#190// What do you see with your eyes closed? What do you see when you allow your spirit to set vision as it's connected to the Spirit of God?Listen, Sister . . . if we're actually going to BEHOLD the things of God in the natural, we've got to get good at seeing it with our spirit first. This past weekend, I had the opportunity to speak to and exhort over 300 women at our REVIVE Woman Conference 2025 about what it looks like to BEHOLD with God... to perceive the new thing He is doing in this coming season (see Isaiah 43:19). The truth is: We BECOME what we BEHOLD!If we are continually beholding our Savior -- the way He walked and talked and related to others -- we will become more and more like Him. If we allow ourselves to behold the negative, the swirl, the chaos or overwhelm, we will continually see that all around us. And here's the part no one wants to say out loud: We can't BECOME on our own because it's hard for us to BEHOLD on our own. We NEED other faith-filled, godly women of purpose around us -- cheering us on, calling us up higher, discipling and challenging us -- for our GOOD and for the GLORY of God!And you better believe the enemy is going to do everything in his power to keep you from beholding. Because he doesn't want you to BECOME! That makes you a BIG threat to his kingdom of darkness. But I've got his schemes in my sight and I'm going to share with you The Four Strategies the Enemy Uses to Keep Us from Beholding:

#189 // Are you a conference "junkie" . . . attending conference after conference for the next Holy Spirit "hit?"Listen, I've been there, Sister . . .I had this belief that the big breakthrough I needed or the touch from God that was going to finally shift things could only be found during a big, Christian conference with all the lights, sounds and fanfare. I would be so expectant for that type of encounter at these events, but there was very little expectation of God encountering me in that same way in my everyday life. The truth is: breakthrough and deliverance can happen anywhere!Yes, it can happen at the altar during a conference, but it can also happen in your living room as you set your heart and soul on the desire to experience God in a new way.But why are we talking about this? Well, friend... I'm hosting a women's conference next weekend and I want to help my ambitious, sound-making, Jesus Girls (like you) to know how you can properly prepare when you decide to attend a Christian conference. It's more than just popping up and enjoying the worship and word. Here are three things I'd encourage you to do before stepping into your next conference:

All you need to do is concern yourself with the receipt, belief, and obedience to the call. The main reason given by most of the women I coach for why they didn't "go for it" in business or ministry sooner is this: They had a paralyzing fear around money and provision. Most felt they couldn't get into motion until they had a firm grasp on how it was all going to get funded and resourced. But did you know that's not how it works in the Kingdom? #177// We've been lied to about what accountability is.WARNING: I *may* be on a bit of a rant in this week's episode as I "discuss" what I think has happened to real accountability over the last few decades. With the rise of productivity coaching, hands-on "mentorships" and "results Christianity," alongside declining acknowledgement for basic, personal responsibility in pretty much all areas of life (even in the Church, my friend!), accountability has taken on quite the co-dependent flavoring. It's had me a little "triggered" as of late.As a self-described "breakthrough coach," and someone who absolutely LIVES to help others run their own race to breakthrough in their assigned lane to the glory of God, to think we've been sold this fake accountability as a way to "help" us get to the finish line is maddening to me. I believe this twisted definition of accountability offers us the spirit of victimhood and an "I can't if you don't make me" (wipes away tear) attitude that is absolutely getting folks stuck and keeping them out of their "promised land."On this episode of The Positioned to Prosper Podcast I'm ranting. We allow what we see with our natural eyes, hear with our natural ears and what we understand from our own thinking and figuring to cause us to doubt what God has said He will do. "Kinda Crunchy" Ain't Christian: How to Steward Your Family's Health Well Without Perfectionism or Overwhelm

