✨ Welcome, Beloveds!Blessings, beloved. In this special episode, I'm bringing you something truly transformative—wisdom that was delivered to me by my galactic masters. It completely changed my understanding of energy, healing, light work, and even my own identity as a lightworker, empath, and intuitive. For the first time ever, I'm sharing this channeled insight on a podcast platform. This isn't something I learned from a lineage or read in a book—this is pure, revolutionary energy.
✨ Welcome, Beauties!I'm so happy to share this moment with you. After an incredible few days at a beautiful spiritual festival, full of dancing, singing, and deep connection - I've been reflecting on the powerful energies moving through our world right now. This isn't just about the state of the world; it's about the state of the light within our spiritual community.
In this deeply personal and emotional episode of The Big Bark Podcast, host Darragh Bourke honours the life, love, and legacy of his best friend – Milly, his beloved Labrador who passed away earlier this week..Milly wasn't just a pet – she was family. A loyal companion through life's most difficult moments, a hilarious rogue with a heart of gold, and a bright light to everyone she met. From belly rubs with the Munster rugby team, to barking at donkeys, to curling up beside her little sister Roxy on the couch, Milly brought joy, mischief, and unconditional love into every single day.Darragh reflects on nine beautiful years of memories: the walks, the cuddles, the laughs, and even the gin incident in the pub. He shares the story of how Milly helped him and his family through the devastating loss of his brother Shane, and how she continued to look after them until her final moments. This episode also serves as a message to all dog owners: never take a day for granted, and always prioritise your dog's health. Milly passed due to chronic kidney failure — a silent condition that wasn't caught in time. Darragh speaks candidly about the guilt, the grief, and the importance of regular vet checks, hoping to help others avoid the same heartbreak.

Send us a textDANCER IN THE DARK (2000)Broadcasting live from 1964, and entirely in song, this week's very special episode of TGTPTU covers Lars von Trier's sixth film (but only our second of his covered this 4x4): DANCER IN THE DARK (2000). It's been over a hundred episodes, since Season 1's Paint Yer Hereafter ep during our Clint Eastwood coverage, that TGTPTU has covered a musical. Dancer in the Dark, the third entry into Lars von Trier's Golden Heart trilogy, follows LVT's preceding two film both in being shot à la the Dane's handheld style developed during TV show The Kingdom and in their general plot of a woman who sacrifices more than most would believe conscionable. And starring in Dancer as that woman, an immigrant named Selma with diminishing eyesight who takes on extra shifts at the factory and side work to finance her son's secret surgery and slips into worlds of musical fantasy, is Björk. At perhaps the height of her stardom (and somehow choosing to be in a relationship with TGTPTU's previously discussed avant-garde director Matthew Barney), Björk in her first major movie role had a stake in the production and her own interpretation of Selma, which caused friction on set with the notoriously controlling Danish director, but likely contributed to her winning Best Actress at Cannes and the film the Palme d'Or. That friction may have been caused by her taking on an emotionally fraught role, especially in the second half of the film as Selma faces execution for a murder she did not intend for reasons she cannot share or else risk the wellbeing of her son. The situation onset may have also not been helped by alleged events that came out during the #MeToo, which while referenced in the episode can be found more fully here: https://www.nme.com/news/music/bjork-lends-voice-metoo-campaign-detail-sexual-harassment-hands-danish-director-lars-von-trier-2150898 As to that handheld camera style, often held by LVT himself, its digital video and potentially jarring, anti-Hollywood time cuts are complimented with a second camera aesthetic reserved for the musical moments, called “100 cameras.” This technique involved using a hundred stationary DV cameras of lesser quality than the one used for handheld footage. The hope for this multitude of cameras was for them to capture a single take of a performance without different setups. These cameras were remotely operated on ten monitors hardwired with a toggle switch inside a special construction trailer hidden in the background of the shot. Alas, this hope, unrealized, for the capture of movement to allow smoother cutting than the time cuts LVT used for the handhold was not to be. Yet the hundred camera experiment would still allow for a different feel and aesthetic from the handheld footage, especially when their transfer to film used cathode ray tube (verses