Touted as the next evolution in reality dating, the show featured 13 exciting contestants vying to win Antonio's heart. Michael Fairman has over 35 years experience in the Soap Opera industry. Everything from on-air camera hosting, journalism, host of numerous online shows, and lead story writer/ producer for E! Entertainment, SOAPnet, Dick Clark Productions and more. It wasn't until last year that I found out Michael is a musician. It's amazing that you can know someone for so long and not know their passion. Today we talk about Michael's new release "Other Side", but most importantly going after your dreams and inspiring yourself no matter where you are in your life. We speak about the importance of not letting other people make you feel like your dream is a bad idea. On this episode of Blunt Force Truth, Chuck and Mark are joined by Antonio Sabato Jr. as they focus on the importance of faith and gratitude during dark times. They also get to hear more about some of Antonio’s latest work. Today’s show rundown: · Some insight into Antonio’s upcoming film · Antonio’s new book laying out his own “American Dream” · How God has Changed Antonio’s life · How some people take the opportunity to live in the United States for granted · Antonio’s long history of auto racing and how it shaped his life · Their thoughts on how our country will recover from the Coronavirus · The importance of believing in your faith during dark times · How gratitude can help anyone at their darkest times More about Antonio Sabato Jr.: Antonio Sabato Jr. once overlooked Time Square from a 90-foot billboard dressed only in his Calvin Klein underwear. The iconic fashion designer hired the actor to be the company’s first celebrity model since Mark Wahlberg and it was shot by famed photographer, Herb Ritts. That combination caused a sensation when the photos appeared in every magazine and hundreds of billboards throughout the world. His big break came, at the start of his career, when he was cast in the infamous Janet Jackson video “Love Will Never Do Without You,” shot by Herb Ritts. Everything started, however, when Antonio joined the cast of ABC’s General Hospital in the spring of 1992. The show jumped from seventh to third in the daytime Nielsen ratings. That same year, Antonio landed a coveted spot in People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” issue. Antonio reprised his famed General Hospital character, Jagger Cates on SoapNet’s Night Shift and also starred on the popular CBS daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful playing a role created specifically for him. Growing up in Rome, Since then, Antonio Sabato, Jr. has had a long and varied career which recently included starting in the upcoming film One Nation Under God, also guest-starring on roles on ABC’s, Castle, ABC Family’s Baby Daddy, as well as on Bones and Hot In Cleveland. He was seen in Investigation Discovery’s Heartbreakers, FX’s The League and you could tune in every weekday to see him host his own syndicated renovation show, Fix It & Finish It. The half hour program took viewers around the country to find homes, cabins, RV’s and even tree houses that needed a makeover both inside and out. Antonio and his team of contractors and designers went in and did their magic all in one day with renovation results that astounded and change lives. While shooting Fix It and Finish It, Antonio was asked to join the cast of Dancing With The Stars, anoffer he couldn’t refuse, so he was demolishing houses by day and dancing with pro-partner, Cheryl Burke by night. He managed to keep up a hectic schedule and delight fans of both shows with his dancing and handy household hints.   We come to you from the Some Office studio at the Cards Against Humanity building while reading aloud pages from a binder full of *NSYNC fan fiction found at a thrift store. Topics featured in this episode: using Spotify against one's will, coffee from Mariano's as black as midnight on a moonless night yet somehow still also having sugar-free vanilla syrup and almond milk, Soapnet, W.G. Snuffy Walden and playing Sixpence None the Richer on a keyboard after consuming DayQuil while recurrently forgetting the melody. Oh yeah, there's what we're reading from in the binder too, accompanied by Sacha's piano. In this episode, our narrator Kelly's adventures include coming home with her fiancé (Joey Fatone from *NSYNC), overwhelmed from the premier for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” (that Joey was apparently in and was also somehow the spokesperson for). Kelly thinks about getting a job though Joey reminds her he has plenty of money. In New York they dine with Joey's parents, run into Kelly's ex, and prepare for Joey's audition for the “Rent.” They also talk about their wedding. All the while, they continue to recover from a series of disappointments, compounded by an ominous envelope arriving that contains pictures of Joey with his arm around a blonde girl, accompanied by a note that asks, “Where does he go when he leaves you?”, leaving her reeling. Tiesha Brunson was born on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and grew up in North Jersey. She attended a Catholic elementary school, an all-girls Catholic high school, and a Catholic college—but grew up Baptist. She spent some time in Madrid, Spain; then, over the summer, she interned for Cinemax between her junior and senior year and secured a position as a production assistant at HBO in New York City following graduation. She graduated cum laude from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with a double major in communications and Spanish. After three years at HBO, she accepted a position as a writer/producer at BET Networks in Washington, D.C. Two years later, she moved to Los Angeles, California and became an employee of “The Mouse,” the Disney/ABC Television Group. She, first, worked for the cable network, SOAPnet, as a writer/producer. A couple of years later, she moved over to the network side and got her dream position at ABC working as a writer/producer on her favorite soap, “All My Children.” Within one year, Tiesha was promoted to director of on-air promotions where she managed two award-winning creative teams on both coasts. During her 10-plus years at ABC, she oversaw the writing, producing, and marketing of promos for “The View,” “All My Children,” “One Life to Live,” and “General Hospital.” The network won multiple sweeps periods, year after year. Amidst all of this, she got married and had four kids, all girls, back to back. After child number four, she started her own production company, Queens Consulting LLC. Tiesha worked on various primetime promos and proofread best-selling novels, and had another baby girl. This happened all while shuttling her girls around to auditions, gymnastics, karate, and Zumba classes, from Burbank to Santa Monica. In 2016, she and her family decided to relocate back to the East Coast to help out other family members. Since then, Tiesha decided to take her marketing skills into the higher education sector. She was hired as the Director of Admissions Communications & Marketing at Georgian Court University in central New Jersey. Her Catholic-educated upbringing was put to good use. In one year, she helped raise enrollment for first-year and transfer students through promotional videos and printed materials. She had her last baby, another girl, in the midst of writing her own romance novel, and started blogging about her life as a mother of six girls at allmommyissues.com. And she's not done yet. What you'll learn about in this episode: How Tiesha's career path led her from working in marketing and on-air promotions in network television to working in higher education marketing How Tiesha brought Spanish-language marketing to her university to reach out to the untapped local Latinx community How Spanish-language outreach has allowed Tiesha to engage the Department of World Languages & Cultures of the university, earning a great deal of positive feedback from her efforts How Tiesha tailors marketing efforts toward the interests of prospective students, helping her prioritize their budget How Tiesha works to balance her hectic career with her role as a married mother of six daughters, and why a good support team has been key to her success How being a parent has influenced Tiesha's work and pushed her to help educate parents and students on the enrollment process What strategies from the entertainment industry Tiesha recommends to others in higher education, including keeping videos short and concise How Tiesha works with many different departments within the university to achieve results, and how she comes up with her innovative marketing efforts How Tiesha prioritizes her day to ensure she tackles her most important challenges Additional resources: Tiesha Brunson's LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/tieshabrunson/ All Mommy Issues blog: www.allmommyissues.com Website: www.theundeclaredpodcast.com
