is a total scam, but it's being foisted upon us by the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, Wall Street, and our government. Frank Gaffney joins Kevin Freeman to explain what the SEC, NYSE, and IEG are doing to take over our land, water, and air. There is a very small window for action.
Global elites trying to monetize the air we breathe and control food production? Are we kidding? We wish we were, but plans for Natural Asset Companies are in motion, potentially leading to the largest property rights violation in American history. Rarely is a major problem with profound implications correctible with a single action, especially in the near-term. One such problem, however, is at hand in the form of a radical environmental proposal being stealthily advanced that would have the effect of permanently removing public lands, water and even air from productive use – and endanger private property rights, as well. Rabid globalists – including the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, the Chinese Communist Party and, of course, the Biden Administration – want to create and weaponize so-called “Natural Asset Companies” to restrict U.S. food production, and the exploitation of minerals, energy resources and timber, all ostensibly to mitigate “climate change.” Fortunately, we can stop this devastating, unconstitutional initiative by opposing before January 18th a proposed “rule” the politicized Securities and Exchange Commission is poised to approve. Join us in doing so at SovereigntyCoalition.org. This is Frank Gaffney.
Utah State Treasurer Marlo Oaks joins us in this episode to discuss the SEC's proposal to allow the New York Stock Exchange to create Natural Asset Companies. Natural Asset Companies would be a new form of corporation designed to securitize and privatize nature - including our public lands. You can read Treasurer Oaks' opinion editorial in the Wall Street Journal about this topic here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/biden-administration-invents-companies-that-cant-make-money-ad71f8f3 You can read BlueRibbon Coalition's briefing on this topic here: https://www.sharetrails.org/oppose-the-sell-off-of-our-public-lands-and-national-parks-to-wall-street/
If you watch one thing this long holiday weekend, make it a must-see video that can equip you to help save our country next year. It's a kind of real-life horror-show. The six protagonists reveal a sneak attack now actually underway on this nation by a combination of radical federal officials, seditious financial interests, the United Nations and other mortal enemies, including the Chinese Communist Party. What makes this video compelling and required viewing is that its ending remains undetermined. Will these forces get away with fundamentally transforming America by selling off, and selling out, her public lands, water and even air – and endangering your personal property rights, as well? Do more than entertain yourself this weekend. Do your civic duty by tuning into yesterday's shocking webinar about Natural Asset Companies at PresentDangerChina.org, then join us in writing its ending at SovereigntyCoalition.org. This is Frank Gaffney.
More and more Americans are rightly alarmed at the growing presence of enemies within our country. One symptom is the purchase of farmland and other real estate here by Communist China. Many state legislatures are trying to stop it. Unfortunately, as a Committee on the Present Danger: China webinar last week made clear, the Biden administration is working secretly to foster the CCP's agricultural penetration, not shut it down. And it's found a devious way to advance that agenda by selling U.S. public lands to so-called “Natural Asset Companies” owned by Chinese or other problematic investors. Today at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, our Committee will expose this scheme with several leading opponents, including Utah State Treasurer Marlo Oaks. Join us at PresentDangerChina.org, then help stop this effort to sell off – and sell out – America at SovereigntyCoalition.org. This is Frank Gaffney.
In recent years, assorted totalitarians have come up with various techniques to destroy our freedoms and security without our permission. For example, the Chinese Communist Party and its friends engineered “the China model” of lockdowns and forced jabs in response to Beijing's COVID biowarfare attack. They want to empower the World Health Organization to do worse in the future. They have also weaponized so-called “ESG” using the power of Wall Street firms like BlackRock to coerce businesses and their investors into going along with subversive racial, environmental and foreign investment agendas. Now, such forces are poised to engineer the sell-off of U.S. public lands, waters and even air to “Natural Asset Companies” restricting the productive use of such resources – and perhaps those of private ones, as well. See a pattern here? Stop these totalitarians, or they will enslave us all. This is Frank Gaffney.
There seems to be no limit to the damage the Obama-Biden 3.0 administration is prepared to do to the United States of America. Now, out of nowhere, its determination to “fundamentally transform” the country via radical environmentalism is poised literally to sell us out. The Securities and Exchange Commission has given until January 2nd to comment on a proposed rule that would allow the creation of so-called “Natural Asset Companies.” The U.S. government could profit massively by selling off public land, water and even air to these entities and their investors – including foreign ones, like Communist China. These NACs are then supposed to “protect” such natural resources by denying their use for any productive purpose. Private property owners could effectively be compelled to do the same. Talk about a “global reset.” The question is: Will we let them get away with it? This is Frank Gaffney.