#173// "Kinda Crunchy" is a lifestyle born out of collective burnout, Sister.Negotiating the Standard of God is never a good idea. Not even when we find ourselves overwhelmed and thinking, "There must be an easier way to do this!" In fact, that's the worst place to start to have a compromise in your spirit. We need to know how to identify the voice of the enemy when he comes with the questions that lead us into letting down our godly standards. This includes the standard we hold as we steward the health -- spirit, soul and body -- God has given to us.I won't argue you on the fact that the health and wellness space has been absolutely overrun by a spirit of perfectionism in the last generation or two. By the beginning of 2020, we were experiencing a worldly standard being set around how to steward health that had nothing to do with trusting or glorifying God, and everything to do with "keeping up with the Joneses" (or whichever influencer you followed and most related to over on social media). And I'm talking about faith-based health and wellness educators and influencers, too!Stewarding health became an exhausting and overwhelming feat. And as a collective, it seems many of us decided to quietly compromise on the standard of how to care for the gift of health God had given us as we took to writing some "simpler" standards of our own:"You don't have to be that strict about clean eating. It's all too much. Just do the best you can.""It's so expensive to eat unprocessed, whole foods. Just do the best you can.""And isn't it so overwhelming to try to figure this all out at the same time? Balance, Sister. Just do the best you can."And with that, "Do the Best You Can" became the new standard. "Kinda Crunchy." Even in Christian circles. In fact, I heard it the MOST from Christian influencers. Somehow we had become convinced that "being too hard on ourselves" was worse than the difficulty of upholding a Biblical standard. Not that the standard we were holding previously was Biblical, mind you. But instead of determining to find the real Biblical Standard and making that our guide and our goal, we just decided to "Do the Best You Can." Honestly, I believe we took an unauthorized break. To me, that's what "Kinda Crunchy" has come to mean.On this episode of The Positioned to Prosper Podcast we're chatting about the five main reasons I see for why we began to settle for this "kinda crunchy" and "just do the best you can" standard when it comes to stewarding our health, and then I'm sharing a simple Reset Roadmap you can follow to Biblically steward your health and wellness without overwhelm and burnout. You've Got to Set Boundaries with Yourself First

#168// "Boundaries" has been a buzz word for decades, but we haven't talked enough about what I believe is the most important step in setting boundaries . . . the right place to START.For the last few decades, *boundaries* have been a real hot topic, especially in Christian circles. What's wild to me is how many "Christian Influencers," pastors and teachers are showing up on social media and posting unbiblical advice around boundaries. It's shocking! As followers of Christ, filled with His Spirit, when we post or speak publicly, we MUST fact check ourselves. This means running everything we say and post through the filter of the Word of God. This is our Standard, and if we're teaching anything that departs from this Standard, we're edging into Ezekiel 13 territory (go read it when you have a minute and the fear of the Lord will set you straight, promise!).Jesus said in John 5 that He only did and said what He saw the Father doing and saying. And He constantly addressed things with straight-up Scripture. Consider His showdown with the devil in the desert, yeah? This Standard is now our Standard, in Christ Jesus. So, when it comes to talking about and teaching around boundaries, it's no different for us.Popular psychology may highlight the setting of boundaries externally between us and others as the place to start, but I see something different when I read the Bible. It's clear, over and over in Scripture, God calls us to set boundaries within ourselves first.Setting boundaries within ourselves before we start to build and set them externally will change the nature of how we set boundaries with others, and will make those boundaries we do set more effective and less emotionally and mentally overwhelming as we hold and maintain them. Who doesn't want more of that?!On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I'm going to show you the 3 different types of personal boundaries you need to set within yourself first that will enable you to set more effective, less overwhelming boundaries with others over the long haul. #166// God provides at a point. A certain place. Do you know where that is?Seventeen years ago, the Lord highlighted 3 John 2 in the NKJV to me, and I've never been the same. It launched my first ministry -- The Positioned to Prosper Personal Finance Course -- and caught me up into a heavenly understanding of true prosperity and how God really provides. The starting point for me was to truly understand Biblical prosperity. Real prosperity. Not the kind of prosperity you hear haters on social media screaming about when they see a pastor in a private jet or enjoying a beautiful home and an abundant bank account. But the real thing that envelops not only financial wealth, but also health and relationships and mindset and purpose. True Prosperity is a "full being" experience in the Lord.Once I could see what real prosperity looked like from the perspective of God (Ephesians 2:6-7! It's such a gift), we then moved into me understanding HOW to get positioned for this sort of provision. Not even a little bit.I'm getting super vulnerable on this episode because, if it's possible, I want to save you from making the same mistakes I've made, and from going around the proverbial mountain any more times than God deems