In this episode, James and David are joined by Sue Roffey – educational psychologist, researcher, and leading voice on wellbeing, social justice, and relational approaches to education. Sue traces her journey from working with young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges, through educational psychology and academia, to her current work developing the ASPIRE principles – a framework for reimagining education through agency, safety, positivity, inclusion, respect and equity. The conversation explores why wellbeing and learning are not competing priorities but deeply intertwined, and why many current approaches to behaviour and school improvement miss this fundamental point. Key themes include: - Why focusing on problems can limit progress – and the importance of vision-led change - The distinction between individual wellbeing and collective flourishing - The concept of ‘mattering' – feeling valued and adding value - Why agency is essential for both students and teachers - How schools can create cultures of safety where mistakes support learning - The dangers of ‘exclusive belonging' and the importance of inclusive communities - Practical examples from schools restoring pupils' love of learning - The enduring relevance of UNESCO's four pillars: learning to know, learning to do, learning to be, and learning to live together Sue also shares insights from her recent Love of Learning project, involving deep dives into schools across the UK that are successfully building cultures of connection, curiosity and care. This episode offers both a critique of current systems and a hopeful vision of what education could become when relationships, agency and shared humanity are placed at the centre. In this episode, attorney David Nachman, Founder and Managing Attorney at NPZ Law Group, answers a common marriage-based green card question: Can a couple still qualify if they are not living together?David explains that while living together can help show a bona fide marriage, it is not the only way to prove that the relationship is real. He discusses how couples in long-distance marriages may still establish eligibility through evidence such as joint financial responsibility, shared tax filings, travel records, hotel stays, affidavits from friends and relatives, and other documentation showing an ongoing marital relationship. If you and your spouse live in different states or are temporarily apart because of work or other life circumstances, this episode explains why careful documentation can make all the difference in a marriage-based immigration case.

If you've ever moved in with a partner, a housemate or even a sibling, you'll know this feeling well: you don't always see the home the same way. One person cares deeply about how the space looks and feels… and the other person is totally fine with one novelty mug, a well-worn pan, or whatever they've had since 2014.This episode is all about learning to live together when your approaches don't match and how to actually make a home as a team.I'm sharing the real conversations I've had with my girlfriends over the years, as well as my own experience living with my partner. This isn't gender politics or partner-blaming, it's a genuine dynamic so many people navigate when they merge their routines, belongings and expectations. We'll talk about:• why some people see the item and others see the room• how to get your partner (or kids!) involved early so they actually care about things• how to do clear-outs without the drama• why good design is about function, not just aesthetics• how to bring your “future home” feeling into the home you're in now• and why whoever cares more should sometimes get priorityTake what applies, leave what doesn't, the goal is simply to help you build a home that reflects who you are now, and who you're becoming. If you enjoy the episode, please leave a review and share it with someone navigating the same thing.

In this episode of Fuel Your Drive, I talk about a hard truth most people avoid: success and comfort don't live together. If you're always comfortable, you're not growing—and you're definitely not winning. I break down why real progress in business and in life requires discomfort, obsession, and a willingness to pay a price that most people refuse to pay. Comfort feels good in the moment, but it quietly kills momentum, ambition, and potential over time. If you want more—more success, more freedom, more fulfillment—you have to be willing to do what others won't and embrace the uncomfortable work that actually moves the needle. Growth lives on the other side of comfort.

This week on the ranch, we've got our young hens working half the barn, scratching through the bedding and cleaning up after the goats. They're doing what chickens do best—turning packed areas into loose, manageable bedding. Watching them work reminded me how often I get asked whether goats and chickens can safely live together, so that's what we're diving into today. In this episode, I'm breaking down the real benefits of keeping goats and chickens together, the legitimate risks you need to manage, and the simple guidelines that make mixed housing safe. I'm also sharing what the newest research says about coccidia—specifically whether chickens can give it to goats—and how to decide if this setup is right for your farm or homestead. At the end of the episode, I'll give you a quick preview of next week's topic where we're going deep into coccidia: what it is, how it works, why some strains are more dangerous, and the management shifts that helped us break the cycle of coccidiosis in our own herd. In This Episode, I Cover: Why goats and chickens can safely share space How chickens help disrupt goat parasite cycles The barn-cleanup advantage of having chickens around goats The #1 rule of mixed housing: keep goats out of chicken feed What modern research really says about coccidia and species-specific strains When mixed housing becomes risky How to set up a safe, low-stress environment for both species When you should NOT mix species—especially if anyone is sick Key Takeaways: Chickens do not give goats coccidiosis. The strains are species specific. Goats getting into chicken feed is the biggest danger—and it's completely preventable. Dry bedding, enough space, and clean feeding areas make mixed housing much safer. Some diseases can move between species, so never mix sick animals. With the right setup, mixed species can simplify chores and support parasite management. Related Episodes: 06 | What Livestock Should I Get First? Let's talk about something most of us have felt, but rarely say out loud…   Are we giving wife energy before there's any real commitment?   I'm back with my soul sister Nadine Lee for part two of our raw and honest convo—and this time, we're getting into it on all things marriage, moving in together, wifey mode, and what real commitment actually looks like.   You can be living like a wife before he's ever claimed you. And then wonder why the relationship feels stuck, uninspired, or full of pressure.   Here's what we get into in this juicy part 2: → What “wifey mode” really is—and how to know if you've unconsciously fallen into it → The subtle way living together too soon kills polarity and motivation → How to maintain your own space (and energy!) while still being deeply connected → Why moving in isn't the same as being claimed → What to look for beyond the ring to know if he's really showing up → How to honor your timeline  → The truth about divorce, and why we need to ask ourselves—could I lovingly separate from this person if it came to that?   This conversation is honest, nuanced, and full of those little lightbulb moments that make you go—ohhh, THAT'S what I've been feeling.   Connect with Nadine Lee Here: https://www.instagram.com/nadineleeofficial?igsh=ajJlNjVzMHFnbXdk   Watch the past episode with Nadine Lee below: Tantric Wisdom for Women: https://youtu.be/WHR-hokJl7Q?si=z0o9Sdt-AGunkaFd   Join the list for the upcoming Dharma Summit: https://highestselfinstitute.com/spring-2025-summit-lp   Receive 10% off your first month of therapy with our sponsor Betterhelp at https://www.betterhelp.com/sahara    Try Dipsea your first 30 day trial full access/free at https://dipseastories.com/SAHARA   Discover Your Dharma - Order your copy now - https://iamsahararose.com/dharma   Stream the Intro + Outro Music: Trust Flow by Sahara Rose ft.
