This week gets a little deep guys! The bros start off with NBA as usual and more AD woes, make their Christmas Day game predictions and give props to Devin Booker and Kemba Walker. Also, they had an in-depth conversation on depression, mental health and society's norm with handling the topic stemming from the news that 22 year old, Tyrell Terry retired from the NBA due to depression and anxiety. It leads to an emotional discussion with very candid viewpoints on how to deal with these issues with both yourself and your circle. Lastly, and very important, RIP to Stephen "tWitch" Boss. In a reversion of the usual schedule, Mark Schindler is here to break down a few different topics. First, we start with something I have a vague idea about scrolling through Twitter and looking at fans' pages: are NBA fans more engaged in nightly results from their team than ever? Why would that be? It seems like fans are living and dying more than ever with the results of games before Christmas, so Mark and I explore what's happening. But then we move onto the big news, which is Anthony Davis being out for a month. What should the Lakers do? Then, we move to Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets, a team that is on fire since Jacque Vaughn took over for Steve Nash. What's going on with the Nets? And just how realistic is a Kevin Durant MVP push? Finally, we finish with a Keyonte George scouting report, and a quick note on recent NBA retiree Tyrell Terry. Learn more about your ad choices. Welcome back to another episode of SFHM! This was a slow news week, but the fellas once again came through with fire content. Also, before we dive into the sports the guys have a spirited debate about gift giving specifically is it time, we end the gift era. Bryce seems to think so and debates the ethics of it. Also, it was also discovered during this topic that Eric once gave someone a towel for Christmas. So, we're not sure if he's even qualified to discuss gift giving. Anyway, let's get to today's docket. First, we discuss the NFL specifically the season ending injury to Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. We also give an update on former Bills punter Matt Araiza, who was facing charges of gang rape which resulted in the Bills releasing Araiza. On the NBA side of things, the guys give an update on their respective teams. Well, everyone except Luh Bryce as the Bulls are currently not worth talking about. The guys also discuss Stephen Curry's recent injury which will sideline the 2022 Finals MVP for at least a month. Lastly, the guys have a serious talk about former Mavericks player Tyrell Terry retiring due to anxiety. We have all of this and more so remember if you didnt hear it from the horse's mouth stop listening to the ass who told you. SONG OF THE EPISODE: SZA- Blind

In this episode, Bibs and Reese are once again joined by a guest from the Mavs media world. This time it is the host of the Mavs Stepback podcast (@StepBackMavs) and writer for Mavericks Sports Illustrated (@MavericksSI), Dalton Trigg. This episode is a long one because we covered a lot of topics and did a deep dive into the upcoming NBA season. First, we addressed the Dallas Mavericks' most recent cuts, most specifically cutting the 31st pick in last year's draft Tyrell Terry. Both Dalton and Reese are Tyrell Terry guys so they had some thoughts on this topic. We moved on to discussing Dennis Smith, Jr. making the Blazers' final roster after receiving a camp invite. Finally, we had to ask Dalton a few key questions to gauge his feelings about the Mavs offseason. In the next portion of the pod, the three of us made our season awards predictions and you'll hear some names you may not be expecting. Finally, after Dalton had to leave, Bibs and Reese give you their NBA standings through the play-in teams and go round-by-round to give their playoff results. 00:00:00 - 00:05:39 Intros 00:05:55 - 00:13:07 Tyrell Terry/Frank Ntilikina talk 00:13:11 - 00:17:01 Dennis Smith, Jr. 00:17:12 - 00:26:47 Questions for Dalton 00:28:11 - 01:03:08 Season Awards predictions 01:04:33 - 02:14:14 Final Standings and Playoff results Enjoy As always you can find Bibs on Twitter @Bibscorner and Reese on Twitter and Instagram @MindofReese. On this episode, Dalton Trigg (@dalton_trigg) and Matt Galatzan (@Matt_Galatzan) are joined by fellow DallasBasketball.com colleague Lance Roberson (@lance_972) to discuss the good vibes the Dallas Mavericks are experiencing so far with new head coach Jason Kidd at the helm, and whether or not that can last for a full season. From there, the guys talk about the parts of preseason we can actually put stock into, expectations for the Mavs as currently constructed, and which player is going to get cut or traded before next Thursday when the season begins? Dallas currently has 16 guaranteed rosters, so at least one player has to go. Will it be Trey Burke? What about Tyrell Terry? All those questions and more are answered right here. The Outsiders blessed you with a bonus episode a few days ago and still stuck to their regularly scheduled programming. This week, Bibs and Reese had plenty to talk about. First, we went over the results of the survey we posted online. Thank you to everyone who contributed. We got a lot of great feedback and there will be changes coming based on that feedback. Then we got into the basketball talk. We started by going over both Dallas Mavericks preseason games and things that stood out before focusing on a few key developments. First, the emergence of one of our two-way players, Eugene Omoruyi. Can he earn real rotation minutes this year? Then we had to address the Josh Green and Tyrell Terry discussion that is happening online. This was a Bibs rant. Finally, we moved on to Jason Kidd's comments about not living and dying by the 3 before talking about the NBA GM survey results. It's a longer podcast but we hope you'll enjoy the content. 0:00:00 - 0:03:36 Intros 0:03:50 - 0:36:58 Mavs Outsiders survey results 0:38:10 - 0:50:48 Mavs Preseason takeaways 0:50:48 - 0:55:59 Eugene Omoruyi 0:56:00 - 1:07:24 Josh Green rant 1:09:45 - 1:17:39 Jason Kidd comments 1:17:40 - 1:28:20 GM Survey Enjoy!

2020 NBA Draft Primer: This segment isn't about my projected draft order, but a breakdown of all the relevant players expected to be picked in the top 40. In a draft that's not considered elite or top-heavy, there's a good chance teams selecting lower end up with the best players, similar to the infamous Anthony Bennett draft. If you're a team picking in the 10-15 range but like someone projected to go 16-30, THIS is the kind of unpredictable, volatile draft where you must REACH. For instance, if you're the Suns GM and like Tyrell Terry, this is the year to take a chance in the lottery because there's no serious dropoff in the talent level that follows. Picks 1-5 are just as unpredictable as 5-14, 15-30, 31-60. This is gonna be fun! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

On today's episode, The Stepien's Spencer Pearlman stops by to talk 2020 NBA Draft with Evan. They go over six more prospects who could make sense in Phoenix.First up, Grant Riller and Theo Maledon are two intriguing guards with different qualities. If the Suns traded back, would either one make sense as a bench piece? Then, Spencer and Evan dive into Tyrell Terry and Jalen Smith. Terry has a big range on draft boards, but Spencer is worried about him being able to translate his scoring onto the next level with a true lack of size. Meanwhile, Jalen Smith could be exactly what the Suns need if they're looking for a long-term backup center behind Deandre Ayton. Finally, we close the show with two heavy hitters: Devin Vassell and Anthony Edwards. Could Vassell bring a similar brand of basketball to Phoenix as Mikal Bridges? Edwards is a boom-or-bust prospect who could either be a huge success or get a GM fired soon. What should the Suns prioritize in the 2020 draft class? Spencer provides his answer in an in-depth episode as we dip our toes back into draft talk! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Chad and John discuss the power of Mock Drafts and how it affects NBA front offices and then dig into several "Mock Draft guys" -- Tyrell Terry, Tyrese Maxey, Nico Mannion, Jalen McDaniels and Precious Achiuwa -- who may be rated higher on the internet boards than they are on NBA front office boards. They also talk about lottery sleeper Aaron Nesmith and several other late first round sleepers. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
