If Halt and Catch Fire was AMC's first lesson in tech, The Audacity is what happens when that world metastasizes — a look at how money, power, and ego rot the core of 2026 Silicon Valley. Billy Magnussen stars as Duncan Park, a data-mining mogul doing a tightrope walk over a cliff, dragged down by his own hubris. On the pod, we break down the sprawling ensemble (Sarah Goldberg, Meaghan Rath, Lucy Punch, Simon Helberg…), touch on plot points including blackmail, NDAs, insider trading, and Wallflowers stuck in basements... Finally, we conclude whether the show has potential or if it is just a cheap Black Mirror rip off. Tune in, and Welcome to Todays Episode!

Tune in as the Rebecca Hall of Fame comes to a close with its fifth and final episode of May! It's been such a great journey to explore her filmography throughout the month, and the conclusion shall arrive via Arthur's friend Jared returning to 2CC for a deep dive into The Night House, the 2020 horror movie that cleverly uses negative space to deliver some paranormal and psychological chills. Jared's pitch for a horror remake of Fifty Shades of Grey with a BDSM demon, Arthur's recommendation of a song from the boring and uncomfy Sydney Sweeney movie Clementine, and a discussion about the debatable existence of an afterlife comprise just a few of the talking points for this last episode of May. Directed by David Bruckner, The Night House stars Rebecca Hall, Sarah Goldberg, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Evan Jonigkeit, and Stacy Martin.

P.S. SPOILER ALERT pour toute la série. Before D'Arcy Carden landed the role of a lifetime as Janet on ‘The Good Place,' she was starting to worry her comedy career might never take off. And yet, in the less than six years since that show premiered on NBC, she has earned an Emmy nomination, appeared with her former babysitting boss Bill Hader on ‘Barry' and is now about to star opposite her best friend Abbi Jacobson in a high-profile reimagining of ‘A League of Their Own' on Amazon Prime Video. In this episode, Carden opens up about how she turned things around and expresses her shock and disappointment at her ‘Barry' co-star Sarah Goldberg's Emmy snub. She also reminisces about the early days of UCB, shares the important lesson she learned about screen acting during her first TV gig on ‘Broad City' and recalls the demoralizing experience of being an extra on ‘Saturday Night Live.' We also play a little came of nominee switcheroo, and discuss some of the biggest snubs (Blackish, Pachinko, Pen15, Barry's Sarah Goldberg) and surprises (Yellowjackets' Christina Ricci, all the love for Abbott Elementary and The White Lotus!). Plus, Hacks star and co-creator Paul W. Downs joins us to talk about the comedy's big second season, what's to come on the HBO Max series, and how he keeps a straight face working opposite Megan Stalter. Learn more about your ad choices. It's still Wet Hot Slashers Summer here on Slashers Podcast, and this week's Call Your Ghoulfriends episode with Mikey and Ade features our special guest, Micah, over from Damn, That's Scary Podcast. Never a dull moment with this one! This week's film is The Night House, starring Rebecca Hall as Beth, who is reeling from the unexpected death of her husband and is left alone in the lakeside home he built for them. She tries her best to keep it together but then her nightmares start to eat away at her, along with disturbing visions, all while she uncovers some dark secrets about her late husband, proving that ya never really know someone. The film also stars Sarah Goldberg as Beth's best friend, Claire, Evan Jonigkeit as her late husband, Vondie Curtis Hall as Beth's neighbor and Stacy Martin as Madelyne. The film is directed by David Bruckner, who you may already know from directing films such as The Ritual, VHS and 2022's upcoming Hellraiser. Find out why Micah fanboys over this guy in the episode! The film is super dark and a lot to unpack. Listen to our theories and let us know what you think! You can stream this on HBO Max, but it's also available on Hulu Premium, and for $7.99 to rent on Amazon Prime and Vudu. This week's Hidden Track is Obsidian Blood by Dancing With Ghosts. They are an alternative electronic rock band hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, not too far from Ade's neck of the woods. Ade saw them last time she was in St. Augustine, and liked them so much that she reached out to them and they were kind enough to send us a few songs. One of their vocalists, Josh, also hosts his own podcast, Uncovering Unexplained Mysteries that you can listen to on Apple Podcast and Spotify. You can follow the band on instagram @dancingwithghostsofficial . Don't forget to show Micah and Greg some love for their podcast, Damn That's Scary! Q&A on the HBO series Barry with actor Sarah Goldberg. Moderated by Mara Webster, In Creative Company. Disillusioned at the thought of taking down another "mark," depressed, low-level hit man Barry Berkman seeks a way out. When the Midwesterner reluctantly travels to Los Angeles to execute a hit on an actor who is bedding a mobster's wife, little does Barry know that the City of Angels may be his sanctuary. He follows his target into acting class and ends up instantly drawn to the community of eager hopefuls, especially dedicated student Sally, who becomes the object of his affection. While Barry wants to start a new life as an actor, his handler, Fuches, has other ideas, and the hit man's criminal past won't let him walk away so easily.
Writing partners Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski had already managed to get several scripts made into films but there was plenty more left on the cutting room floor from projects that never got picked up or pieces of stories that were deemed too ambitious that the pair called their “murdered darlings.” Armed with those ideas along with an intense desire to write something that would scare each other, Collins and Piotrowski started to develop an idea for a new script that would deal with a subject that was truly terrifying — the intense reality of mortality. Despite never having suffered through any intense grief in their own lives yet knowing that death is looming around the corner for all of us and the ones we love, they decided to explore that as a setting for a film. The final story centered around a woman named Beth who is trying to make sense of her husband's shocking suicide and the trove of secrets he was keeping from her that she begins to uncover in the wake of his death. In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we're going to crank up the stereo to listen to ‘The Calvary Cross' and make sure the boat is tied to the dock as we review the 2021 thriller ‘The Night House'…

Sometimes life comes full circle. This episode, Mat interviews Lori Greenberg and Sarah Goldberg from The Container House in Tivoli, NY, coincidentally (or is it?) owned by a recruiter and business owner from Mat's past. The Container House is an awesome structure designed by Arnaud Cornillon as a model for sustainable living and where Greenberg is building a community for creative people.
