Echt waar. Wij hebben dat zelf ook zo ervaren.Veel luisterplezier.www.mariekeringrose.nlVolg mij op Instagram

Have you ever wondered if the eco-labels on your favorite products truly reflect their environmental impact? In this episode, I sit down with Christophe Girardier, CEO of Glimpact, to explore how technology is transforming our understanding of sustainability. Christophe, a serial entrepreneur, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, shedding light on the critical role of technology in achieving genuine sustainability. We begin by critiquing the current state of eco-labeling, questioning whether smarter algorithms and data analytics can pave the way for more accurate, dynamic, and helpful sustainability ratings for consumers. Christophe shares insights on how Glimpact's technology goes beyond the narrow focus on carbon emissions, emphasizing the complexity of true sustainability. It's not just about carbon; it's about biodiversity, water, and soil health. One of the key topics we delve into is the challenge of greenwashing and the importance of authentic sustainability efforts. Christophe introduces Glimpact's global footprint measurement approach, leveraging the EU's OEF method to capture a comprehensive view of environmental impact. This rigorous and holistic assessment spans 16 impact categories, including water depletion, biodiversity loss, and more. Christophe also highlights the pivotal role of technology in environmental sustainability. We discuss how AI can help consumer brands become more sustainable, using examples like Lacoste to illustrate the importance of a systemic view. Technology not only prepares companies for future reporting demands but also enables them to measure and mitigate a wide array of environmental impacts. We explore the adoption of PEF/OEF methods for a systemic approach, ensuring a rigorous assessment of environmental footprints. Christophe explains each of the 16 impact categories, from climate change to resource use, and how they contribute to a comprehensive understanding of sustainability. Finally, we propose a revolution in corporate environmental strategy, urging companies to include all dimensions of the environmental crisis in their decision-making processes. It's about moving beyond carbon balances to consider the full spectrum of environmental impacts. Join us as we uncover the complexities of sustainability, the dangers of greenwashing, and the revolutionary potential of technology in driving authentic environmental responsibility. How can brands integrate these insights into their business models? Listen in, and don't forget to share your thoughts on how we can all contribute to a more sustainable future.

Phillip served during OEF & OIF and for his efforts he received a Bronze Star. However, veteran Phillip Simon also has sustained injuries from those efforts that have left him permanently disabled and suffering with PTSD, 100%. PHILLIP DOES NOT HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD.     There was a "Kick Out" order issued on 7-29-2021 on his ex-wife and her sister who already had Temporary DVRO's against them. However, on 8-3-2021 The San Diego County Superior Court FAMILY LAW DIVISION allowed the two women to move back into Phillip's home just five days after kicking them out despite his attorney's objections. This shows DIRECT PROOF that the SDCSC acted with BIAS and PREJUDICE against THIS VETERAN from then on EVER SINCE.      The San Diego County Superior Court (SDCSC) continues to be prejudice and bias against all of Phillip's attempts to find a redress to end his unnecessarily high divorce conflict case. SDCSC made the VETERAN'S house the NUMBER ONE issue needing to be addressed in the divorce dissolution. For almost THREE YEARS, the SDCSC have fought against Phillip keeping his case, house and/or property FALSELY within their jurisdiction when it has clearly been proven by federal law, statue and official court transcripts that it is not.     Phillip Simon has filed an action in the United States District Court, Southern District of California (USDC, SDC), against the Superior Court: Simon v. Superior Court of California, County of San Diego, Case No. 23-CV-00889 for Fraud Upon the Court.     Evidence Phillip is seeking within the family law case has been denied to him per his public records request because of the current federal lawsuit pending, officially making the SDCSC an adversary against Phillip. The SDCSC (trial judges) refuses to acknowledge any awareness of the pending federal case and continues to exact revenge and punishment against Phillip while the federal case is still pending. An immediate injunction is needed because the SDCSC (Family Law Division) has ruled against a long standing federally protected statute and now rules Phillip's DISABILITIES are NOW considered COMMUNITY PROPERTY. The SDCSC is using this time to continue to violate Phillip's CIVIL RIGHTS in hopes to take his house away (leaving the veteran BANKRUPT AND HOMELESS) before the USDC, SDC responds to the pending FRAUD UPON the COURT CASE.To Reach Phillip Simon: phillipsimon56@gmail.comThis episode of Slam the Gavel is sponsored by CPSprotect Consulting Services. Our conversation with Dr. Pamela Andreatta, Director of Surgical Skills Assessment at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, reveals the importance of courses like ASSET+ and the