This time on High-Dere, Ian and Joe invite fellow Amoviego Martyn on the show to wrap up the craziness that was 2020! We promise, a 3rd "Year End" show is the charm! We talk about the inversion of the moderate political and social opinion, just as long as you PICK a SIDE! Martyn walks us through his process of learning the debt based system of the United States. Then we explore the vastness inside us all, accessible through prayer, manifestation, meditation....we are not the bodies that we inhabit,; but we AREvsed capitalihis the product of the experiences our bodies have!! And like we did during "Chappie" we wonder where consciousness actually comes from.2020 has been a year of a lot of pain and energies being expelled from people, a lot of them through actions and requirements completely outside the control of individuals entirely. We re-visit Olivia Mabel and tease the upcoming content tied to the mystery of Footlights Ranch. All this, and some preparations to say goodbye to President Donald J. Trump on this Year Ending episode of High-Dere.
War! This week on High-Dere.But not before wishing Ian and Joe’s Moms Vivienne and Gayle. We love birthdays. And then our heroes go through the Wikipedia definition of War, and it’s informative to say the least. The guys realize that when you get down to it, War is a very broad reaching phrase that is valid in many different arenas and applications. And the different types of war, including Total War could be happening around us in many different ways without us even knowing they’re occurring….War is something that has affected people throughout history, and from a certain point of view (Ben Kenobi) that’s no different than right now in 2020. We just hope we aren’t truly in for a “Dark Winter”All this on a fresh steamy new episode of High-Dere.SHOUT OUTS:LITGuy FieriChad Kroeger
This week on High-Dere, Ian and Joe decide to close out the year in style by jingling all the way through an episode of grab bag madness. They most certainly earned their way onto Santa’s naughty list. They kick things off with an apology to Tom Delonge after poking fun of Blink-182 while discussing UFO disclosure, a subject both are highly interested in. Joe provides a loose list of interesting topics to cover while Ian, per usual, does his best to keep up with the chaos. They question the legitimacy of the existence of Bigfoot, vaccine safety and the 2020 Election, while keeping their sites on self improvement, dealing with depression and what it means to be a hero. Then they wrap things up with a little bow with some ElfTree Media updates, the latest Olivia Mabel developments, Joe’s newest Songbird EP, how much Ian loves Taylor Swift and end it with with some top secret not secret audio obtained from the set of Mission Impossible. All this and more on this Krampus worthy chillfest of High-Dere. Merry Christmas!Shout outs:Tracy Beanz & Frank of Dark to Light PodcastTom DelongeKevin SmithGeorge LucasThe Joe Biden Crime Family
On this Older and Wiser episode of High-Dere Ian and Joe celebrate a birthday with a brew and a bowl before getting up to the same ole conversation shenanigans they’re “famous” for. After Joe loses one entire side of a 15 minute conversation, the guys discuss age milestones and whether they feel “behind” their goals or not. Things they’re combatting ultimately by doing things like updating the ElfTree Media site, getting Small Business Certification, putting out new music…all while surrounded with an ever changing medical, social and political climate; a perfect storm fitting for a year such as 2020.They also talk about survival instinct, fight or flight and physical defense beliefs in a time where info analysis by members of QAnon reveals shocking truths and lies about the world around us on an almost daily basis. This terrifying whirlwind is also combatted by self-awareness and busying ourselves with work that should hopefully bring us "All Together Now”All this and more on a typical 2020 episode of High-Dere.Song Credits:Happy Birthday! - Jazzy Piano Arrangement by Jonny MayAll Together Now - By Literally Me Right Now© Elf Tree Publishing (ASCAP)
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe record live from the Wuhan wet market, I mean… Los Angeles, to deliver another action-packed episode, bringing you the latest on their quarantine lockdown. As the heavy hand of Covid-19 loosens it’s clammy grip on the world, we celebrate the new ElfTree Media Day with a company update! Our eyes “well with the tears of our past” as we dip into the lack of continuity and suspension of disbelief while Harry Potter and friends disappear, unnoticed by muggles on Platform 9 3/4.We marvel at the differences between the elegant elves of Lord of the Rings and the mischievous wizard slave House Elves in the Harry Potter series and how the death of Dobby brought Ian to his emotional knees. We touch base with Val Kilmer and dip into a grab bag of topics such as how Joe got his start in music, the Jay and Silent Bob reboot, creepy Bill Gates, the strange condition of getting older and the recent deaths of Fred Willard, Little Richard and Roy Horn. *FUN FACT - Roy Horn was attacked by his tiger on Ian’s birthday. Then, we scratch our heads because of Joe Biden’s middle name and if we think this bumbling hair sniffing politician will become the “official” DNC candidate in 2020. Joe shares an interesting conversation he has with a doctor who reveals some insight on the pandemic and possible hidden secrets behind the veil, including a possible sinister plan of high level Masons using the Bible as their guide to manipulate and control humanity. *Dun! Dun! Dun!* Could we be living in a Truman Show type reality where truth is waiting on the other side of a wall? This month on High-Dere, Ian and Joe stick with the quarantine in the midst of a celebration of April 20th....for NO special reason at all!!!Everyone is still in quarantine. And while it's only halfway through, it's bringing people together and creativity is flourishing in this world of isolation. But that's not stopping people from wanting to know whats next. We take a look at The White House's plan for Opening Up America Again while also hearing some questionable acceptabilities from Dr. Oz.Then Joe introduces us to Out of Shadows, a documentary that eases its audience into a way of seeing the world and the shadowy side of the entertainment industry as a whole. Then we turn on the I Am Sam soundtrack and have some Tea with Gary Vee, before watching Joe create the song "Blind Man Who Sees" on Instagram! We close up 75 by introducing a whole new Podcast on the ElfTree Podcast Network! Go check out "We're Going To Vegas" on Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe self quarantine and record their first ever remote show from their separate studios as the COVID-19 virus