Antonia Bennett, acclaimed jazz songstress and daughter of world renowned vocalist Tony Bennett, to release heart-warming version of the 1929 Fats Waller classic “Ain't Misbehavin” on Friday, February 28th 2025, the first single taken from her forthcoming album titled ‘Expressions'.    Antonia's swingin' piano and vocal rendition will be accompanied by a light-filled intimate family-affair video that will feature Antonia, Antonia's daughter, and husband frolicking through sun-drenched rooms of their home, complete with fancy dress-ups and communal cooking moments in the kitchen.   “Ain't Misbehavin” was first recorded by a Bennett in 1964. Antonia's late father, Tony Bennett performed the classic for his album ‘When Lights Are Low'.    The youngest daughter of Tony Bennett and actress Sandra Grant Bennett, Antonia grew up in Los Angeles and started singing with her father by age four. During that time, Antonia was surrounded by some of the greatest vocalists of all time, including Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald, and Frank Sinatra – known to get up and sing at her father's parties during the holidays. Antonia's passion for music grew stronger.   In 2008, Antonia recorded "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm" with her father, featured on his album"A Swingin' Christmas". In 2010, she released her own critically acclaimed EP, "Natural," produced by Holly Knight.  All About Jazz praised Antonia's debut, stating the EP "introduces Bennett as a gifted interpreter of jazz classics with an impeccable and accessible vocal style."    Her most recent album "Embrace Me", showcased ten standards from the Great American Songbook, including "All of You," "Embraceable You", "I Can't Give You Anything But Love", and "Nice Work if You Can Get It."

Julia London's latest book, "Nice Work, Nora November" is all about second chances. The book's main character, the flawed and lovable Nora, uses her second chance after a near death experience to refashion her life into something she loves by creating a "reverse bucket list." In this week's episode, Magda and Lindsay give their thoughts on the book and walk through Nora's progression from a depressed people-pleaser to an endearing and relatable work in progress.    Fun fact, in an ironic turn of events, our hosts had their own second chance to record this episode after an (un)fortunate? technology blunder. Hanalei is writing her own ticket and it is going to be fun keeping in touch with her as she continues to develop and grow in the industry. At the age of 23, she published her first book. A very related book of her experiences moving from a line-level employee to a leadership role. It really is one of the toughest jumps to make in the business. Your work buddys are now testing you to see how far they can get before you check them back into place. Other leaders with severe insecurity issues now see you as the competition and “out for them”. It's a lonely place to be even though everyone is watching you. Take a look at her website and grab a copy of her book Nice Work, Boys! Order through her website so she can sign the book for you, who knows it could be a collector's item one day. Make it a point to browse through the site as well. Why I'll Never Make It - An Actor’s Journey

As noted in the previous episode, auditions are the backbone of this industry. It is the fundamental job of every actor to do as many jobs as we can and do each one to the best of our ability. But there is an important gatekeeper when it comes to submitting our self tapes or actually getting in the audition room, and that is the casting Director. You've heard from Actors and their experiences in front of the audition table. Well, now it's time to hear from the other side of that proverbial table and what goes in to casting, and the vital role they play in the production for the stage or screen. Daryl Eisenberg, along with fellow casting director Ally Beans, works to create a comfortable space for actors, so they can take risks and really show their full potential as artists. You'll hear Daryl's thoughts on how actors can make their mark in the audition room or on a self-tape, and then you'll get an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at how she uses her position and expertise to make the audition process enjoyable and inclusive for artists on both sides of the table. But the summer of 2020 also changed the way we think about who is coming to the auditions and what that creative team looks like. In this week's bonus episode, Daryl shares a few of her own experiences as she advocates for more diversity on both sides of the table. A LIVE panel discussion with Rob McClure, Brad Oscar, and Analise Scarpaci of “Mrs. Doubtfire” talking about the roller coaster of being part of a Broadway show during a pandemic and the bond formed as they all dealt with the effects of COVID, including their show getting postponed. Rob recalls what it was like playing