absolutely necessary. Want to know what my "Goliath" has been over these last few years? This thought, born out of disappointment and fear: THIS. ISN'T. WORKING.From the time I was born until I left the marketplace at age 34, I lived what felt like a spectacularly favored life. Everything worked out for me. Everything. And I'm not just saying that. I actually had a girl tell me once that she spend a couple months mad at me because things seemed to always work out for me so well and with ease. All I could say at the time was, I guess favor ain't fair. But it wasn't that my life was easy. I faced significant challenges growing up -- relationally, with self-esteem, health-wise, financially. But as I faced each challenge, the solutions and the resources I needed seemed within my grasp. I had a rhythm of consistent breakthrough and victory going. #ThankYouJesusBut then I left my job. I was at the height of my career success, and had I stayed on, I would have only continued to grow and soar. But I felt the Lord directing me to hang up my tax accounting hat to move into mothering and ministry, so I obeyed. The price tag for that obedience was steep (I share about that in the episode), but I trusted God because He'd always come through for me (and quickly) up until then. This one step of obedience launched me into a sixteen year season of wilderness living where it has felt, many times, like the favored life I once had was just a dream. And that's when "Goliath" started showing up for me. That thought that started out so small -- "this doesn't seem to be working." -- has grown over the years into a full-sized giant, with a full and thunderously loud voice, shouting with intimidation -- THIS. ISN'T. WORKING!What do you do when it's taking such a long time to see the GOOD things God has promised you come to pass? #162// You were made to do BIG things in Christ Jesus, Sis. That's why the enemy will try to get you to self-sabotage.Have you ever been working on something and believing God for the outcome, only to lose faith all of a sudden and find "really good reasons" for taking an extended break or quitting all together? Have you ever found yourself blowing up and exiting a situation or relationship only to think afterwards, "That was a bit dramatic. Why did I do that?" Or how about straight-up quitting because it's "obvious" that you don't have the time, resources, talent, support or gifting necessary to get the job done anyway? Friend, those are all examples of self-sabotage.Self-sabotage is a self-protective coping mechanism. Sometimes we want to bail before we get abandoned or we want to have some level of control over the "inevitable" failure that seems to be coming. We want to regulate the pain and suffering we're experiencing on the road to the promise, so we create scenarios and situations where it seems "impossible" to do anything other than stop or quit or fail. On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I'm sharing three little lies we tell ourselves that are sure signs of self-sabotage. #161// Have you ever noticed that progress doesn't always follow a straight line? And yet, all of humanity is taught how to plan for progress in a linear fashion. Start with the desired outcome. Now figure out what steps need to happen in order for you to arrive at said outcome, and then put them all in order. Maybe now you add a time estimate for completing each step, and you then you figure out how long the process will take overall. Now you put it all in your calendar and get to work! But then, inevitably, something doesn't work according to the plan. Maybe one step takes longer than expected or another part doesn't work out the way you thought it would. You find yourself "off on a tangent" and, if you're like me, maybe you start to blame yourself for getting "lost" on what was supposed to be a simple journey from point A to point B. Have you ever been here?It can feel even worse if the project you're working on involves a God-promise. When we're working towards something we *know* we heard God say was up ahead for us, we can tend to get more overwhelmed and stressed out because, well -- "God SAID!"So how do we navigate the journey of pursuing a promise without losing hope or getting stuck (or quitting) along the way? That's what we're getting into on this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast. It doesn't even have to be an imminent deadline. I just like to know that I'm "on pace" and moving in the right direction. I don't want to waste my time!I've found that this overwhelm can ramp up even more if the reason we're transitioning into a new season or assignment is because something else has unexpectedly ended or if the new thing came up super fast and we didn't have a lot of time to think it through first. But I think the worst overwhelm gets served when we've already stepped into something new and have started moving, and then hit a massive roadblock. #159// Underneath the myriad reasons we give for why we can't take time to rest right now lurks a common root cause: We simply do not feel safe to slow down and rest. Ever.Have you ever considered that, underneath that pile of "really good reasons" for why you just can't