slithers it’s way into the United States. Advised by the authorities to “self-quarantine,” we test out what could be a new remote process for the show during these unknown and strange times. We question the news medias behavior, as we often do, of spreading fear among the masses as they cover this new strain of the Coronavirus and what we can do to stay aware of the bigger picture that could be playing out as we hide in our homes under our blankets. As the toilet paper and bread aisles leave us staring at empty shelves in grocery stores across the country, we do our best to understand what is unfolding right before our very eyes as the world comes to a historical halt. Then we discuss the primary numbers and where we expect this election season to go as the tide turns against Bernie Sanders and leans in favor of whispery “Creepy Uncle Joe” Biden. We remind our listeners of the coup that was attempted against Trump, revealed through the DNC leak, and try to make sense of the sinister chaos to come.Lastly we breeze past the JFK assassination and laws that were changed in the aftermath of his murder and how taxpayer money is funneled through the murky and dodgy justice department. We wish all of our listeners a safe and healthy quarantine as we continue to chase the light and expose the dark in this new reality together. We’re just two dudes in LA trying to make sense of what’s been happening and where we think things are going in this slow waking world we live in. Let us know if you have any interesting information based on this weeks show and, as always, check below for additional show notes and links! This episode, we invite any Elites who benefitted from the Great Depression, and maybe COVID-19, onto the show.Shout Outs: Taco BellTaco BuenoPETAJen BrineyCREDITS“My Everything” by Songbirdsongbirdofficial.com“Woodlands” by Wiljan & Xandrahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCcN-IoYIJA&list=PL44UysF4ZQ23B_ITIqM8Fqt1UXgsA9yD6"Deep" by HereWeGo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7ZO9Hsu1lc&list=PL44UysF4ZQ23B_ITIqM8Fqt1UXgsA9yD6&index=3LINKSPrice Phillip quotehttps://royalcentral.co.uk/uk/philip/prince-philips-deadly-virus-gaffe-139041/COVID-19 Vaccine - San Diego Labhttps://www.tleay.com/san-diego-lab-discovers-covid-19-vaccine-in-3-hours/ COVID-19 Map of US Stateshttps://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/coronavirus-us-cases.html#g-us-mapCOVID-19 InfoGraphichttps://informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/covid-19-coronavirus-infographic-datapack/Milwaukee Water Crisishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-0ZOh44X8kTikTokhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TikTokJoe Biden - Bombard Body Languagehttps://bombardsbodylanguage.com/2018/03/31/body-language-creepy-joe-biden-dominance-submission/Prince Andrew - Bombard Body Languagehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKQi3wzNFGQJoe Biden’s Speechhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AST9Wo6IaIEFlouridehttps://globalhealing.com/natural-health/9-shocking-dangers-of-fluoride/Jim Garrison on NBChttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1kH25AC27gJim Garrison interview with Johnny Carsonhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxp_EoNTrbcFCC Fairness Doctrinehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FCC_fairness_doctrineTelecommunications act of 1996https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecommunications_Act_of_19962.3 Trillion in Transactions InfoGraphichttps://www.metabunk.org/threads/debunked-rumsfeld-says-2-3-trillion-missing-from-the-pentagon.165/Rumsfeld on Pentagon Waste on 9/10/01 https://youtu.be/vN_NGYdgDck - *IMPORTANT TIMECODES IN VIDEO* 9:03 - 9:50 - 13:50 - 14:09Conspiracy Theorists Liehttps://www.imdb.com/title/tt5090230/Ugly Delicioushttps://www.netflix.com/title/80170368
On this month’s FaceLifted episode of High-Dere, Ian & Joe discuss death of the old and birth of the new; evolving lives, stories, entertainment and crimes that make up this crazy-ass world we exist in.Apparently Ian feels that to see his stolen stuff again would be akin to THE Disciples seeing Christ again after his death...or seeing Superman return to life after HIS death. Crazy! Then we dive into the death of creative productivity due to technical software issues and how they completely wreak havoc on our emotions, much like the Pepsi Fire that wreaked havoc on Michael Jackson's hair. ;)We then hear about a BLOW-UP fight that happened between Ian & Joe and learn why High-Dere is important to them & why it’s crucial to have it stick around.THEN we look at the hypocrisy that exists between the widely praised J-Lo and Shakira headlined Super Bowl LIV halftime show and the hubbub created by the (tame by comparison) wardrobe malfunction involving Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake for Super Bowl XXXVIII.We wind down the show by talking about some incredibly interesting DocuSeries presented by Netflix. Most of which deal with HEAVY topics like Murder, rage, the opioid crisis and Nazis. Almost as fun as having to be the person who tells a sibling that their childhood hero died. Yeah......And just as a reminder, keep your eyes open. All people in power "Poke the Bear" in one way or another; they've all done it. That's no reason for an entire half of the country to completely unravel just to defeat the other half of the counrty. We're all in this together, right? On this brand spankin' new High-Dere, Ian and Joe talk about what has been going on in their lives since they were last seen in 2017...it's a lot. From music videos in Tokyo to smuggler runs on Batuu; producing television, slingin' packages for Bezos and welcoming a niece and a furry friend to the world. We've had a busy 3 years. And we've seen it be a difficult time for a lot of people, especially in Hollywood. We examine an article from the Hollywood Reporter about Depression in the industry and what major studios and companies are doing to help their biggest assets...their workforce. How do Ian and Joe handle the pressure and depressive tendencies of the wild west that is Hollywoodland? Come find out.THEN we get into the muck of the circus that is The Impeachment of President Donald J. Trump. Boy! What a show. The guys get into the charges brought against him and ultimately whether or not they agree with a super-eager Democratic Party in the House of Representatives. Lol.And did you know that the government can now legally propagandize US Citizens through media networks and companies? Look it up. Smith-Mundt Act (both 1948 and 2012)...scary stuff.Wrap out this sesh by hearing what Ian and Joe's goals for 2020 are and who we would invite on the show if given the chance. Aw Hell. Demons have broken into the RV. I guess that’s what we get for leaving it abandoned for years….
