In honor of the ten year anniversary of the left shark moment at the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show in 2015, a very specila rerun! Sixteenth Minute exclusive! We’ve got the first in depth interview with Bryan Gaw, aka the Left Shark himself. This week, Jamie revisits the 2015 Super Bowl saga that was Left Shark — the costumed cartilaginous fish that went rogue in 2015 beside Katy Perry during a chorus of ‘Teenage Dream,’ capturing the world’s heart. The person inside is just as lovable, and Jamie takes the bus to West Hollywood to meet dancer-turned-celebrity-stylist Bryan Gaw to revisit one of the internet’s few wholesome moments. Playliste: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band - Tenth Avenue freeze-out Michael Jackson - Jam/Billie Jean Stevie Wonder - Sir Duke Gloria Estefan - Turn the beat around U2 - Beautiful day Justin Timberlake with Janet Jackson - Rock your body Paul McCartney - Live and let die Prince - We will rock you/Let's go crazy Prince - Baby I'm a star/Proud Mary The Black Eyed Peas - I gotta feeling Missy Elliott and Katy Perry - Get ur freak on/Work it Shakira - She wolf/Empire/Kashmir Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg - The next episode/California love Kendrick Lamar - Not like us

Marina Toybina has won six Emmy awards as a costume designer, two of which were for her work on FOX's The Masked Singer, making her one of the most decorated FIDM Graduates of all time. At eleven years old, Marina moved from Moscow to Phoenix, Arizona. After high school, she decided to chase her passion and moved to Los Angeles to study Fashion Design at FIDM. Before she had even graduated, she launched a fashion line with fellow FIDM Student Ashton Hirota. Her drive and talent led her into developing relationships with notable celebrities including Taylor Swift, Usher, Pink, and Selena Gomez, and she now frequently collaborates with Carrie Underwood. Marina soon ventured into Hollywood, working on television shows such as The X Factor, So You Think You Can Dance, and World of Dance. In 2015, she created the costumes for the critically acclaimed Katy Perry Super Bowl Halftime Show, including the famous Left Shark costume. In this week's episode, “Your FIDM Story” Producer and “The Art of Costume” Lead Editor Spencer Williams talks with Marina about her life and inspiring career.

Remember the Left Shark from the Super Bowl a few years ago? He was supposed to be just a guy in a shark costume dancing next to Katy Perry during the halftime show. But because he decided to do his own thing, he became the center of attention. Every so often, another Left Shark will come along in the background of an event only to steal the show. The most recent of these was the Fiji Water girl during the Golden Globes red carpet, who has been given the title 2019's first meme after appearing to have photobombed many shots of the celebrities on the red carpet. Her real name is Kelleth Cuthbert, a Canadian model and influencer. That brings us to today's topic. As you'll find out, this everyday object is less about necessity but more about clever marketing, even before Cuthbert generated $12 million worth of brand exposure the past week. Podcast Audio Raw Video http://youtu.be/x_sPHyAF_Us Open Welcome to episode #257 of the the podcast celebrating the Alea Iacta Est gaming community, the die has ben podcast. This is Mkallah and there is a chocolate chip pound cake, a german chocolate cake, and angel food cake in the guild kitchen. Hey, Tet, remind me to start the carrot cake when we are done here. And, to my left is Tetsemi - (catchphrase here). This week we are joined by special guests Syreyne and Gustytail who is here to talk to us about AIE in WoW Welcome! Ok, we'll be digging into WoW shortly, but first, let's cover this week's news... AIE News Community Interested the AIE Guild Hall at Blizzcon? We have your news and ways you can help out, even if you can't join us! We are at the Anaheim Convention Center Hilton, upstairs at the top of the escalator, then left. Keep your eye out for the signs. The Guild Hall will be open at exactly 8:00 AM on Friday November 4th and Saturday November 5th and will be closing down when one of the persons in charge falls asleep from exhaustion (but most likely before midnight Sunday in a flurry of panicked cleaning and packing.) Mewkow has stepped up as our Guild Hall Coordinator! Thanks so much, Mew. We still need a ton of help, including: IT and A/V Coordinator; Lead Volunteer Coordinator; Info Desk Coordinator; Social Media Coordinator; Decorator Committee; Guild Hall Setup and Breakdown; and Kidspace Coordinator. Let Mew know if you can help in any way, especially if you are interested in one of the aforementioned positions. We also need donations to help cover the expenses of this great gathering. As we get closer, we will announce details for the AIE Guildhall 2016 Fund Raiser. Oh, and do you want to podcast at Blizzcon? We have you covered there, too! Podcasters are welcome to use the hall to record a show as long as you conform to the time schedule availability and must be confirmed by staff. Schedule availability is first come first served. Podcasters MUST provide their own equipment, be responsible for its security and set up and break down their own gear. A recommended donation to the Guild Hall of $40.00 to help cover costs of the guild hall is requested. In lieu of a donation, podcasters can also opt to work as volunteers at the Guild Hall. And, a HUGE thanks to Belthaz who donated to help make this year's AIE Guild Hall happen. Besides helping pay for the event, he coordinates with the Hilton to make sure we have the space we need. The Guild Hall was first baby back in 2010 and it is a tradition that has carried on strong in our community. https://aie-guild.org/blog/2016/07/blizzcon-2016-aie-guildhall/ NOMADS And, more news…. From Mew, who we may be appointing the AIE news director if he keeps this up. The Riders of Icarus Beta is open to the public! The game is free to play, so feel free to join us on Steam or direct client. We have a group of AIE folks on the Baellas server, most of which has greeter access to help get newcomers into the guild. Since this is just a beta, and not a GERP supported game, we do not require Umami registration to be up to date, but that may change to depending on interest. There are mounts and pets and the dungeons is very easy to learn. The story is great and every class has a hunter option! And in coordinating with the Summer of Love, we plan to hold an in game raffle for legendary founder packs, which is a real life $250.00 dollar value! The planned cost is 1 gold per ticket and you must have a Steam account in order to claim the founders code. And, this is a soft opening, so your characters will not be wiped. http://forum.