a role originally played by Robin Williams, and why he thinks the greatest adaptations of either material or performances are those that try to imitate how it made the audience feel. Analise shares her experience working with Rob and Brad, and how she helped her younger co-actors in the show. Coming from two shows back to back that dealt with serious matters in a comedic way, Rob shares the positive reception they got from people, and why comedy is such a good genre in that "you come to laugh and then through laughter we crack you open so that in the end we can deliver a message". Brad supports this by sharing how doing comedy is a means of catharsis. Rob explains the term "actually actually" that he cherishes particularly in comedy, and how acting is "reacting truthfully to imaginary circumstances". The three also talk about their favorite scenes, rehearsal as playtime, and the learnings they got from being in “Mrs. Doubtfire”. Rob McClure is an actor best known for his roles in musical theatre, particularly as Nick Bottom in "Something Rotten!" and Adam Maitland in "Beetlejuice". His performance in the title role of the musical "Chaplin" has earned him a nomination for the 2013 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical and has won the Theatre World Award. His other theatre credits include "I'm not Rappaport", "Avenue Q", "Noises Off", "Honeymoon in Vegas", and the latest one, "Mrs. Doubtfire" where he was nominated for the 2022 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He won Best Actor at both The Queen's World and Williamsburg Independent film festivals for the movie, "Recursion". His TV credits include "Person of Interest", "Elementary" and "The Good Fight". Brad Oscar has been seen on numerous Broadway shows, including "Something Rotten!" and “The Producers” where he earned two Tony Award nominations for his performance. He has also performed in "The Big Fish", "Nice Work...", "The Addams Family", "Spamalot", "Jekyll & Hyde", "Aspects of Love", and “Mrs Doubtire” among others. His Off-Broadway and Regional credits include “Damn Yankees”, “Forbidden Broadway”, “Sweeney Todd”, and both the “Phantom of the Opera” and “Young Frankenstein” national tours. He has also appeared in movies and TV shows such as "Ghost Town", "The Producers", "Madam Secretary", "Smash", "The Good Wife"', and "Law & Order". Analise Scarpaci made her Broadway debut in 2012's “A Christmas Story, The Musical” where she played the role of Esther Jane. Her other stage credits include "Matilda the Musical", "Lolita, My Love", and "Mrs. Doubtfire" which was her first principal role as Lydia Hillard. Analise has also appeared in the short films, "Thespians" and "We're Gonna Come Back". She recently released her debut EP, "Pathetic Little Dreamer" which received positive reviews. Apart from performing, Analise has also done activist work and raised money with her walking group, Broadway for Bellies, and is currently giving private coaching and lessons to teens and kids. The promise of regaining Wilshire Memorial's Chief of Staff job has Peter re-energized about his career. He's even going back into the OR! Sadly, his good mood sours quickly, and when Amanda's not around to comfort him, he turns to...well, not the next best thing, but the thing that's around all the time: Taylor. Her contact with Peter is in direct contravention of Kyle's clear request that she stop spending time with Peter for the sake of her marriage, and is sick of her weaseling out of disputes by throwing his infidelity in his face. Meanwhile, Amanda -- the one who first alerted Kyle that he should be suspicious of the time Taylor spends with Peter -- is tied up with work stuff. Now that Craig has learned that he's the majority shareholder at D&D, he's ready to start making changes immediately. Since this means a huge demotion for Amanda, she goes behind Craig's back to the old man, who asks her to play along with Craig's big plans for the sake of Amanda's money, and Arthur's. Craig might not even notice any duplicity on Amanda's part since he's pretty focused on Samantha, to Billy's chagrin. Jane heads home to Chicago to visit her parents and complain about the mess she's made of her life. A conversation at Mrs. Andrews's medical appointment forces her to tell Jane something she apparently hoped she and Mr. Andrews would never have to admit: Jane is adopted! Back in Los Angeles, Megan is settling nicely into mistress life (though she does note that Michael's being very controlling). After Kimberly busts in on Michael and Megan, "discovering" their relationship, Michael moves out of the beach house and Kimberly prepares to brief Megan on Phase 2 of their scheme. But Megan's uncomfortable keeping the secret of Kimberly's diagnosis from him, and her insistence on spilling forces Kimberly to make a shocking pivot. Finally, Matt finally talks Dr. Dan into bed, and Jake renews his suggestion that Alison join him as the half owner of Shooters.