This week on a surprise episode of High-Dere, the boys are joined by fellow Texan and freelance creative artist Casey Reid (vaycasey.com). We hear tales of Joe’s trip to Ireland and his upcoming travels around the world, we celebrate Ian’s decision to go freelance and get some advice from Mr. #FreelanceFriday himself, and we hear about the tragic series of events that has lead to the disappearance of High-Dere’s forever companion and mascot, Maddie. We “investigate” the Oklahoma City Bombing and the Waco Incident, we hear how the US had trouble tracking spending right before 9/11 and close it out with a live acoustic performance, all while sweating into oblivion. In honor of newly elected President Donald Trump, we discuss the difference between mainstream and alternative media, which one is really giving us “Fake” news and how the world is starting to wake up to some pretty deep things. Then the 3Amoviegos take over to chat about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and how CG lips just can’t replace Peter Cushing. We wrap it all up with a little legal weed talk and our resolutions for how to keep it real and unplug in 2017. All this and more on this explosive episode of High-Dere. SFX thanks to Joseph Reikow on Youtube
This week on High-Dere we celebrate Ian's 30th birthday and press our luck with a creepy story that we've decided to write and develop into a script. Ian starts the show by taking us through the 1984 story of Michael Larson, the legendary Press Your Luck game show winner, who took home a whopping $110,237 after figuring out the pattern of the game to avoid the bankrupting Whammies… or did he? We take a sharp turn down humanity street by questioning the motives behind those defunding Planned Parenthood while reflecting on the powerful magic of words and how it effects those around us. We wrap things up with a challenge by igniting our creative brains into a frenzy over Olivia Mabel's death and how we're going to fill in the gaps as to how we think she met her end. All this and more on Episode 53 of High-Dere! Shout Out to Greg Proops, Fields Afire and, of course, Dave Foley (Michael Larson)! --- For more reading, check out: The Man Who Got No Whammies - http://priceonomics.com/the-man-who-got-no-whammies/ Big Bucks - The Press Your Luck Scandal - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzNMCXWCZzQ What Killed Olivia Mabel? - http://oliviamabel.com/
This week on High-Dere we give the world something everyone wants out of a weekly show. Enough episodes to fill a full year!!!! Today Joe brings to the table an article about a particular pesticide present and engineered into BT crops by Monsanto that is actually causing new allergies in people (like gluten intolerance) and literally eating away at our intestines. Dr. Jaydee Hanson’s words walk us through the complex science of GMOs which, like it or not, are already on your plate every day! Then, after a commercial break, Ian reads a tale he ran across about Olivia Mabel, a woman in Texas who was found mysteriously dead in her house. Local legend has morphed the story into one of potential Tulpa creation, so it definitely caught our attention. All this and an Epic IPA by Mammoth Brewing Company on this week’s episode of High-Dere. If you want to read more on this week’s topics, click the links below! This week on High-Dere we go Over-The-Hill to episode 50 by talking about a whole bunch of made up stuff and how it can and does cross the line into reality. With a military helicopter escort, Joe starts off with a correction about Dick Cheney that leads us into a fascinating corporate history lesson about Halliburton and the sinister connections that it and so many of it’s key players share behind a shadowy curtain. And then we chat more about Tulpa. We hear what they are, how they got to the western world and how they have actually affected reality in the case of the Slender Man Stabbing, 2014 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. And to top it all off, we hear about Ian’s imaginary friend Henry and “The Wolf” from Ian’s childhood that finally got him. All this on a silver aged episode of High-Dere. This week on High-Dere, we examine corporations, governments and thoughtforms that overstep their bounds and are wreaking havoc over the world. We start off talking about the Netflix show Narcos, the story of Pablo Escobar and the struggle against extradition and the DEA. This leads us to chat about the financial industry and black budgets, missing money and the covering up of paper trails, and the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) brought about by the World Trade Organization (WTO). And to wrap it all up, we hear a story Ian found on Reddit about a man who thinks he might be a Tulpa that he created as a child inhabiting his physical body, different from the person he was when he was born. Check it out on this week’s episode of High-Dere. -- Shout out to Jen Briney and her podcast Congressional Dish! Thank you for all you do and please keep up the good work! This week, on a late night (and slightly toasty) episode of High-Dere, we confirm our masculinity by going to a drag show. At the top of the show, we talk about early childhood and 1st grade before we hear some jokes written by Joe in the middle of the night. Then we get distracted by Mario. Then, with special guest Stacey Danger, we talk about Chico’s Angels, an Off Broadway play starring 3 latinas (in drag) playing a very caricature-ish version of Charlie’s Angels. After a commercial break we talk about the popularity of Jesus, our involvement in the colonization of Mars, and our thoughts on Michael Jackson. All this and much more on this week’s episode of High-Dere. This week, we invite Nicolas Cage on the show. Check out Stacey and Fitzgerald on Instagram. And keep your eye out for Dinner with Danger And if you wanna get real, and we mean real, tweet us.
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe decide to move forward, not backward, and interrupt the expected archived shows with a brand spanking new one! After chatting about a few random topics, including the medicinal values of Mary Jane, Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood and the impressive hair of both “The Donald” Trump and “Coco” O’Brien, our heroes discuss some ElfTree business. Fictitious business names, “Going Pro”, some short films and our subscriber numbers; all on this week’s celebratory episode of High-Dere.
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe make an important announcement and then roll an episode from the archives to give everyone a taste of the early days. We hear the creation of Big Bear, a recurring character in our 46 episode run so far. Then we find out that neither of our hosts have been in a real fight. Sibling fights are one thing, but they don’t count. They also reference Simon (Ian’s Brother) and Shelby (Ian & Joe’s friend) for the first time as we hear one of their earliest attempts to put good out into the world. All this, and much more on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
This week on Earthship Radio the boys of 3Amoviegos trade in their sombreros for powdered wigs as they cross the "perverbial pond" to discuss the circus behind the UK General Elections, Why the royal family exists, taxation and how we could positively change our communities instead of leaving them prey to vulture politicians. They pontificate on elections in general and why people have become complacent with the same corrupt political charades we've all grown to disdain. Ian shares a story about the Garland, Tx "terrorist" shooting at the Mohammed drawing contest and the fear it creates when the media chooses to present the domestic terrorism script to the public which only further demonizes certain religions. They talk about different cultures, "The American Experiment" and how fear is a tool being used to control peoples behavior. Par for the course with this bunch, they skip a little further down the hole toward the urban mystery of marijuana prohibition and the magical powers of this little green gift of the Earth. They skim the surface of Gnosticism, God and the Devil, GMO foods, A possible "Big Reveal" of hidden secrets to the world, How children are programmed with dogma of the past and How we can progress as a technologically eco-conscious society. All up for ear grabs on this weeks episode of Earthship Radio.
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe talk about badasses & dead branches with the help of Joe’s new gear purchase, the Suzuki Omnichord. After an impromptu dance off, our hosts talk about old friends from far off lands, handmade furniture and forts, and then dive into past unpreparedness to discuss christian beliefs with anyone who was not a christian. Relationships are all about sharing ideas and open thought. They discuss how scary it can be to make changes in your own life because it usually requires a decision to leave a lot of old people, things and beliefs behind for your own good. Then we hear about how our perceptions and memories of ones we’ve lost aren’t any different than them being here with us on our plane. After a jam break, they wrap it out with the results from Ian’s now completed Ultimate Reset! All this and tons of chord progressions, on this week’s episode of High-Dere. Shout out to the late Bill Hicks, Carrie Fisher, & Simon. Chris Pratt, you’re officially invited on the show, sir!
