    Todays it's all about letting go of the things that hold us back from reaching our goals. As a small business owner, it's easy to get caught up in the mindset of doing more and working harder, but sometimes that's not the key to success. In this episode, I share five important things to let go of in order to truly achieve success. The first thing to let go of is the belief that more is better. We often think that if we just do more, work harder, or take on more tasks, we'll see greater results. But the truth is, quality is often more important than quantity. It's important to prioritize our time and energy on the tasks that truly matter and will lead us closer to our goals. The second thing to let go of is the weight of other people's opinions. People will always have something to say, whether we ask for their opinion or not. It's natural to worry about what others might think of us, especially in the age of social media. But to truly succeed, we must learn to let go of the fear of judgment and stay true to ourselves and our goals. Another thing to let go of is the idea that progress is solely measured by external achievements. While achieving our goals is important, it's equally important to consider the emotional and mental impact of our journey. Success isn't just about reaching the destination; it's about how we feel along the way. Taking care of our mental health and finding serenity in our pursuit of success is just as crucial as the end result. Next, it's time to let go of the fear of failure. Failure is a natural part of the journey towards success, and it's something that every entrepreneur experiences. Rather than being afraid of failure, we should embrace it as an opportunity for growth and learning. By reframing our mindset around failure, we can unlock new possibilities and reach even greater heights. Finally, we need to let go of the need for control. As business owners, we often try to control every aspect of our journey, but the truth is, some things are beyond our control. Learning to let go and trust in the process can open up doors we never even knew existed. By relinquishing control, we create space for new opportunities and unexpected successes. As I always say, "I can is possibility. I will is intention. I am is commitment." These three phrases serve as a reminder that success is not just about external achievements but also about our mindset and commitment to our goals. So, let go of what's holding you back, embrace the challenges, and honor the struggles. By doing so, you'll be well on your way to achieving the success you desire.     Breaking Free from Destination Thinking: Embrace the Journey Towards Business Success

    In this episode, I want to share a powerful message that I recently received during my meditation. It's all about finding peace and acceptance in the present moment, even when we're not exactly where we want to be in our business journeys. Have you ever caught yourself focusing on where you're not, only to feel discouraged and stuck? Trust me, I've been there too. But here's the thing: dwelling on what's lacking rarely propels us into action. Instead, it tends to send us down a rabbit hole of despair, where we end up checking out of our dreams and checking into bad habits like procrastination and Netflix binging. So, let me ask you this: Do you remember those childhood car rides, when you would drive your parents crazy by constantly asking, "Are we nearly there yet?" Well, as adults, we often find ourselves doing the same thing with our goals and dreams. We want to skip the journey and fast-track straight to the destination. But why do we do that? I believe there are three main reasons. First, the journey isn't always comfortable. As humans, we're wired to avoid pain and discomfort. We want to go straight to the place where everything feels amazing, without having to endure the growth and challenges that come with it.  Second, we tend to make it mean something negative about ourselves when we see others achieving success while we're still on the journey. We start questioning our worthiness, intelligence, and capabilities. But the truth is, everyone's path is unique, and comparing ourselves only hinders our progress.  Lastly, society has conditioned us to idolize the end results and overlook the countless steps in between. We're bombarded with stories of overnight success, which can make us feel like failures if we haven't reached our goals as quickly. But the reality is, growth takes time and effort. So, where do we go from here? It's time to release the resistance and embrace where we are in our business journeys. Instead of constantly striving for the next milestone, let's learn to accept the present moment as if we had chosen it. Remember, the circumstances are neutral; it's our thoughts and feelings that shape our actions and results. So, let's run a little model on this way of thinking. Imagine your goal as the circumstance. When you find yourself thinking, "I'm not there yet, why am I not there yet?" how does it make you feel? Frustrated? Disappointed? Angry? These emotions drive our actions, or lack thereof. But what if I told you that no matter what you've done in the past, there's no guarantee it would have gotten you to your goal any quicker? Each step, each choice, has led you to where you are now, and that's exactly where you need to be on your unique journey. So, my friend, let's shift our mindset and find peace in the present. Let's embrace the growth, challenges, and failures along the way, knowing that they are necessary stepping stones to our success. This mindset shift will not only bring us peace but also allow us to move forward with certainty and confidence. Remember, it's not just about the destination; it's about the growth and learning that happen during the journey. So let's release the resistance, accept where we are, and build our businesses one step at a time. As Eckhart Tolle wisely said, "Accept then act. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it." The five common ways people keep the confirmation bias program alive in their businesses are: doing more of the same constantly changing strategies trying everything at once starting and stopping techniques, and falling for shiny objects syndrome. It was not an easy journey, but it was transformative. I started my business as a personal trainer in 2012, initially just for fun and to make some extra money. However, I soon became obsessed with metrics and social media. I constantly worried about class attendance, numbers, and money. I overworked myself, gave too much away for free, and used alcohol as a coping mechanism for my anxieties. But then, I had a breakthrough moment when I realized that I wasn't my thoughts. This realization opened up the possibility of defeating my demons and taking control of my mindset. Through further learning, coaching, and self-acceptance, I began to change my story.I discovered that unresolved issues can manifest in different areas of our lives, like different outfits of the same underlying problem. It was crucial for me to reconnect with the passion that drove me to start my business in the first place and focus on the people I wanted to serve. Building a business is not just about strategy; it's a journey of personal growth. Taking radical personal responsibility means seeing everything as data and not attaching personal meaning to it. It means showing up for ourselves and continuously learning and adapting to achieve extraordinary results. Acknowledge how these emotions may be holding you back Evaluate the current state: Reflect on why sticking with these emotions and avoiding decision-making is potentially worse than the discomfort you're experiencing now. Make the decision: Armed with a clear understanding of your fears, associated emotions, and the consequences of staying in indecision, make the choice to move forward.     Sweat The Small Stuff

