On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon" which celebrates anything related to Charles Band's Empire of Full Moon Pictures, we're going with one of the heavy hitters with our 38th episode and a sequel from what we consider to be the greatest franchises in the Full Moon legacy "TRANCERS 3" from 1992. Written and Directed by C. Courtney Joyner and starring the one and only Tim Thomerson, and co-starring Megan Ward, Helen Hunt, Melanie Smith, Stephen Macht, Andrew Robinson, Telma Hopkins, R.A. Mihailoff, and more. This third chapter in the long running franchise finds our time traveling hero/trancer hunter Jack Deth on the outs with his wife and forced to time jump once again to do what he does best...singe Trancers and be an all around Boss. Join our discussion headed off by our regular hosts Cameron Scott and Full Moon enthusiast Dustin Hubbard as they take a deep dive discussion about the adventures of the The Man himself Jack Deth and his most worthy of sequels as he battles against a whole new breed of Trancers and their leader Col. Daddy Muthuh. Join us! "You know, this could be the beginning of a beautiful... forget it!"
Happy holidays! As a nice bonus we are pleased to present a special episode and longtime listener request where we watch Trancers. Enjoy!

On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon" which celebrates anything related to Charles Band's Empire of Full Moon Pictures, we're going with something a little on the newer side of things with our 36th episode and the 2023 effort "AIMEE: THE VISITOR." Last year we accompanied our Doug Jones Day episode with a review of the cult classic SPOOKIES, featuring an ensemble of characters under siege from an evil sorcerer and his peculiar assortment of supernatural minions. This year we're following a similar pattern, but swapping out the Jay Estate in New York for Castello Di Giove in Italy, a locale that will be familiar to fans of the movies of Charles Band and Empire International Pictures. For our latest episode we're reviewing SPELLCASTER (filmed in 1988, but not released until 1992) from director Rafal Zielinski, featuring Adam Ant, Bunty Baily and KROQ-FM's own Richard Blade. We do start the episode with a bit of sad talk about recent life events for our hosts, but we had a tremendously fun time discussing the movie afterwards and we hope everyone enjoys the episode. If you want to skip over the sad bits, the movie discussion begins around the 13:30 mark. As of this release, the movie is free to stream on both Tubi and the Youtube channel for Full Moon Pictures, and absolutely recommend checking out the movie before listening to this review. And also be sure to see SPOOKIES if you haven't already, as it comes up a LOT in this review and is becoming an oddly integral movie for our pod. The "Dirty Sons of Pitches" are back and ready to sing the praises of the cinematic year that was 1997, primarily with the subversive classic that today's modern fascists confuse as being pro-fascism, "Starship Troopers," and less so the second Full Moon Pictures selection of the 90s, "Hideous!", a movie about rich jerks who collect genetically deformed freaks who then break loose and wreck terror... or should have. Available on Apple and Spotify Episode 402 includes: -Nate is perplexed by the one-half Coen Brother lesbian sex comedy "Drive-Away Dolls." --Ben comes to "Dune Part Two" with some significant praise and some grumbling over extnesive ength. -By the Decade -- 1997 -- "Starship Troopers" / "Hideous!" -"Starship Troopers" is still as aweosme today as it was back then, even more ahead of its time and socially relevant in an age of rising fascism and rightwing forces, and then "Hideous!" is a low-budget creature feature with some promising ideas and a lack of imagination to do anything with them, plus some of the most gratuitous nudity for one poor woman in the cold.

The "Dirty Sons of Pitches" are carrying on through the 1990s examining one year every episode, and this time it's the movies of 1992, with the guys watching Robert Altman's Hollywood satire and career comeback "The Player" and then a schlocky Full Moon Pictures horror movie Ben has always wanted to watch, "Seedpeople." Available on apple and Spotify Episode 395 includes: -R.I.P. Normal Lear, Andre Braugher, but definitely not Henry Kissinger -"Beau is Afraid" sure is... soemthing, and "Saltburn" leaves a bad taste in your mouth. -Behold the tansphobic travesty that is The Daily Wire's sports "comedy" called "Lady Ballers." -By the Decade -- 1992 -- "Seedpeople" / "The Player" -The guys work through their disappointment with both movies, discussing why "Seedpeople" grows tiresome despite some killer creature design, and why the comedy of "The Player" might be too droll or inside-baseball to really land as comedy in our modern day and age.