This week on Earthship Radio, Joe sits down in the RV with Steve and Jake, collaborators on Interstellar Hearts, the new EP from his band Awake or Sleeping. Up first is Pilots, a costal love song that is meant to snatch one out of the pockets of chaos and depression. Next is Interstellar Hearts, the titular track that cosmically explores the total randomness and impossibility of planning who you meet and connect with in this universe. Third comes Crashing Into Gold, the song that inspired the artwork for the album. With this song Joe wanted to bring better concepts and positivity to chasing your dreams and crashing into gold. The 4th track is How Far Is Love questions how far someone will go to find love and truth, like a phoenix from the ash. Lastly, Holding You In My Arms concludes the relatable theme of love with a song that encourages one to escape the chaos, almost like sinking under a swimming pool into the silence. For an album like Interstellar Hearts, life is all about moments and trust. For Earthship Radio, it’s all about the conversation, and this week’s episode is a great one. Check out Sleeping Wolf on iTunes. Interstellar Hearts out July 28th!
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe get naked with their thoughts and opinions on mobsters, slavery and responsibilities of the awakened. First, they marvel at how the Great Pyramids were built all those years ago, leading them to wonder what our Pop-Up book style society would leave behind after we either die out or the west coast falls into the ocean because of “The Big One” earthquake. We’re certainly no Atlantis. Then we hear about Joe’s fascination with the mobsters who build Sin City and how the old Las Vegas courthouse, instrumental in acquitting all the founding “Godfathers” is now a museum celebrating the history Vegas has with the mob. This brings them to condoning the mentality of intolerance, and how slavery hasn’t really gone away in the US; it has simply become more sophisticated by being run by corporations, and having us as the slaves to the “Work” machine. Why should 1 or 2 people get to decide what is good for the masses that live here? And why on earth do we, as humans, charge ourselves to live on this planet? That, and an update from Ian on Week 3 of his Ultimate Reset, on this week’s all nude episode of High-Dere. Check out Interstellar Hearts, a new EP from Awake or Sleeping (Joe): Out July 28th!
This week on Earthship Radio, Joe gets the RV back up and running so the he, Jennifer and Ian can talk about unsolved mysteries and alien sightings in renaissance paintings. *Cue X-Files theme song* Jennifer breaks out the story of the Taman Shud case, also known as the Mystery of the Somerton Man. Happening in Adelaide Australia in 1948, the Somerton Man was found laying against the seawall with some confusing items on his person, without any sort of identification, a spleen three times it’s normal size and a scrap of paper containing the words "Taman Shud." Over the next few months many other mysterious leads pop up, including a suitcase full of clothes with their tags removed, some orange thread only found in America, the sudden appearance of the copy of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam from which the previous scrap had been torn, an unbreakable code handwritten inside said book, a woman who was visibly distressed upon seeing the man even though she denied any knowledge of who he was, and theories that this man was a soviet spy. Quite an interesting unsolved mystery. Then Jennifer tells the tale of the "Wow!” signal, a mysterious transmission picked up in 1977 by SETI and never heard from again. Was it aliens? Who knows, but this leads to curiosities of how long we’ve been intercepting and seeing contact from Extra Terrestrials. They wrap up their time in the RV with a brief story about bot flied making their home inside a human man’s testicles. All this and more on episode 13 of Earthship Radio.
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe freeze their asses off while listening to Jimi Hendrix and talking about many different and delicious types of food. Including a Bratzi! Ian is on Day 7 of his Reset, and it’s going well for him. More energy, but a shorter fuse, which he’s noticing and understanding. He’s cooked all his meals for a week now, and has 2 more to go. AND he’s lost 8 pounds since Day 1. Pretty incredible. Then our heroes discuss the possibility of a Mini Ice-Age on the way, according to the British Tabloid The Daily Mail. Solar flairs and cycles are approaching a Maunder Minimum, which might mean a 60% drop in Earth’s temperatures for about 11 years on or around 2030. After a brief performance of The Star Spangled Banner from Jimi Hendrix (© 1969 Woodstock) they move on to Comic Con, where we hear about Kevin Smith’s Yoga Hosers main villain, the Bratzi. A Sentient Nazi Bratwurst. And then they give their initial thoughts on the new Batman v. Superman trailer, including their reactions to Jesse Eisenberg’s casting as uber nemesis, Lex Luthor. They wrap it up with talk of a bad business decision from the co-founder of Domino’s Pizza and a stuffed zucchini. All this and more on a jam packed episode of High-Dere.
This week on Earthship Radio Joe, Jennifer and Ian sneak into the RV to talk about some very macabre things in very irreverent and hilarious ways. Beginning with Lesbian sex, they quickly move on to things like “being an accident,” male birth control injections (Vasalgel), and layered alcoholic beverages before taking a commercial break. “That’s Badass" Then they get to the macabre, which is Jennifer’s forte. We hear how she’s so fascinated by these topics that she thinks about it constantly and starts to make up situations in her head in which those things were happening to her. Then she horrifies the guys with descriptions of the Judas Cradle and the Brass Bull; two torture devices used in the Renaissance period. And they are two of the most ghastly things Ian and Joe had ever heard of really existing. They move on to her idea of serial killer postage stamps, starring people like Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker) and then, just before they lose their signal, begin to talk about death by Guillotine. All on this weeks messed up episode of Earthship Radio.
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe clean their shits out and see where Ian’s first ever “Clean” show leads them! Ian is on Day 2 of the Ultimate Reset and he’s committed and loving it. We hear how Ian & Joe were dumb and went shopping for the meal plans on the day before one of the biggest cookout day’s of the year, the 4th of July. Then we talk about the meals being made, the physical (and intestinal) changes happening, and the cost of small items like Pine Nuts ($28/pound) and Seaweed ($13 for a 1oz bag?!?). 19 Days to go. Then they talk about ElfTree Podcast Network and how our shows are what we want to hear. Ian & Joe discuss topics that everyone discusses, but they also share them with the world. And that’s why Podcast Movement is going to be helpful for them. After some chatting about the difference between advice and perspective and a run down of some favorite board games, they close out the show so that Maddie can stop freaking out over fireworks. All on this week’s episode of High-Dere. PS. Hit us up on Twitter with the answers to our two quiz questions to win a gift bag from ElfTree Podcast Network.