    Anytime you see what looks like a breakthrough, it is always the end result of a long series of little things done consistently over time - Jeff Olsen, The Slight Edge This is where we talk about perhaps the most damaging conditioning of all. The microwave culture, where your senses are being bombarded with enticing messages of quick results, where quantum leaps and life changing breakthroughs are just the other side of that download programme or certificate. And worse than that, the pictures and the copy let you believe that it's going to be so easy, way easier than what you're already doing. In this final bonus episode, I'm telling you the very unsexy truth about breakthroughs. So if you don't want to hear the truth and you want to continue on the treadmill of buying, doing and trying more things without getting any different results, you can totally switch off now. But if you're with me and you're ready to commit to your breakthrough no matter what, grab your drink of choice pen and paper and let's go. Over these last six episodes, I've introduced you to the three pillars of my signature coaching programme. Then I gave you the first two essential components that will 100% create your next business breakthrough. Number one was finding your potholes. It's about discovering why you're not doing the things that you know you need to be doing. And problem solve. There with the start before the start mentality, setting yourself up for success. Don't just start the action. Number two was being before doing. Everyone can be given a proven strategy for success, and yet 95% of those people won't succeed because of who they choose to be. You must choose conscious creation versus conditioning. You must understand the different energetic signature that comes from the thoughts that you're holding about the action you're about to do and the result that you expect to happen. So now you have your plan. You know who you need to be, and this final component is where you put it all together. So, are you ready for this big reveal? Let's have little pretend jum roll here. Sweat the small stuff. Yes, I want you to sweat the small stuff. Here's five very unsexy things that you don't want to but need to hear. Give almost all of your intention to the daily, often repetitive actions that yield no visible result, day in, day out. Focus on the process and not the prize. Either stop expecting to feel happy and excited and in flow about it all, or choose thoughts that let you feel all of these things despite the monotony and the lack of evidence of success. There are going to be times when you don't want to, but you're going to have to anyway. You're going to have to stop committing to comfort somewhere. And here's the real kick in the pants. The solution is super simple. The application is hard Especially at the beginning, when you're challenging decades of conditioning, when your brain is fighting for safety, when your nervous system is on red alert, when you're desperate to see evidence it's working and you don't. And that's where the 95% quit. And this, right now, is where you get to decide, what percentile do you want to stay in? This is where if you choose the 5%, you problem solve for your potholes. You decide who you need to be, practise the thoughts and behaviours accordingly. And number three, you sweat the small stuff and stay focused on the tiny steps daily that will guarantee your results. Stay in your lane, stop clicking on shiny objects on social media. Practise thoughts that what you're doing right now is more than enough. Have faith that evidence is being created and you will see it in your reality if you don't quit. And just to kind of give you some evidence of that, I want to share a story of a client I'm working with right now. And she recently said to me in the last couple of weeks, she's like, well, a few months ago, she bought this skirt from a thrift store and she hadn't been allowed to try it on. She got it home and it was a bit too tight, it didn't really fit properly. And she just said to me, I actually tried it on yesterday and it's actually now too big. She said, But I don't feel like I've done anything like big. I haven't changed anything massively to create that. And I said, well, hang on a minute. What about the fact for the last two and a half months you've committed to stretching and meditating every morning? You've been practising self love and letting go of the weight of opinions of what you think other people think. You've chosen to be more intentional with your food choices. As many times as you can, you've chosen to move more. And the result is that without too much discomfort, the skirt that was too tight is now too big. And it comes back to this very simple message. It is the small, seemingly inconsequential daily actions that make the biggest difference. That is like a paraphrasing from the book, The Slight Edge, which, as you may now have realised, is a phenomenal book. So how do you create this slight edge for yourself? It's really very simple. You take a look at your desired outcome, you identify all the steps you could take to get there and you pick those with the highest chance of you cultivating consistency and you commit to doing them. So, as you know, I like to give you some kind of example. So let's just for now, just go with a weight loss example, because it's super easy to create, right? So the outcome is you want to lose 15 pounds. What you could do is you could consume 1500 calories a day. You could count your macros, you could swap your cereal and toast for a loaded protein shake. You could walk 10,000 steps a day, get a personal trainer, hit the gym five times a week. What you could do, but maybe haven't considered also doing, is getting more sleep, reducing your stress intermittent fast. But what I want you to do is to choose something where you can choose consistency over intensity. You can change the intensity later as you gain momentum and results. But in the beginning, go for consistency. Start small and stay with it. Do it all and you trip and fall, right? So start small and give yourself the opportunity to succeed. Do not get sucked into it has to be big actions every day. That's what keeps people failing. So you may choose, you know what, okay, I'm going to change my breakfast choice and go for the protein shake. I'm going to hit 10,000 steps a day and I'm going to go to bed 1 hour earlier. You could even pick two of those and you would still get results. Track your results weekly and don't consider changing the process for at least 30 days unless you genuinely want to. Because you feel good, never change it because you feel like you're not doing enough or that you're in from a space of lack. Only then do you add on. So let's give this as in a business example. Say for instance, you want to double your income. So what you could do? You could post more on social media. You could grow your email list, start a podcast, start to network, launch a new programme, raise your rates, start paying for marketing, hire a salesperson, create another lead magnet, do a free training, do a webinar. But what you do is for three months you choose to focus on building your podcast audience. You do that by sharing on just two social media platforms every day with links to your podcast. The podcast has one very simple call to action which invites your listeners to your email list with something of value. And then you nurture those new subscribers with an email sequence and offer. And that's it. That's all you do for three months, over and over and over again. And now you can see how starting before the start works because you could say, okay, I want to grow my email list. What do I need to have in place for me to be able to do that? Business Brekthrough Exercise #7 Write down your goal or your goals. Remember that building your business six pack is a holistic approach. So you might want to also have a goal that supports your business. Something that's maybe fitness or emotional. So for me right now, I'm on a big health drive. I want to be the strongest I've ever been. I'm in perimenopause right? I want to lose some body fat, I want to get strong, I want to get more sleep, I want to cut back on my alcohol. All of those things and all of those things are benefiting my business because of, number one, who I'm becoming to commit to those things, but who I'm becoming because of the results of committing to those things. Right? So think outside the box. Write down all the steps that you could do, Choose what you will do and then get accountable. Simply get a tick sheet, get a piece of paper, write it down. You don't even need to put it on a computer. These are the things I'm going to do. I'm going to exercise three times a week, I'm going to swap out my breakfast and I'm going to drink two litres of water. And every day that you do it, you just put a little tick in the chart. It can be that simple. Notice again that the application isn't about adding more to your to do list. It's about changing what you're doing. It's about changing who you're being while you're doing and it's about being part of the bigger picture. It's about being part of and involved in that process. There are a couple of other resources that I highly recommend. Books The Slight Edge, which is for me a game changing book. Atomic Habits The twelve week year. What I like about the Twelve Week Year is it helps you to identify those things that you're going to do and put them into a simple way to execute and what to say when you talk to yourself. Ted Talks - that will really help your brain to understand that the priority should be on the process and not the prize. Keep your focus on the process and not the prize, because then you'll remember that what you're doing is the little steps every day that are going to make the difference. It's the little steps that create the big outcome. And when you stay focused on the outcome, you forget that. You miss a step, you miss the outcome. You've got to focus on that.     Why You MUST Change The Energetic Signature of Your Business

