Vive En Attendant Godard.Vive le Cinéma._________Emission également disponible sur le tube:________TOP PARADE 2022Émission rapido presto best & worst of 2022. linktr.ee/CatchingUpOnCinema *Apologies to Alice Krige, whose name is mispronounced consistently in this episode.* "Kree-Guh," Trevor. It's pronounced, "Kree-Guh." This week, Kyle and Trevor review David Blue Garcia's, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)! The latest entry in the long running series of horror films, TCM 2022 is produced by prolific franchise horror innovator, Fede Alvarez. Set in a new continuity wherein all films subsequent to Tobe Hooper's classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) have been erased from the canon, the film features Mark Burnham donning the skin face mask and butcher's apron of franchise mascot Leatherface, now 50 years older, but no less deadly (or spry) than Gunnar Hansen's original incarnation. Having much more in common with traditional slasher films than the original films more nuanced approach to it's horror/entertainment, TCM 2022 sees Leatherface promoted to full-on “slasher hero” status, wherein we the viewer are meant to cheer the character on rather than dread his next appearance. Drenched in gore, and deeply unsympathetic to the plight of the Gen-Z cattle that are brutally slaughtered during the course of it's 81 minute run time, TCM 2022 is a fine modern slasher that manages the delicate task of remaining earnest with it's grim and fatalistic themes, while still managing to be a colorful and crowd pleasing mainstream horror sequel. While some fans of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre made their way over to Netflix for the new film, the ride or die fans sauntered over to Amazon Prime. Why? Because they have Night Court… featuring John Larroquette. That joke doesn't really land, since he narrated this sequel too, but seriously, you should watch Night Court. This was originally meant to be an episode where the hosts simply talked about movies in their collections that they hated or at the very least disliked. Then Ade popped in to say hi, and we realized that we had all seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre by David Blue Garcia, so we did an episode on it. The director, aside from being the guy in the Eiffel 65 music video, has a very limited resume. If any of you have seen Tejano, please let us know because it is not streaming for free and $3 is a lot of money compared to our numbers on Patreon… eesh… but hey on that topic—did you know we have a Patreon? *nudge nudge* The film must have been well received, because in the weeks since its release, Fede Alvarez was announced to be part of the next Alien installment. If you want to know how iconic that franchise is, keep in mind that I just used a general term for extraterrestrial and you knew exactly what franchise. Let me tell you, no one thinks of Soldier with Kurt Russel whenever you use that word… even if it is in the Blade Runner universe. Seriously, it is. Look it up. This film stars Sarah Yarkin plays Melody. No, she is not a musician from what I can tell. What I mean to say is that she plays the character Melody. Her sister, Lila, is played by Elsie Fisher. Mark Burnham, guy without a Wikipedia page, plays Leatherface. Moe Dunford pays the panty-moistening, Richter, whom Ade and Mikey both had strong feelings for. The Borg Queen, Alice Krige, stops by for a cup of coffee in the movie, delivering a very memorable moment. What did you think of the film? How did it compare to the rest of the sequels, prequels, and requels in the franchise? Pplease let us know at slasherspod@gmail.com. The 1974 horror film, THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE, is arguably one of the most iconic psychological thrillers of all time.  It is considered a classic film in this day and age.  The movie had a supporting character breakout in the iconic villain Leatherface.  Since its original release there has been numerous sequels and even remakes.  Now in 2022, the latest in the series, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (2022), was dropped on Netflix. Lila and her sister Melody follow their friends, Dante and Ruth, travel to an old deserted town that has been bought up by Dante.  His plans are to make it a commune and home to similar progressive thinking people.  When Dante discovers a handful of people that still live in the town, he tries to evict them which leads to a chain reaction that sets off a murder spree reminiscent to the one from the original film in the franchise. The movie is directed by David Blue Garcia from a script by Chris Thomas Devlin.  Fede Alvarez, the director of EVIL DEAD (2013), produces.  The film brings back the iconic  characters of both Leatherface and Sally Hardesty from the original 1974 movie.  Dark Discussions takes a look at this new movie and gives their thoughts.