This week on High-Dere, come with Ian & Joe while they celebrate some progress, draw attention to money scams and hit the ultimate reset button on life, because let’s face it…#Lovewins…or at least it should. On June 26th, the Supreme Court of the United States voted to essentially legalize all marriage across the country. But the interesting part to Ian & Joe about the whole decision is the reasoning people give for why they’re against it. Today, Ian & Joe talk a lot about what it means to live in a world where Love should truly “Win” but people ultimately are too afraid to speak out against things that simply shouldn’t be. They issue a warning to everyone to use caution and not fall into traps of mentality due to popularity or how others will view you. They also talk about failing (and soon to fail) economies and how when grasping for money/power becomes anyone’s main focus, morals and love seem to be the first things to go. Did you know that parts of the US Prison System are traded on Nasdaq? It’s true. Doesn’t that make prisoners into “Commodities” rather than “People” who are in need of rehabilitation for their “actions”? Additionally, shouldn’t Ian & Joe have been able to see the exhibit on the Dead Sea Scrolls for free? They talk about how something so supposedly old and important to humanity shouldn’t be used as a tool for an association to make a buck. We should all be able to see these important things and contemplate what they mean and/or what they mean to us for FREE. And then to wrap things up, we hear about Ian & Joe’s upcoming journey to cleanse and reclaim their health, bodies and minds through Beachbody’s Ultimate Reset. All on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe take flight over the proverbial hill toward planet Altair, and into a magical world full of beauty and antagonists of all kinds with author and lover of life, Elijah Schkeiban. After meeting in a coffee shop and randomly being introduced to Elijah’s fascinating David and Goliath tale, Ian & Joe had to have him on the show. They talk about Elijah's 1988 script-turned-2002-book, Bats & Butterflies, and the monstrous task he undertook when, in 2009, he began to suspect that his material had been infringed upon by 20th Century Fox and James Cameron through their production of the film Avatar. From his creative process and habits, to the disciplined and philosophical mind it takes to be a writer, and even touching on his royal Lebanese bloodline dating back to the 1100s, Elijah is someone who had many different experiences in his life, and it was a pleasure having him on this 40th episode of High-Dere.
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe are joined by Shelby (and Martyn briefly in the beginning) to hear the archived tale of Ian’s first 24 hours, and first week in California. Many of our listeners will know by now that when Ian moved to LA in June, 2014, he woke up on his first morning to his Uhaul and (almost everything) he owned having been stolen overnight. Poof, just gone. This is the tale of a very different Ian's first week in LA, how he initially handled this potential trauma, and the initial steps toward what would eventually become the ElfTree Podcast Network. We close our our Dirty Thirties with some initial thoughts on the new medical culture and some future thoughts podcast plans. On this weeks episode of High-Dere. *NOTE* The sound quality isn’t what you’re used to on High-Dere. Like we mentioned, Ian had just been robbed. Give them a break!
This week on High-Dere, Shelby joins Ian & Joe on an Interstellar journey through the world of Awake or Sleeping’s album covers. Joe has a few EPs being released in 2015 and Shelby is in town to do the photography and album artwork for each of the 3 titles. Hear about how they found the studio, gathered the costume elements, and conceptualized 3 covers that fit with the two already in existence. They praise Shelby’s photoshop skills, contemplate having a museum of AoS props, talk about the practicality of the spacesuit that was assembled, institute the "gold rule” and wonder who would be the most annoying housemate in the Full House house. Then get a clip from the first single, Pilots, off the first EP, Interstellar Hearts. All on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
This week in the RV, Ian brings his mum Vivienne on board and learns about the things that make her tick.Coincidentally, she’s working on her own memoirs so these topics were fresh in her mind. She talks about the things that made her into the very structured style of go-with-the-flow that she seems to have become now, which began at an early age.Because her parents worked in the foreign office abroad in Lebanon, and subsequently sent her away to boarding school as a 12 year old girl, Vivienne was responsible for her own happiness at an age when it was a big expectation of a person. But she learned how to actually be able to rely on herself, which is a trait she carried on and passed along. Then we hear about her legendary days doing her own thing, like racing a 2000 Horsepower 32ft. Phantom Powerboat (and flipping it), working in restaurants rather than join her parents in the foreign office, and meeting “Just another American” while working at a rental car company, who ended up being Ian’s dad! After briefly touching on homeschooling, Vivienne pontificates about how she’s been able to balance the need for structure in a lot of aspects of life, with the inevitable need to just go-with-the-flow. Rebelling against the social norm in very healthy ways, because everything happens for a reason. And ultimately, her secret to a successful life and family was to dedicate her life to her family, like it was her job, and to do what worked best for them, and ultimately her. Because that's what she was good at!And boy was she! Enjoy this very special Mother’s Day episode of Earthship Radio.
This week on High-Dere, Joe isn’t feeling well so we unwrap an archived episode from the basement days of High-Dere and show you how new and green Ian & Joe were to podcasting. We open with an a-cappella demo of the theme song and jump right in with the executive decision to just use first names, our heroes review a strain of weed right off the bat. Then they dive into the world of Church and how it was to grow up in that world. Vomit Duck was born, which leads to a story of projectile puking in Ian’s car. We then hear how fresh everything was. Ian’s belongings had just been stolen, we had no websites yet, and we had a show that has now been packed away, We2D2. Hear why Ian & Joe decided to start podcasting, and why they think it’s worth diving into. And then we hear the backgrounds of our two hosts, including Joe’s discography, his musical history and the collaborators from his first album, 2009’s If I Could. Ironically we also ask how many episodes it’d be before we had Kevin Smith on a show. And if you think about it, it really only took 1. But as a LIVE guest on the show, we’re at 36 and counting... And, as usual, we hear them stumble for the first time toward the end, while they try and figure out their sign off. All on this week’s moth-ball smelling episode of High-Dere.