    Care what you think, because what you think, multiplied by action plus time, will create what you get. Jeff Olsen, The Slight Edge You are a product of your conditioning until you decide to be a creation of your consciousness. I think it was my NLP teacher that said that and it was really life changing. Now, just in case you're not familiar with the concept of conditioning and consciousness, although if you're listening to me I'm sure you are, and certainly if you've listened to the previous episodes in this bonus series, you will be. But let me just explain it again in a very simple way. For most people, everything that they are, their beliefs, values, motivations, expectations, that's all been programmed during childhood, during the age when we are a walking computer, receiving data through our senses, which is filtered and filed, becoming our model of the world. Now, for people like you and I, we have all probably at some point come to realise that we want a different outcome in our life, a different outcome to what's being programmed. Or we've come and or we've come face to face with limiting beliefs about our abilities and our expectations. And therefore we know that we can consciously choose new thoughts and values and motivations to create the life that we desire. If the process is as easy as it sounds, why will 95% of the people not succeed at change? Well, I'm going to show you another reason why and give you another very simple concept to help you achieve your business breakthrough. So we were on the penultimate episode in this bonus series of seven, where we've gone through ways to help you self identify where your biggest business block is and helping you to create that business breakthrough. I hope by now you have most definitely gone and taken the Business Breakthrough Quiz, where you can find out specifically where you're blocked and what you need to create a breakthrough. Getting your own reports into your email box and also getting that follow up sequence just to help you with some more tips and tools. Now, we talked in the previous episode or in one of the previous episodes about some of the reasons why it's so hard for us to make the change and why people don't do it. And I'm going to give you a different spin on this today. So this is the second pillar in the fundamental philosophies ways of thinking, ways of being, that will guarantee, no kidding, will guarantee your business success. I want to start with a few statements and I want you to just notice your immediate reaction to them, your thoughts and your feelings to them. And if you're able to just quickly jot a couple of words down. Money is the easiest thing to make. There are 20 new clients waiting to pay you right now. You know exactly how to get your next income level in your business. Social media is a really fun way to find new clients. Your thoughts create your reality. How did those statements make you feel? Did you feel excited? Empowered? Or do you feel like your reality feels the total opposite of those statements?  And let me ask you this. If you did hold those thoughts as true in your mind, if you did believe that money was easy to make and there were clients literally waiting outside the door with money in their hand and your business breakthrough were just around the corner, how would you show up differently every day in your business? How would you feel different? What actions would you take or what actions would you stop doing? How much more engaged would you be with your business? That's exactly the point of this episode. The second pillar that guarantees your business success is when you choose the be before the do, when you learn and commit to being the person you need to be so you can do the things that you need to do and have the results that you want to have. Now, I know from experience that there's going to be plenty of you out there now, poo pooing this or thinking, it's a nice concept, but and that's exactly why 95% of people won't succeed in creating their dreams. They'll go back to the limiting programme, they'll keep doing more of the same thing, expecting a different result, because that's what your brain wants you to do. And because they're holding back or backing down from their dreams, somewhere in their brain, somewhere in their thoughts and their identity, they're backing down. They're not willing to practise the new thoughts that will support the necessary actions to generate the desired result. And it comes down to that word, practice. If I said to you, you can have these thoughts tomorrow, just hold these thoughts tomorrow, take action from these thoughts tomorrow and the day after that, you'll have your business breakthrough. You'd be on it like a rocket, right? But it doesn't happen as quickly as that. Well, sometimes things can happen, but it's a practice. You've had decades of programming and we've already talked in a previous session. How do we create a new belief, a thought on repeat? It happens quicker when we have the thought and we cement it in with new action over time. But you have to be willing to practise. So I want you to hold in your mind right now, how much do you want to change and what are you prepared to do to make that happen? A quick overview.  I've shared with you that if you don't have the programme, you won't make it a reality. That thoughts are a creative frequency and the frequency that you adopt the most is what you're seeing reflected in your reality that you can't get different unless you do different. So I want to give some evidence to your brain right now that how you are being is way more important, particularly at this stage, than what you are doing. J. K. Rowling. She was a broke single parent. She worked and she continued to write for 6 hours every day. She was turned down by twelve publishing houses. Big mistake there. Before Harry Potter was born Donald Fisher and his wife set up a clothing store in 1969 with no previous retail experience whatsoever. That store is Gap. Colonel Sanders had his secret recipe for KFC rejected a 1009 times before someone finally accepted it and he finally franchised KFC In 1962 Oprah Winfrey was brought up by a teenage single mother and in extreme poverty. She was sexually assaulted by family members, had a baby age 14 and that baby died shortly after. And as of 2020 she was worth 2.6 billion and went on to found the Oprah Winfrey Network. How did these people navigate all the challenges to continue pursuing a better life and creating the life of their dreams? It was their attitude. They decided who to be. They were committed to different. They held belief in themselves. They were not a prisoner of their conditioning or their past experiences. Rather they are a curator or they were, for those are no longer here of their thoughts and a creator of their reality. This goes back to the very beginning episode when I said it is your attitude, not your aptitude that determines your altitude. And I want to think about just an attitude being I'm going to just keep trying the same thing over and over and over again and just pray to God that something different changes. This is where Courage 101 starts. Right now I'm willing to do something that you're not necessarily going to get a response for straight away, but we'll talk about more about that later. So your business breakthrough is demanding from you, demanding from you right now, that you prioritise your thought work, that you create the necessary attitude and that you use your mind to rewrite unhelpful and outdated programmes of limitation. Before I share with you today's application exercise, let me tell you what it is not. This is not positive thinking. Some things are going to be shit. That's life. You don't need to sugarcoat it. But you do need to get resourceful in your brain. Resourceful means that you can and you will take action no matter what. This is also not about things always feeling easy or in flow. Things will still feel challenging and hard and maybe sometimes impossible. But the thoughts you choose to think will keep you in courageous motion. Finally, this is not about endlessly reciting affirmations and looking at pretty pictures on your vision boards. This is about intentional creation of a thought practise from which you act. Business Breakthrough Exercise #6 It sort of ties back to your potholes. Noticing the thoughts that you have had hitting the same potholes over and over again. Quitting the promises that you make to yourself and notice the thoughts that you have, that you have doing the same things in your business and expecting a different result. Notice the thoughts that make you feel bad inside your business. And when you have that list, take ownership of the result that they are creating. Take ownership of the results that you don't want. That's step number one. Number two is now about starting to curate a list of thoughts that are more resourceful. What thoughts about you, your potential clients, money, success, your method of transformation, your service, your product. Which thoughts would be more beneficial? Which thoughts? And this is the really important part. This is a step on from when we talked about this before, will foster empowering feelings, feelings of courage, commitment, determination, faith. And just notice, like I said, it's a thought at the moment versus a belief. The belief will be a byproduct of the practise of the thought. And when you practise those thoughts, what action will you be willing to start or stop? Actions that you can see will create a different result. Stop the procrastinating. Start time blocking. Stop binge watching Netflix. Start in person networking. Stop undercharging. Start working out in the morning. Stop signing up for all the free stuff. Start your thought practise. This is a practise. It will not happen overnight. But your success won't happen at all without it. So this is all about the be before the do. Stop getting caught up in doing more. Stop getting caught up in trying more things. Stop getting caught up in the belief that hard work is where the results are at. You already have evidence that those things aren't true because you are not where you want to be. So this is another layer deeper and another layer broader to when I just said to you take some thoughts and act from those. This is about teaching you that who you are being amplifies infinitely the impact of your action. When you take action. Let's just say, for instance, you're sending out an email to your list and you're doing it in a rush, and it's a sales email saying you want people to buy. And you're like, no one's going to buy. No one ever buys. No one clicks on my staff. And you write an email from that place. It's a completely different energetic signature that you're leaving on. That from when you've spent some time in a thought practise curating that what you have is worthwhile. You can help somebody, you expect somebody to click on the link that there are a queue of people waiting for you and you send that email from that energy, can you see the difference? And can you see now that there are a bajillion, small business owners taking exactly the same action and just a handful of them getting the results that they want? This is all to do with their energy, their attitude, the thoughts that they're holding, the frequency that they're creating and the person that they are being. So, like I said before, this isn't adding tonnes onto your day. Five minutes in the morning, use this with your anchoring techniques. We've already done. You've got a double whammy right there. The anchoring and the thought practise, because actually, the more you have the thought practise, you're naturally using an anchoring technique.     Find Your Business Potholes (and plan for failure)