Texas – check. Chainsaw – check. Massacre – oh, very much so! The film is a sequel to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) and the ninth instalment of the overall franchise – ignoring the events of all of the sequels that between the two films. Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the deranged serial killer whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area's residents - including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who's hell-bent on seeking revenge.

It's here - our FIRST review! We watched Netflix's new Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the 3rd film in history to have that title) as our inaugural movie and some may say it's a doozy. David Blue Garcia's slasher is the latest entry in the long lineage of Texas Chainsaw Massacre films and the series' 4th attempt at a reboot in the 21st century. Trying to capitalize off of other "requels" like Halloween and Scream, this Texas Chainsaw Massacre brings back original Final Girl Sally Hardesty alongside Elsie Fisher (of Eighth Grade fame) and Sarah Yarkin as sisters in a group of influencers trying to gentrify the hometown of one Bubba Sawyer AKA Leatherface. Did we like it? Gotta listen to find out!   **This is our first episode recorded remotely, sorry if there's a dip in audio quality. It won't stay like that in future episodes** - xoxo Gossip Dan   Follow us on Instagram: @movienightmates Follow us on Twitter: @movienightm8s Subscribe to our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEIgHirQmwoK4EW1DRwyRRA   Watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre here: Netflix   Theme: Hope is Not Lost (https://freemusicarchive.org/music/jim-hall/synth-kid-elsewhere/hope-is-not-lost) by Jim Hall (https://freemusicarchive.org/music/jim-hall).

There's never been a shortage of ideas when it came to making more sequels, reboots or remakes of Tobe Hooper's 1974 classic “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” but the latest incarnation didn't start taking shape until 2018 when Legendary Pictures obtained the rights to the iconic horror franchise. Following the success of his “Evil Dead” remake along with the breakout hit “Don't Breathe,” Fede Alvarez got interested in the project and signed on as a producer with newcomer Chris Thomas Devlin handling the script. Production started in Bulgaria in 2020 but the studio was unimpressed by the initial footage so director David Blue Garcia was hired to take over the project. Alvarez eventually revealed details surrounding the plot, which would serve as a direct sequel to the original film, with an older Leatherface being unleashed on a whole new group of people crazy enough to wake him from his murderous slumber….In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we're going to make sure we've got our keys and the power tools are ready to go as we review the 2022 sequel “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”…

Requel to w ostatnich latach jedno z najpopularniejszych zjawisk w filmie grozy, połączenie remake'u z sequelem, najczęściej bezpośrednia kontynuacja pierwszej części z udziałem kilku powracających po latach bohaterów i kilku nowych postaci.

Hey all! Here is the audio from an impromptu video I posted over on my Youtube channel regarding the reaction to the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022.Texas Chainsaw Massacre is an upcoming slasher film, directed by David Blue Garcia, with a screenplay by Chris Thomas Devlin, from an original story co-written by Fede Álvarez and Rodo Sayagues. It is a sequel to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) and the ninth installment of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (TCM) franchise. Picking up several decades after the original film, it focuses on the serial killer Leatherface targeting a group of businessmen and coming into conflict with a vengeful survivor of his previous murders.Let me know your thoughts about this new trailer and if you think this movie will be good or bad!Follow me here - https://linktr.ee/FirstClassHorrorMusic ---- Free- non-profit use. For episode 202 we are joined by friend-of-the-show Eli who was the brains behind the movies we feature. We start off with 2018's "Tejano" from director David Blue Garcia. It takes some familiar crime story tropes and combines them with small town border drama to create a unique look at a world that was entirely alien to the cave dwellers. Beautifully shot and packed with action, we all really liked it. We follow that up with a real masterpiece, 2020's "The Stylist" from director Jill Gevargizian and with a terrific lead performance from Najarra Townsend as a hair stylist with a VERY dark side. A complex tale of the ways humans struggle to relate and interreact combined with harrowing tension, we urge everyone to check it out! Please let us know what you thought of the show, and send us some suggestions for future episodes. You can email us at flickersfrom@yahoo.com or flickersfrom@gmail.com.
