About Gaëlle Andreatta: Gaëlle Andreatta is the co-founder and CTO of apheros, a startup manufacturing metal foams for thermal, catalysis, and battery applications. She holds a PhD in Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University and an MBA from ETH/HSG. Gaëlle worked for companies like Oxford Nanopore Technologies and CSEM before co-founding apheros in 2023. apheros' novel metal foams offer unprecedented properties due to their extremely high surface area and low density. The best way Gaëlle has of explaining how metal gets turned into a foam to people with little scientific background is through the metaphor of making meringue. apheros makes metal foams in a way that is “similar” to how you would froth your egg white. They foam their metal, shape it, and then use very high temperatures to set the shape. Their metal foam is useful for cooling down certain materials (in a similar way to how liquid cooling works), for kickstarting certain chemical reactions, and for ensuring the current collectors in lithium ion batteries work optimally.  apheros is currently working closely with between 60 to 70 customers, and in talks with a dozen more. Their team is 2/3s women, which Gaëlle attributes not to any conscious decision on their part but to the fact that both co-founders are women, which probably encourages female applicants to apply. Arica was born and raised in Huerfano County and has a deep sense of respect for the land and the way of life in Southern Colorado. Arica graduated from John Mall High School in Walsenburg and then moved to Boulder, where she obtained a BA in Business Management with an emphasis in Real Estate from the University of Colorado. Throughout college, she worked as a mortgage broker assistant, and upon graduation in 2007, she became a licensed broker associate at Coldwell Banker, one of the leading real estate brokerages in Boulder, CO.Although Arica was fortunate enough to have a great deal of success as a realtor in Denver and Boulder, she felt something was missing. She decided to take a leap of faith and move back to Southern Colorado, as this is where her heart resided. Upon her return, she worked as a manager for a large corporation that offered durable medical equipment throughout Southern Colorado. Arica learned a great deal about managing other employees, financial accounting, human resources, marketing, and the overall skills necessary to operate a successful business. She was then promoted to a Sales Representative position, where she traveled all over Southern Colorado, meeting with physicians and promoting the business and equipment offered. Through these travels, Arica often thought about real estate and how passionate she was about helping others find their little piece of heaven, just as she had found her serenity in the quaint town of La Veta, Colorado.Arica then decided to join the fine group at Capture Colorado, where she learned about Real Estate in Southern Colorado and how it differs from Northern Colorado. Arica immediately found great success, as she was the top producer in the company and among the top 10 producers in Huerfano County in 2015, closing over $4.7 million in sales with 34 successful transactions. With this success, she decided to spread her wings and open her own brokerage firm and has steadily continued her success, which was shown in 2016 when she was named “The Broker of the Year” and in 2017 when she was given the title of “The Top Producer” in Huerfano County with over $11,000,000 in personal sales and $21,000,000 as a company. In 2018, Arica was named one of the “10 Best Real Estate Agents in Colorado” by the American Institute of Real Estate Agents. In 2019, Arica served as the Spanish Peaks MLS President. From 2019-2021, Arica served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Pueblo Association of Realtors. In 2020, Arica received the prestigious designation of ALC (Accredited Land Consultant) which places her amongst the elite 44 brokers in the State of Colorado to hold this designation out of the 44,0000 licensed brokers in the state. In 2021 Arica served as a member of the Colorado Association of Realtors Grievance Committee amongst a variety of other county boards, committees, and volunteer efforts. In early 2022, Arica received recognition from USA TODAY as one of the “Top 10 Real Estate experts to follow in 2022”. In 7 short years, Arica led her team to unprecedented numbers for the region, closing over 3,184 transactions, which has attributed to over $552,000,000 in closed sales dollars. 2024 is already off to the best start yet, thanks to the dedicated team of brokers and support staff at Code of the West Real Estate and with the guidance of Arica and her leadership!Amongst these many successes, Arica's true passion for management and teaching others how to find similar success persisted and she is honored to say Code of the West now employs 60+ local community members and is consistently adding new positions. Every individual who works for Code of the West Real Estate strives to better the community in which they live and has found success while doing so.Arica is the owner and managing broker of the Code of West Real Estate and volunteers a great deal of her time in order to benefit her community. As proof of Arica's dedication to her community, she was elected by an overwhelming majority in 2020 to serve as a Huerfano County Commissioner for a 4 year term. More than anything, Arica is a wife and proud mother of two boys, Jhett Willis, and Madix Don Andreatta. As an avid outdoorswoman, Arica and her family have a deep sense of passion and respect for the land and enjoy spending their free time exploring Colorado and working on their La Veta Cattle Ranch.Learn More: https://www.cotwrealestate.comElite Real Estate Leaders Podcasthttps://businessinnovatorsradio.com/elite-real-estate-leaders-podcastSource: https://businessinnovatorsradio.com/interview-with-arica-andreatta-owner-broker-code-of-the-west-real-estate

