What do companies stand to lose if they don't give their workforce the choice on whether or not they stay remote? In This Episode, You Will Learn:What the logistics of virtual reality training for employees really look like. Why HPE is taking a role-based approach to bringing employees back into the office post-pandemic.How the advancement of women within HPE is so important to Domenech personally, as well as to the company culture as a whole. There's also some light exhuming of corpses. Meanwhile, Team Army and Team Spree face off over the future of little Tiffany and also Alder's life. While Nicte is dicking around trying to off Alder, Willa and Scylla are busy focusing on the real enemy. They take down the location where Tiffany and the other kids were being held, but it's too late: not only have the kids been moved, but the Camarilla have already moved onto their next target: Raelle. *Dun dun dun!*We finally get to see a bit more of life in the Cession, which is comprised mostly of good natured salt of the earth people, cute lesbian chic fashion, and other small town touches. The "Captain Status" series innovator finally got a chance to pull up to Detailz to have a sit down with Charlie MaSheen & Bellez in one of the most refreshing episodes of the year! In the past decade Dun Dealy has had the heart of the streets in Boston music's scene with his catchy and witty street banter. His ability to paint a very raw picture with words has helped him keep his listeners engaged and almost made creating music videos very easy – with some of the best to do it out here. [EP 73] Love cupcakes? Love English? Want some fun listening? Let's do this! [Transcript] Hi everybody, this is Louis and you're listening to another episode of Unexpected English, your favorite English podcast! Now, you know I say that just because I like to say it, not because I think it's true. But what IS true: CUPCAKES ARE YUMMY!! ...is that this is episode 73. And in this episode, like every episode of Unexpected English, you get the practice your listening with something... a little weird ...well, I won't say weird... a little different, and fun, in under five minutes. So now that I was able to start doing interviews again, this one *is* an interview, so let's give a listen... Okay, so I was just walking here in PB, Pacific Beach, that is Pacific Beach, San Diego, and I noticed a place called Pure Cupcakes. And that sounded so good to me, so I thought I would go in and see what I could find out. So, I asked to speak with somebody and here she is! Hi, my name is Christina, I'm the supervisor for the weekends here at Pure Cupcakes, Pure Cupcakes. So, okay so what are some of the most popular... do we say flavors? Flavors, what are some of the top flavors, where everybody says, “Oh, I love this one!” I would say we have a salted caramel, that's a chocolate with caramel frosting, and a caramel drizle on top. We have a Rollo cupcake, that's going to be chocolate with caramel frosting filled with caramel and dipped in chocolate. Ohhh, can you just stop right now because the more you're talking about those cupcakes, the more I want to have a cupcake. And I hope that's not happening to you, because if you're listening and there's no place to buy a cupcake, then you're just like, oh! what can I do? Hmm. I see here in the window that you won some awards for the best cupcakes! We did, yes we won Cupcake Wars in 2013. Cupcake Wars? Yes! Its that where everybody comes out and throws cupcakes at each other? I wish! I wish! That would have been super fun! It was a TV show where different bakeries competed and the the winner had their cupcake showcased at a large event. Ours happened to win at the San Diego Zoo event. So, there was a cupcake war at the San Diego Zoo (yes!) that did not involve throwing cupcakes. No, believe it or not! It's just, just showing them and eating them. Yes. And how many people participated in this cupcake war? I believe it was four. Okay, oh it was kind of a face off, kind of a face off. Yeah, four people. I should do the dramatic music now, you know, boom, boom. [Dramatic: Cupcake makers, everything comes down to this....dramatic music.. You are the winner of Cupcake wars. Congratulations. Thank you! Thank you guys!!!] Dun dun duh! OK, so, so they had Cupcake Wars, and you won the Cupcake Wars in.... 2013 Do people buy cupcakes one by one? We can, we can do them one by one, or we can do weddings, we can do parties so as few or as many as you'd like, you can come on in and check it out. What's the biggest order, you've ever got for a single bunch of cupcakes? Probably upwards of a couple of thousand. You can make a couple thousand cupcakes?? Right just...Yes sir, anything! Right, well there you go! So now you know if you're looking for cupcakes when you're in Pacific Beach, San Diego, stop by at Pure Cupcakes, and you'll be happy. Thank you enjoy, guys! Okay thanks for your time. Yeah, of course, do you want a cupcake? [OUTRO] P.S. Like the podcast? Spread the word ~ word of mouth really helps! Follow on Spotify and Instagram, and tell your friends! And of course, thanks for listening and for your support!