    It's easy to be excited and motivated at the start, isn't it? It's fun to play and daydream about what you might do, but the minute you decide to start, your brain is going to kick back. We are now on episode number five in this bonus series and I'm going to introduce you now to three things. Three elements, three foundational philosophies, if you like that. I know when you put these in place into your business, you will have a business breakthrough. The really good news about this is it's not so much about lots of things to do, it's much more about ways of thinking or ways of being. So don't freak out that I'm going to add more to your to do list. There will be an application exercise in each, but it's like something that you're going to just do inside the life that you already have. So just take a listen and it'll become very apparent as we go through. Your Business Headlock  So in today's episode, I want to talk to you about what exactly that kickback looks like, why it's holding you in a business headlock and what you can do so you can create your business breakthrough. I call it PLANNING FOR FAILURE Before we go in to this very powerful foundational piece, I want to remind you we are going from AHA to application or AHA to action in the shortest time possible. Now, the basis of this episode is that my belief is that most people know what to do. What they don't know, what they don't understand is why they don't do it consistently and why what they tend to do is to look for more things to do and buy more things to do and they end up with more things that they're not doing. Does any of that sound like you? I know I have definitely been there. And the problem is that once we get into that space where we're trying more things, not doing those things consistently either end up with a laptop full of downloads and offers and freebies and courses that are just gathering dust, we now activate more blame, more shame and more judgement. From an energetic standpoint, it kind of robs us of our power energy in our solar plexus and just activates more shame. So we've got more stuff to do, we've got more feeling bad because you're not doing it. You've got more overwhelmed because of all the things that you're not doing that are taking up massive space in your brain and energy systems. More searching for the answer and nothing changes. So let me tell you what the answer is. You need to find your potholes. When you take the time to look back before you start moving forward, you're going to be able to fully identify and problem solve for all the reasons you haven't committed to your business fully before. Now, of course, in the last episode where we talked about the three pains that we're all trying to avoid, you can bring that into here. I'm giving you a different perspective as well. A different perspective which means you're going to consciously make better choices and consciously choose to use your mind to direct your programmed brain. Okay? When you do the looking back and you find your potholes, you're going to find all the reasons why you buy courses and don't finish them, or maybe you don't even start them. All the reasons why you grab every freebie and every download and the seven steps to all the reasons why you can't avoid that next shiny object. And the FOMO, all the reasons why you literally put everything and everyone else a higher priority than your business success. All the reasons why you keep being in the same place. And this philosophy that I have of finding your potholes is exactly the same reason that you use Google Maps or Waze before you head out on a trip. You want to know where there's been an accident or where there's roadworks or diversions so you can have the quickest and easiest route to your destination. Let me ask you this. What would happen for your business in the next three months if you honoured it in the same way as a journey? If you took some time to find your potholes and either plan your journey around them or filled them in and went over them? And are you willing to plan for failure so that you don't quit on yourself again? Please tell me. The answer is yes. Right? And it really is very simple. So, number one, I want you to think of potholes. They're weakened parts of the road that can cause potential damage to car tires, right? We've all done that. And they get strengthened. They get strengthened by getting weaker. The more times they're hit your potholes are the thoughts and behaviours that keep you hitting that stop part when you get to your desired sorry. That stop you getting your desired result. And the more times you hit them, the more you strengthen them. So when you keep hitting your plot holes, I want you to imagine it as you're strengthening your limiting programme in your brain. So you need to go on this backward journey. You have to identify the goals you've been working towards for six months or more with zero progress and identify the thought and behaviour traps that you keep falling into. Right? So as an example, I was talking with a client this week and when we talked about she has like this sort of three month commitment window and she just kind of like falls off and she stops doing stuff. So we talked about that. I said, what happens then? Tell me more about what you start to think. And she says, well, it's not as exciting anymore. It's a little bit more boring. I'm not seeing an instant result or I'm not getting that instant reward and I feel demotivated. And then I feel to myself, I can't be bothered. And so she said, so then I'll skip a day and I'll tell myself I'll do double tomorrow, only when tomorrow comes and I've got to do double the thing, it feels so overwhelming that I don't do that either. And then it rolls in, day three, day four, day five, and then that feels so overwhelming that in the end, it's just easier to quit. So the result that she has from running that model is that she's got this three month commitment window. So, simply put, when we look at her potholes, we're noticing your pattern, your model of quitting on your promise. That's the problem found now for the solution. And the solution kind of comes in two parts. It's having to practise the new thoughts and behaviours. Now, we've already addressed this in number two, but now I'm giving you context. Like, how can you actually find the problem and then use the exercise in episode number two to give you that solution? You have to practise these new thoughts and behaviours. Go back to those first four episodes in the series to remind yourself why this is the foundation of your success. If you think this is boring, you could choose to think, well, boredom is actually part of mastery and I'm really excited to master this. If you find yourself choosing distraction, you must choose focus. And that might look like time blocking, working in a different location, just choosing one project. You can't get a different result if you keep doing the same thing, no matter how many justified excuses your brain keeps offering you. Because you remember, your brain is biassed for safety. Growing a business does not feel safe for most of us at any point, right? So I class this one as filling the potholes. We notice the potholes, we fill them with something more resourceful, more action orientated, more new, and then we go over the potholes. We don't have to keep going around them anymore and making the road strong again. And then finally I talk about starting before the right, this is another important part. So when you think about starting before the start, if all you're thinking about is laying on your sunbed in the Maldives, then you're not planning for the possible roadworks on the way to the airport, or how to pack everything you want in your suitcase without going over the weight limit because you're just focused on the end. Let me give you another super example of this that I used to see a lot when I was a personal trainer. So it's Sunday night and you're telling yourself, right, this is it. I'm 100% going to start my fitness and fat loss journey. Tomorrow Monday. This is it. Last time. Definitely going to do it. And you wake up Monday morning to find that you've only got Cocoa Pops in the cupboard for breakfast, your sports bra and trainers are positively prehistoric and that you've forgotten that your kids have a party to go to tonight. So your gym session is out in the window. Now you're telling yourself, great, I've already fallen. First hurdle and I've fallen. You know what? And I can't start Tuesday because no one starts anything on a Tuesday. I'm going to wait till next week. And so the cycle begins again. You have to set yourself up for success by starting before the start. What needs to be in place that you have the best chance of succeeding? So let's finish off with an example inside your business. Let's say you decide to create and sell a course that's on your to do list for this week. And one of some of the things you might want to have in place or plan for before you start, are things like knowing where you're going to host the course, a clear definition of who you're serving with the course, exactly how this course is going to help them. The social media platforms that you're going to market on, the branding that you're going to use, the non negotiable launch date, the execution plan. By working back from that launch date, the follow up email sequence, start before the start, means that you're thinking about the bigger picture. You're making that roadmap. And this directive thinking is incredibly powerful for your brain as well as for your courage, because you know exactly what you're doing. You've already seen the potholes. You see where you failed before. You've problem solved for that and you're starting before the start. You're literally setting yourself up for success. Business Breakthrough Exercise #5 How you start is how you continue. So when you take the time to work out what has to be different, you can and you will create different results. So here's what you've got to do. Find your potholes for the goals you've been working on for six months or more with no progress, and problem solve for those before you continue. What do you tell yourself that makes you feel bad, that stops you taking the action that you need to do? And what are you going to do differently? How are you going to think differently Start before the start. What else can you do to set yourself up? Where do you make plans and give yourself a window to get something done and then realise there's 20 other things that have to happen before you can even do that? But because you didn't do the bigger thing, you're telling yourself you failed again, right? What has to happen to set yourself up for success? This is probably the only pillar out of the three that has got you to do a relative amount of work. But you've already started by looking at the thoughts that you need and want to hold to create different action. Think bigger picture. Because your business isn't just your business. Your business is an expression of you. Your best business demands the best you. And when you think bigger picture and how your business can be elevated by other sort of supportive habits and rituals and thoughts, you will succeed, my friends. You will succeed. So that's all the application is. Find your potholes, start before the start, and then get yourself ready for foundational pillar number two. You are going to love it. I'll see you there's.