Combat Orthopedic Trauma Surgical Course in training and assessing readiness. We dive deep into the factors influencing the performance of military surgeons and assess the pre-training scores of Military General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons. Listen in as Dr. Andreatta breaks down how experience and the volume of operative practice impact success in managing these complex injuries. We also discuss the challenges military teams face when integrating into operational teams, and how pre-deployment and post-deployment rehearsals ensure the maintenance of critical capabilities. Join us in this thought-provoking episode as we emphasize the importance of good research in Military Medicine and explore the complexities of maintaining preparedness and readiness in the field. EPISODE CHAPTERS (0:00:01) - Preparing Surgeons for Battlefield Vascular Injuries (0:12:12) - Assessing Surgical Training and Performance (0:24:25) - Maintaining Critical Medical Team Capabilities   EPISODE CHAPTER SUMMARIES (0:00:01) - Preparing Surgeons for Battlefield Vascular Injuries (12 Minutes) We explore the preparedness of Military General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons to confidently deal with upper extremity vascular injuries in battlefield settings. To assess readiness and train critical expeditionary procedural skills, we discuss the importance of courses like ASSET+ and the Combat Orthopedic Trauma Surgical Course. Dr. Andreatta discusses her Military Medicine paper, “Upper Extremity Vascular Exposures for Trauma: Comparative Performance Outcomes for General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons”. We look back at the recent high op tempo time in OIF and OEF and consider the likelihood of encountering extremity vascular injuries in Role II MTFs and below. We discuss the importance of preparedness to recognize and control peripheral vascular bleeds to save lives and limbs. (0:12:12) - Assessing Surgical Training and Performance (12 Minutes) We investigate the pre-training scores of Military General Surgeons and Orthopedic Surgeons, exploring the factors that could influence the performance of these medical professionals. The sample was largely homogeneous and consisted of junior personnel with limited deployment experience, though it was found that the more experienced surgeons with a higher volume of operative practice tended to perform better. We also discuss the determination of the benchmark score, and how it is rooted in measurement science and clinical medicine. Lastly, we learn that although the Orthopedic Surgeons did not reach the benchmark at baseline, the quality of the surgeons and the fact that they are able to recognize performance gaps allows them to work on improving their skills. (0:24:25) - Maintaining Critical Medical Team Capabilities (6 Minutes) We discuss the challenges military teams face when integrating into operational teams and the necessity of individual professional role capabilities. We also discuss the need for pre-deployment and post-deployment rehearsals, and the importance of providing resources for military surgeons to maintain their abilities. Finally, we explore the potential of pre-planning through videos and reading to reduce the "Walker dip" between deployments.   EPISODE KEYWORDS  Military Medicine, Battlefield Vascular Injuries, Surgical Training, Performance, Medical Team Capabilities, Pre-Deployment Rehearsals, Post-Deployment Rehearsals, Dr. Pamela Andreatta, Asset Plus, Combat Orthopedic Trauma Surgical Course, Operative Practice, Junior Personnel, Deployment Experience, Benchmark Score, Measurement Science, Clinical Medicine, Walker Dip, Journal of Military Medicine, WarDocs   #Military #Medical #Podcast #WarDocs #Orthopedics #Surgeon #GeneralSurgeon #Vascular #Injuries #MilitaryMedicine #Readiness #Training #Knowledge #Skills #Abilities #KSAs   Honoring the Legacy and Preserving the History of Military Medicine The WarDocs Mission is to improve military and civilian healthcare and foster patriotism by honoring the legacy, preserving the oral history, and showcasing military medicine career opportunities, experiences, and achievements. A new ATF rule reclassifies firearms equipped with pistol braces as short-barreled rifles, implying that brace owners are looking at felony criminal charges if they are not registered with the ATF. It also imposes increased taxation on firearms and accessories equipped with these braces. Parker McCumber, an OEF veteran, joins me to explain how this hits disabled veterans the hardest.  https://youtu.be/ukr0BbJ8wkY The pistol brace is a device that allows a firearm to be strapped onto a user's arm and was initially created for disabled veterans to fire recreationally and in competition with only one arm. The ATF and the Department of Justice claimed that pistol braces are being found and commonly used in more shootings and gang activities. However, Parker explained that pistol braces do not make firearms more lethal and that this new rule is suppressing the ability of disabled American veterans to exercise their Second Amendment rights.  