It can even make you kinda nostalgic about how easy it was to make friends as a kid.   One second you spot someone on the swing set, and the next you're splitting a juice box and playing hide and go seek. So why does trying to figure out how to make friends as an adult feel so awkward sometimes? Whether you soak up the energy of a room, or feel the need to recoil for some down time after a big social event, almost everyone struggles with the awkward reality that is…professional networking (dun, dun, DUN). Even if you're a socially anxious extrovert, gregarious introvert, or somewhere in between as an ambivert, you will certainly learn something from this free chapter of ‘The Confident Introvert‘ on how to actual enjoy making friends as an adult.   Here's how to make building friendships as an adult feel as easy and fun as it was your school days: 1. Find and Own Your Voice If you're not yet convinced of your own confidence, it can show up in the sound of your voice. Do you ever initially speak in a whisper without meaning to? Does your voice trail off before your sentence is finished? Do you find yourself making statements that sound more like questions? This is called rising intonation, or uptalk, and it can make you sound less credible than you actually are. Practice speaking from your diaphragm with breath exercises, and build up your strength by enunciating consonant sounds such as “Puh-Tik-Uh” before an event in the privacy of your own home. Also, be sure to stay hydrated so your vocal cords are able to carry a full-bodied, engaging sound. 2. The Sweetest Sound: Repeat Their Name   Always lead by embellishing your “hello,” with the person's name. Hearing “Hello, Tom,” feels better (assuming their name is Tom!) than a blanket, one-size-fits-all greeting. A study from the US National Library of Medicine found that participants experienced more brain activity and engagement when they heard their name repeated in conversation. 3. Take Pause: Hold on the Hug Not everyone you meet will be a hugger. For example, in France and Japan, hugging isn't a standard greeting and rarely done in public. In France, a kiss on each cheek is acceptable, whereas in Japan, a handshake will do. America can be hug-friendly but is also a melting pot of cultures. So it is safe to greet for the first time with a “hello” and a handshake, and after your conversation, you can ask, “Are you a hugger?” before initiating the gesture. 4. Should You Relate or Dominate? When first meeting someone it's easy to dive into work and business talk, focusing on what gender sociologist Deborah Tannen calls “report” when what would serve us better is first establishing “rapport.” Report is necessary for business goals and alignment, while rapport—developing familiarity—is necessary for relationship building. To begin a conversation, you can ask how someone's week has gone, how their holiday was, or if they have anything exciting coming up. 6. Are You Toasting with Water or Vodka? Some industries and cultures find it acceptable to bond and build rapport over alcohol while others don't. It's really up to you to gauge your comfort level and not exceed a drink or two, or whatever amount will leave you relaxed but not intoxicated in a professional setting when making a first impression. Also keep in mind that some people don't drink alcohol at all for personal reasons. If this is the case, a coffee or tea shop will be a more comfortable choice since your meeting mate may feel less comfortable if there aren't mocktails readily available at the bar. I recommend getting comfortable networking without the social lubricant of alcohol in order for true confidence to be honed and shine through. If you want to learn more about how business credit works, some of the pitfalls to avoid, and steps you can take to help establish good business credit, this is the episode for you. Craig and I try to shed some light on this confusing and often misunderstood subject. What To Expect From Episode 78 We bring on a couple of business bankers, Jaron and Rob, as guests to explain some of the specifics of business credit. Here are some of the questions we answer: What do lenders look at when making a loan decision?Brand new companiesOwner's personal credit Owner's experience in the industry How beneficial is a business plan Existing companiesYears in business Financial statements (How important is it that they are clean and organized) What has the biggest effect on the interest rate you get? Do businesses have credit scores? Do you need to establish business credit like you do personal credit? How do you establish business credit? What is a personal guarantee and can you get a business loan without one? What is a Dun and Bradstreet Number and is it important? What are the most common types of credit that are helpful to trucking companies?Equipment loans Fuel credit Trade credit Lines of credit Impact Tip Don’t make late payments, EVER! Not even after the due date, but before the grace period. Just like with personal credit, your payment history has a big impact on whether or not a lender will lend you money. Making your payments by the due date every time builds trust with lenders. It helps them see you take making your payments seriously.