Calling all managers! Learn how to support your employees' sense of purpose and unlock their full potential. In this episode of the HR Mixtape podcast, host Shari Simpson interviews Dr. Britt Andreatta, CEO of Brain Aware Training, about the intersection of neuroscience, leadership, and purpose in the workplace. The conversation explores the importance of finding balance between happiness and purpose, how HR professionals can help employees unearth their sense of purpose, and the role of managers in encouraging employees to fulfill their potential. Three key takeaways from this episode are: Happiness and purpose are both important for employee well-being. While happiness focuses on immediate joy, purpose provides a deeper sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. HR professionals can support employees in discovering their purpose by making it a common conversation, asking about their sense of purpose during hiring and onboarding, and providing resources for self-reflection and exploration. Managers play a crucial role in helping employees fulfill their potential by setting goals, pushing them out of their comfort zones, and removing roadblocks that hinder their growth. When employees feel supported in their purpose, they are more likely to be resilient, have better health, and stay with the company. To learn more about the fascinating connection between neuroscience, leadership, and purpose, tune in to this insightful episode of the HR Mixtape podcast with Shari Simpson and guest Dr. Britt Andreatta. Military Medicine & WarDocs present: "A Ready Medical Force Special Collection" MILMED-D-21-00643: “Upper Extremity Vascular Exposures for Trauma: Comparative Performance Outcomes for General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons” EPISODE SUMMARY Discover the critical skills Military General and Orthopedic Surgeons need to confidently diagnose and manage upper extremity vascular injuries on and off the battlefield. Our conversation with Dr. Pamela Andreatta, Director of Surgical Skills Assessment at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, reveals the importance of courses like ASSET+ and the Combat Orthopedic Trauma Surgical Course in training and assessing readiness. We dive deep into the factors influencing the performance of military surgeons and assess the pre-training scores of Military General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons. Listen in as Dr. Andreatta breaks down how experience and the volume of operative practice impact success in managing these complex injuries. We also discuss the challenges military teams face when integrating into operational teams, and how pre-deployment and post-deployment rehearsals ensure the maintenance of critical capabilities. Join us in this thought-provoking episode as we emphasize the importance of good research in Military Medicine and explore the complexities of maintaining preparedness and readiness in the field. EPISODE CHAPTERS (0:00:01) - Preparing Surgeons for Battlefield Vascular Injuries (0:12:12) - Assessing Surgical Training and Performance (0:24:25) - Maintaining Critical Medical Team Capabilities   EPISODE CHAPTER SUMMARIES (0:00:01) - Preparing Surgeons for Battlefield Vascular Injuries (12 Minutes) We explore the preparedness of Military General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons to confidently deal with upper extremity vascular injuries in battlefield settings. To assess readiness and train critical expeditionary procedural skills, we discuss the importance of courses like ASSET+ and the Combat Orthopedic Trauma Surgical Course. Dr. Andreatta discusses her Military Medicine paper, “Upper Extremity Vascular Exposures for Trauma: Comparative Performance Outcomes for General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons”. We look back at the recent high op tempo time in OIF and OEF and consider the likelihood of encountering extremity vascular injuries in Role II MTFs and below. We discuss the importance of preparedness to recognize and control peripheral vascular bleeds to save lives and limbs. (0:12:12) - Assessing Surgical Training and Performance (12 Minutes) We investigate the pre-training scores of Military General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons, exploring the factors that could influence the performance of these medical professionals. The sample was largely homogeneous and consisted of junior personnel with limited deployment experience, though it was found that the more experienced surgeons with a higher volume of operative practice tended to perform better. We also discuss the determination of the benchmark score, and how it is rooted in measurement science and clinical medicine. Lastly, we learn that although the Orthopedic Surgeons did not reach the benchmark at baseline, the quality of the surgeons and the fact that they are able to recognize performance gaps allows them to work on improving their skills. (0:24:25) - Maintaining Critical Medical Team Capabilities (6 Minutes) We discuss the challenges military teams face when integrating into operational teams and the necessity of individual professional role capabilities. We also discuss the need for pre-deployment and post-deployment rehearsals, and the importance of providing resources for military surgeons to maintain their abilities. Finally, we explore the potential of pre-planning through videos and reading to reduce the "Walker dip" between deployments.   