    3 REASONS YOU CAN'T COMMIT TO YOUR SUCCESS

    If you want a new outcome, you will have to break the habit of being yourself and reinvent a new self - Joe Dispenza  This speaks perfectly to the fact that your business breakthrough is not on the other side of a new strategy, but on the other side of a new you. And you have already begun this process. You've gotten clarity from the workbook. You've started to repeat and act from higher level resourceful thoughts in the self Talk makeover.  You've installed a new Power Point and have anchoring techniques to change your state at any time. ALL of these tools are changing your programming, creating a new you and creating a new last act. Rewriting that final script that your brain had as a limiting programme. Why Will 95% Fail? The reason that 95% of people will fail to achieve their breakthrough and create the life that they want to live versus the one they've been conditioned to believe is available can be summed up in one word commitment. And it's not that they're not committed, but rather what they are choosing to be committed to. Because we are all committed to something. We all have a strategy for commitment. But maybe you've got to look at whether you're committed to comfort or growth, certainty or change, fast food or fresh food, old stories or new creations, limitation or abundance, working out or the remote control, like we're all committed somewhere. I had a coach who once said you are committed to the results that you have. And that really hurt. But he was simply pointing out that if you've had the same results, like month in, month out, year in, year out, that shows what you're committed to. And so now for those of you that are shouting at me, saying, yep, but Louise, I am committed. I'm always trying to make this work and I'm doing all this stuff and I'm never quitting. I hear you.  But when I had a look back, I looked at all the stopping and starting. I looked at frequently changing your mind about what you do and what you should do and all of that and signing up for new. Programmes and strategies and downloads, thinking that that thing is going to be the answer and second guessing yourself and always looking at what others are doing and having that FOMO. That's a commitment. But it's a commitment to playing out and confirming your existing programme. It's commitment to fighting for your limitations. It's your brain's way of getting you to commit to the comfort that comes with the certainty of staying where you are and commitment in your business. Commitment to grow your business and have your business breakthrough is going to require some new stuff from you. It's going to require that you choose one strategy and stick with it probably for 90 days minimum. That you're going to evaluate your results regularly for data about what to do next, leaning into that discomfort of possibly doing less, but doing it better. Taking the belief that unwanted results are not personal, they're just data only, working on the needle movers and deleting, delegating or deferring the rest out. So the million dollar question is why do you not commit to something that you want so badly? Well, number one, we've already discussed this, is that if you don't have a programme that doesn't support it, it's going to be awfully difficult to make that happen. Which means, number two, that your brain completely freaks out when you try and change what you already have. And number three is that you have to become a new you. (And I'm going to put a caveat on that because I don't want it to imply that you're not enough. When I talk about becoming a new you, I think it's actually more about remembering what you was born as, which is your infinite potential and possibility, because you are a creative being, like you're an extension of the universe) Number four, that self talk and anchoring are simple in the moment techniques that you can use right now to shift the way you feel and act. And number five, most people will not do this work because they don't think it's big enough, because it won't work, it will take too long. And that's why we get 95% of people having the same results over and over and over again, because they're committed to the thoughts that they're having that fight for their limitations in their brain. And so as we come into this high performance coaching and strategy pillar, we can dive a little bit deeper into what actually might be going on in your brain and what strategies are available to you to help you rewire your brain for that business breakthrough and long term success and joy. So I thought about it and I thought, what's going to benefit you the most? We've talked about the mind brain in a bit more detail, we've talked about the energy and frequency in more detail and I was like, what's going to be the biggest booster for you right now? And I think it's something, number one, is going to help you take the blame away from yourself. Something that we're all really good at is putting ourselves down and making out that it's something about us that we're not good enough we lack something compared to other people who we deem are successful. Well, what I'm going to share with you now is going to prove to you that actually it's your brain that's sabotaging you. And at the same time, you now get to choose if you're going to continue being committed to that. So helping to have an understanding of why it's so hard to change and why it's so difficult to commit something you want so bad. You have to have an awareness of what you fear or in other words, what is going on in your brain that makes it so hard. There are three pains that as human beings, we are all wired to avoid. These pains will challenge your commitment. These pains will have your brain always choosing safety. Your brain will always opt out of discomfort unless you direct it otherwise. Loss Pain - What might I lose if I go ahead with this? What potential for loss have I got? One of the things I want you to keep in mind first and foremost is remember that your brain likes comfort because certainty is comfort. Comfort is certainty. Your brain interprets that as, okay, they're safe, they're safe from danger. And anything that kind of threatens that is going to put it into like a survival mode, right? So what might you lose apart from comfort? Is there any fear of relationships changing? Do you feel like you might lose independence? Do you feel like you might lose time? Do you feel like you might lose identity? Process Pain - How hard is this going to be? Am I the kind of person that can take that level of discomfort? Do I have what it takes? What is this process going to feel like for me? Outcome Pain - What happens if I do all this and it doesn't work? Or I do it and I don't like it, or I do it and I end up in exactly the same place, or I do it and so loss, pain, process pain and outcome pain and unconsciously all the time. As you start to go towards your goals, your brain is offering you the results of avoiding these pains. And unless you can direct use your mind, your higher power, your will, your infinite potential, your determination to redirect your brain, you will always see the result of your brain safety mechanisms and you just can't create from that place. Business Breakthrough Exercise #4 Raise your awareness of what you fear and how it's showing up for you so that you can create something different. I'm giving you part of the homework from the high performance coaching framework that I give my one to one clients. And you're going to use this as a journaling exercise to excavate the real hidden reasons that you haven't been committed to your success in the way that is needed. So it's not that you haven't. And just remember, you didn't know all this information I've given you over the last four episodes. So cut yourself some slack. Stop beating yourself up. You've now got new information. You're implementing the information. You're doing something different. You will see different results. Period. Okay? And once you've revealed these hidden motivations, you can create thoughts from episode number two to activate the courage that is required to make the necessary changes inside your business.  I haven't changed or chased my dreams with more courage and commitment because I'm afraid I might lose........ I haven't changed or chased my dreams with more courage and commitment because the process might bring on these hardships in my life....  I haven't changed or chased my dreams with more courage and commitment because I'm afraid that despite all of the efforts, the outcome might not be so good and I could end up....  So we're looking at what might I lose, what hardships might happen? How might that process pain impact me? And what might the outcome be? The final question is:  When I overcome all of my fears and have the courage to take action and improve my life sorry and improve my life will be different in this way...... These are really important questions, so I had to answer these questions myself, actually, back in I think it was June when I was doing my coaching research and it was really quite an eye opener. And I've been doing this a long time, right, and I'm still getting AHAs from doing the homework that I give to my clients. So please give your breakthrough the commitment that it deserves by doing this funnel exercise. On top of that, if you have not yet done the Business Breakthrough Quiz yet, why not? Notice what old story it's giving you that you've listened to before and stayed in the same place doing the same thing. Notice how it's in control of the final act that must stop now you must be prepared to do something different. Prioritise the exercises I've given you over the last four episodes. You'll notice that most of these exercises are things that you can just add a slot into your days so easily in a couple of minutes. The journaling exercises, they can be a one and done or you can keep using them. None of this is going to take masses of times away from your business. And notice if there's a story that if you're not in your business, you're not growing it right now. The growth in your business requires the growth of you. So it just looks different for you at the moment. Take the quiz and look out for the email so you can start doing the action steps there. Because remember, if you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten.     You Can't Create What You Don't Vibrate