the sharper laser transfer for main handheld DV camera). So tune in on your home system or your crystal radio on the a.m. dial, close your eyes, and let the dulcet voices of our four hosts' song set against industrial percussion transport you up through your ceiling and into cinema heaven. Grey Hair, Golden Heart #RTTBROS #Nightlight "Gray Hair, Golden Heart: Embracing God's Plan for Your Twilight Years" "The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness." - Proverbs 16:31 (KJV) As we journey through life, the passage of time inevitably leaves its mark upon us. Our bodies may grow weaker, but our spirits can soar ever higher as we draw closer to our Living God. He is abundantly more alive than the most vivacious person we know, and in Him, we find the source of lasting, abundant life. The process of aging is not something to fear or resist, but rather an opportunity to showcase the Lord's transformative power in our lives. While the world may fixate on maintaining youthful appearances, we are called to cultivate an inner aliveness that transcends physical limitations. As we identify more fully with Christ, His life becomes increasingly intertwined with ours. Though our outward form may change, inwardly we grow stronger with each passing year. This inner vitality, born of a close relationship with God, radiates a youthful spirit that defies the number of candles on our birthday cake. Let us not be anxious about the weaknesses of our aging bodies. Instead, view them as a canvas upon which God can display His strength and grace. As we walk in the Light with Him, His life shines through us, illuminating the path for others to follow. In these golden years, we have the precious opportunity to leave a legacy of faith. Our gray hair becomes a crown of glory when coupled with a life lived in righteousness. Let us embrace this season with joy, knowing that our experiences and God-given wisdom are invaluable treasures to share with future generations. Remember, dear ones, that in Christ, we are being renewed day by day. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being strengthened and prepared for eternity. Let us age gracefully, secure in the knowledge that our true home awaits us, where we will be forever young in the presence of our Everlasting Father. Prayer: Lord, help us to embrace the aging process as part of Your divine plan. May we grow in wisdom and grace, leaving a legacy that points others to You. Infuse us with Your strength, that we may shine brightly for You until our last breath. Amen. #AgingGracefully #LegacyOfFaith #GodlyWisdom Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out. https://linktr.ee/rttbros

Journey with us up north to the “Golden Heart of Alaska” as we chat with Terrell Echols, General Manager of the Carlson Center in Fairbanks, Alaska. As you can imagine, there are many differences and exciting challenges with running a venue in Alaska. Terrell tells us about the venue's place in the city and what they aim to provide. In addition to hosting touring events, the Carlson Center also serves as a community center, recreational skating rink, and even home to an indoor playground – which is great on short, cold, winter days, which at one point in the year is only two hours of daylight. Hear how Fairbanks, located in the Tanana Valley, between the hills and the Alaska Range, works closely with Anchorage to make routing shows more attractive to promoters, which is sometimes their biggest challenge. Terrell talks about his history, from growing up in Chicago to following different interests to ultimately getting into sports management at Columbia College. He tells us about his experience with community engagement and how his time working with students who had behavioral issues taught him so much about communication, the importance of listening to people, and how that experience has helped him in his work of making sure their venue is open for everyone, no matter their interests. Enjoy this informative, fun, episode that may inspire you to follow that interesting career opportunity to a new and exciting job.Terrell Echols: LinkedIn | EmailFNSB Carlson Center: Facebook

When Jamaican Prime Minister and leader of the People's National Party, Michael Manley, came to power in 1972, he instituted a series of socialist socio-economic reforms. His domestic policy sent Jamaica's middle and upper classes, whose wealth was widely accumulated during a Colonial age where the poor were exploited, into a panic. The Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church, sensing an opportunity to transfer the elite's wealth into the poor's hands, embarked on a campaign that would help the wealthy move their fortunes outside of the country whilst simultaneously investing that capital into the hands of farmers and workers. With the wealth of the Jamaican elite at their disposal, the church could support local businesses and promote self-reliance, in