The universal acclaim for this collection of outtakes from the esteemed New York music icon, is a perfect example of the emperors new clothes. A series of sketches, often so slight, you wonder if the artist would be furious they were even released. Definitely not worth having.

JFKat wants to make a comic strip, so naturally he goes to the home of comic artist Porter Mason. Porter is a wonderful artist, improviser, and parent, but will he be able to handle JFKat's bunny-branded allergies? Lessons include: creativity comes in many forms; group projects take a lot of teamwork and listening (and sometimes a lot of messes). Check out Porter Mason at rooniecomics.com for kid-friendly comic strips and great coloring pages! Welcome to the We Nurture Stories for Children podcast. We utilize the power of storytelling to encourage language development, inspire moral growth, and enliven the imagination. We hope you enjoy the timeless activity of getting lost in a good tale. There was once a little bunny rabbit named Billy who lived in a burrow with his mommy, daddy and brothers and sisters. The burrow was very snug for the bunny family and as the baby brothers and sisters began to grow bigger, it became rather squashy. Billy was the youngest and the smallest of the family and he found it most squashy of all. One day Billy had an idea that would keep him from being squashed all the time.We recommend this story for ages 3 - 7About the Author - Jill Tina Taplin Jill Taplin was born and brought up in the UK, graduated from university with a degree in philosophy and was busy until her early 30s as a gardener, house builder and mother. Then she joined a group of parents founding a Steiner Waldorf school in the north east of Scotland, near a spiritual community. Soon she found herself working in the kindergarten and discovered that was where she really wanted to be. She worked as a kindergarten teacher in Scotland and Devon until 2008 when family reasons brought her to a new part of the UK with no Waldorf school nearby. Since then she has expanded her interest in working with adults - students, teachers and parents – through working as a kindergarten mentor, workshop leader, adult education tutor and writer. She has completed an MA in Education (Steiner Philosophy) and now has commitments to support Steiner Waldorf early childhood training mainly in several countries around the world. In addition to magazine and newsletter articles, she is co-author of Understanding the Steiner Waldorf Approach, published by David Fulton. To discover more please visit wenurturecollective.com/stories-for-children

Wait a minute. Gordon of all people is giving advice about what now? Relax. I truly would never dream of it. Think of it more like Advice To A Young Wife From An Old Mistress. It's a dramatic frame that allows us to explore ways of being with this moment that -oh, just a thought- don't contribute to a field of war that brings everyone closer to nuclear annihilation while somehow assuming doing so gives you the moral high ground. So it's not actually (just?) for professional astrologers and other fortune tellers. It's for any of you looking around at the entire planet losing its mind and working out what role -in your profession, in your family, in your friendship group, in your communities- you are being called to step into. It's my offering to you, delivered in the form of a presentation given to a strictly hypothetical group of professional astrologers. Yeah, it's long. I mention at the beginning that the personal reason for sharing this is a healing one, around finding transformative ways of being with anger and defence. It may be challenging to watch or listen to for some of you. Healthy anger is a useful warning that situations or people are approaching important boundaries (physical or otherwise). And it is not that it means these boundaries must never be crossed or must always be defended. Anger simply calls you to an urgent awareness that boundary business is afoot. For instance, being wrong about something or some position you have taken in which you have invested a lot of emotional energy. When someone points this out or when you begin to realise it yourself, the anger signal is there. But this is probably one instance where you allow that signal to draw your attention to the boundary and, rather than defending it, allow that pent up energy to dissipate across it. I sincerely hope you come to your own understanding of the sentiment in which this presentation is offered, why it is offered at this time, as well as my intention that you find whatever medicine is meant for you in it. Note: This is a video presentation with slides and such. It is only available on Rumble. Though it will still work fine as an audio offering if that is what you prefer. Show Notes War and the Hyperreal. Rhyd Wildermuth. Tears for Ukraine, Sanctions for Russia, Yawns for Yemen, Arms for Saudis: The West's Grotesque Double Standard. The Overton Window Is Being Shoved Toward Warmongering Extremism. Caitlin Johnstone. Defending Freedom And Democracy Sure