This week on High-Dere Ian & Joe marvel at the supernatural, the manipulation of people through marketing and needless birthday gifts. Do werewolves exist? Ask Lon Chaney Jr. That’s what our heroes begin this week’s show with. This leads them to ask about other mythical creatures and people who apparently don’t age, like Keanu Reeves and Nicolas Cage. What if the The Fast & The Furious was made in the 1940’s, but set in 2015? They remember that Mother’s Day just passed, which leads to a chat about what Ian thinks would really be appropriate plans for someone’s birthday. And then, we hear how manipulation starts and how teachers have to be strong willed and have themselves together. Or you could just be a rebel like Ian’s mum, and homeschool! And why does Marvel think that it can keep putting out movies that are so formulaic that they’re starting to blend together? Oh, that’s right, because marketing practically shoves it down our throats so that it’s the first thing that people think to do when they have any down time. They close it out by shouting out to Hurlbut Visuals for their Strategies in Filmmaking series. And did you know that people race their drones through the woods? Yeah, neither did we. All this and more on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
This week the RV is invaded by Joe Moralez and Nora Jobling as they share a bottle of Cupcake while zigzagging through an in-depth discussion as to how network television and film industries operate for actors and casting directors. Because Nora is no stranger to TV Land, she shares her expertise on the chaos of “pilot season,” the art of comedy teams, Multi-cam television vs. film, Her latest acting gig in Peter Bogdanovich's, She's Funny That Way, Her starring role in a series she's creating based on her love life, Single Nora, The deliciously sinful perks of catering and the origins of where she got her name. Once the wine kicks in, they go full throttle toward Joe attempting to explain what the Trailer Park Boys is all about while both pontificate getting around LA in an Uber, The intense judgement of a cat, How to set up a dinner party, The difference between falling in love when you're young vs. older, Creating your own film reel, The awkwardness of catching dozens of people taking "selfless" in front of the Mona Lisa as well as the unfortunate invention of the Selfie Stick… to which Nora clearly loathes. In the end, Joe & Nora finish their Cupcake and smash the RV into a cesspool of twisted metal by attempting to close out the show singing Unchained Melody from the movie, Ghost… twice.
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe discuss how art is made, with the most honest of intentions. After starting the show with Maddie, they wonder how would be the most enjoyable way to demolish a building, given a blank check to do so. They talk about the documentary “The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?”, the bizarre notion of a Nicolas Cage Superman, and the Kevin Smith Q&A afterward. Then they move to people, and how generations have changed. People almost need someone now that has a Robin Hood complex, like Guy Fawkes. And where the hell did bullshit banking and ATM fees come from? Then Joe tells us about his weekend in the studio, tracking drums for some new Awake or Sleeping music with Jeff Peters, James Gabbie and Benjamin Rice at Pie Studios. He is amazed at the process of putting together a song, getting it recorded and produced, but he admits that he misses the camaraderie of playing together as a group and feeding off each other’s energies. The challenge now is promoting, which leads Ian to wonder why an artist should have to take on that role as well as his artist role. They then move into an improv session of the ElfTree Podcast Network Elevator Pitches, touch briefly on religious violence in Ian’s hometown, and then stumble into our 34th ending, while encouraging people to reach out and say hi! All on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe find themselves in the observers seat of a few different kind of experiences, and tell you all about it! Joe finds himself the very passive observer of a tense text message string throughout the show! This leads our heroes to discuss the mis-interpretive nature of text messaging, and how people need to chill out! Joe then remember’s he hasn’t texted someone back in about 4 hours, prompting them to shout-out Lifehouse, Scott Stapp and Scott Speedman all at once. Then we hear about their experience reaching out, and demo’ing the Oculus Rift, courtesy of their friend Ben Worthen, who’s going to be on Episode 34. We hear how it felt to have a steering wheel that responded very well to the visuals seen inside the Oculus Rift. Shout out to Jeremy Clarkson at this point, while singing “Goodbye Horses” and some rendition of the angry text string is put to song as well. Jim Carrey’s twitter photo makes an appearance after a brief commercial. Then they wonder about the weather. Somehow, we hear them jump around to catholicism, a new show titled Um, Erica, Napoleon Dynamite, feeding Ian the complete works of William Shakespeare, Richard Simmons and Russell Simmons and working on an Oil Rig in the middle of the ocean. Flashback to the Toypedo pool toy! We hear Maddie fall asleep and it entertain the hell out of Ian. We hear one last set of the emotion filled text string before wrapping it up with an In-The-Car de-briefing of our immediate thoughts of the Oculus Rift from the night before. All this, and much more, on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
This week on High-Dere Ian & Joe check out, and they explore potential alternate realities with the Oculus Rift. How would they be able to handle an earthquake or California falling into the ocean through an Oculus Rift while dealing with perception vs. reality. The Oculus Rift is notorious for messing with your equilibrium. Ian & Joe come up with a plethora of different applications and situations on the fly, geared around Oculus Rift with no research or confirmation beforehand, so they have no idea if what they’re coming up with already exists. Go figure! Ian even pontificates about the future evolution of the technology, Geordi La Forge style. Would people supplement or replace our ability to actually see with our own eyes? Would people ever use Oculus Rift as a method of “traveling the world?” They come up with radical ideas for adventure co-op games within a virtual world set within adaptable environments. They also touch on the topics of Hotel demolition, holomapped advertising on the Grand Canyon vs. personal screensavers in Times Square, Dolly Parton, they find where Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is, why people insist on spoiling things like movie trailer releases, and Randy Quaid’s interesting rant. They back around to the Oculus Rift to talk about Trailers, Star Wars and imagine what the virtual world of Harry Potter would be like and how long until attending Hogwarts becomes a reality! That, along with an early Star Wars prediction from Ian and a rough merchandise idea from Joe, wait for you on this week’s episode of High-Dere!
This week on High-Dere, Ian & Joe have technical problems right from the beginning. But then they prove that they do know what they’re doing, and now they wrap their mind around how baffling people can be! They start off by inviting Pierce Brosnan on the show. Then they wonder how places like Guitar Center, Fry’s and Micro Center are still around?!? Does anyone else remember Bawls? We do! SHOUT OUT!!! Then, very importantly, they invite Daft Punk to submit a cover of the High-Dere theme song! We would be so honored to be able to represent you at the head of every show! They imagine what it’d be like to have to say goodbye to your entire life in a proper way within 24 hours. Would it be easier for the one’s left behind who get to continue on with their familiarity? Or relationships, why can’t people just communicate, and help things flow in and out amicably? And why is there such animosity towards cops? A $400 arbitrary walking violation is why! And yet Joe was still trying to be conversational rather than confrontational. Aren’t police supposed to be there to keep the peace? Like at a peaceful protest? Like the Billion People March. SHOUT OUT!!! Much like their friend Shelby Cook (SHOUT OUT!!!) they have thrust themselves into a world of creativity, under their own steam, and it’s a trip! And that is what makes passions grow. They skip around the garden with Easter a little bit, wondering what it would be like if the story of Christ wasn’t a religious story, but just a story. How would it be interpreted? What if Jesus had a podcast? We ask the really important questions on High-Dere. Cards Against Humanity strategies get shared, and they discuss which half of their bodies they would want to get stuck in amber…all on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
What follows is a bunch of gibberish and out of context quotes, songs and randomness. They bounce around from pronouncing Michael Caine “My Cocaine”, ‘Murica, that scream from The Matrix, Low Latency Mode, then they address that Ian has the hiccups, Vanilla Ice, Kissing boys, making water sounds, some random (and slightly unnerving) screams and moans, calling Houston for help, creating an all new IMAX format, sounding absolutely HAMMERED. Seriously, they sound trashed at points. Mostly because in addition to the filters messing with the sound of their voices in their headphones, but the latency of the filter caused the unexpected side effect of a natural slowing of speech to try and keep things connected between speaking and hearing it back. This causes them to sound as if they are drunker than skunks…but they weren’t! Then they decide to sing. They serenade us with “Stand by Me” in a number of different styles, then move through “Afternoon Delight” “Angel” “Thriller” “This is Halloween” “Lonesome Valley” “I'll be Missing You” and “All About That Bass”, some several times over. The vocal filter styles we could identify are: demon voices, something somewhat regal, children’s voices, Bathroom/Cathedral. That pretty much sums this one up folks. Strap in, or on, or whatever, for this week’s Earthship Radio.