slow down right now might be hiding a root cause of fear? Specifically the fear that, if you stop and stay still for any amount of time, you won't be safe. Something bad will happen. I know, it's uncomfortable to think about.Years ago when I was wrestling with a bout of severe postpartum anxiety, I suffered from a symptom called akithisia -- a constant felt need to pace and keep moving with a severe sense of dread and heightened anxiety when you try to sit down and be still, even for a minute. I began to research the root cause of this condition and came to understand that my body actually thought I was in danger 24/7 and needed to keep moving. My nervous system kept sending signals to "MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!" I literally didn't feel safe to rest. But even when I got my PPA worked out and was feeling better, I still experienced moments of dread and heightened anxiety when I thought about being still, sitting with my thoughts or simply "doing nothing." And I began to realize that I was stuck in a cycle of hypervigilance that never really left me. And the roots I uncovered beneath hypervigilance are what prompted me to record this podcast episode. Hypervigilance becomes a lifestyle when you don't feel safe to rest and trust God in the moment, and it'll run you ragged. On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, we're digging into the protective coping mechanism called hypervigilance and how it perpetuates a lie we've learned at some point in our lives that we "really aren't safe if we stay still and rest." I'll start us off with some Biblical truth around rest and our capacity and need for it, and then I'll share four practical strategies for helping you to step out of hypervigilance and into the kind of trust in God that *makes* you to be able to lay down in green pastures (Psalm 23). #154// So, Harrison Butker "went and did it" when he shared during his commencement address at Benedictine College that he suspected many women will find their greatest fulfillment in the vocations of marriage and motherhood. And the internet. Went. WILD.Quite frankly, I find it fascinating that so many people who do not identify as staunch Catholics actually cared about his comments at all. I mean, WHY do we care? Why are we even listening to a commencement address being shared at a traditionally conservative, Catholic college if we don't go there, have kids graduating from there and/or are not Catholic? I believe it's because of the "outrage mentality" and "cancel culture" we've curated into our online platforms over the last decade, and I think this is dangerous on many levels. But primarily it's making folks forget that (a) not everything applies to us, and (b) we don't have to "weigh in" with our personal opinion on things that don't apply to us. But I digress. On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast, I want to unpack this question, "Can Christian Women Be Breadwinners?". Because, in light of this "women's rights whirlwind" that got set off when folks started responding to Butker's statements, we would do well to get into the Bible and see what the Word of God has to say about a woman's role, specifically around working outside the home and bringing in an income. Is God "cool" with a woman working outside the home and "bringing home the bacon?"Are you ready to unpack some scripture on this and get down to what the Bible has to say about our core role and responsibilities as godly women and what this means to our purpose and positioning in life? He spoke two things to me in 2014 that inspired me to embrace my role in helping His people in the area of their health:First, He reminded me that His Body, the Church, *should* be the healthiest body on the face of the planet, and yet we are not. The statistics around illness and death are no different for those within the Body than they are for the general public. With everything we have available to us -- the blood of Jesus, His stripes that He bore for us, the alive and active Word of God, prayer for healing, the empowerment of the Holy Spirit -- we should be walking in a very different experience when it comes to our health. This fired me up to help God's people to apprehend every good thing He has won for us including vibrant and robust health in this life.Second, He inspired me with a passion to teach people how to steward their own health in such a way that they'd live long enough and strong enough to do and be all He created them for. I have such a fire on the inside of me to help people pick up their own personal responsibility and sufficiency in Him when it comes to stewarding their health excellently. But the minute I start to talk to them about actively stewarding their everyday health so they can be around long enough and strong enough to do and be all God created them for, so many of them disconnect from the conversation. Even though these gals will readily admit they are struggling with low energy, erratic mood, inability to lose weight, aches and pains, chronic stress and anxiety, or other nagging health issues, so many of them take the approach of, "I'm just gonna keep on praying and see what God will do." Even Paul grieved over