Also geht Quatro allein nach London. Recently I asked people for another batch of ridiculous ideas for Christmas songs. I got over 70 suggestions and rather than just choose one I decided to do multiple songs and release an EP. The Ridiculous Christmas EP is now available featuring this and three additional tracks. This song was suggested by Scott Morgan who said "How about a parody of Eminem's Stan, writing to Santa?" My first inclination was to reject it because this is a good idea, not a ridiculous idea, but I kept coming back to it. Then I googled to see if anyone else had already done it and yes, several had, including SNL. So I rejected it again. But I couldn't get it out of my head. Eventually I said screw it and just started writing. I got a few other suggestions for songs that I didn't make into full songs but I did use as individual lines in this song. Those were from Steven Shilling and Roberta Maher and are called out in the lyrics. Lyrics: Tom Rockwell Music: Trevor Morgan Vocals: Tom Rockwell, Whitney Morgan, Chris Mezzolesta Parody of "Stan" by Eminem

Back in our non-camera-enabled studio, we've got some thoughts for you today about how observation can be made more purposeful. Often found as an initial activity at the start of student teacher placements, it can sometimes be a missed opportunity if student teachers simply stand at the back and try to make sense of what's going on in a busy classroom in an unfamiliar school. That's why we got some top-quality school colleagues in to discuss the challenges of making observation purposeful, and some simple strategies to give things a little more structure. They produced some clips, and we're bringing you those today. After that, we flip things around and look at those moments where mentors are observing student teachers and giving feedback. What can we do to make those experiences even richer? We hope there's something in there to get you thinking if you work with student teachers, whether inside or outside Wales. Thanks to all our colleagues who helped with this project: Sioned Dafydd, Lucy Donovan, Nia Lockett, Lauren Rees, Scott Morgan, Rhian Staples and Rhian Wyn Griffiths. -------------------------------------Recorded in Studio B2.10A at Cardiff Metropolitan University's Cyncoed Campus on 28th February 2025.

Who was Dr Peter Scott-Morgan? The short of it would be a death defying madman who took risk after risk as an act of both hubris and self-preservation. But that sounds a little too much like Evel Keneval or anyone from Jackass. No, Dr. Peter Scott-Morgan was a robotics scientist who in the face of a terminal illness decided to take everything he learned over his illustrious career and attempt to turn that into immortality. -- Episode Written by Adam Smith -- Join our Discord server! https://bit.ly/deepcutsdiscord -- Pick up some Deep Cuts T-Shirts and other merch! https://bit.ly/deepcutsmerch -- Get the official Deep Cuts shoulder patch! http://bit.ly/deepcuts_patch -- Listen to our album, a 9 song rock opera about the rise and fall of Napster! https://open.spotify.com/album/63C5uu1tkzZ2FhfsrSSf5s?si=q4WItoNmRUeM159TxKLWew