Podcast Audio Raw Video http://youtu.be/MS70fHw-wrw Open Welcome to episode #255 of the the podcast celebrating the Alea Iacta Est gaming community, the die has ben podcast. This is Alludra:I think you are awesome To my left is Mkallah - (Hey, folks, there are strawberry shortcakes in the guild kitchen). And right over there cleaning up the mess, we have Tetsemi (According to my spreadsheet, ah nevermind, I'll do it). This week we are joined by special guests Randy Deluxe AKA Maui who is here to talk to us about the Warcraft Movie! Welcome! Ok, we'll be digging into Warcraft shortly, but first, let's cover this week's news.. AIE News Community The Warcraft movie came out this week- and we had a TON of Meetups to watch it, including one in Chicago, Phoenix, Chattanooga, LA, and of course Scott's shindig in the Utah! If you want to schedule a meetup for a movie gathering, a guild dinner, or anything else, go to http://www.meetup.com/Alea-Iacta-Est/ Keep an eye on the Imperium Ludi section of the forums! Mewcow has been posting beta keys for the Riders of Icarus, an Eastern style MMO made by Nexon. http://forum.myextralife.com/topic/57158-riders-of-icarus/ And, sadly, Archleon's planned adventure of the Curse of Strahd at the Capitol Meeting Room in Madison, WI on June 26th has had to be canceled. if this is something that interests you, PM Archeleon on the forums or hit him up on twitter at @Lothmegal if this is something you would be interested in the future. http://forum.myextralife.com/topic/57115-curse-of-strahd/ WoW AIE WOW- under new Managment! Or is it old management? Or is it Orange is the new black- oh, we don't know! In any case, congrats to Randy Deluxe - aka Maui- aka our guest tonight- he has accepted to take over the reigns as the big kahuna of AIE WOW! And if you know Randy, you know he is the perfect fit- he has been involved with the guild from the beginning, has been our GM already, is still very active in the game, and is highly regarded in the community. Congrats are in order for the Hearder of the Cats and the Craft Faire folks- and a fair few raid groups, Syreyne has been promoted to Praetorian! For those who don't know, a Praetorian is a Senior Officer rank- a step up from the Centurion rank. Oh, and free to mail Sy a Left Shark as a celebratory gift! http://forum.myextralife.com/topic/57169-praetorian-promotion-syreyne/ A big thanks to Maui and Sy, may the refrigerator in the break room be filled with all of your favourite treats. Due to a sadly low drop rate for the garrison boss summoning items., Thuggs has changed the date on the AIE Vs Garrison Boss event to coincide with the Summer of Love! See our forums for details, or whisper Thuggs in game (or on twitter at @Alecmazzar). And reminder you can help by farming up the boss summoning items. These items have a chance to drop upon ANY completed garrison invasion regardless of any previous invasions done that week. They are INDEPENDENT of the bag of loot drops and you have a chance each and every time you complete an invasion. Everyone can help, regardless if they've done it before. And we will need that help, because we need at least 2-4 of every item. http://forum.myextralife.com/topic/57083-aie-vs-garrison-bosses-a-guildwide-event/ Speaking of Summer of Love, it is coming- sooner than you think! This year, the annual event of love and celebration runs August 1st to August 7th. Right now, the Community wide Remembrance day is Tuesday, August 2nd, Friday August 5th we have a COOP tentatively planed, and Saturday, August 6th we have Old School raid night!

Pet CSI Christina Lindquist is a forensic investigator. She uses evidence from animals, usually dogs and cats, to nab the bad guy. You'll hear about a murderer that was busted when he stepped in dog-poop and a rapist that was tied to the crime when a dog urinated on his car tires. Kissing Your Dog Could Be Healthy For You. After several studies saying that kissing your dog could expose you to some unhealthy things comes a study that says "Go ahead and kiss that dog!" Researchers think that the microbes contained in a dog's gut could have a probiotic effect on the human body, encouraging the growth of positive microorganisms. Animal Homes Imagine if you cross HGTV with Animal Planet. You'll get the new PBS special Animal Homes. Host Chris Morgan joins us and explains how some animals build their homes bigger and better and shinier to attract the opposite sex. Would You Adopt Justin Bieber or Kim Kardashian? Dallas Pets Alive has started naming their animals with popular online search terms, things like Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un, Miley Cyrus Twerking, Obamacare, Left Shark, or even Photoshopped Bieber. The idea is to increase the animal's exposure by having them pop up more often in trending news feeds. Is Dog Renting A Good Idea? In Tokyo, they've come up with a pretty cool idea. It's called Dog Heart and you can actually rent a dog for a few hours. You can just hang out at their facility or take the dog out for a walk around the neighborhood or maybe to the park. A half-hour of playtime costs about $8 US and taking the dog for a walk for an hour runs about $30. It's becoming very popular. But the Japanese Coalition for Animal Welfare has some valid worries.