Transcript below. Panel discussion video: TRANSCRIPT Panel Discussion, Q&A: Hoppe, Dürr, Kinsella, van Dun, Daniels (PFS 2015) by Hans-Hermann Hoppe, David Dürr, Stephan Kinsella, Frank van Dun, Anthony Daniels Property and Freedom Society, 10th Annual Meeting Bodrum, Turkey (Sep. 13, 2015) 00:00:23 HANS-HERMANN HOPPE: Somebody approached me with a wish – it was a question, if email addresses would like to be shared.  I did not want to do anything without the people’s permission, so there will be a list at the front desk where you can maybe – the name list of all the participants where you can either write your email address in there or not if you prefer not to make your email address known to others.  So whoever is interested, please take advantage of the opportunity, and David Durr wanted to make a brief announcement too.  Give the microphone. 00:01:17 DAVID DÜRR: Maybe first concerning also the email address, I was asked by some of you whether I could send you these slides of this morning so you could look at it closer with all the writings.  So my email address to just give it to you is D-U-E, double R at swisslegal in one word, swisslegal.  This is the name of our law group, dot C-H.  And then may I add this?  Some people ask me whether what I gave in the speech is also somewhere written in an article.  So there are not long and thick books of me yet on this matter.  I do have two books here.  They are not as sophisticated and scientific as the one of Hans.  And namely they are not so English.  They are German. 00:02:27 One is (indiscernible_00:02:29) which means state opera.  Switzerland, you know, the state as a big opera.  It’s the state house actually as opera house, and the subtitle is Few Stars, Many Startists.  So this is one – I just have one copy of each if you want to look at this, those who read English, or if you want to buy it or order it, so it’s here.  The second one is I have a regular column in a newspaper in Switzerland, and these are sort of anarchic – anarchist columns, and the collection of this is in another book.  They are always on Fridays in that newspaper, so it’s “Das Wort zum Freitag,” the world to the Friday, not to the Sunday as usual, to the Friday, so this is the second book.  Thank you. 00:03:31 Q: Which newspaper is it?  Which newspaper? 00:03:33 DAVID DÜRR: It’s called Basler Zeitung.  It’s a – people say it’s a right-wing newspaper.  They are very open in that they have, through all parties, columnists, but I like the newspaper as such, but I’m very independent.  I had one column once when I compared IS or ISIS with US.  I said, well, actually it’s about the same thing.  US is just bigger, and that gave huge protests from the newspaper itself.  And then this gave me an opportunity just to put one on the top because right afterwards these CIA reports came up about torture practices.  That was a wonderful example to insist on it anymore. 00:04:41 00:04:49 Q: Okay.  My question is for Stephan Kinsella.  It’s a question, not an argument.  What is the case for private photos and pictures shared over the internet on Facebook and someone else is using it?  What is the argumental basis on that from the IP perspective? 00:05:13 STEPHAN KINSELLA: What’s the justification for using someone else’s? 00:05:15 Q: Using, or do they need our permission, without permission?  What is the case for… 00:05:20

With over 25 years of leadership, sales, and performance development training, Dr. Joel Bryant's expertise and experience bring a refreshing, enlightening, and inspiring approach to developing a holistic understanding of self and groups within their personal and professional settings. He provides valuable tools and techniques to help you achievehttps://drjoelbryant.webs.com your greatness. Thanks for being here, and know that YOU matter! FROM HOMELESS TO GREATNESS! Several years ago I was as frustrated then as you may be now. I didn't know where I fit, let alone how to find my place in life. But rather than make excuses, I decided to make changes instead, which is what successful people do. Thanks to God's grace and my grit I now sit in a place I once dreamed about and drooled over. No, I'm not rich or famous, but I am fulfilled! That's what matters. In fact, in the last 20 years I've written 55 books, published 35, ghost-written two while publishing four books for other writers, In between, I obtained three degrees including a doctorate in Educational Leadership. I've also appeared on regional radio and television, served as a university lecturer, newspaper editor, and board member on two area nonprofits, along with other successes I seldom consider because of my quest for greatness. These successes include being a trainer with the Dun and Bradstreet Corporation. In fact, prior to quitting in October of 2000, I was named one of only 61 employees worldwide to receive the company's highest honor, Best of the Best Leadership Award, for my role in impacting employee performance and morale. One year later, however, I was homeless, broke, and bewildered. I also had my car repossessed. Though painful, these experiences prospered because they improved my leadership abilities and self-reliance. They also gave me insight I couldn't have gotten elsewhere or otherwise. My goal is to share these insights with you and to help you develop your leadership abilities. More importantly, I want to help you achieve YOUR dreams rather than eyeing others.