The ATF has projected 40 million pistol brace accessories on legally purchased firearms, which could mean tens of millions of gun owners becoming felons over this new rule. However, there is some optimism that the rule may be overturned, as the Fifth Circuit Appeals Court recently ruled that the bump stock ban was an unconstitutional usurpation of authority from Congress by the ATF. Parker McCumber is an OEF Veteran, and entrepreneur who currently serves as a Field Artillery Officer in the Utah National Guard. He has over 11 years of experience in combat arms roles within the Army and Army National Guard. The box was full of colorful music from a publisher called Stimuli, Inc., by a composer named Fr. Clarence Jos. Rivers. Ric writes “I am a 22-year Army Veteran. It was the greatest joy in my life being a soldier next to being a father of two. At that time, my MOS was 11B (Infantry) and my specialty was Infantry Scout. I attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Ft Benning, GA, where I was taught the skills necessary to be an effective scout. I did deploy to Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Bosnia, Kosovo, OEF, and OIF. In my heart, I know I served with integrity and honor. Today we hear the Combat Story of Derek Nadalini, who spent decades in the Army with both Ranger Battalion and 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta, better known as The Unit. This is one of the most interesting interviews we've ever done. Derek deployed countless times beginning in Afghanistan in 2002 and conducted HVT operations, hostage rescue (including the rescue of Roy Hallums), ran low visibility and sniper operations, and eventually volunteered to execute singleton missions. After leaving the service, Derek went through a painful and long process to manage traumatic brain injury (TBI). Despite those challenges, he would go on to help sell the company Spatial Networks (earning what he aptly refers to as his “Business Ranger tab”), became a certified life and wellness coach providing pro bono support to Veterans, and is now the Director of Outreach and Development at MusiCorps, which is a music rehabilitation program that helps wounded warriors play music and recover their lives. Derek is easily one of the most accomplished people we've had on the podcast and I hope you enjoy this funny but also very personal experience and highs and lows of the elite as much as I did. Today we hear a Combat Story that I've been looking forward to for years. As many listeners know, I closely followed the war in Afghanistan immediately following 9/11 and revered the Green Berets who rode into combat on horseback to take America's fight to the enemy. [Call to Action: Please refer your friends to www.trustsafetyinstitute.com if they're looking for high paying jobs where they can still help people and fight bad actors.]Today we hear from one of the very few men who was there, one of the Horse Soldiers as they've been called: Bob Pennington.Bob spent more than 30 years in the service, much of that with Special Forces, including kinetic operations in the Gulf War to one of the first teams on the ground in Afghanistan and more. He's a Distinguished Member of the Special Forces Regiment and in the Georgia Military Veterans' Hall of Fame.He and his Horse Soldier teammate Mark Nutsch have just released a book about their experiences in the days after 9/11 titled “Swords of Lightning: Green Beret Horse Soldiers and America's Response to 9/11.” And if his life can't get any better, he and Mark are also principals in the company that produces Horse Soldier Bourbon.I hope you enjoy this inside look into what happened from 9/10 (the day before the world changed) through the some of the first operations on the ground in Afghanistan (and enjoy some of Bob's celebrity moments given his representation as a key role in the movie 12 Strong) as much as I did.#military #veteran #greenberet #horsesoldierFind Bob Online: -Instagram - Horse Soldier Bourbon @horsesoldierbourbon https://www.instagram.com/horsesoldierbourbon/-Bob's Favorite Charities: Tunnels to Towers https://t2t.org/ and Land of the Free Foundation https://www.landofthefreefoundation.org/Find Ryan Online:-To support Combat Story and get exclusive insights, head to Patreon www.patreon.com/combatstory-Ryan's Linktree https://linktr.ee/combatstory-Merch https://www.bonfire.com/store/combatstory/-Instagram @combatstory https://www.instagram.com/combatstory-Facebook @combatstoryofficial https://fb.me/combatstoryofficial-Send us messages at https://m.me/combatstoryofficial-Email ryan@combatstory.com-Learn more about Ryan www.combatstory.com/aboutus-Intro Song: Sport Rock from Audio JungleShow Notes:0:00 - Intro 0:42 - Guest Introduction (Bob Pennington) 2:07 – Thank you for supporting The Trust & Safety Institute 2:45 - Interview begins 4:02 - Meeting Chris Hemsworth and Michael Shannon for the 12 Strong movie 7:40 - Growing up with a father in the military and early interest in Green Berets13:32 - Starting his career in Ranger Battalion after college24:37 - Being a Warrant Officer in SF community 34:51 - Combat Story - Experience in the Gulf War 50:10 - Where he was when 9/11 happened 59:48 - Mindset at the time of 9/11 and being one of the teams picked for the mission in Afghanistan 1:12:45 - Combat Story - First operations on the ground in Afghanistan 1:38:31 - Swords of Lightning book backstory and information 1:43:42 - Horse Soldier Bourbon 1:49:42 - What did you carry into combat? 1:52:05 - Would you do it again? 1:54:11 - Help connect those who served with meaningful and great paying jobs after service1:56:49 - Listener comments and shout outs