accordance with Marcus Garvey's principles.Where to find us?yourbrothercast.comlinktr.ee/yourbrothercastCheck out our complimentary content for this episode on our websiteyourbrothercast.com/e4CreditsProduction & post-production: Alan, Benji Anstey, Taylan BulbulTheme Songs: Benji Anstey (guitar), Dan Boshoff (guitar), Dawud Petersen (bass), Nkanyezi Ngwenya (percussion), Conor Hugo (sound engineer), Joshua Riley (mixing and mastering)Visuals and website: Taylan BulbulReggae song: Lawd a Massi by Lou RicardFont (ChemyRetro) by Jay Batch Hosted on Acast. Piper Huguley - 'By Her Own Design' The Not Old Better Show, Author Interview Series Welcome to The Not Old Better Show on radio and podcast. Today's show is brought to you by Talkspace and Athletic Greens. Please support our sponsors and check out our show notes for more information. As part of our Art of Living Author interview series our guest today is best-selling author Piper Huguley. We are especially pleased today that Piper Huguley has graciously agreed to read a passage from her book, so you have that to look forward to, too. Let me tell you briefly about historical fiction author Piper Huguley. Piper Huguley seeks to make new inroads in the publication of historical romance by featuring African American Christian characters. Piper Huguley is a two-time Golden Heart® finalist and is the author of Migrations of the Heart, a three-book series of historical romances set in the early 20th century featuring African American characters. Huguley is also the author of the Home to Milford College series. We are talking today with Piper Huguley about her new book, “By Her Own Design.” “By Her Own Design,” is the incredible untold story of how Ann Lowe, a Black woman, and granddaughter of slaves, rose above personal struggles and racial prejudice to design and create one of America's most famous wedding dresses of all time for Jackie Kennedy. Let's listen as Piper Huguley reads about the main character Ann Lowe from a passage in her book, “By Her Own Design.” That of course is our guest today, author Piper Huguley reading from her new book, “By Her Own Design.” And now, let's talk with Piper Huguley on the Not Old Better Show on radio and podcast. My thanks to best-selling historical fiction author Piper Huguley for her generous time and reading today on the show. My thanks to sponsors Talkspace and Athletic Greens. Chris talks about being thankful for his pre-turkey turkey nap before their Thanksgiving festivities begin, while Deanna makes plans to watch more horrible holiday movies - movies that were made to be heckled. Then Deanna gets super sciency and shares a lot of information on blood and blood types, as well as facts from RedCrossBlood.org on blood donations in the U.S and why donors are so desperately needed. From there, she takes us on a trip to Umina Beach, Australia where we meet a very special man, James Harrison. He has spent a lifetime donating blood for a very specific reason - a reason that will pull at your heartstrings and have you reaching for your Kleenex as you learn why this man and his "talent" not only made him a world record holder, but advanced modern medicine in the most extraordinary of ways as well. There is no denying that he is THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN HEART. (Your blood is needed! There is currently a historically low blood supply. If you are in the U.S., please visit https://www.redcrossblood.org to find a donation center in your area. If you are outside of the U.S., please get in contact with the blood donation organization in your area. I have been privileged to have crossed paths with an inspiring young man with a golden heart. Ethan Fergon is a strong and passionate young man who is an active advocate for rare and chronic health conditions. Ethan had found his purpose and started utilizing social media to share his empowering story about Goldenhar syndrome, connect with others, share other people's inspiring stories, and empower others. Goldenhar syndrome is a rare congenital condition that causes congenital disabilities in newborns. Ethan was born with cleft and lip palate, severe abnormal curvature of the spine known as scoliosis, and was born with part of his jaw missing. Because he couldn't move his jaw, Ethan had difficulties eating and talking, leaving him with years of hospital trips for surgeries. His condition also made it difficult for him to participate in school activities, making him the perfect target for bullies, but Ethan refused to let struggles in life defeat him. Ethan, as a baby, was a warrior then and is a warrior now, not only for himself but also for many others. Ethan uses his struggles and battles in life to inspire other people by sharing his remarkable story. Learn more about Ethan and Goldenhar syndrome by visiting his Instagram page @https://www.Instagram.com/g0ldenhart/ #goldenhar #goldenharsyndrone #warrior #inspiring #empowering