We wander through being Dirty Thirty, the City of Ba’dass, Paul McCartney, Dylan’s career, Chappie, confirming that Rupert Grint is indeed a ginger, Peter Brady’s vocal puberty, the horrible compositing in the last Harry Potter films, Multiplicity, our heartbreak that Zayn left One Direction…and then our derailment to swing back around to Morals, Terrence Mallack and what rights a director has to alter his own work, how it is to be an actor, school busses without seatbelts, car crash videos, cannibalism, creating a TV show from scratch, our favorite characters from Lost, Documentaries, talking Spanglish, Get Hard and HIV Billboards, Bob Ross, a wrestler named Lusion, sexual cooking shows, Oprah’s involvement in Hogwarts, Meatloaf’s singing vibrato, licking things to claim them, Jerry Seinfeld in Bee Movie, "Weird Al” Yankovic, what Joe was doing at 30, the Boo Box, the original lyrics to Madonna’s Material Girl, and our Google search history. We wrap it up by being tainted by Disney and observing that Randy Quaid may have lost it. All, on this 30th episode of High-Dere.
Discussing the anomaly of the Dewey Decimal System in libraries, we fall into a pit of uncertainty of how to interpret art and how artists remember hidden messages in their work, high paid spokespeople such as ‘Flo’ of Progressive and Justin Long of Apple, The Ghostbusters and what the Statue of Liberty is made of, Ian’s fear of heights and how laying next to Michelangelo while he was painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel would be too much to handle and Joe digs through his foggy memory bank of the time he and a childhood friend were caught smoking “marihoochi” (weed) when his mom was suppose to be at work. We also sizzle past topics such as the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber, The battle of Maddie and Fitz, Drive-in movie theaters, How people decide authenticity, Urban legends of intenstines getting sucked out, The miracle of Tiffany Sweeny’s survival, Shooting with film vs. digital, Attending a live event vs. through Twitter, Favorite version of Dracula, Ian’s trip to NYC, What we were doing at 29, The licensing fee of Weird Al covering “Blurred Lines”, Marvin Gaye’s estate, the cost of Disneyland, accidentally killing Tinker Bell, Hook played by Dustin Hoffman vs. Christopher Walken, disappearing planes and why ignorance isn’t bliss. It isn’t’. We wrap Episode 29 like a greasy burrito as to why an open internet is the most important chance humanity has to save itself from immature leadership.
After a night of music, low notes and impressive wire work, we talk about the successful tale of the misunderstood Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba (Jennifer Dinoia), her friendship with Good Witch Galinda (Chandra Lee Schwartz) and the road she went down in order to find her true self. But, because it’s High-Dere, we bounce around from topic to topic, like the diversity of downtown Hollywood, old-lady names (like Glinda and Elphaba), ‘Green Man’ style body suits, the inhabitants of Oz’s rough downtown neighborhoods, garage sales, the most famous face of movie bullies, Biff Tannen, being a part of cinema legend, the oddities of Return to Oz and The Wiz, being known for certain (and sometimes multiple) iconic roles, the moral dilemmas that faced the witches of Oz, the dangers of stealing shoes that aren’t yours, the enigma behind the directional placement of the Hollywood Stars, Judy Garland’s acid trip, and the best burger(s) we’d ever eaten. We wrap it all up by talking about how Joe feels to have come up with 28 impromptu sign-offs (and counting) and how it truly ain’t easy being green. All this on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
We chat about the acting and character preparations of The Dude, the impressive but younger geared Marvel Experience and ICE! exhibits, the funky accent of Bill Murray in St. Vincent, the awe of self-publishing a book, keeping and documenting memories via old-school photos and albums, the versatility and tenacity of our planet, our memories of the library and the fresh inky smell of the books, and the harmful nature of toxins people inhale on a daily basis. ...And as a tenacious treat, we chat about Jack Black in one of his earliest roles. All this, and much more on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
On this very special memorial episode of the show, Ian discusses what it was like to have been influenced by a fairly unexpected person and how he remembers their friendship growing up. From Ian's earliest memories of Walter teaching him how to properly build stage sets and a backyard deck to watching him raise Pyrenees dogs, Ian witnessed Walters battle with cancer, sharing unforgettable moments including their last tangible interactions before his passing and what it means to cherish "life after death" with those who remain in our hearts. We close this weeks show with a song written by Joe, Balloons In The Sky (Matthew), dedicated to his friend Matt and anyone lost much too soon. Song available on iTunes.
Today in the RV, Joe picks Joonbug's brain on the art of driving a stick shift or riding a fixie bike (Olive Oil) around San Francisco, reading the Dr. Bronner's bottle while sitting on the toilet, the latest developments with Joonbug's brands, Fresh Kaufee & Bugs87, how to package a product to fit your brand, the progress of his new mind opening comic, #Beanboy, his Good Morning To You daily drawings, how to get into a creative headspace in order to navigate the creative process, Deep Ellum's growing arts community, supporting artists from a grassroots level, Joonbug's top 3 favorite live shows and the magical origins of their friendship.
Hear us ramble on about the outcome of the 87th Oscars, how it is to put on a live theatre show, the difference between working ON a TV show vs. working for a finishing house, Sodas and the intake of things that poison our bodies, Tiny House Nation (link below), and the things that we’ve learned about ourselves from our still recent moves to the city of angels. We also jump back to hear the outcome of the 3:10 to Yuma story from last week, and leave you hanging about the Academy Award Winning documentary Citizenfour. All this, plus we hear what Joe & Ian were doing at 25, on this week’s episode of High-Dere.
