This week the I am reading from Nicole Strickland's book 'The Afterlife Chronicles: Exploring the Connection Between Life, Death and Beyond' and Mike Damante's book 'Above the Fold and the Fringe: How UAPs Became Mainstream News'. NicoleWhat happens to us when we die? Does the human soul survive death? How can we communicate with loved ones in the spirit world? Are those residing beyond the veil in some faraway land or are they close by and within our reach? These are age-old questions permeating our collective consciousness. These queries not only entice humanity to understand the hereafter but also to connect with those dwelling within it.We're in a time of transition where individuals are embracing the notion of life after death. Each of the topics and stories presented in The Afterlife Chronicles, harmoniously unite as a gateway to the connective bridge between mortality and the afterlife. Crafted by highly respected afterlife and paranormal researcher Nicole Strickland, this heartfelt book reads like a love letter to the hereafter and provides the motivation, purpose, and know-how to further understand the profound relationship between both worlds. In this book, you'll read about:• Recognizing the signs of and reasons why the spirit world reaches out to the living and vice versa• The afterlife according to various cultures• The influence of the Spiritualist movement on modern-day spirit communication and paranormal research• The role of intuition and mind/body/spirit in connecting with the afterlife• Examining the profound connectedness between the living and spirit worlds• Near-death experiences and the keys to understanding life after death• Theories on the survival of human consciousness after death• Common misconceptions of the afterlife• Traditional and alternative methods to communicate with the spirit world• The power of spirit guides in fostering the connection between mortality and the afterlife• How moving through grief and loss can help you further connect with departed loved onesFinally, the many contributors who opted to share their accounts and stories with the spirit world and beyond will further entice you to learn more about the deeply interwoven union between mortality and those across the veil on the other side.Perhaps, you've had a heartfelt experience with a loved one in the afterlife and don't know where to turn. Look no further as The Afterlife Chronicles will encourage you to openly share your story and in turn, will motivate others to share theirs. Similar to a domino effect, more people will become aware of and learn more about the beautiful rapport between both worlds. If you're curious about the enigmatic wonders of the afterlife, you'll be enchanted by The Afterlife Chronicles: Exploring the Connection between Life, Death, and Beyond.Beyond, where physical death is not an end, but a beginning.BioNicole Strickland is a well-respected afterlife & paranormal researcher, author, podcaster, and speaker from San Diego, California. Fishing along the banks of the Cape Fear River with three co-workers and his teenage son, he walks away from the group and cries out to God in a desperate prayer for help. Suddenly, a UFO appears and saves his life and cures him of his illness. Experiencing four hours of missing time, he returns to his group to find them dismayed. Terrified, they run for their lives as several UFOs chase them home. This is the true story of hope, love, lies and deception, involving officials from the U.S. Government, CIA, NASA, a string of professors, and MUFON.Prepare to go on a spiritual journey of awakening and transformation with a visit from the Lady, remote viewing, assassination plot of the Pope, dripping orbs, a burning tree, the Monroe Institute, and healing the son of an elite Washington DC power broker with ties to the IC and the White House. 15 years on, the phenomena still visits the Bledsoe family and affects the lives of people who come in contact with them. To outsiders this can be seen as evil, but those who are willing to be open and accept it, it is a blessing. Are the events that are playing out around the world controlled and shaped by the Phenomena? The U.S. Government says UFOs are real. And millions of people believe GOD is real. So what do we do about UFOs and GOD? Mark 10:27 says, "All things are possible with God." So, UFOs must be interrelated with GOD if holding the scriptures to be true. It would be impossible to have one without the other.BioChris is a UFO experiencer and a strong believer in God. His life, now that his children are grown, is centered around telling his story and understanding why his experiences are increasing. He is passionate about keeping an open mind and engaging those who question who we are and why we are here. Most importantly he's working to understand the consciousness connection with UFOs and how it impacts his faith. Like most of us, he is driven to know the answer to the age-old question, "Are we alone?" There is an old saying that “if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all”. The quote is from Charles Caleb Colton, an eccentric English writer. However, it is best known from Thumper, the fictional rabbit character from Disney's animated Bambi films. Does the saying sound reasonable to you? It might make sense at first. After all, shouldn't we be nice? And shouldn't nice people only say nice things? In this episode, you'll discover: ✔️ 3 reasons why this quote that children learn is dangerous. This weeks emotion is happy. Who controls yours?