Requires An Awful Lot of Censorship. Caitlin Johnstone. The Field of Peace. Charles Eisenstein. Bunny Rabbits and the Big Bad Wolf: Ukraine and Russia through the lens of Western reporting. Gilbert Doctorow. The Tom Woods Show episode I truly hope you watch. After the ApocalypseA pandemic survival storySeason one, Episode Thirteen, “The Dig”The old man kept a slow but steady pace down the gravel road. It was getting on in the day and he needed to start thinking about shelter for the night. Bill, the dog trotted about 10 yards ahead as the vanguard. A small dust cloud rose behind them marking their progress. The old man thought about that. ...Hello my survivor friends, How is the apocalypse treating you? Happy Easter! I figure rabbits will probably survive the apocalypse, right? Cockroaches and rabbits. There's a zombie online multiplayer game I play called Dead Frontier, yes, I'm all in on the apocalypse, and for the easter event you get to kill zombie bunnies. Reminds me of Monty Python – “It's just a Bunny Rabbit!” – You kids who don't know what I'm talking about go stream Monty Python and the Holy Grail and you can thank me later. Did you like today's cliff-hanger? Maybe it was more of a pit-hanger. Good news we at about 3500 downloads. We have new listeners in Minsk Belarus, Dhaka Bangladesh and Portoviejo Ecuador. All places I've yet to visit. I have been at Mahabalipuram on the Bay of Bengal, but that's another story. Send me an email if you are listening form one of these far-flung places. Love to get your feedback. cyktrussell@gmail.com I need a favor from all you great people, whether Belarusian, Bangladeshi or Ecuadorian. Go into whatever podcast app you're using and leave a review. Just a quick note. That's what drives the algorithms. And we all love algorithms. If you're feeling super motivated tell a few friends. If we, you and I and Dmytri from Belarus can grow this tribe I can accelerate to weekly episodes and I'd really like to do that. If you are just beside yourself with enthusiasm you can throw some Belarusian rubles, some Bangladeshi taka or some Ecuadorian dollars – because, yeah, Ecuador switched their currency to the US dollar – and you can do that at my Patreon page patreon.com/aftertheapocalypse. I listened to a couple interesting SciFi stories recently. I like these short SciFi stories because they have that one really interesting idea that makes you say ‘Huh'. One is a story called Things by Peter Clark - Have you ever seen a movie called The Thing? It was released in 1982 starring Kurt Russell (no relation) and directed by John Carpenter, based on a book by John Campbell from 1938. Now you might be thinking, ‘gee all of those names sound familiar' and you'd be right. John Carpenter the prolific director who brought you the Halloween moves, as well as some other B-movie SciFi classics like Escape from New York, also with Kurt Russell in 1981, just a year before The Thing, and one of my personal favorites, They Live with professional wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper. And of course John Campbell, who wrote the original story, was one of those giants of the golden age of Science Fiction, both as a writer and the editor of Analog.I know, I know, I keep doing this to you, but trust me all of these factors come together to make The Thing a great sort of SciFi-Grindhouse mashup with lots of practical horror effects. The links to all of this stuff is in the notes and don't get me started on Adrienne Barbeau! Any of these movies would be a good streaming choice for SciFi lovers on a Friday night in the apocalypse. The critics hated Carpenter's version of The Thing at the time. No one knew what to do with a horror – SciFi mashup, but I liked it. There was an original version in 1951 called The Thing from Another World, which I have seen and was pretty good for it's time. Anyhoo – to make a long, complicated, meandering story short - the Peter Clark story I listened to on a bike ride reimagines that movie from the alien's point of view. If you have seen the movie this story, especially as read by Kat from Clarkesworld, is just an awesome fun-house mirror read of the same story from a different angle I really enjoyed it. That's it my survivor friends, this is Chris your lead survivor wishing you a happy Easter and as always…Keep on Surviving! PRINCIPLE OF THE DAY If you're afraid of yourself, you'll be afraid of other people. QUESTION OF THE DAY Where across the CORE 4 (Body, Being, Balance, and Business) do you find yourself running away like a bunny rabbit from the unknown and from people & situations that make you feel uncomfortable and trigger fear inside of you? TASK OF THE DAY Take out your War Map and Weapon, aka your journal and pen, and write that area down. What's one simple step you could take to become more courageous in dealing with yourself when it comes to dealing with new people? QUOTE OF THE DAY “With everything going on in the world, it's very easy to dig ourselves down into a small little box, do nothing and run away anytime someone or something new comes into our life.”