    Einstein said, "Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way". Welcome to episode three in this bonus series where I'm helping you to identify exactly where your business block is and giving you simple steps you can implement right now to create your next business breakthrough. Today we are talking about energy and specifically how you can leverage frequency to create a new outcome in your business. What you're not going to get here is Fluffy Law of Attraction stuff. You're going to get more of a scientific explanation of why this area creates limitation for so many small business owners and a powerful tool to start using right now to get you to your business breakthrough. So if you're ready, let's go. Every emotion has a frequency or a vibration. If you want to see this visually, just go to Google and put in Emotional Frequency chart or Emotional Frequency Cone and the image will come up and the cone will show you that down the bottom. The lower frequencies are things like guilt, shame, fear and the top higher level frequencies are things like joy and faith and happiness. I believe that most of you will have had personal experience of this already, because if you're, like many small business owners and I've been here and sometimes still fall into the trap, we are all too familiar with experiences of fear, anxiety, and overwhelm as an example. So I just want you to do a little bit of an experiment with me. I want you to think about how it feels in your body when you feel fearful about your business, when you're having thoughts that make you feel anxious and overwhelmed. Where is that in your body? What kind of sensations are you having? Are you getting a dry mouth? Are you getting palpitations? Are you getting sweaty palms? Do you get a tight chest? Do you feel it in your stomach? Just notice that for me. And now let's flip that over and say what happens when you feel joy. Think about a time when you've signed an amazing new client or you've done a launch that's gone well, or you have the most amazing idea that just kind of like seems to flow out of you. Where is that in your body? How does that feel different? So you've just experienced right there how quick and easy it is to change our state. Okay? So we call state, as in all the sensations of being in, like, say, for instance, in a physical emotion. So you've just done that right there, right now. Now, the truth is, you can't create what you don't vibrate. In other words, if you don't practise high frequency thoughts that create high frequencies, you cannot create the outcomes in your business that you so desperately want. In the last episode, I shared that if you don't have a programme in your brain for your success, it's almost impossible for you to make it happen. And that is exactly why there are so many exhausted, hardworking, small business owners constantly stuck in the same results. But I'm afraid there's more bad news. You see, the more you don't see the results, the more you're going to vibrate in the lower frequencies of fear, disappointment, anger, shame, guilt, overwhelm. And as we are in a creative, energetic universe and we are energetic, creative beings, we are constantly creating what we're vibrating. In other words, when we are in these lower frequencies, you are constantly lining up with more outcomes that you don't want, creating more results that are confirming to your programme. Y This doesn't work for you. You're not capable. You're not allowed to have this success. It has to be harder for you. Other people find it easier. So, do you see how the brain and the mind is now linking so succinctly with the body and the energy? Your reality is constantly a reflection of your emotional frequency, which has been created in every moment by your programme and the thoughts you keep choosing to hold. Now, that's exactly why I said to you your business breakthrough isn't a new strategy, it's a new story. Now, I know that might also seem a little bit heavy. You're thinking, oh, great, well, I feel like I've been stuck here for heaven forever. How do I get out? So I've tried everything. Let's just take a breath and notice that you have already started to do something differently. You have created from episode one that definite line in the sand. You've downloaded the workbook and I know that you've started to fill that in. Maybe you've completed it. Number two, you know all about the self talk makeover from episode number two and you're using those new thoughts every day to take action from, right? You are doing that, yes?     Change Your Story NOT Your Strategy