This week's episode was supposed to be an introduction to our new intern Megan. Naturally, I messed up the recording and was so lucky I could guilt my brother Scott to be my guest. He was not prepared for the questions that I asked, which turned into an insightful conversation. I first discuss group photos and how to look good in them and proper etiquette on posting across social media channels. We talk about giving off positive energy and how a smile is an easy way of just looking good and happy. We then dive deeper into the emotional side of FOMO and when it is and is not appropriate to post pictures that could offend loved ones. Lastly, Scott defines the phenomena that I am explaining as “flex culture” He uses his own personal stories as examples of being a young guy in the flashy Miami scene. [9:00] If you just smile you are giving off happy energy [14:39] Do you go out of your way not to post to not offend anyone? Or do you just do it because you are living your life?[17:00] Our parents really beat into us if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all [23:58] If I don't turn these things into motivation I'm going to consume myself and not be happy Connect with Scott:https://scottlawrenceporter.com/https://www.instagram.com/scottlawrenceporter/

This week we interview author Mike Damante and talk his newest book- Punk Rock and UFOs: Stranger Than Fiction. Is there a connection between Punk Rock and UFOs? Is there a connection between organized religion and Bad Religion (still love 21st Century Digital Boy)? And is a band actually a band if there are no members of the band in the band? We go deep this week. Plus, the fellas discuss their favorite songs for space exploration, Conspiracy Bot digs into Brent’s old CD collection (yikes), and we play some more tunes from Majungas. All of that and more on the podcast who’s hosts read a lot of books, but the same cant be said for the head researcher– Hysteria 51.Guest Bio: Mike Damante is the author of the non-fiction trilogy of the paranormal “Punk rock and UFOs” series “Punk rock and UFOs: Stranger Than Fiction," “Punk rock and UFOs: True Believers" and "Punk Rock and UFOs: Cryptozoology Meets Anarchy." In 2019 he released his first YA fiction novel “Pumpkin Spice and Nothing Nice.” Damante worked for the Houston Chronicle as a copy editor, writer, reporter and web producer. He currently produces their "MIKED" music blog and has interviewed bands and musicians like Bad Religion, blink-182, Taking Back Sunday, Tom DeLonge, Tegan and Sara, Aerosmith, B.o.B and countless others. He is an award-winning educator, and teaches Journalism, English and Creative Writing in Houston, Texas.Special thanks to this week’s research sources:Research Assistant - Raymond Walden IVBooksPunk Rock and UFOs: Stranger Than Fiction | Mike DamantePunk Rock and UFOs: True Believers | Mike DamantePunk Rock and UFOs: Cryptozoology Meets Anarchy | Damante Mike and Cetina AlexPumpkin Spice and Nothing Nice | Mike DamanteWebsitesHeavy Metal - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_Metal_(film)Punk Rock And UFOS - https://www.punkrockandufos.com/And Huge thanks to Majungas for our music this week! You can follow them at:https://www.majungas.com/https://www.instagram.com/majungasthebandhttps://twitter.com/Majungasthebandhttps://www.facebook.com/majungas https://open.spotify.com/album/065UKiYTMYq7xRiEEWP1zI https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEZ_hGGpKDpgF7dY6qy4uvQFind More Great PodcastsForthHand Media - http://forthhand.com/shows/

Episode 158: This week, we’re talking about gossip — or, at least, fielding a listener question (Thanks Julie!) about what to do when a friend talks sh!t about others as soon as they leave the room. Do you have an obligation to tell them what’s being said? The conversation quickly moves to another listener question (Thanks Hal!) on whether you should tell people that you’re not all that good at keeping secrets. What’s the fun in that? We then round out the night with some secrets we’ve been keeping, namely, “What’s the worst thing you’ve heard about the other hosts?” Don’t let the Minnesota accents fool ya! If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all. Many of us have trouble being nice to ourselves. We are very tough on ourselves and need to be able to love ourselves and embrace the greatness within. Be positive and see positive.
It’s Aldo’s birthday, so Team NICE is in town to celebrate. Aldo and Rog welcome Rumble Williams and Gramstar to the podcast to discuss the week that was. We began by discussing the origins of the Best Friend Weekend name (03:00), the Small Town Hall of Fame (06:00), and what does it mean to get “held back” in school (12:00). Tyrese Gibson was a major topic of discussion because of his recent real life and social media activity (14:00). We definitely touched on our favorite movies (22:00) and music from Black Ty (26:00), the Fast and the Furious franchise (29:00) and the beef with the Rock (32:00). Aldo gave his Houston apologies (35:00) and let Roger perpetuate the theory of natural disasters preceding world championships (37:00). The podcast wrapped with our updates on the NFL protest with Papa John’s and the pizza wars (42:00), the #MeToo targets of the week (55:00), and Nothing NICE to Say about the Louisiana judicial system and Diner en Blanc (1:01:00).
If nothing else, this week showed that what you do in the dark will more than likely come to light. Aldo NICE and Rog Smuve got an opportunity to discuss some troubling news stories and give some advice on our Halloween edition podcast. We went in on the latest Harvey Weinstein allegations and the #MeToo movement (07:00), should there be a statute of limitations on sexual assault charges (17:00), and the fact that George H.W. Bush is getting put in the mix (24:00). We shot out ideas for what dirty joke he could’ve told (29:00), how Trump is immune to this (34:00), and why Bill Cosby got to slide (36:00). Speaking of allegations, we got a chance to talk about the validity of the racism claims of Michael Bennett (39:00) and Bruce Maxwell (49:00) since the other parties are now disputing their accounts. We end up giving some Halloween dos and don’ts (57:00) and discussing the scariest thing happening at the moment, the Hennessy shortage (1:08:00). Nothing Nice to Say puts the Amazon Key in the crosshairs and Aldo gives his take (1:15:00).
Man, this week has been crazy! Aldo NICE and Rog Smuve linked up to give our hot takes on the events impacting the culture. We started off by discussing Harvey Weinstein and how he uses his power for evil (04:00) and posed the question, “What would you do for some paper?” (09:00). Our black person of the week award went to Kijuana Nige, who used her 15 minutes of fame to out her sugar daddy for being a coke head and got him fired (12:00). With the NFL protests pushing into week 6, we decided to key in on if there is an end game for the players (19:00), chronicled the insane actions of Pence and Trump, and discussed the recent suspension of Jemele Hill (24:00). Nelly’s unusual rape allegations were touched on (41:00) before we got into the hip-hop awards. While neither of us actually watched the show, we gave out our awards in each of the major categories (50:00) before rapping with up Nothing NICE to Say about the Dallas BOYS (1:11:00).
