S7E3 aired live on Rebel Rock Radio at 19h00 on 18 Jan 2024. It ended up being one of my favourite shows ever. The end was gloriously spontaneous, and the people tuned in were just awesome. Going round the world in 40 min at the end of the show was amazing, unplanned and a great way to say goodnight. The Immortals track in the episode was Rainbow's ‘Light in the Black'. This comes off the Rising album, one of the greatest albums to come out of the ‘70s This weeks Diabolical Challenge looked at four bands beginning with the letter ‘C'. The four albums were Chickenfoot III, London Calling, Blast Tyrant, and Electric: The tracks played were. Bleach that hair and spray that Aquanet, as we once again dive hair-first into the world of obscure glam metal. Whether you call it: glam metal, hair metal, cock rock, or hard rock… this time we are focusing on bands that include the color “white” in their band name. For some reason, Whitesnake, White Lion, and Great White all had tremendous success around the exact same time in the mid-to-late 80s. Was there luck in the name? Were there more “white…” bands out there at the same time? What are we all about here at InObscuria? Every week your two hosts crawl down to the crypts to exhume obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. If you dig it… go dig it up and buy it! Support these artists and keep your devil horns high in the air!Songs this week include:White Tiger – “White Hot Desire” from White Tiger (1986)White Heat – “Rock And A Hard Place” from Demo (1988) White Heat – “Rolling” from Krakatoa (1983)White Wolf – “Homeward Bound” from Standing Alone (1984)White Heart – “Nailed Down” from Powerhouse (1990)White Sister – “Don't Say That You're Mine” from White Sister (1984)Whitecross – “Enough Is Enough” from Whitecross (1987)White Trash – “Po' White Trash” from White Trash (1991)Please subscribe everywhere that you listen to podcasts!Visit us: https://inobscuria.com/https://www.facebook.com/InObscuriahttps://twitter.com/inobscuriahttps://www.instagram.com/inobscuria/Buy cool stuff with our logo on it!: https://www.redbubble.com/people/InObscuria?asc=uCheck out Robert's amazing fire sculptures and metal workings here: http://flamewerx.com/If you'd like to check out Kevin's band THE SWEAR, take a listen on all streaming services or pick up a digital copy of their latest release here: https://theswear.bandcamp.com/If you want to hear Robert and Kevin's band from the late 90s – early 00s BIG JACK PNEUMATIC, check it out here: https://bigjackpnuematic.bandcamp.com/
In part 3 of our ongoing investigation into "Empires Fall," we examine how Night Demon came to work with producer Matt Hyde on this track, including Armand's long history with him. The band describes their experience in working with an outside producer and reflects on whether Night Demon really needs an outside ear in the studio. The guys also explain how and why they tapped Josh Newell for the final mix of the song. You will also hear in detail from the three guests who contributed gang vocals, including their relationship with Night Demon, how they came to be involved in "Empires Fall," and their experiences in the studio. Night Demon talk about how honored they were to have friends and musicians who influenced them contribute to this track, and how the guest vocalists lent punk credibility to the song. This show was tough, it went out on 11 Feb 2021 at 7 pm and I had just returned from an overseas trip and was running on very little sleep. It was put together very quickly and started off fittingly with Thin Lizzy's 'The Boys Are Back In Town'. After that it was a few more from the 70's in the form of ACDC and Bad Company and we were off into the usual TSORR fare.A highlight for me was Porcupine Tree's Radioactive Toy, Steven Wilson at his best in my opinion. I also enjoyed the contrast of going from Mastodon to Neil Young. While overseas I saw a most interesting documentary about Suzi Quatro so we listened to her and also to Lita Ford as I have just finished her book Living Like a Runaway. There is some hectic stuff in that book. My view of Tony Iommi took a hit I have to say. I played a track off the new Foo Fighters and another off Too mean to Die, Accepts' latest album. All in all, it was a bit different to normal, no SA stuff at all which is a first and only one Aussie band. This wasn't planned, I just didn't get a chance to review the show before I went on air so I will fix that next week. Artists featured: Thin Lizzy, ACDC, Bad Company, Adrenaline Mob, Royal Blood, Voices of Extreme, Great White, Slaughter, UFO, Desperado, Marilyn Manson, Halestorm, Lita Ford, The Raven Age, Suzi Quatro, The Sweet, Mastodon, Neil Young, David Bowie, The Damned, Stiff Little Fingers, Porcupine Tree, Alice in Chains, Shinedown, Kiss, Five Finger Death Punch, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, White Wizzard, Night Ranger, Accept, Foo Fighters, Nashville Pussy, Volbeat, Barry McGuire