EPISODE KEYWORDS  Military Medicine, Battlefield Vascular Injuries, Surgical Training, Performance, Medical Team Capabilities, Pre-Deployment Rehearsals, Post-Deployment Rehearsals, Dr. Pamela Andreatta, Asset Plus, Combat Orthopedic Trauma Surgical Course, Operative Practice, Junior Personnel, Deployment Experience, Benchmark Score, Measurement Science, Clinical Medicine, Walker Dip, Journal of Military Medicine, WarDocs   #Military #Medical #Podcast #WarDocs #Orthopedics #Surgeon #GeneralSurgeon #Vascular #Injuries #MilitaryMedicine #Readiness #Training #Knowledge #Skills #Abilities #KSAs   Honoring the Legacy and Preserving the History of Military Medicine The WarDocs Mission is to improve military and civilian healthcare and foster patriotism by honoring the legacy, preserving the oral history, and showcasing military medicine career opportunities, experiences, and achievements. They are activated when you perform habits. This is “autopilot” mode, which helps enable you to do tasks quickly, accurately and without conscious thought.  A useful mindset as a learning designer is to think about design habits. The brain's reward system is a powerful motivation for humans to complete tasks. As learning designers, it's important to leverage this concept and implement cues within your learning design.Ensure you are fully analysing what needs to be done and how effective your learning material is. Don't take clients' analysis at face value, so go back to square one and be clear on what the best solution is.You can apply brain-based strategies to both in-person and online environments. The main thing is giving the learners enough space and time to practise. Britt recommends simulations, role plays and virtual reality for this.Segmented time stamps:[01:50] The link between habits and workplace learning[05:04] Integrating cues and rewards in learning design[08:08] Brain-based strategies used for building habits[11:10] The importance of analysing the full learning experience[13:24] Strategies for digital learning[16:25] When to consider using VR for learning[21:16] Why learning designers don't apply enough brain-based strategiesLinks from the podcast:Connect with Britt on LinkedInBritt's WebsiteRead the book ‘Wired To Grow' by Britt AndreattaBooks and resources Brit recommended‘The Power of Habit' by Charles Duhigg‘Make it Stick' by Henry Roediger III, Mark McDaniel and Peter BrownNature Scientific American

TESTO DELL'ARTICOLO ➜ www.bastabugie.it/it/articoli.php?id=6858DRAGHI DITTATORE? No, ovviamente. Eccole.

In this episode,  you'll hear a masterwork—Sergei Rachmaninov's Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor Op. 36, performed by 2018 Honens Semifinalist Stefano Andreatta. Rachmaninov composed his piano music for himself. He was an amazing virtuoso with a secret weapon ... enormous hands! With his fingers spread, his reach was 12 notes wide, or an octave and a half. Those big intervals are an extra challenge for other pianists learning his work. -Watch the video edition of this excerpt at honens.com/home.

Dr. Britt Andreatta has a unique approach to personal growth, meeting your biggest challenges head on and more – and it involves your brain. A lengthy career in leadership and neuroscience has made Andreatta an expert on the science behind how our brains work, and that information can be used to elevate the way you approach your life, career, leadership potential and more. On this episode of FranklinCovey Education's Change Starts Here, host Dustin Odham sat down with Andreatta to pick her brain about, well, brain science. Specifically, Andreatta said that, aside being naturally inclined to take care of basic needs like survival and belonging, we're all wired to strive for and achieve our potential. “Where I think we get in trouble a lot is that, oftentimes, modern day things and our world, technology and workplaces ask us to go against our biology, and it doesn't end well,” Andreatta said. “Our deepest need is [that] we're wired to become our best selves. It's our hunger to learn and grow. It's our hunger to get better. It's our hunger to achieve.” That desire doesn't go away in the face of adversity, either. Even in the darkest moments of your life, your desire to heal and move forward and achieve the things you've set out to is still present, and our emotions serve as a barometer toward finding your path once again. “We all want to be seen and heard, and we all want to grow to be our best selves,” Andreatta said. Professionals tasked with developing and implementing learning modules for organizations face many challenges and opportunities. The design of the course and learning experience make all the difference in changing behaviors. Talking about this topic, Voices of eLearning host JW Marshall spoke with Dr. Britt Andreatta, CEO of 7th Mind.Dr. Andreatta is a thought leader in the space. She began her career in higher ed at the University of California Santa Barbara, working on student success programs. She then moved on to the Chief Learning Officer at Lynda. From those experiences, she authored three books on brain science and how it impacts learning. She then started 7th Mind as a consultant and offers a trainer certification program.Dr. Andreatta first shared the biggest evolutions in online learning. “Access is one part; there are no more gatekeepers. We've democratized learning. There are also lots of platforms and types. For learning professionals, making the right choice on tech to support learning design and the journey for the learner is critical,” she said. That's because people are biologically driven to learn, but too much complexity can derail efforts. The pandemic took online learning to a new level. “There has been a breakthrough moment, but just because you do it online, doesn't mean it makes sense. Blended learning is having the right tools at the right time,” Dr. Andreatta commented. What eLearning professionals need to start with is how to turn learning moments into memory and drive behavior change. It's not a one size fits all model. They have to choose the best tools and types of learning for the behavior change. “Learning designers need to be clear about what metric they're trying to move and what behavior drives it. Those are the two ends of the bridge, and they have to build the stepping stones.”