Through an online community (shout out Reddit.com) Ian was lead down a rabbit hole that threw him into passive interactions with people he otherwise would have never know existed, and now they're immortalized in a podcast. He considers what the internet can do for good, and what it can do in a negative way as well. We just have to find our motivations within ourselves. But then again, he IS just speaking to himself in this one. All this and more on this week's Earthship Radio!
This 24th episode brings us to topics such as the casual pace of TV drama, 24, the bizarrely science-fiction based universe of Fringe, how it takes a team to put together iconic pop culture television shows, the desire to build a Millie McCormick bigature, skirting around Carlos Castaneda's spiritual exploration in the Don Juan book series, earning a "trail name" (like Fishdix) while train hopping across the country, the sea of difference and uncanny similarities between the few prominent internet providers, Jeff Bridges' new meditative musical project, Sleeping Tapes, stepping over cauldrons of pizza sauce and learning "How-To-Quit-A-Job-After-Three-Days" from Joe & Ian's worst job experiences ever, how passion and drive affect personal work ethics in the pursuit of happiness, and ultimately why it's important to chase your dreams for the betterment of the world instead of numbly coasting through a mundane life experience. If we all effect each other, why wouldn't we attempt to give you our absolute best? We wrap it all up in a corn tortilla with a recipe (below) for some pretty kick-ass all-veggie tacos from Joe. Who wants to go to bed hungry? Certainly not us! All this and more on today’s episode of High-Dere.
This week in the RV, Ian sits down to scratch the surface of life with former rock guitarist, composer and tour manager to the likes of Eric Clapton, Ozzy Osborne and The Bee Gees: Larry McNeny. From his start in Dallas, Texas, Larry was a typical American Boy Scout who threw the Dallas Morning News to earn spending money and witnessed ferocious tornados that rivaled The Wizard of Oz. At 13 he started a band with a drummer who shared his first name as well as his penchant for embellishing the truth of his musical experience. Larry always wanted rock & roll as a major contributor in his life, which is why rubbing elbows with Alice Cooper, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jack Bruce, while playing an invaluable role in the golden age of the Rock & Roll touring industry seemed like the most natural path for his storied life.Come hear stories of anti-satanic rock operas, random attacks in the street by a group of tweakers, helicopters dropping thousands of pairs of panties on a crowd, and Jay the Hitchhiking Hippie roadie, while we eat baked potatoes and drink cheap sangria. All this, and much more on this jam packed episode of Earthship Radio.Today we officially invited Alice Cooper on the show.Shout out to John Andrew Parks, Big Punks & Road Cases.
Today on High-Dere, Ian & Joe put on some goggles, tuxedos and 10 gallon hats to explore overindulged, overpopulated and overfunded worlds of human behavior. We converse about the overpopulated dairy farm industry, the observance of massacres (and most other major holidays) with sugar-coated addiction and Hallmark cards, recording our show above Tony Stark's underground garage, "Weird Al" receiving a golden #HollywoodHandy at The Grammy's, Chris Gaines and his country side project, Garth Brooks, the ma-jesty of underwater whale birth, bullshit hitting the chopper blades for Brian Williams, the farce that is the entertainment industry’s collective 'award shows’ and finally jump the tracks by reflecting on how often we derail ourselves into a self-conscious mist. And the winner is… everyone who read through this entire description as well as clicked all of the links. We have no awards to give other than this golden show! We love you.
Today on High-Dere, Ian & Joe attempt to discuss the hidden elements of our world that for some reason, the overall public fails to see, at times, even when it's dangling in front of our face. From Congressional mis/dis-information crooks who might as well be black-bagging stacks of our cash, to the probability that we as human beings might not be the only creatures in the galaxies or even in our own solar system. We eventually wrap up the evening with the notion that everything that happens, happens for a reason. Strike that. We wrap up the evening with Joe's out of body experience when he had a finger stuck up his butt…by a doctor at a hospital after flipping in a car that was going 70mph. Checking for “Internal Bleeding”. Don’t worry. There wasn’t any. It’s all for a reason and the answers are all out there for us. We’re not saying we have them here, but we’re ready to journey down that road. Come with us on this weeks episode of High-Dere!
This week in the RV, Joe & Zia contemplate the universe through the open mind of a 9 year old wonder boy in this special report titled, The Meaning Of Life. They discuss the complex majesty of destiny and how it effects every piece of our life experience. Todays thought provoking Earthship Radio is full of inspiration, hope and a reaffirmed faith in humanity that truth and wisdom can be found through the eyes of the youngest of souls. Prepare to stretch your mind!
Today on High-Dere, Ian & Joe discuss what it must be like to grow old and watch the world pass you by while living in a nursing home. Joe talks about the documentary, Alive Inside, that brings to light the mistreatment of older generations living in US retirement systems and the benefits of music therapy to restore lucidity to a mind forgotten. We discuss the challenges of pulling yourself up to accomplish the impossible, such as Dr. Steven Hawking, who proved that humans have an amazing ability to inspire no matter what the obstacle. We wrap up the show with some interesting statistics about three major corporate chains that have made themselves present by feeding off societies addictions they help to cultivate and maintain. The ultimate question: How responsible are we to each other with that which we create? All this and more on this weeks episode of High-Dere.
This week in the RV, Joe & Dylan hack into the feed while discussing the importance of Youtube stars having security at their side to karate chop through hoards of blood thirsty fangirls of Vidcon. We extrapolate upon various curiosities that surround the headspace of a power-tripper and what we can do to help heal the world of all of it's "fangirl" and egotistical problems. Hosts: Joe Moralez & Dylan Roarke
Today on High-Dere, Ian & Joe talk about a ton of important shit. We discuss Martin Luther King and the unfortunate reality of segregation being alive and well around the world, and then we move on to the Academy Awards and how quite a few movies this year presented a very one-of-a-kind view of life and making films along with opinions of Wes Anderson's greatness and our possible predictions for Birdman taking the cake. We also hear how forging a friendship and partnership are ridiculously similar and how communication is a key piece in both of them. And then we finish up hearing how the BBC feels humanity might meet it’s end…either in this decade, or over a millennium from now...or quite possibly before you finish reading this... All this and more on this weeks episode!
Today on High-Dere, Ian and Joe explore their thoughts on perceptions and censorship as it relates to the world around us. We discuss the infinite possibilities of truth and how important it is to be able to observationally navigate through information rather than blindly accepting things as they are presented. But then again, what the hell do we know?