    The only thing that's keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling yourself - Tony Robbins Welcome back to episode 2 in this seven episode series, where I'm introducing you to the Build Your Business 6 Pack formula, my signature coaching programme and giving you some very simple, immediately actionable steps to help you go from being blocked in your business to having your business breakthrough. Remember, I've also created the worksheet and the quiz for you. Get the workbook Take the quiz In the following three episodes, I'm talking to you in more detail about each of the three elements of the Build Your Business 6 Pack. And we're going to start with the biggie. The brain and the mind. And right now, I'm going to tell you exactly why the brain is probably your biggest problem. Attitude So, in episode number one, the last episode, I talked to you about attitude and how attitude is an expression of your beliefs or philtres and feelings about all things. You can also think of this as your story. The unconscious script that your brain has created for your life, it's already written the entire play. The ending has already been decided, unless you decide to change your story. Now, in commitment to keeping my podcast episodes short and in service to you, I'm not going to go into huge detail about how you got your story. Simply put, all the information that you received, mainly between the ages of zero and seven, but not exclusively so, all of that information you received from all of your senses created these unconscious filters through which everything that came after that was filtered through and it created these beliefs and expectations inside your brain. You can look at it as it created your life script. And when you consider that inside the average household by the age of 18, you have been told no in excess of 148,000 times, it's easy to see how so many of your programmes can be of lack and limitation. So what does this mean for you and your business? If your brain doesn't hold a programme, doesn't have the conditioning where you are abundant and successful, it will be almost impossible for you to create that as a reality. And that's why you can take a tonne of action, keep trying new things, never give up. And yet the results are always the same. Nothing changes. It's like taking all of the ingredients to bake an amazing cake, mixing it all up into the batter, putting it in the oven and not turning the oven on. The question is, do you want to keep working harder? Do you want to keep spending money on new strategies but not using them, not implementing, not getting results? Do you want to keep experiencing the reality of your limiting beliefs? I'm going to take a guess that the answer is no. And what I'm hoping should now be evident from these first two episodes is that in order to change your reality, you need to start by changing your story, not your strategy. And that's what I'm going to show you how to do right now. In episode #5 I'm sharing a 2nd exercise to rewire your subconscious mind.  Right now I'm giving you something to implement that will have an immediate impact. PLUS.. there is a audio recording to help you rewire your subcoscious mind...  And it's going to be based on the following three things I want you to know. Beliefs are nothing more than thoughts repeated. They are not truths. They feel true because they have such a strong emotional charge for us.But they are nothing more than a thought that you have had on loop. Beliefs can be changed instantly if you have ever not been scared of flying and then had a bad flight and then instantly become scared of flying. That's how quickly a belief can change your limiting beliefs. Your limiting beliefs are conditioned. Your success beliefs are created. So this is how we start now, looking at differentiating the brain, which we know is about keeping us in survival mode. It's about keeping us safe. And our brain doesn't like the challenge of new and how we can use our mind, our higher self, our will, our divine, to redirect our brain to do the things that we need it to do. Business Breakthrough Exercise #2 If your story is made of thoughts that have been repeated, how do you think a new story is made? You got it. It's simply the repetition of new thoughts. Think of it like rewriting the screenplay of your life. You have to go back to the beginning to change the final scene. You have to change your self talk. This isn't about thinking positive, but it's about thinking with a desired outcome in mind. It's about self talk that you've created with your infinite mind, the mind of limitless possibilities to direct your brain to do something that it doesn't want to do or to believe something that it doesn't yet believe. Here's exactly how you're going to do it and it's going to start making an impact. Today, I want you to write down three to five thoughts that will now think of them like your thought sherpas. They are going to guide your actions every single day. You can have different thoughts every day or the same, it doesn't matter. It just has to work for you. This is where you start tapping into your intuition what's going to work for you. But what you must know is that you need to know and you need to see and you need to feel how, with these thoughts, you will show up as a different person inside your business, showing up the way you already know that you need to show up. I'm going to share some examples with you so you can see, feel and understand what I mean. So I just wrote five random things down. I am choosing what is possible for me and I am choosing success. Making money can be easy and fun. It is really powerful for me to charge for the change I can help someone make in their life. Small, consistent action is the most powerful way for me to get a breakthrough. I am who I say I am. I achieve what I commit myself to.   This isn't about positive thinking, reeling off affirmations verbatim, just saying the words. This is about you picking a thought. Choosing a thought where you can actually in your mind's eye and in your body, see how you would show up differently. It's about recognising that there are some thoughts that you have right now that mean that somewhere in your business you're backing down, somewhere you're not being courageous, somewhere you're not stepping up, somewhere you're not doing what you know needs to be done. Maybe you procrastinate, you're not committed, you're distracted, you put other people first instead of your business. And choosing a thought that you know that when you practise and you act from that thought by choice, by consciousness, you will create a different outcome. Best Practice Do not rush this first part when you're choosing the thoughts. Like I say, this isn't just empty affirmations, this is life changing, conscious thought choices. Write down, I'd say, like at least ten more if you want, and then pick the ones that feel most powerful. Anything that gives you like a visceral reaction is always good. But if you're not quite that kinesthetic, just trust your gut to choose the most powerful ones, the ones that you can see will have you acting in a different way. Do not underestimate the power of this practise. That right there is a limiting programme and will keep you in the strategy search. You have to understand how powerful this is when you commit and of course, impact requires implementation. When you act from this new self talk, what exactly are you going to do differently? What will you start doing immediately? What will you stop doing immediately? And it would benefit you to get that written down as well. Let me tell you it's going to be hard. Your brain is going to resist, your body's going to resist. But if you want to succeed in your business, you're going to be willing to push past that discomfort and do those things from that thought. You have to have the implementation to have impact. You have to practise it. It is unresourceful and often damaging beliefs of lack and limitation that lead to frantic and unfocused action taken from fear and desperation that have small business owners spinning their wheels, creating the same unsatisfying results over and again and have them thinking that there is a magic strategy that's missing. There is no missing strategy. There is just no one telling you that the most powerful strategy is you. Until now. So over the next seven episodes, I'm going to help you become that strategy. And I'm not going to just bombard you with information, I am coaching you to implement, because that's the only thing that will create the change that you require.     Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back. Harvey Mackay   I don't have enough time I'm always so busy  I have too much to do How many times have you heard yourself say this? And how do you feel when you're saying this to yourself day in, day out? "Too much to do and too little time to do it" is such a common, limiting belief.  It's a "weed in my brain" that I regular have to pull out. In fact, it's so well rehearsed that I FEEL it before I think it.  In this epsiode I'm going to share with you how: 1. I'm too busy/I have too much to do is a LACK model  2. Why it's creating the results you don't want  3. What I'm doing about it when that thought comes up for me I'm also going to share the Model i'm running when i'm telling myself I don't have enough time.     Are You Honouring The Season You're In?

    What if you honoured the season you were in? How would treat yourself differently? How would you talk to yourself differently? Right now, I'm very much in a season that I'm unfamiliar with. And I want to share that experience with you in the hope that it will help you recognise and journey through yours. What I've noticed, is that people are almost totally disconnected from the season that they're in. Because we've been taught to "get on with it"; "be strong" or just accept that it's part of life.  So let me start with a quote: “We all know that if the seasons were the same, there would be no growth. We know that without winter there would be no spring. We know that without frosts there would be no bulbs and without the monsoon there would be no rice harvest. In the same way, we also know that without sorrow there would be no joy. Without pain there would be no healing. I think that's precisely where the beauty comes in. It comes in through the fruit of the seasons. He has indeed made everything beautiful in its time.”  ― Naomi Reed, My Seventh Monsoon: A Himalayan Journey Of Faith And Mission I believe that my current season started Feb 2020, when I was in the room when the Dr told my dad his cancer care would now be palliative. It was a slow motion experience. I couldn't see my dads face, but I could see my mum looking at my dad. I looked across at my twin sister and in that moment it was as if I could feel everybody's reaction all in one go. I believe my current season is the “grande finale” of the last 3 years and it finds me navigating the spectrum of emotions – sometimes in one day. From starting the day feeling clear and confident to ending it feeling like I have no idea what I'm doing with my life – and a tonne of tears inbetween.   Anxiety still visits and there are days where I have to coach myself out of bed.   I find it harder to maintain motivation, I get very stressed by being on social media and my head feels empty a lot of the time – not helpful at all for content and marketing.   I wanted to share ALL of this with you because I value transparency. If I'm experiencing this, I know I'm not alone. And If I can help even one person with this episode, it will be worth it.   ONCE YOU ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR SEASON, ASK YOURSELF WHAT YOU NEED   Before I finishup with today's simple and powerful homework, here's a quote from an incredible book that I'm re-reading in this season – Letting Go….   “Letting go involves being aware of a feeling, letting it come up, staying with it, and letting it run its course without wanting to make it different or do anything about it. It means simply to let the feeling be there and to focus on letting out the energy behind it. The first step is to allow yourself to have the feeling without resisting it, venting it, fearing it, condemning it, or moralizing about it. It means to drop judgment and to see that it is just a feeling. The technique is to be with the feeling and surrender all efforts to modify it in any way. Let go of wanting to resist the feeling. It is resistance that keeps the feeling going. When you give up resisting or trying to modify the feeling, it will shift to the next feeling and be accompanied by a lighter sensation. However, after seeing a FB post last year, where she was celebrating not drinking for 2 years, I was compelled to reach out.  Her post about becoming sobert was so raw and compelling that I wanted to know more.  What had made her choose sobreity?     Self Judgement is how conditioned mind keeps control over your life - Cheri Huber After having a bit of a meltdown this weekend over impending perimenopause(details in the podcast)..     Sitting in Possibility and 10x'ing Her Business in 12 Months

    The Child Within Still Cries - Relinquishing my Demons With an IronMan

    At the age of 69, Ron decided to train for a solo IronMan. Due to covid, he wasn't able to complete it until September 2022, at the age of 71 and in just 15 hours.  But for Ron, it wasn't so much about the physical challenge - but more about using it as a vehicle to exorcise the demons of childhood abuse, that he'd carried his whole life.  Raising money for the National Association of People Abused in Childhood, Ron tells us how every cycle and every run was a way to "squeeze the bas*ard" out of his mind and his life, once and for all.  As part of the "What's Possible When You Decide" series, I feel that this interview is more about what happens when you KEEP deciding. Keep deciding that you are worthy. Keep deciding that you can love yourself. Keep deciding that there is a different future available.  I have listened to many of Ron's stories when we spent a couple of months working together, and I continue to be inspired by this man over and again.     What Happens When. You Decide Paralysis Won't Be Your Life Story