--Garrett J White __________________________________________ TAKE ACTION Love the FIRE, Principle, Insights & Revelations Shared With You In Today's Episode? Some metal is not like the others. Craig and Jason talk about one of their favorite genres of music. Metal has more sub-genres than Dragon Ball cartoons. Wikipedia defines metal as "Heavy metal is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom. With roots in blues rock, psychedelic rock, and acid rock, the bands that created heavy metal developed a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness. The genre's lyrics and performance styles are sometimes associated with aggression and machismo." Join the Bunny Rabbit's Hole and look at the Akashic Records CLICK Here for more info: http://thebunnyrabbitshole.com The Akashic Records, or "The Book of Life," can be equated to the universe's super-computer system. In theosophy and anthroposophy, the Akashic records are a compendium of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present, or future. They are believed by theosophists to be encoded in a non-physical plane of existence known as the etheric plane. There are anecdotal accounts but there is no scientific evidence for the existence of the Akashic records. Craig and Jason go deep into what the Akashic Records means to you and all. People throughout history have gained access to this legendary directory of everything. We discuss how you can gain access to the Akashic Records. Remember looking at your spouse in shock while your kids are watching cartoons? Companies have had a long history of placing adult humor and secret images into our children's entertainment. Some of this is subtle pop culture references that only adults will understand. However, some of this is like the penis that Disney animators placed in the castle of the “Little Mermaid” Movie poster. We will explore all of the ones that we could find and talk about in an hour and a half. We are talking about a few of the literally thousands of examples that are in cartoons since the animator was first forces to work extra hours for no more pay. This usually results in flash images of genitalia. However, sometimes animation studios have had serious lapses in judgement and gone on to do stupid shit like characters in Nazi uniforms or straight up racist creations that they go through great lengths to cover up. Listen and find out more about these topics. As always please subscribe and share this with all of your friends. If I'm going to be completely honest, I had no idea what to expect from this conversation. I had (stupidly) labeled John as a certain kind of guy. Someone very different from me. But, I was totally blown away by our conversation. First of all, labeling people is stupid. Second, I found that we had so much in common it was almost freaky. John is a brilliant guy and we both share a common inability to half-ass something. It's all or nothing. And I love that about him. John is certainly everywhere these days, but I think I can honestly say you haven't heard a conversation like this. Here are some of my favorite bits from the show: On Success and Persistence “Success and happiness is the gradual realization of a worthy ideal. And the keys there are gradual and worthy. So it's not getting to whatever you think that journey end point is. It is the journey itself. But it's not just any ideal like money or fame or fortune, it's of a worthy ideal. So when we can find how to combine those two, things really get better.” “Show me any entrepreneur at a high level who wasn't irresponsible, not only at some point in their journey, but multiple times in their journey. You can't find one. Sometimes you've got to the on the job training.” “My first 50 episodes of Entrepreneur on Fire are horrible. I was really really bad. I had zero experience and it showed in every way, shape and form. But if I had waited until I was good, I never ever would have started because the only way to actually get good at something is to do badly a number of times.” “Give yourself permission to wake up everyday and say, ‘Today, I'm going to do something good.'” “I could have packed it up and walked away many times and right now Entrepreneur on Fire would be a footnote, but instead I persevered. It's going to take persistence and perseverance to get to the point of turning it into a viable business.” On Quitting and Getting Better “So many people quite days or weeks before success.” “If you want to be, do.” “If there's something you really do want to do, you have to do it 1000 times.” “The way I came a better podcaster was to podcast. Just do it over and over and hone your craft.” “One inch wide and one mile deep is so important if you want to be successful.” “I was a really terrible podcaster, but I was the best seven-day-a-week podcaster, because I was the only one.” As always, I had a great time talking to John. Enjoy the show! Show Notes Min 28: The advantage of being all in. Min 35:19: If you wait until you're ready, you've waited too long. Min 45:13: Why perseverance is key to success.
