A Phil Svitek Podcast - A Series From Your 360 Creative Coach
In this vlog, I'm sharing the delicate balancing act of managing my growing workload and pushing my website revamp over the finish line. Work has ramped up, leaving me with limited time for my own projects. Still, I've managed to keep all the balls in the air. This week marked the fourth week of my website revamp, and although there were no impending consequences if I didn't finish, I was eager to check it off my list. I prioritized work tasks at the beginning of the week and, as they wrapped up towards the end, I dedicated substantial hours to the website project. It took late nights and early mornings, but it's finally done, with a new addition: an "Altruism" page to highlight meaningful causes and charities. Before this, I had to manually upload episodes each week, but now, it's all streamlined. I'm excited to share it with you all. For a comprehensive look at the web development process, check out my series here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLd-Q6qZNFcQ8zDLRFbI6j-dwljQN0lcgE. Switching gears, I've made good progress on "The Arbiters" script, thanks to the outline I completed last week. Writing takes time, and it's easy to underestimate how time-consuming it can be. I'm now on bullet point #28 of #117 in the outline, so there's still work ahead. You can find minor details about "The Arbiters" on my website, and for exclusive behind-the-scenes access, consider joining my Patreon at http://patreon.com/philsvitek, where we also have monthly group coaching sessions. Regarding my personal reel, I've temporarily paused on editing it to focus on website development and scriptwriting. However, I did share individual testimonials, which have attracted attention and found their way onto my website. It's all about making the most of content in various ways, as Gary Vee often emphasizes. On a different note, I believe we should prioritize building parks and community spaces rather than more hospitals. I also tested T-Mobile's internet, hoping to save money, but the download speeds weren't up to par. For entertainment, I watched "Super Pumped," a Showtime series on the rise and fall of former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, now on Netflix. It raises questions about whether the ends justify the means, a topic explored in shows like this and others (e.g., WeWork). We often assume that certain actions modernized the world, but do we truly consider the alternatives? These are the thoughts and activities that have kept me busy this week. As always, feel free to leave your comments, suggestions for future topics, and don't forget to like and subscribe if you haven't already. Your support means a lot! Exciting opportunity for small to medium business owners employing 5-30 team members. Are you ready to learn, grow, and invest in your ongoing development? Don't miss out on our latest podcast featuring a special guest who shares invaluable insights for business success. In this episode, Troy asked Steve Orenstein, the founder of Zoom2u based in Melbourne, Australia, the final five questions: What does Damian believe is the hardest thing when growing a small business? Finding and keeping customers is not easy, that's why Steve emphasizes the importance of building an engine that's going to deliver your customers on a regular basis where you're not having to pay for those customers back, you're not spending money on Facebook ads, or AdWords. Damian's favorite business book is "Super Pumped" by Mike Isaac. It discusses everything that was involved in building a global business that is related to building Zoom2u—a really good story of a company that went from nothing to something massive Regarding professional development, Steve finds immense value in scaling up. He loves to listen to a good podcast run by Reid Hoffman who was the founder of LinkedIn, and interviews a number of really great people. Steve suggests an effective tool for small business growth is mastering Loom, an internal tool that you use to record something that you're actually doing. And that can be something you can send to a customer. Finally, if Damian could go back to day one of starting out, he would advise himself to become resilient. And you can't be thinking about it, I'm going to make some quick money over a year or two years, you've got to really be engaged in the problem you're solving. Book a 20-minute Growth Chat with Troy Trewin to see if you qualify for our upcoming course. Don't miss out on this opportunity to take your small business to new heights! Enjoyed the podcast? Please leave a review on iTunes or your preferred platform. Your feedback helps more small business owners discover our podcast and embark on their business growth journey.

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem I'm smoking Gorilla Berry by Green Seal, a 27% THC indica in the bong. The pre roll is Jungle Cake by MTL cannabis, a 29% THC sativa. I got a couple negative comments attacking my channel and of course my happy time, fun time. So something had to be done. Also I get petty so I responded to their comments and surprisingly never heard back. Then I ranted about it on the podcast and got a little fired up. What can I say? Because these two meat heads decided to attack me I decided, retaliation was the only way. This sesh I decided to blow off some steam and let them have it. So I did my research and found out what these dudes were all about. You'll also have to excuse the spelling mistakes in my responses to them. That's right, I got petty enough to post their comments and my response during the sesh. Just keep in mind I had just gotten home, smoked a joint and was checking the numbers on a few videos, when bam! It be came door knob comment time. My responses absolutely had an altered of capability. I think I got them good though. Hopefully these stories also provide you some entertainment. I hope you enjoy the sesh, the rant and don't forge to SUBSCRIBE to the channel and visit Tots420.com

John Heilemann talks with Andrew Ross Sorkin, co-anchor of CNBC's “Squawk Box,” columnist and assistant editor at the New York Times and founder and editor-at-large of the paper's financial news franchise, DealBook, and author of the best-selling book Too Big to Fail. Heilemann and Sorkin discuss the two enormous business stories dominating headlines in the past week: the stunning $44 billion acquisition of Twitter by SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, whose roughly $275 billion net worth makes him the world's richest person, and the Walt Disney Company's increasing embroilment in the culture wars, particularly as a whipping boy for Ron DeSantis, the Republican governor of Florida. They also reflect on Sorkin's precocity as a young journalist at the Times, his role as co-creator of the hit Showtime series Billions, and the apparently insatiable appetite for movies and TV shows about the one percent — from Succession to WeCrashed to Super Pumped.
