Farmer sentiment jumped again in November as the Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer rose 30 points to 145. That's the highest level of farmer optimism since May 2021. The Future Expectations index saw the largest jump, rising 37 points to 1161, while the Current Conditions Index increased 18 points to 113. The November sentiment boost reflects growing optimism about a more favorable regulatory and tax environment for agriculture following the November election.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Precincts in Charlestown, Dorchester, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, the South End and West Roxbury ran out of ballots, according to complaints compiled by WBUR from interviews with elected officials, election integrity advocates and voters, as well as public records.

After months of campaigning, the Ohio Legislature returned to the Ohio Statehouse this week. The first thing lawmakers did when they got there was to pass a controversial bill that requires students to use bathrooms that correspond with the gender listed on their birth certificates. Ohio Statehouse Scoop Host Jo Ingles reports this week, majority Republicans in the Ohio House and Senate will choose who will guide them in the next General Assembly.
