Before you sign up to work with the next business coach that promises to “to help you scale to 7-figures” you need to first ask yourself if your business is actually set up to scale? Are your offers ready to scale? The way that your business is set up operationally, will it allow you to leverage your offers, later on, to take on more clients? If you are at the $200k, $300k, or the half a million mark, then that means you know how to articulate your value, you know what problem your audience has and their objections, and you know how to sell to get bodies in the door. However, if you want to surpass $1M, you must ensure your systems operationally behind the scenes are set up to get you there. These systems need to be in place BEFORE you throw additional marketing at your scalability problem. If your offer is almost entirely dependent on you showing up, then I hate to break it to you, but NO, this is NOT a scalable business model. In this episode, I talk you through the process of how to get real with yourself, so you can ask yourself the honest question of “which offer is the one that will get me beyond $1M?” Will your current offer be the one to get you there, or not? This is a question that must be answered. It's only after you are able to be real with yourself, that clarity can reveal itself to you, in order to have the right steps you need to move forward. The mistake most 6-figure going on 7-figure entrepreneurs make is that they hire a marketing agency to help them scale before they are actually ready. Then they get swamped with more leads than they know what to do with; suddenly they're overwhelmed, burn out, and end up quitting the game altogether. I don't want that to happen to you. That's why in this episode I am sharing all the millionaire secrets to scaling that most business coaches don't want you to know. Listen if you are ready to scale your business beyond $1M, and want to save years of mistakes, headaches, and hundreds of thousands of dollars. This one's for you! Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Marketing will break your business faster than anything else if your offer isn't actually scaleable, to begin with. If the offer itself, is not set up to scale from the backend-- then adding more marketing could put you in a position of heightened overwhelm instead. When you are a selling high-ticket program, ads may buy you leads, but ads won't convert by themselves. Manual touchpoints, with human interaction, are still required to close the sale. Be careful about what is marketed to you --you need to be savvy enough to know what you actually need and when your business needs it. Explaining the major difference between monthly recurring revenue and huge 1-hit-wonder launches. Are you more focused on $100k launches or are you more interested in having 100k months? And lots more! Tune in now. This episode is brought to you by LEVERAGE: Today's episode is brought to you by my group coaching program LEVERAGE. Have you ever been afraid of doing sales calls, for fear of coming off as sleazy or manipulative? I know, many of us have been there, especially Christian businesswomen. We want to make sure we aren't feeling like we are manipulating people into buying our offers. The good news is sales doesn't have to be sleazy! This ONE major mindset shift I share today, will help make sure you're staying in alignment with your values and integrity as you conduct sales calls. I promise it will forever change the game on how you do sales calls! Want to know what it is? Here's my secret. When I get on sales calls, I put myself in a mindset of service. I train my team members to do the same. I believe this one shift will be a total gamechanger for you, allowing you to say bye-bye nerves and hello to showing up with confidence leading your sales conversations. When you get on a sales conversation, your mindset should be “how can I best serve them? How can I help them figure out what their next best step should be?” Contrary to popular belief, when you are being of service to someone, that does not equate to giving everything away for free. When your goal is serving, you come from the perspective of helping them make the best decision for themselves. It's not about you at all. It's all about them. What is best for them? If you do this, then the sales conversation is no longer about whether they work with you or not, rather it's about enrolling them in a decision one way or the other (yes or no). So how do you get good at sales? The only way to do that is to participate in a constant shedding process of your own ego and entitlement. Sales is all about understanding the psychology of your buyer, how they make buying decisions, then honing your ability to articulate the value you deliver. Remember sales is actually not about your branding, building a website, or how big your audience is. When I started my business, I initially was able to grow without any branding or a fancy website--all because I've always been good at sales. I leveraged the skills I learned upselling people into larger bowls of Coldstone ice cream, talking to customers at Chrysler about the benefits of vehicles they were going to buy, and selling my skillset into higher positions when I was in corporate America. If you learn how to sell, it will aid you in anything and everything you want to do. Make the invitation for someone to work with you. Guide the client to make the decision, which is the next best step for them; not just what's best for your ego. This is how you will master sales. Tune in to today's episode to hear me go more in-depth to this revolutionary approach. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Sales is a contact sport--the more contact you make, the more sales you will have. In the online world, contact happens through live video. Conversions happen through conversation. You need to talk to strangers! Have conversations with people, have intimate human interaction. Transformation happens after the transaction. You can not facilitate the highest level of transformation you can unless a transaction happens first. It is your responsibility to create opportunities for the transaction to take place, and for you to make the invitation. How to recognize your transferable skills and leverage them to communicate your value. And lots more! Tune in now. I'll help you think through whether you have positioned yourself as enough of an expert to charge high-ticket, by narrowing your niche. Hear me out: most of us aren't mature enough yet in our business to be closing $15k clients, with no point of human contact. I'm not saying to scrap sales calls completely, all I'm saying is delegate them instead. There are 3 main ways to enroll someone in your high-ticket group coaching program: sales pages, sales calls, and Direct Message. For the Tony Robbins of the world, they might be able to sell a $15k program off a sales page without any direct conversations, that might work-- but I don't have that kind of clout. And you probably don't either. Until then, YES, you STILL NEED sales calls and DMs in your business, in order to maintain that human touchpoint. For high ticket programs, the average sales page only converts 1% - 2% of prospects. If you don't believe me, run your numbers. However, the conversion rate for DM sales is about 10%-15% and for sales calls it's even higher, sitting at about 60%-70% conversion rate. That's a pretty big gap, right? Shocker I know! I love doing sales calls because of their high conversion rate. Many people have gotten rid of sales calls in an attempt to automate their business. I mean, if you have a large audience and your business can afford to close less than 2%, then by all means, keep tweaking your long-form sales page and spending oodles of money hiring copywriters, investing in launch plans, and paying FB to run your ads. Otherwise, expand your perspective to consider a different approach. In today's episode, I'm going to walk you through my approach to closing 98% of clients via DMs using the Messenger Money™ Method. If you are making $250-500k a year and are still primarily responsible for all the sales in your company, then there are two options: 1) either delegate everything else, so you have time to do sales OR 2) you need to delegate your sales so you can focus on growing and doing everything else. TBH, this was really hard for me to do. At first, I thought all I needed to do to get capacity back was stop working with 1:1 clients privately. So I shifted my 1:1 services into a group container. Once I repackaged my 1:1 offer into a leveraged, high-ticket group coaching program, my monthly recurring revenue grew exponentially. Only then did I realize that I was STILL spending too much time in the sales department. When you make $20-30k months, you'll again hit another capacity limit. At some point, you've got to do more than just automate your sales. You've got to DELEGATE them! You can't be responsible for ALL the lead nurturing, the lead sourcing, AND the lead conversion. It's TOO MUCH. (Caveat) - if you want to grow a 7-figure business. As you grow, your capacity must evolve as well. If you're tired of paying Mark Zuckerberg all your money to get your funnel up and running, then this episode is for you! We talk about where you might be the bottleneck in your company and not even realize it and how to shift what you are responsible for in your business. So, is it time for you to delegate your sales calls? Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Explaining the methods I used to learn how to: Improve my lead qualification (niche down even more) & qualify prospects via DM Infuse sales psychology into my marketing, so my sales calls weren't doing all the heavy lifting in the process The 3 most effective ways to enroll a prospect into your high-ticket program are: sales pages, sales calls, Direct Message conversations How I leverage free organic content and DM conversations to close 98% of my clients, and how you can too! Knowing when it's time to stop being the bottleneck in your company and delegate your sales calls to a team member after you document your processes And lots more! Tune in now. If you are on the fence about whether you should join a higher-end group coaching program that is $6k-20k, or whether you should just hire a 1-1 coach for $2-10k, then this is for you. You should know up front that there's a different way you must hold yourself accountable in a group coaching program, over private 1:1 coaching. There is a major difference between the level of support you get from a DIY course and a group coaching program. When you really think about it, courses tend to only teach you information, where the creator leaves it up to you to implement the strategies. However, a high-ticket group coaching program has support built into the offer itself, where the creator invests time coaching you, helping you with the implementation of strategies that are being taught, and providing a space for you to get support both from your peers and the coach themselves. Yet, clients are often most hesitant about joining a group coaching program because they want 1:1 support, and are fearful they won't get that in a group container. Let me be clear: most group coaching programs have 1:1 support. The caveat is it's 's just NOT PRIVATE, but it's still personalized 1:1 direct support. This is an important distinction to make. The clarifying question you need to ask yourself is: What do I really need to get results? Am I just wanting to ensure I receive 1:1 attention, answering specific questions as they come up? If the answer is yes, then a group coaching program may be exactly what you are looking for because you still get personalized answers and the benefit of other people doing it with you at the same time. It's a 2-for-1. For example, anytime a concern or question is brought up a group coaching call, the client IS getting specific 1:1 support. It just isn't private. Most of us have never understood group programs through this lens, that 1:1 support is included, just not behind closed doors. If you are nervous about showing up with vulnerability in a group container, I get that. But I think this is something as a business owner, you must work on. If you ever desire to lead a team or work with high-level clients of your own, you must first learn how to ask clear questions and diagnose the real problem that needs to be solved. What's really causing you to feel that hesitation of being vulnerable if you are in a group container where other people are experiencing the exact same problems? Before you make the investment, this is a conscious decision you must make. You must evaluate - do I actually need private 1-1 support? OR am I just looking for a container that will give me personalized and customized feedback, when I ask for it, and in a timely manner? If you just want to make sure your questions are answered, with direct feedback on the questions you have, then a group container will be amazing for you! The benefit of a group coaching program is that when you ask questions about a specific situation, you not only get the main coach's response, but you also benefit from the experience and wisdom from your peers, who've worked through the exact problems you have questions about. Since they are on the same journey you are on, they can offer perspectives that are directly applicable. It's a win-win. There are several ways to hold yourself accountable in a group coaching program. This includes but is not limited to: asking your own questions, sharing a win and how you did it, sharing a lesson learned (read--failure) and how you bounced back, or through answering other people's questions by providing your perspective. Or for example, my best clients are fully present on our group coaching calls --they come with their camera on, their notebook out, and are there ready to contribute or to absorb and learn as much as possible. These are all active ways to show up, be involved, be fully present and get the most out of your group coaching investment. If you want to learn how to get the most value out of your group coaching program, while still ensuring you get the level of support you need, then this episode is for you. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: There is a big difference in the way you must conduct yourself and hold yourself accountable in a group container vs. private 1:1 coaching A course is usually DIY experience --meaning a self-study curriculum that teaches you the information, without a heavy amount of individualized attention, coaching support, or in-depth community to help you with implementation In group coaching programs, 1:1 support is ALWAYS provided, it's just not private support. Any time you ask a question, you are getting 1:1 support to answer that question, it's just not private. Vulnerability is required as a business owner, in order for you to grow in a group container Your coach can only hold you accountable to the level that you hold yourself accountable. You must hold yourself accountable, in order for your coach to help you get the full results they promised. It's not your coach's job to do all the heavy lifting for you. Holding yourself accountable can be you offering a perspective or sharing a mistake and how you fixed it. It doesn't mean you always have to have all the answers. And lots more! Tune in now. This episode talks about how to create firm boundaries when you transition from serving 1:1 clients to a group coaching program. Clarifying your boundaries is key in having successful relationships with clients, especially in group settings. You must re-educate your clients about what 1:1 support looks like in a group coaching environment. I help you get clear on the promise you are delivering, how to set boundaries around the level of access to you that clients have, and the importance of educating your clients on how a group container works and benefits them. There are 3 things you need to do, in order to align your group coaching program with your ideal client. Define your audience. You must understand what their past experiences with group coaching programs are, and then know how those experiences are informing their beliefs about what a group coaching program entails. Know the type of learning environment your audience excels in. Recognize your own coaching style, so you can set clear expectations from the start. Proactively acknowledge where the gaps may be in your process. Misalignment of expectations often occurs because people are misinformed about how much access they get to you as the creator during the program, the number of touchpoints they will have, and the curriculum itself. You, as the creator, as the business coach must get clear on the gaps you actually want to address and teach. If you need help aligning your clients' expectations, with how your group program will actually run, then this episode is for you! Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: The need to re-educate your clients about what they can expect from you when you are doing a group program, instead of doing 1:1 Determine where your boundaries need to be. What are you promising vs. what is overdelivering? Where do the hard boundaries need to exist? Transitioning from codependency to a co-working relationship with your clients where you help them do it for themselves Debunking the myth that group coaching programs don't have any 1:1 support The 3 things you need to do manage client expectations effectively Understanding whether you coach more from masculine energy or feminine energy. Does your client need more therapeutic, encouraging support at this time, or do they need more analytical and strategic? Most coaches will default to one or the other. Clients need to understand what they need and you must clearly communicate the expectations of what you will deliver. And lots more! Tune in now. Here are a few key highlights: Do you complain about the audience you have? If so, you need to take a look at your own behavior. Once you hire a coach, do you immediately back out financially, after you've verbally committed? Are you constantly not showing up for your audience consistently? The way you show up and make decisions in life will directly reflect in how you show up in business. And lots more! Tune in now. To get to the $5k - $10k/mth level, you said yes to whatever you had to say yes to. I get it. Bills still have to be paid. But if you want to get off of this hustle-hamster wheel you have created and want to actually build a sustainable coaching business, then you have to make some different decisions. To get to the next level, of reaching $20k, 30k, 50k months, you must step into your higher CEO decision-making self. The #1 secret that will change the game for you? Stop doing things that don't bring you profit. This episode will teach you how to craft your TO-DON'T list so you start setting boundaries around your time, energy, and capacity; enabling you to focus on the key revenue streams that are bringing you the most profit, driving your business forward, and allowing you to scale. If you want to make more money, what's required is to decide WHAT you need to start saying NO to. Set your boundaries and stick to them. You don't need a new offer. You just need to maximize your efforts around your most profitable revenue stream. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: The number 1 mistake new coaches make when trying to scale their business is to create another new program, to try and help them scale. In reality, this does the opposite. Creating another program and/or giving more 1-1 access to you, is NOT the way to solve the problem. To scale your business simply STRIP AWAY ANY AND EVERYTHING that is NOT driving profit. Look at your numbers so you can make data-driven decisions Ask yourself: How much time am I spending on each offer? Which one is generating me the MOST amount of $$$, in the least amount of time? Which one is generating the LEAST amount of $$$, but taking the most time? How to write a list of the clients you need to start saying no to And lots more! Tune in now. Selling high ticket services was the furthest thing on my mind when I launched my business. My business journey started years ago, and like everyone else on these internet streets, I thought more offers meant more money. ⠀ Because common sense right? Nope. Common sense isn't always good sense.⠀ When I discovered Canva, I became instantly obsessed. First I started creating the cute pink and white PDFs, then came the cheap course, and ebooks. After launching my first couple of e-products with little profit to show for all the busy work I was doing, I mused that there must be a better way.⠀⠀ I wasted so much time crafting all these offers because I anticipated that I could easily float past any price objection by down-selling someone if a prospect seemed hesitant. This thought process was the furthest thing from the truth. ⠀ I have since learned that one of the biggest pitfalls to this common yet unprofitable approach is that you set yourself up to be underpaid and overworked. If you're already working full-time, between your 9-5 and family responsibilities, you don't have the capacity to try to surpass your paycheck with $100 an hour consulting sessions. There just aren't enough hours in the day. ⠀ Instead of copying the millionaire girl bosses on Instagram, make the decision to follow a business model based on your current boundaries and resource constraints. ⠀⠀ Working as a full-time engineer, I had limited time and money to dedicate to my business. I decided that committing to selling a high ticket service would allow me to meet my income goals without sacrificing everything else I loved. ⠀ And most importantly, only selling high ticket services provided me the opportunity to work with truly committed clients. ⠀ Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: The benefits you'll have once you make the decision to commit to selling a premium-priced, high-value service: You'll start converting more leads into paying clients.⠀ You'll start getting your clients better results.⠀ It's time to determine the easiest way to get from where you are now, to where you want to be And lots more! What I’ve learned to be true is that with every breakthrough of growth, you simultaneously experience a season of grief, which is a continuous process of death to self. As you break through upper limit after upper limit of what you thought was possible, reaching new heights that you never thought could be a reality, what happens is a continual shedding and evolution of your identity. In this episode, I talk about what happens after you pray for and achieve the growth you wanted and the emotional, spiritual, and mental wherewithal required to get to the next level. What you may have never realized before is that growth simultaneously brings grief and requires a high level of vulnerability from you, if you want to continue breaking through to new levels. You might be thinking, “J, nobody died. What do you mean when you talk about grief?” Well, a part of you is actually dying. Grief in business shows up in a few different ways: Your business model has to change, where you’re no longer customizing your services from client to client You may have to cut one of your offers, no longers selling $297 DIY courses The depth of touchpoints and access you give your clients is evolving, no more private 1:1’s Your identity as the leader and CEO of your company must evolve. No longer can you view yourself as just someone who makes content; but you’ll begin to see yourself as a true CEO, who is responsible for decision making and who is capable of the new challenges that success has introduced. The internal dialogue needs to shift from: “What do I want?” to “Who do I need to become?” “How do I avoid the discomfort of my past?” to “What tools do I need to heal my childhood traumas?” “That’s not possible” to “How do I rewrite old truths and evolve my belief system?” When people say you have to work hard to make it, this is the REAL work that’s required. You must choose to relearn, rewrite and recondition the thoughts that used to protect you but no longer serve who you are becoming. So how do you confront the identity evolutions happening inside you? Straight on, with vulnerability and courage. You may not want to hear this, but vulnerability is the only way to the other side. I know, being vulnerable and putting on your Brene Brown britches is not easy. But welcome to being human. We all struggle with it, but at this stage, it’s what’s required to get to the next level. And yes, you absolutely can choose to avoid being vulnerable. You can say: I don't want to ask for help. I don't want to do the work that I'm really avoiding, which is this internal junk stuff that I need to work through. You CAN choose NOT to do that, but understand that decision comes at a cost. Choosing to NOT be vulnerable will absolutely impact your ability to continue to deliver at these new levels. It will absolutely impact your ability to continue growing internally and how you grow externally within your business. I’ll leave you with this nugget: what is required either anytime you experience growth is to recognize there's also a part of you that's experiencing grief. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: The continual evolution of your identity must happen if you want to keep growing. Here are some key questions you must ask if you want to go to the next level: Are you open, willing, and committed to dying to the current version of yourself, in order to evolve into the person you are meant to become? Are you truly prepared to handle the whiplash that happens when you experience fast growth? Meaning are you emotionally solid enough, to maintain stability while experiencing the mood swings of your ego? Are you mentally equipped to withstand the identity disassociation that occurs every time you break upper limit, after upper limit? Are you spiritually in tune to remain aligned, present, and obedient to your calling and not cave to your comfort zone? And lots more! Tune in now. When I was still working my 9-5 and was working with clients, I was asking myself “how do I position my business to leverage beyond 1:1s so I can experience $8-15k months?” Want to know how I did it? Today I’m outlining the 3 key steps I took to be able to leverage my 1:1 offer into a group coaching program. #1 The Conscious Decision to Make Short-Term Sacrifices For a period of time, I made the conscious decision to sacrifice my free time. This meant waking up earlier to work before my 9-5, working during my lunch hour, doing coaching calls with clients in my car during my 2-hour commute, not hanging out with friends--yes, literally all the things. If you want to transition from 1:1 with clients to a group coaching program, then you need foresight. You must ask yourself: What am I willing to sacrifice right now, to position myself for what I want in the future? For how long are you willing to commit to this? Put a timeframe around it. I would not recommend making it indefinite. You are better able to make short-term sacrifices when you know it has an expiration date in the near future. A lot of upfront work must happen in the beginning, in order to build the right foundation to be scaled later; but if you do it well once, then you can leverage it. #2 Recognizing sales as a contact sport When you’re first starting your business, your #1 priority should be infusing an influx of cash into your business. Cash gives you the capacity to actually be able to scale. Commit to making contact with your prospects every day. The more contact you make, the more sales you will have. Commit to doing one live video every day or once a week. Be willing to have conversations - get on the sales calls, have those DM conversations. Actual conversations allow you to convert someone into a $3k, $9k, or $15k program. Sales pages alone won’t do this. #3 Commit to a strategy that aligns with the capacity you have available. If you are a busy mom and wife trying to juggle all the things, and wondering how to scale your business in a way that gives you capacity back, then a leveraged coaching offer is your best bet. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: What short-term sacrifice do you need to make now, that will position you for long-term success in your business? Short-term sacrifices require you to have a level of discomfort for 6-8 months to leverage your business beyond 1:1 clients later. Sales is a contact sport- if you make enough contact with enough prospects, you will make more sales. Simple as that. The secret to sticking with the commitment you made to yourself, even when you are NOT motivated and don’t feel like doing it I walk you through the best strategy for scaling your business in a lean way, including using organic lead marketing, direct-response marketing, and permission-based sales. You must know how to get proven, consistent results for your clients, before you pivot and package your 1:1 offer into a group coaching program. If you’re selling high-ticket 4-figure offers, you MUST be able to get results that are consistent. This is non-negotiable. After you’re making $20-50k a year, that’s an indicator that you have a good offer, you know how to sell it, and you have a process that gets clients results time after time. Once you hit this milestone, your next step will be choosing how to evolve your offer. Option 1: You create an agency, by building out a team to continue supporting clients in a 1:1 capacity. Option 2: you turn your 1:1 service into a repackaged, leveraged offer as a high-ticket group coaching program with high support for your clients. Either way, they’re both still the same offer, just delivered in a leveraged way that allows you to serve more clients. Tune in to today’s episode to hear how and why I made the decision to create a high-ticket group coaching program, from the results I had gotten for my 1:1 clients. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Before you try to move past 1:1 you need to have a clear offer and a clear proven process that gets clients results. Use your 1:1 coaching to first nail down your framework and make money while doing so. Learn about the 2 different ways to create a leveraged offer: building out a team or creating a high-ticket group coaching program repackaged from your 1:1 offer Once you have a proven process to get results, you can leverage it, without having to create new products When you create a new offer, you are serving a new audience--which is where more work comes in. Ever wondered how you get dream clients? It’s easy. You must first do the work to be a DREAM COACH. Ouch. Yeah, I said it. The result you are looking for starts with you first. Do not let these internet streets fool you into thinking that just because you’re building an online business, you can make however much money you want…. just because you want it. In this episode, I’m snatching some edges. I ask you the real, honest, and hard questions about your rates, charging your worth, and the value you actually deliver in your service. Pull up a seat and take some notes. It’s going to be a real one. Yes, God absolutely wants you to succeed; but the human version of you must understand what is required of you on a DAILY BASIS to reach that goal. Here are some very real (read: hard) questions you might need to ask yourself: What is required of me to close a $3,000 client? What is required of me to make $100k months? What is required of me to own and run a $5M company? Then you must ask: “Am I truly committed to doing what’s required, to make this happen?” Knowing what’s required and committing to take those daily actions are two very separate things. The truth is, knowing what’s required is your responsibility to figure out as the CEO. This is why the most successful coaches-- have coaches themselves. When you learn from someone who has done what you desire to do, they can help you become aware of what’s required. If you hire the right coach, they’ll share the step-by-step framework they used themselves, that you can implement in order to get similar results. I am not the coach to tell you to “just add some zeros to your price point because you are worth it gurl!!!” I ain’t the one. Why? Because you may not have earned it yet. Stop operating from a state of self-righteous privilege. You are not entitled to get paid, just because you want to get paid. In business, you get paid based on the value that you know how to articulate AND the value you actually deliver. I am all for high-ticket. You know I’m THE go-to coach for experts who want to launch and scale their high-ticket coaching programs. But you are NOT entitled to charge high-ticket prices IF you aren’t willing to COMMIT to the DAILY work that is required to deliver on that price point. So the question is - are you willing and fully committed to doing what’s required, not just doing what you want to do? Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: God wants you to achieve your wildest dreams and secure the bag, BUT you’ve got to first do the work and execute the discipline to get you there In business, you get paid based on the value that you know how to articulate AND based on the value you deliver. You never get paid what you’re worth because your worth as a human being is priceless. Not selling is selfish. It robs you, your family, and your clients of the transformation that could have happened had you been willing to show up with courage and sell your services. How to show up powerfully and consistently on Livestream, to secure the bag And lots more! Tune in now. In this episode, I teach you how to drown out the “what ifs” that are killing your confidence, and teach you a practical strategy to build your confidence, and help you start selling your service. Like a thief in the night, imposter syndrome creeps through the door when you least expect it, threatening to rob you of everything you’ve worked so hard to become. Before you know it, you’re frozen with fear, convinced that you don’t know enough to make even the simplest decision in your business. The distracting doubts start shouting in the back of your mind:⠀ “I can’t start selling until I have more testimonials and receipts.”⠀ “No way my audience can afford a high ticket service.” ⠀ “I need one more certification then I’ll be ready to sell.” ⠀ You’ve decided that building a coaching business and making sales is “hard”. In reality, it’s because you haven’t given yourself permission to keep it simple and succeed. You don’t need another degree, certification, or another stamp of approval from some wannabe guru online before you start selling your offer.⠀ The evidence of what you’ve been able to accomplish is right in front of you. In this episode, I’ll teach you how to make your Evidence List: everything you have ever learned and accomplished. Answer these questions for yourself:⠀ ▪️How many degrees and certifications do you have?⠀ ▪️What kind of results have you been able to get your boss at your 9-5?⠀ ▪️How many people (free and paid) have you been able to get results for?⠀ ▪️How much money have you spent on your education (courses, trainings, books)?⠀ Hear me out - the whole time you thought you weren’t good enough, you were actually overqualified.⠀ Stop comparing yourself to other online coaches and focus on serving your clients with the knowledge and skills you already have. You’ve got everything you need right now to start selling your services.⠀ Don’t wait to create a website. ⠀ Don’t wait to grow your email list.⠀ Don’t wait until you’ve gotten “just a couple more” testimonials from deeply discounted clients. Start. Right. Now. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. In this episode, I’m going to be talking you through 7 key mindset shifts that will help you grow into the role of CEO in your coaching business and take you beyond 7-figures. I recount my experience collecting my first $70,000 month, a milestone that I was very proud of, and share with you all the mental adjustments I had to make along the way to get there. Establishing your business and hustling your way to $50,000 a year requires a certain skill set and drive. However, when you reach a certain level there are ways of thinking that you need to let go of and new thought processes you have to adopt if you want to continue to evolve. Tune in for the 7 mindset shifts you need to make in order to grow a multi-7-figure coaching business. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here is a brief summary of the 7 mindset shifts you need to reach 7-figures: #1- Where am I becoming the bottleneck? - I used to think in terms of what I should be doing. However, this was causing me to become a bottleneck. It forced me to be aware of where and when I was getting in my own way, in terms of growth and progress. #2- How can I find or train someone to figure it out on my behalf? - Trying to figure everything out by yourself may be effective in the beginning, but when you transition to a CEO you need to document your processes and then train others on how to do it. #3- How can I coach my team? - I stopped trying to come with the answer and instead looked at how I could create a great working environment so my team could execute their own solutions. #4- What’s best for the company? - Asking yourself what “you” want is great in the early hustle phase, but to build a sustainable business you have to separate yourself from your business and take ownership by doing what’s best for your company, not just you. #5- Own and acknowledge stepping into your power - I would always wonder if this was really possible for me. Once I was making six figures consistently I still felt I had to prove myself. I had to stop second-guessing myself and develop my self-confidence. #6- Diagnose and find the root cause - I was very reactive, responding to symptoms in the early days. Taking a more proactive approach led me to do the most important work-- which was what I was resisting. #7- What problem needs to be solved? - It’s easy to become consumed with what you think you should be doing, mimicking others. However, when I started to dial in on what needed to be done, my effectiveness went through the roof. And lots more! Tune in now. When the Bible talks about narrow is the gate, but difficult is the way that leads to life, that’s the 411 for God never said it would be easy. I base my business on this principle of the narrow path. In this episode, I teach you how to apply these principles to your own business. Narrowing down and picking your one person, identifying one problem, and creating a signature process is NOT easy--if it were, you would have already made these tough decisions! ⠀ Most business owners struggle because they keep resisting the decisions they need to make. They’re often trying something new because they see someone else doing it - not fully understanding why they are doing it; but if you don’t understand why you are doing something, your business will suffer. If there are no decisions being made, then there is no strategy. If there’s no strategic decision-making, there is no success. Yes, doing the work--- until it works--- is hard. But you can do hard things.⠀ Do you need help learning how to make aligned, focused decisions that move your business forward? This episode on narrowing your niche is for you. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Why the narrow way is never easy, but it is worth it. Your business will NOT survive without saying "YES" to some things and "NO" to others. Your business will NOT survive without you making specific choices aligned with a focused goal. Overcoming resistance - Mecca has had to overcome a lot of resistance along the way. She was initially resistant to make money from teaching and coaching and it’s taken a lot of conscious effort to recognize her value and hone in on what her pricing structure should be. How creatives should set their price - A lot of creatives undercharge and it’s easy to get into the game of trying to undercut competitors. Micah is a millionaire in the making, and in this episode, she gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse into how she’s been able to niche down and carve out her own lane in a saturated market to enroll eight thousand dollar clients into her program. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Igniting the spark - While Micah was landing some four-figure clients with web design, it wasn’t making her happy. Taking a step back and figuring out what she was passionate about ignited the spark and led her to launch her signature service and achieve success. Do your market research - Micah was initially hesitant to set a high price tag. One way she overcame her money mindset was to look at competitors in the market. This efficient approach allows her to hone in on the work that’s needed to get the optimal results for herself and her clients. Are you someone that struggles with time management? Are you on the verge of reaching your full capacity? In today’s episode, I’m going to be sharing the three aspects of time management that you need to know about as you’re reaching full capacity in your business. This is especially important if you run a six-figure coaching business or you’re well on the path to six-figures. You’re probably noticing that your methods of time management are changing and your situation is different from when you were a solopreneur in hustle mode to launch your signature service and land clients. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: What season are you in? - In order to determine what you should be prioritizing, you first need to identify which season of business you’re in. Unless you’re making over $8k a month in revenue, your focus should be on selling your services and enrolling high ticket clients. Have you reached your capacity limit? - When your capacity reaches its limit you need to consider changing your business model. Is your current business model sustainable? If not, you need to hone in on your one core offer and sales process, becoming the leading person that solves that particular problem. Become a CEO - When you’re making more than $10k a month, you need to stop thinking of yourself as a founder and start showing up as a CEO. Put yourself on the payroll and think of yourself as the person that ultimately runs your business, just like the CEO of any corporation does. Managing expectations - Is your effort aligned with your expectations? You have to clearly define what success looks like for you and be committed to doing whatever is required to achieve it. Question assumptions and check in with beliefs - As you grow you have to check in with your assumptions and beliefs. If your assumptions are derived from negative beliefs (many of which were rooted in childhood trauma) then you’ll sabotage your growth. Mindset work is essential. And lots more! Tune in now. This episode is brought to you by ThriveCart: Support for our show today came from my favorite payment checkout software, ThriveCart . Let me ask you - how are you currently accepting payments from your coaching clients? Forgetting to send those monthly invoices for clients on a payment plan? Is it time for you to pivot? Whether you’re a coach, consultant, or service-based business owner, you need to be pivoting in order to protect your revenue. It’s time for a Hawk-Hustle table talk and we’re going to discuss some very important issues. Coronavirus has changed the world as we know it. Even though most people have a lot less money in their pockets than before, this doesn’t mean everyone is broke. You just need to understand what changes you need to make in your business. In this episode, I’m going to be raw and honest with you. We’re going to talk about what really matters. Even though you may not like everything you’re going to hear, it comes from a place of love and wanting you to get rich as you thrive in business and life. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Update your message - Whatever marketing and messaging you were using a few weeks ago it’s probably not going to be relevant in today’s market climate. The coronavirus has changed the game and clients’ pain points are more visible right now than they have ever been before. Pivoting your promise - Does your promise meet the necessity of potential clients? Right now, people and businesses don’t have resources to spend on luxuries and niceties. They need their basic needs to be fulfilled. Your promise, therefore, needs to align with the basic necessities of clients. Don’t project your limiting money beliefs onto clients - You have to recognize your limiting beliefs and understand that while people have less money in their pockets than before, they’re not completely broke. Aligning with what people need and confidently offering them a specific and tangible solution will ensure you’re as profitable as ever. Keep selling - For a transformation to take place there must first be a transaction. Don’t give away your solution for free and don’t give discounts. People are still paying and in order to pay your bills, you have to keep selling and serving clients. How big before you pivot? - If you’re only making $20k - $40k a year then you need to continue making sales at a premium rate and doing excellent 1:1 client work. When you’re well beyond this threshold and operating at full capacity you need to consider pivoting your business model and leveraging beyond 1:1. And lots more! Tune in now. This episode is brought to you by SERVICES THAT SELL: This episode was brought to you by my premium program, Services that Sell. It’s time for a quick Q&A. Even though this episode is relatively short and sweet, it contains a few nuggets that you’re not going to want to miss. Tune in to discover: What advice I would give a first-year CEO, What you should be focusing on if you’re just starting out, Mistakes I made in my first year of business, My mission and response to the current political climate, Evolving into the role of CEO, and The importance of 1:1 client time. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: You’re not a CEO yet - If you’ve been in business for only a year then it’s best to stop thinking of yourself as a CEO. You’re the business founder and you need to work up to becoming a CEO once your business is well established. Where should your focus be? - Don’t try and solve problems that aren’t even problems yet. If you’re starting out, there are a lot of business problems that aren’t relevant to you in the early stages of business. Instead, focus on how you can articulate your value, raise your rates, and make money. How has my message changed under the current political climate? - My mission has always been to increase the representation of women of color in higher-level leadership roles. Therefore, given the current political situation we’re in, my message is consistent and more relevant than ever before. Becoming a CEO - Learning to sell is vital but there are so many other things that you need to know about when running a business in the long-run. Evolving into the CEO role of your business involves understanding the data and learning to make critical decisions. How important is 1:1 time - People don’t enroll in coaching programs based on the amount of time you give them. What’s more important than time is the promise of your offer and the results you can get. Are you struggling to get consistent results from your content? Do you know what kind of content creator you are? If you’re consistently putting out content and it’s not leading to sales then it’s time to take a pause. There’s a huge difference between getting likes from random followers and attracting an audience who have a specific problem that you can solve. In today’s episode, you’re going to discover which of the 3 types of content creator (The Consumer, The Creator, The Publisher) you are, and what kind of content strategy you should be pursuing in your coaching business to get the results you want. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: “The Consumer” - Consumers tend to follow everyone and are constantly consuming content. Consumers are so busy watching others’ content that they struggle to show up and present themselves. “The Creator” - Creators are focused on publishing content. They typically push their own content over and over again. While they tend to get plenty of likes, they may struggle with attracting qualified prospects and converting clients. “The Critic” - If you’re selling a high ticket item then you need to be a critic. Critics challenge the beliefs of their audience. They share their perspectives on topical and relevant issues that their audience is currently experiencing. Quality over quantity - It’s not about posting regurgitating other peoples’ content just for the sake of it. What’s more important is a consistent message that displays quality over quantity. Challenge beliefs - If you’re a critic, you’re not teaching people how to do something but you’re teaching people how to think. You’re challenging their point of view in a way that opens them up to something they’ve never considered before. And lots more! Tune in now. This episode is brought to you by SERVICES THAT SELL: This episode was brought to you by my premium program, Services that Sell. Today’s student spotlight episode features the wonderful Zakiya Williams-Spears. Zakiya is a mom, wife, and community educator dedicated to developing more equitable learning spaces for youth and adult learners. She’s the founder of Cultur-Ed™ Consulting, a full service educational consulting firm with a mission to inspire social change through meaningful and engaging learning experiences. Even though Zakiya is an amazing teacher, she’s had to work hard to overcome her fear of niching down. Doing so has enabled her to land multiple four figure clients and she’s a great example of how you can leverage your existing skillsets to create a signature service and build a successful business helping others to get transformational results. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Expand your circle - When starting out in business, Zakiya didn’t have many entrepreneurs around her to talk to. She looked for inspiration and people to help her on her mission by going out and expanding her circle. Start broad and then find your niche - Zakiya, like many others, initially wanted to help everyone achieve all their goals. She feels that starting broad is OK while you learn to dial in on what your specific niche and signature service should be along the way. Resistance is normal - To become a butterfly a caterpillar must push through a lot of resistance in order to leave the cocoon. Zakiya is a great example of how you need to keep going during those moments when you experience resistance. Being part of a like-minded community helps. Don’t expect overnight success - Zakiya is in it for the long run. She trusts in the process and is patient enough to show up consistently in order to achieve success. She’s always learning and evolving. Niching-down to get tangible results - When Zakiya provided a general, broad service, her clients reported “feeling better,” but there were limited tangible results. Niching down has allowed her to get specific, life-changing transformations for her clients. And lots more! Tune in now. Do you struggle with fear of failure when it comes to sales? Do you worry about not knowing what to say and how to deal with rejection? The success of your business completely depends upon your ability to sell. If you’re not consistently talking to strangers on the internet and creating opportunities for transactions to take place then you’re robbing yourself of the number one thing your business needs for survival. I understand it’s not easy to get over your fear of sales and bouncing back after being rejected is hard. That’s why I’m going to be going through the three main things that people tend to get wrong and what you need to do to set yourself up for success in sales. If you find this episode helpful and you’re selling a high-ticket service, looking to enroll premium clients, and want to learn to confidently overcome sales objections, check out https://jereshiahawk.com/rightresponse. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Never worry about possible rejections - You don’t have to over-perfect your sales techniques before you even try to sell. Focusing on potential negative scenarios can stop you from even trying to sell in the first place. It’s time to shift your perspective to something more empowering. Is a prospect the “right fit?” - Your focus in a sales call should be to determine whether or not a prospect is the right fit for your service. Help them make the right decision whether it’s to work with you or not. Rejection doesn’t mean you’re a failure - Do you feel like every rejection is a failure? It’s easy to find yourself on a downward spiral. Lowering prices and discounting your services may seem like the right thing to do, but it’s not. Rejection does NOT mean failure! Are you in rejection rehab? - Some people take weeks or months to get over a sales rejection. Others won’t get on a sales call because they’re worried about taking a stranger’s money. If you’re in rejection rehab you need to check yourself out immediately. Put yourself out there and talk about the value you have to offer. Hearing “no” is normal - You can be the world’s best salesperson and you’re still going to hear no. Rejections and objections are normal. Instead of trying to get prospects to buy, your goal is to help them to make the best decision. And lots more! Tune in now. This episode is brought to you by ThriveCart: Support for our show today came from my favorite payment checkout software, ThriveCart . Do you find yourself attracting people that aren’t converting into clients? Or, maybe you’re lacking clarity and confidence in your messaging that prevents you from showing up in your business? Today’s episode features an issue that many coaches face, but have trouble pinpointing where the exact problem lies. If you want to attract clients that convert then you’ll want to tune in. Grab your notebooks and get ready, because I’m going to be teaching you how to create and deliver a clear message that gets you the results you desire. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Do you have a clear program promise? - You can’t expect to attract qualified prospects if there’s a disconnect between what your offer provides and your prospects’ ability to understand the value it brings to them then. Your message needs to reinforce your value proposition. Have you defined your positioning? - It’s important to define how you want people to perceive you. You have to train your audience to perceive you in the way you want to be perceived and apply the appropriate angle to achieve this in your marketing. Teach people how to think - If you’re selling a high ticket item then you can’t use “how-to” articles. The psychology behind high ticket buying is completely different from that of an ebook. Instead of teaching people what to do, you have to teach them how to think. Are you delivering your message? - Are you showing up and putting out live steam videos and chatting to your audience? Creating content behind the scenes is important but you can’t expect people to align with your messaging if you’re not showing up and delivering a message. You are capable of doing hard things - Being courageous enough to show up and allowing your voice to be heard is hard. I understand that. But, I believe in you. I believe you are capable of doing hard things if you’re committed. And lots more! Tune in now. This episode is brought to you by LEVERAGE: Today’s episode is brought to you by my group coaching program LEVERAGE. This episode features the powerful Tasha Booth, someone in the online space that I’ve been admiring for a while. Tasha is the founder and CEO of The Launch Guild, a course launch support and digital marketing implementation agency, supporting established coaches and course creators with course and podcast launches, operating and systems management, and content management and repurposing. She’s also the host of the How She Did That podcast. In this episode, Tasha gives a behind-the-scenes look at how she went from being an overworked VA to successfully leveraged her business into a multi-six-figure agency with over 20 members. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: What is your “why”? - As an overworked virtual assistant, Tasha began asking herself “What is it that I want to do? What is it that I love doing? What is it that I’m really good at?” These deep questions started the process of figuring out what her signature service was. Are you maxed out? - When Tasha was maxed out with 25 clients as a solopreneur, she had to change her business model. Since she enjoyed collaborating with others she decided to evolve her business into an agency. She is living proof that you can hustle yourself to six figures. But, this is usually the point when you need to pivot. From “I” to “we” - When Tasha pivoted to an agency model, she needed to learn to let go of trying to do everything herself and train others to do parts of her job. This shift allowed her to focus on being a CEO. Strategic focus - Tasha and her team carry out an annual plan to decide what the following year will look like. This ensures rash decisions aren’t made and she can take the time to ensure necessary infrastructure and processes are in place before anything new is introduced. Overcoming mindset barriers - One of the biggest limiting beliefs that Tasha has faced is “no one will pay that.” She overcomes her doubts by finding other people who have “already done it.” This lets her know what is possible. Today’s hot topic is something I get asked about all the time. If you’re a regular listener then you’re used to hearing me talk about niching down a lot. But, just how specific do you need to get? And, is merely knowing your niche enough? Most people don’t understand that you have to get way more specific than just knowing your area of specialization. You have to peel back all the layers and realize whether your niche is actually specific enough to attract high quality-clients. In this episode I’m going to be breaking niching down into three layers: Career category Business niche Signature service This knowledge is essential if you want to land clients with a four (or five) figure price tag. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: What is a niche? - From a business perspective, a niche appeals to a small, specialized section of the population. Career category - The first layer of niching down is your career category. This would be a general job title, such as an attorney, accountant, or health coach. Getting down to this level is only OK if you’re selling something relatively inexpensive, such as an ebook. Business niche - The second layer of niching down is your business niche. This is your subject niche within your career category. Signature service - The third and final layer of niching down is your signature service. Niching down to this level usually comes with a lot of resistance. However, if you’re not drilling down to this level of specificity you’re leaving a lot of money on the table. Specialists get paid more than generalists - When you get super-specific, you’re going to find that you also have a very specific process that you can walk your clients through in order to achieve the results they want. This is what allows you to charge a higher price tag. And lots more! Tune in now. This episode is brought to you by ThriveCart: Support for our show today came from my favorite payment checkout software, ThriveCart . If you’re a course creator, coach, or consultant and you’ve been wondering why your sales suck then you’ll want to listen up. If you can’t make money, you don’t have a business. And, if you don’t have a clearly defined sales process then you’re going to be relying on luck. Listening to this episode will help you take a client through a journey and set yourself up for success. I’m going to help you turn things around by giving you FOUR ways to fix your broken sales process. I want to ensure you can meet your revenue goals and confidently convert clients with ease. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: High ticket sales - It’s important to understand that selling a high ticket tiem is completely different from selling a low ticket item. The buyer psychology and processes required are completely different. What do we mean by a “sales process”? - A sales process isn’t about automated tools and complicated sales funnels. It’s a predefined set of interactions for identifying, qualifying, and converting prospects. You need to have your steps fully defined and documented. Identification prospects - You need to not only attract your ideal client but you need to repel those who you’re service is not for. If you have to beg for prospects to be your clients then you’re not attracting the right prospects. Qualifying prospects - What’s your screening process? You need to be clear on who can get on a sales call. Your sales process needs to weed out those who aren’t fit for your program. Converting prospects - Your sales process needs to convert. Just because you know you can help, your prospect also needs to believe it. It’s your job to communicate this. If you’re struggling to close, then I recommend checking out http://jereshiahawk.com/rightresponse. And lots more! Tune in now. My guest on this episode is the awesome Janine Esbrand, a London based corporate and commercial lawyer who enrolled in Leverage after traditional online launch methods failed to yield the results she wanted. Janine is a career strategist, executive coach, and a TEDx speaker and podcast host. She’s also the creator of the Career Clarity Academy, a group coaching program designed to help mid-level professionals change career direction and land their ideal role without having to take a pay cut or retrain. With 12 years of experience in the legal industry and a drive to find solutions that support her growth, Janine is very inspiring to listen to. This episode is especially interesting if you struggle to confidently close clients on sales calls. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Are you using the right method? - Janine tried using a membership model for her first launch. Although she had some success, she realized she wasn’t going to hit her revenue goals and wasn’t attracting fully committed clients. This caused her to shift her approach and find a better method. Realize your value - Even though she was hesitant to charge a high price tag, Janine thought hard about the value she was bringing to the table and the results she could get for clients. After this, she knew she needed to sell a high-ticket item. Thriving through COVID - Despite having invested in Leverage just before the international break-out of COVID, Janine remained fully committed to the process. With more and more people needing a career change, she’s found her services are more relevant than ever. Qualify your leads - Janine always questions whether a prospect is the right person for her program. Rather than trying to make a sale, she now tries to ensure that she’s only attracting clients that will be a good fit. Learning how to close consistently - When Janine began using the Champagne Closer™ Method, she learned to shift her focus from trying to make the sale, to helping people understand what they wanted and help them make the right decision. This instantly turned around her sales performance. And lots more! Tune in now. This episode is brought to you by LEVERAGE: Today’s episode is brought to you by my group coaching program LEVERAGE. Does a higher price tag make selling more difficult? Not in my experience. If you’ve been in business for a while and don’t want to be doing 1:1 forever then it may be time to leverage what you’ve got. 1:1 is a great way to start out as you get used to landing high ticket-clients and refining your process. However, after you have three to five clients, it becomes advantageous to shift your business model to a high-ticket group program, which is exactly what we do with our Leverage program. We’ve helped many clients go above and beyond six-figures. In this episode, I’m going to be discussing one of the keys to achieving this high level of success. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Commit and follow through - If you’re on a coaching program to help you launch your product or service then you need to be all-in. You need to commit to the process and follow through with the launch. Why is it easier to sell a $15,000 program? - The psychology of a buyer looking at a $15,000 program is completely different from a buyer looking at a $1,500 program. Anyone considering the higher price tag understands the value and return that such an investment will yield. Attract reliable and committed clients - If you’re selling a program with a $15,000 price tag you’ll experience far less failed payments than if you’re selling at $1,500. Also, because your clients have invested so much, they’ll be fully committed to showing up and doing the work required. Resistance never goes away - Each time you reach a new level in business and your financial life, it’s normal to experience resistance and feel discomfort. Instead of trying to avoid the discomfort, recognize that it’s a normal part of the process that can be helped with mindset work. The power of group coaching - Even with the best process in place, if you’re unwilling to shift your beliefs you’ll never move forward. Working with peers in a group coaching program is one of the best ways to continually recognize and shift limiting beliefs that would have gone undiscovered. And lots more! Tune in now. This episode is brought to you by ThriveCart: Support for our show today came from my favorite payment checkout software, ThriveCart . Do you believe that lowering your price will increase sales? If you’re launching your signature service for the first time or you’ve been in the game for a few months and not getting the sales you expected, this episode will help. In economics, there’s something called the demand curve. It suggests that if you lower the price of your service, you increase the demand. But, what happens if you reduce your price to zero? Does this give you infinite sales? No! It’s way harder to sell something for free than with a price tag. If I see something for free then I tend to stay clear of it and question its true value. So, how should you go about setting your price? Tune in to find out more. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: A lower price doesn’t mean less friction - It’s normal to experience a lot of friction when you’re new to the market. While lowering your price may seem like a good idea to reduce friction, it won’t. This is a limiting belief that you need to overcome. Communicate your true value - When it comes to your service, you understand its true value. However, your prospects don’t yet understand this. It’s your job as a seller to communicate what you can do for your prospects in a way that they will comprehend. Don’t underestimate the importance of price - When it comes to sales, I believe price is the most important factor. It demonstrates the level of value your clients can expect. A high price tag communicates quality and attracts high-quality clientele. Don’t take the easy way out - Experiencing rejection and having prospects trying to haggle can be damaging to your confidence. Instead of taking the easy way out and offering discounts, you should enhance your ability to communicate your value. Raise your rates - If you’re lacking confidence and struggling to overcome sales objections then check out jereshiahawk.com/rightresponse. With the right attitude and tools, you can raise your rates and learn to become a beast at sales. And lots more! Tune in now. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Do you need to change direction? - Christine spent a decade studying and working in the health and wellness industry. However, after struggling with her own health problems she realized that a change of direction was needed and writing would be better suited to her. Do what comes natural - It’s easy to overlook the skill sets that come naturally to us. Christine realized she’d always been a writer and it was one of her natural talents. More importantly, there were people out there that needed help with writing. Get on the radar - Christine didn’t start out making cold pitches and using hard selling tactics. She got on the radar of potential clients, taking a very personal approach. She worked hard to establish great relationships before trying to land clients. Confidence through experience - Christine has confidence in being able to prescribe solutions to clients rather than letting her clients wrongly tell her what to do. Her vast experience allows her to understand if something is going to work or not. Transitioning to a leveraged offer - Christine had several ideas for online products, but nothing really excited her. After a couple of years of pondering a leveraged offer, she realized her niche and passion was in writing for social media. Do you find yourself posting content that doesn’t get results? If you’re consistently showing up, posting content on social media, and engaging with your audience but not landing the sales then it’s time to address the problem. Issues can include: The type of content that you’re actually posting, What you do with individuals that engage with your content. Creating “how-to” content can work if you’re trying to sell a $15 ebook, but it’s not going to get you far if you want to raise your rates and land high-ticket clients. The psychology of buying a $15 ebook is completely different to that of buying a $10,000 program. If you’re a service provider, and your primary method of enrolling clients is via organic content then you’re not going to want to miss this episode. I’m going to be going through the five reasons your content isn’t converting and what you need to change in order to land your ideal clients. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Focus on one clear promise - When introducing a high ticket item, many people try to introduce more offers to sell. Instead, you need to focus on one clear promise and speak to a clearly defined audience rather than trying to capture everybody. Whose opinion are you listening too? - Being too worried about everyone else’s opinion can hold you back. You only need to focus on the opinions of qualified leads and people with relevant experience. Whose problem are you solving? - Stop focusing on your problems and start focusing on the problems of prospective clients. Your business doesn't exist to serve you, it exists to solve someone else’s problem. Are you playing hard to get? - Stop waiting for people to speak to you. As a business owner, you need to be proactive and be the first one to start a conversation. Learn to overcome sales objections - Do you offer a discount or down-sell the first time you hear a sales objection? Sales objections and rejections are inevitable. It’s part of the game. You need to learn to overcome them rather than thinking something’s wrong with you as a business coach. And lots more! Tune in now. Are you in business for the long-run or do you find yourself constantly changing your mind and moving in different directions? The quickest route from point A to point B is a straight line. But, being disciplined and focused over a long period of time can be tough. After selling only one program for three years I’ve learned that this is an internal issue that needs to be overcome. Anything is possible in business if you’re willing to sacrifice, be disciplined, and be obedient. These are choices that I make every day when I wake up in the morning. If you have trouble being consistent then today’s episode could be insightful and enlightening for you. There’s a lot of profitability when you focus on selling ONE thing for an extended period of time. It’s how you build a healthy foundation for your business and set yourself up for long-term sustainability. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Stay focused - When starting out it’s easy to give up, change direction, or try to create another offer. Patience is vital and it’s important not to make rash decisions until you’ve accumulated sufficient data. It’s not as simple as creating a dope product - If you merely try to create a dope product and mimic what someone else is doing you’re unlikely to achieve long-term success. You need to have a full service that will get results for your clients. It’s a continuous process - Even after 500 successful clients and three years in business, we’re still refining and improving our signature program. As you gain experience it’s important not to get complacent and continue evolving what you have. You’re not going to solve everything - As human beings, your clients have a million problems. It’s not your responsibility to solve them all. It is your job, however, to be the best in the business at solving that one specific problem that you’re being hired for. Focus on what matters - It’s easy to get distracted and caught up in trends. You need to stay super-focused, refining your processes to improve the experience while acting on revenue-generating activities. And lots more! Tune in now. She began talking less about her and more about the solution she could provide and success was quick to follow. How to raise your rates - Marci was able to go from charging $1,000 to $7,000. Do you struggle with quarterly business planning? Or, do you avoid it altogether? These essential tasks can be tough if you don’t have the right mindset to begin with. After having such a reflective morning, I wanted to share with you what my morning practice is and how it sets me up for the day ahead, before getting down to the details of how I go about doing my quarterly business planning. Because you’re 100% responsible for the results that you want in your business. Growth is a choice. You’re accountable for what happens or what doesn’t happen. In this episode, I’m going to be sharing some very specific ideas and practices that position me to achieve my goals and give my company what it needs to move forward and thrive. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: The importance of a morning routine - When I work through a solid and wholesome morning ritual I always feel energized for the day ahead. Simple things like drinking a nourishing smoothie and taking a quick walk with the dog can make all the difference when you have a busy day of planning ahead. Start with a clean slate - Before I begin planning I set a timer for 15 minutes and dump out all thoughts and feelings that are weighing on myself. This includes personal things as well as work and helps me express emotions. Then I can begin my quarterly planning with a clean slate. From “founder” to “CEO” mentality - After making your first six figures, you need to adjust your thinking from being a founder to being a CEO with the purpose of running and growing your business. Gather and review the data - To know what you want to achieve you first have to look at past performance. Review all the key metrics of the past quarter and use these figures to make projections. Then ask yourself what actions are needed to achieve your goals. Don’t complain about your audience - Your audience is a reflection of your own behavior. If you’re not consistently showing up and projecting the right way then you can’t expect to attract an audience that converts. And lots more! Tune in now. Deep down, are you afraid that your clients may not get the results you promised? Is this holding you back from niching down and raising your rates? Unconsciously, a fear of letting a client down could indicate there’s a fault with the process. This will often be the case if you find yourself having to be there for your clients all the time. There’s a big difference between enabling your clients and empowering them to stand on their own two feet and achieve sustainable results after you’ve finished working with them. In order to maximize the potential of this episode, you’ll want to get your notebook out to jot anything that comes up. I’m going to be asking you to be honest with yourself as we tackle this together. (If you’re going through the process of hiring a coach then check out my 20 Questions to Ask Your Business Coach to ensure you make the right decision.) Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Are you coaching or crippling your clients? - When a client has a problem, do you instantly give them the solution or do you give them the resources they need to be able to solve their problems? Your clients must do the work - As a coach, it is NOT your responsibility to get your clients their results. It’s your responsibility to provide a framework and support them through their transformation. It’s a two-way commitment and your client must commit to doing the necessary work. Be selective - If a client can’t commit to putting in the work, we don’t let them enroll in our program. You need to be selective, ensuring you only take on clients of a high enough caliber. Ask the right questions - The ability to ask questions is a high-level skill set. When a client has a problem, it’s your responsibility to ask the right questions. This gets your client thinking about how to solve their problems. Are you projecting? - Beware that you’re not projecting your own limiting beliefs onto your clients. You need to observe objectively, listen to their beliefs, and help them discover what’s untrue as they become the best versions of themselves. And lots more! Tune in now. Key Highlights of the Episode This episode was extremely actionable and insightful. Here are a few key highlights: Don’t be afraid to show your flaws - Rather than projecting an image of perfection, Andrea showed her audience what was going on behind the scenes and allowed them to see her flaws. This took a lot of pressure off her. The importance of investing in yourself - Andrea has never been afraid to invest in herself. When she felt she’d pushed things as far as she could on her own, she enrolled in Leverage, which gave her the ability to better serve clients while scaling her business. Overcoming resistance - Andrea admits that she has had to overcome a lot of resistance along the way. Whether it’s simplifying her sales process or increasing her prices, her willingness to make changes in her mindset has allowed her to evolve. What are you teaching your clients? - Changing the way she taught her clients was a real game-changer for Andrea. She shifted her mindset from teaching people what to do to teaching them how to think. She now attracts clients who are enthusiastic and are willing to go after what they want. Making business friends - By talking to various members of our Facebook Group, Andrea has forged amazing friendships with like-minded individuals that are on a similar path, improving her effectiveness in business and enriching her life.