L'Olanda è fra i paesi messi peggio. Workshops are arranged for many different reasons, but so often there is something more beneath the surface – a deeper question that needs to be answered or a problem that the client cannot yet articulate.Clients are ‘inside' the problem, so it is understandable that they might not be able to truly define and understand it.So, how do we cut through the noise and get to the real purpose of our workshops?Britt Andreatta has been asking this question for a long time and has developed a brilliant participant-focused strategy to identify the real topic of workshops that remains true to the client's needs.Listen in to learn:What Britt believes are key differences between virtual and physical workshopsBritt's strategy for helping clients define the real purpose of their workshopHow designing psychological safety for the group and for the leader differHow Britt ensures the right people are in the roomWhy asking diagnostic questions at every stage of your workshops will improve themBritt is also offering Workshops Work listeners a free chapter of her book, Wired to Grow. The role of intolerance of uncertainty in the acquisition and extinction of reward

Abstract: Individuals, who score high in self-reported intolerance of uncertainty (IU), tend to find uncertainty anxiety-provoking. IU has been reliably associated with disrupted threat extinction. However, it remains unclear whether IU would be related to disrupted extinction to other arousing stimuli that are not threatening (i.e. rewarding). We addressed this question by conducting a reward associative learning task with acquisition and extinction training phases (n = 58). Throughout the associative learning task, we recorded valence ratings (i.e. liking), skin conductance response (SCR) (i.e. sweating), and corrugator supercilii activity (i.e. brow muscle indicative or negative and positive affect) to learned reward and neutral cues. During acquisition training with partial reward reinforcement, higher IU was associated with greater corrugator supercilii activity to neutral compared to reward cues. IU was not related to valence ratings or SCRs during the acquisition or extinction training phases. These preliminary results suggest that IU-related deficits during extinction may be limited to situations with threat. The findings further our conceptual understanding of IUs role in the associative learning and extinction of reward, and in relation to the processing of threat and reward more generally. Richard Branson   Innovation and creativity are words that we are accustomed to hearing used interchangeably especially as it relates to entrepreneurship. But, how many of us know that they are actually quite different? This episode of The Entrepreneurial You Podcast explores all this from a neuro-science perspective. The conversation with Dr. Britt Andreatta was quite enlightening.   Here is a snippet of what Britt shared:   “From a neuroscience perspective, neuroscientists have been able to study what happens in the brain when we have that aha moment. They can set people up for the ‘aha moment' and have them on an MRI machine. We know that when we're having that burst in our mind of like, Oh, I have this new idea, we can see in the brain about a third of a second before that aha moment, there's a burst of gamma waves above our right ear.    There's a certain part of the brain that's called the anterior temporal gyrus. What we see is that there's this gamma wave burst and also a rush of blood into that part of the brain. Then even a full second before that, scientists have found that there's a burst of alpha waves in the right typical cortex, which is where we see; it's part of our vision cortex. It suppresses vision for just a millisecond. Scientists call it the brain blink.”   Listen to the episode and let us know what is your biggest takeaway.   Connect with Dr Britt Andreatta:   Website (FREE BOOK CHAPTER: Wired to Grow)) LinkedIn Instagram   FREE 30-DAY TRIAL - LINKEDIN LEARNING    Visit our Sponsor: Jamaica Stock Exchange Email: Heneka Watkis-Porter  Support The Entrepreneurial You here fo US$5.00 monthly: https://glow.fm/tey.   COMING SOON!   Dr Hardy's new book "Personality Isn't Permanent" Get it at  https://benjaminhardy.com/personality/#preorder