this in Romans 6 and 7, right? So why is it that we can know what we need to do, but have such a hard time choosing it? Do you struggle to choose joy and gratitude in the midst of your own hard circumstances? On this episode of The Positioned to Prosper Podcast, I'm sharing the message I preached at our last REVIVE Woman Girls Night Out event. During my share I unpacked Biblical guidance for how to choose joy and gratitude right in the midst of the hardest things life can throw at us. #145//  A transformative discussion with Jessica Chapman on the power of maintaining relational connection as we minister deliverance in Jesus' name.Have you ever experienced deliverance for yourself or been in the room when someone else was receiving this type of ministry? What was that like? Were there parts that were scary? Or maybe aggressive? Did it even "work?"Are you a part of a church that invites deliverance ministers into services as opposed to operating in this ministry "in house?" Or have you ever had to go outside your church family to access the freedom that deliverance brings -- spirit, soul and body? What if it was supposed to be that you could remain firmly planted and receiving, in the house God put you in, while receiving deliverance ministry that got you the freedom you so desperately needed while also maintaining the healthy and necessary familial relationships all around you to help you walk out that newly received freedom? On this episode of The Positioned to Prosper podcast, I'm chatting with Jessica Chapman, Director of the Prayer, Prophetic and Deliverance Ministry at REVIVE Church of Tampa, about how we can experience more powerful and lasting deliverance when we receive this type of ministry within the house God has planted us in, with the people He's placed us with. Complaint vs Processing Pain and Suffering

#144//  As Christians, we know complaining "ain't it," right?Philippians 2:14-16 tells us to do all things without grumbling, disputing or complaining, but there seems to be this thing deep down inside of all of us that needs to feel heard and seen, and that we're not alone in difficult circumstances. And so, we give voice to the pain and suffering, and we're not always aware of the way we're doing it.But then our situations don't improve. Maybe we feel stuck, even. And we start to wonder, "Could it be the way I'm talking about my situation or experience? Surely God understands my need to process this pain and suffering, right?" How do we process out our negative thoughts and feelings around experiences and situations without reaping the negative consequences of grumbling and complaint? That's what we're getting into on this week's episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast. Are you ready to dig in? Grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . #142 // When Jesus said He would build His Church, what sort of Standard do you think He was setting for us to follow? Can we really be Holy and Perfect as the prophets and Jesus exhorted us to be in the Scriptures? On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast I'm sharing a message I preached at our last REVIVE Church of Tampa Leader Night on the Holy Standard that Jesus has established in His Church. We're pressing past the discomfort of considering the fact that we're falling so short and making excuses, and heading straight into the beautiful truth that we can be perfected and made Holy and fit for His service when we trust in Jesus and follow Him. Are you ready for this sharpening word of leadership? If so, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!

Addressing the Rebellious Spirit in the Church

#141// Do you think Jesus was a rebel?Think past the cute Christian statement t-shirts emblazoned with those words and dig into scripture instead. What do you think you'll find? Listen, I'm going to spill the beans . . .While Jesus was definitely a "disrupter" and went against the grain of culture and those in authority, He was perfectly submitted to His Father and aligned with perfect authority. He was the furthest thing from being a rebel you'll ever find! It's this watering down of rebellion (and the twisting of its real nature) that's got the Church in a tight spot these days.A few months ago while sitting in a quiet time with the Lord, I heard Him say this thing to my heart: "Erica, tell the Church: Listen to Me. Do it like this. Do it now." And immediately my heart was flooded with the sense that the heart of the Father was longing to pull His kids out of oncoming traffic that was sent to wreck us. His mercy, mixed with urgency and power, was palpable. This is a NOW Word out of the throne room, Church. This is a message I'm obediently delivering and I pray you will allow the Holy Spirit to have place in your heart as this word finds it's planting place in you.On this episode of the Positioned to Prosper podcast I'm addressing the spirit of rebellion that's infiltrated the Church and convinced her she has to protect and provide for herself at all costs. I'm exposing the roots of this insidious spirit and declaring the antidote so we can be rightly positioned and prepared for what's just up ahead in these end times. Are you ready?