    At the age of 22, Jamie became paralysed from the waist down, and down the left side of his face, due to an auto immune condition. His doctors said this very rare condition had no known cause nor cure, and that he would be medicated for the rest of his life for the pain. But Jamie had different ideas.  He made a very different, and very powerful decision. And today you get to find out what that is. (I've marked this as explicit as there are a couple of curse words and I don't want to offend anyone!) WELCOME I am so fascinated by the human brain and how we choose to use it. That when, in our soul, we make a decision, we can literally change our lives. And so I decided to do some bonus podcasts where I interview amazing people who have done just that.  I met Jamie, when he faciliated a Wim Hoff workshop that I attended in November 2022.  I was blown away by his story and his energy and it was then that I decided to start recording these interviews.  Micro Steps One of the most profound and valuable shares in this interview, for me, was the realisation of the quatum change Jamie created in his life from MICRO steps.     How to Manage Your Emotions in Your Small Business

    The single most common problem that I see small business owners struggling with is managing their emotions - specifically, how can they STOP their results making them feel negative.  So in today's episode I have ONE goal - to help you disembark the emotional roller coaster and divorce your emotions from the results you get in your business.  The truth is, emotions cause more small business owners to close their business than anything else.  And worse than that, I think they often believe it's "something about them" that makes them feel that way.  Let me tell you this... it's perfectly NORMAL to have all the emotions in your business. It's a challenging journey and it's one that most people in the world wouldn't dream of - so you're already winning.  HOWEVER - if you do want your business to succeed, then you WILL need to understand how to manage your emotions.  When I'm coaching my clients I use a framework called The Success Triad - and it will literally get you any result you want in your life and business.     Why You Need The Version of You That You Haven't Met Yet

    There's a version of yourself you haven't met yet. Keep showing up until you are introduced - Jim Kwik.  I think THIS is the most important thought to hold on to if you are the kind of person who is wanting to create a change in your life, to hit your goals and to create any result you want.  Because in a world that wants to sell you systems and strategies, no-one is actually telling you that 7% ish of people of buy such things succeed. Not many people want to tell you that the common denominator between every person who succeeds in creating and living the life they want is HOW THEY CHOOSE TO THINK.  And it's this commitment to CHOOSING THOUGHTS that creates the version of you that you haven't met yet.  Think about it. I doubt you're the same person as you were 20 years ago. Life has changed you. Perhaps you have taken on new roles such as mum, husband, wife, care giver. Maybe you took on a different job role. Maybe you moved countries - all of these changes, changed YOU. But what if... your whole life could change by you CHOOSING to change. By BE-coming who you need to be.  I remember when I used to go to slimming club. There were two types of people. Type A were the ones who did really great for most of the week, pigged out the weekend, starved themselves the day of the weigh in and then brushed off their lack of results with, "i'll start again tomorrow" or "life's too short not to enjoy yourself".  Type B were the ones who completed the diary sheets, who counted their points, who got creative and resourceful with cooking, who created balance throughout the week, who worked out. They owned their results on the scales.  Type A was a MUCH bigger group than Type B.  Type A took action with the same identity.     This is Why You Find it so Hard to Create Change and Get Results

    I ran a workshop yesterday on “Managing Your Thoughts & Emotions”. Through the day, I coached people on fixing their marriage, developing a healthier relationship with food and body image, changing careers even though they didn't know what they wanted and how to love yourself enough to put yourself back in the dating scene. And it occurred to me, that every person had the same problem, which wasn't the problem they thought they had. It would be safe to assume that when you are struggling to create change it's because you don't know the “how”. Or that you haven't found the right “how” yet. BUT…. We have a infinite supply of both, at the end of our fingers, with search engines and social media. We can learn how to do, change or achieve anything. For free. If we wanted to. WELL IT MUST BE THOUGHTS THEN right ? You don't have the right thoughts. You have limiting beliefs.     I've been thinking a lot about the word "mindset". And I started to discover that there is a possibility that "working on your mindset" could be doing you more harm than good.  The word mindset COULD imply that 1.. That it's something personal and have you feeling and thinking that there is something wrong with you 2.. That the thoughts you have and the thoughts you choose are the same thing 3..     The Truth About Being Motivated

    Notice what happens in your brain when you tell yourself “I'm don't have motivation or I'm not motivated”. You make it personal. You make it mean something about YOU. And how does THAT make you feel? Crappy, right?  And do you do the things you need to when you have those thoughts & emotions? NO!!The truth is this: You don't HAVE motivation, you GENERATE it So today, I want to talk to you about what motivation really is and how you can generate, grow and sustain it! And as always, I'll give you something to implement right away Lets start with how you might define and expect to experience motivation Motivation is something you have or something you feel that helps you take action toward something you want/to achieve a goal When you feel motivated you feel good and have good thoughts about yourself & your goal When motivation is absent you feel bad, probably have a whole heap of negative conversations in your head – about you and tell yourself “you'll never make it/get there”.  3 ways that DESTROY motivation #1. Letting your results determine your degree of motivation #2. Defining motivation in terms of how much you get done/productivity #3. Relying on extrinsic motivation The biggest motivation killer is having the subconscious thought, on loop, that THIS OUTCOME IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ME… How in gods name can you stay motivated when you really don't believe in the inevitability of your success?     The REAL Reason Your Results Don't Match Your Action

And THAT is the problem  Because as a small business owner, I am almost 100% sure that taking action is not something you shy away from.  I would guess that you are an action taker.  That your brain never switches off from all the things you are to do, could do, should do.  BUT LET ME ASK YOU...     3 Life Lessons From Getting Rescued From The Lake

    It was just another Saturday swim at the lake with my sister and friend.  Only it wasn't just another Saturday.  And that was my first mistake.  About 30 minutes later I was getting pulled out of the lake by the lifeguard.  I learned 3 very valuable life lessons that day.  3 lessons that I try and live by every day to bring more mental, emotional and spiritual presence to my days.  Alpha Female I used to pride myself on the Alpha Female traits... but are they what they are cracked up to be?  Is a "healthy" place to find ourselves ... or are we all leading ourselves to  a place where we'll need to be rescued? There are NO medals given for being a f*cking Island, and yet, for some many of us we do it all alone.  We leave much needed conversations hanging.  We exhaust ourselves in pursuit of being self sufficient and the answer to everything. We show others it's NOT ok to ask for help.  What are we teaching our children? One thing that drives me more than ever is this thought, "What am I showing my children to be true?"     Get Clarity on Your Plan. Get Clear in Your Brain

    This time of the year it's easy to check out. Especially if you don't have the results that you wanted to create over the last 12 months. And that's really why I detest New Year's Resolutions. It's just another false starting point when in truth, we have a choice in every moment to make a powerful, new decision rather than a decision from resignation. So this week I'm going to COACH YOU! I want you to have a sense of clarity and certainty BEFORE New Year arrives. I want you to feel anchored in to resourceful and powerful emotions AND taken a step toward creating the self concept you need in order to start creating the results you want.   And before we start, here's a thought I want you to borrow as we do this work together. THERE IS PLENTY OF TIME LEFT THIS YEAR FOR ME TO GET DIFFERENT RESULTS AND CREATE A POWERFUL PLAN FOR GROWTH.