Season 2 Episode 4 played out at midnight on 24 January 2020 and it was great fun and pretty much seamless. The show kicked off with Queensrÿche and ‘Spreading the Disease' and then straight into Dio with The King of Rock ‘n' Roll. From there it was balls to the wall through until 2 am. The Black Cat Bones and Fokofpolisiekar took care of the South African music, ACDC did the honours for Aussie, Accept represented Germany, Pink Floyd, and Billy Bragg were some of those from the UK, the USA was well represented as always and the colours were represented by Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. We took a listen to a new-ish band called 3Teeth who are making waves at the moment, see what you think, I find it Marilyn Manson-ish. After that is was the turn of a band formed in California in around 2007 called White Wizzard, the audience loved it. It was definitely a highlight of the show, check it out, the track was called Storm the Shores and the guitar work is great. Seether as always can be relied on to keep the show on track and then we had two tracks perfectly demonstrating one of the things TSORR radio Show is known for, notifiable guitar. Adrenaline Mob with Mike Orlando showing us how to solo and then straight after that, no stranger to the show, Animal Bites, Dino Jelusic's band with a proper cover version of Roxette's ‘The Look'. Dino's voice is as always off the scale good and I'm not sure who is on guitar but he is all over this. The Rolling Stones ably represented the bands formed in the '60s and then it was time for something new on the show. If you listen regularly you will have picked up that I am of the Van Halen school of thought i.e. that songs between 2 and 4 minutes are perfect. Alex Van Halen once said they don't plan it that way, that's just how long it takes to say what you gotta say and move onto the next one. This means that we are missing out on some good stuff so to remedy that I decided to play one 7 min or longer song per week. The first of these was a track called A Little Piece of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold. I am happy to say the WhatsApp line loved it. Carry the Cross by Arch Enemy was exquisite, such power. Artists featured this week included: Pink Floyd, ACDC, Billy Bragg, Joe Bonamassa, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fokofpolisiekar, Queensrÿche, Bruce Springsteen, Dio, Avenged Sevenfold, Accept, Green Day, Windowpane, White Wizzard, Five Finger Death Punch, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Live, Arch Enemy, The Black Cat Bones, Animal Bites, Seether, 3Teeth, Adrenaline Mob & The Rolling Stones, From: James Daubeney

California’s Witherfall has been on a hell of a ride. In this episode we are joined by Erik Kluiber of IRONAUT and Void Vator. Erik talks with us about the new music and current happenings with both bands, writing, working with Paul Fig and Ulrich Wild, guitar lessons, The Sword, working with Omicida, touring when he was working with bands like Gypsyhawk, White Wizzard, Scattered Hamlet, and a lot more. We kick the episode off with a great new song from Ironaut, talk about the Diamond Ballroom stop of the Clutch and Zakk Sabbath tour, and we bid farewell to one of Oklahoma's great bands, Even The Dogs. Thanks for listening, and please share!
This week we try and make sense of the White Wizzard controversy with one of our guests Joeseph Michael, the ousted singer of the band who has been the focus of most his former band mate Jon Leon's misery. We also have Adam D from Killswitch Engage on to talk about the upcoming tour with Lamb of God, their album with returning singer Jesse Leech, and whether or not metalcore is dead. We also try to figure out why Danzig is a douchebag (we could do a whole show and not find the answer) after he tells his audience to go after another fan filming his performance, and whether or not you need to put your damn phone away during a live show. Songs:Killswitch Engage - "Beyond the Flames"Protest the Hero - "Without Prejudice"