On this episode we dive deep into the classic Troma title SURF NAZIS MUST DIE. Andy finally watched Miami connection and needed to talk to Marko about it. One of the most famous “so bad it's good” movies featuring ninjas Taekwondo, and a killer soundtrack, this movie captured Andys imagination and heart. Andy reads some listener letters and a weird one about Ball Schools. After MARKO AND ANDY laugh about the amazing Miami Connection, they talk about the Full Moon Pictures universe and then Andy brings the mood down by reminiscing about Six Feet Under. Marko and Andy get excited remembering Breaking Bad and there's tons of spoilers. FINALLY - the return of Mathius the iLL. MCH is back with a fun "tribute" to Alien. This episode we review Full Moon Pictures very own "Creepozoids" from 1987, directed by David DeCoteau. This one was fun to watch. Really low budget and you can see just how low with all of the horrible b-roll, and repeat sets.Linnea Quigley's first crack at producing, and with her as a main character, we get to see LOTS of Linnea Quigley - as per usual.Great practical effects, lots of blood and guts. Come check it out with us!
Episode 200 is a little laid back, and we're watching an old movie. Killjoy, 2000, is a Full Moon Pictures release. So that means we're in schlock territory. On this Tuesday edition of Drive-In Double Feature Nathan and Ryan talk about Trancers from 1984. Directed by Charles Band and this is the podcast's first foray into Full Moon Pictures.
Kevin's goofing off this week at his annual Bostonian Birthday Bash, so we reached out to the one and only (hatless) Jackson Stewart (of Beyond the Gates renown!) to fill in while we chat about three killer classics. Up first! It's Sam Peckinpah's classic revisionist western The Wild Bunch, from 1969! A band of outdated outlaws spill sweat and blood in equal parts into the Mexican desert, and boy has it never looked so danged gorgeous. But will grandpa-skeptic Parker Bowman dig these cowboys? Next up! Clint Eastwood stars and directs (for the first time!) with Play Misty For Me (from 1971)! A suspenseful psychosexual 70s thriller set up in the Big Sur region of Central California, some critics (on this podcast) have noted the bizarre haircuts of the leading actors as worth taking notice of. Finally! Of course, it's 1993's Arcade, because Parker's obsession with VR-based content continues, even when it's produced by Full Moon Pictures. All this plus cutting it up with the boys, vintage wallpapers, a podcaster's fatal fate, the return of Nightmare Fede, a vampiric inquiry, sun-bronzed beach boy (not beach bum) bonanzas, Don Siegel sidebars, bad VR, a check-in with the junkmailers, virtual Kevin, your winning numbers, nerd news and even more! On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon" for our 17th episode we're taking on the grandaddy of them all with the 1989 cult smash "Puppet Master." After all, Full Moon is often considered the House That Puppet Master Built. Directed by David Schmoeller and starring Paul Le Mat, William Hickey and Barbara Crampton; the original Pupper Master is the film that started it all for Full Moon Pictures. It's a tale about a group of psychics that gather in a creepy hotel for a collegues funeral only to be besieged by the murderous and reanimated puppets that prowl the hotels grounds. Puppet Master is a legendary franchise that is the longest running series in Full Moon's history and we're excited to finally be covering the first chapter. Join our hosts Cameron Scott and Dustin Hubbard as they dissect a Full Moon classic that just goes to prove killers come in all sizes. This is the 17th episode in a series of shows all about Charles Band's Full Moon entertainment Empire where we've got mad scientists, sci-fi epics, and rabid clowns all in one place! When you need a break from reality, let our hosts guide you through the madhouse of bloodthirsty vampires, psychopathic cookies, and maniacal puppets. Don't be a squid and join us in the fun!
On this episode we make another dream come true as we fulfill yet ANOTHER fan request! A fine fellow named Ryan S. e-mailed us, and he said:"Definitely a horror comedy film that doesn't get any publicity and is a bit of a hidden 80's gem is 'Munchies'. I think that would be a very good movie to cover for sure. Take care and best of luck fellas! Keep up the good work as I just recently stumbled onto you guys"Well Ryan, we don't just talk the talk, but walk the walk. This episode is for you! Ryan Brookhart has been engulfed in the world of film, art and graphic design for the majority of his career. He served as Editor-in-Chief on two cutting edge - though diametrically opposed - publications: PROVOCATEUR - a magazine that explored art and politics as they relate to the human body and GO FIGURE! - a before-its-time entertainment periodical which used action figure and toy tie-ins to create bold pieces of art.The indie horror film TRACE served as Brookhart's screenwriting and directorial debut. It took a horror story that he wrote 20 years ago and delivered it onto the big screen with updated panache. In 2019 his follow-up, the critically acclaimed ‘Two Ways to Go West' was released. Both films are readily available on almost all digital streaming services including Prime Video, iTunes, Hulu, Tubi and is also available on DVD and BLU-RAY. As an independent designer, Ryan has created over 1,200 pieces of key art and movie campaigns for studios and distributors ranging from small to large including PARAMOUNT, UNIVERSAL, IMAX, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, IMAGE ENTERTAINMENT, ARIZTICAL ENTERTAINMENT and FULL MOON PICTURES. This week we tackle our only PG rated movie this season. We thought it would be awesome since it was distributed by Full Moon Pictures but boy were we wrong. More akin to an extended episode of Goosebumps or Are You Afraid Of The Dark? than an actual horror movie, it has some charm but not enough to be under the Full Moon title.Teenage Space Vampires (1999)Bill, a high school student and avid horror movie fan, witnesses a UFO flying over his town. When the ship lands the next day, Bill and a team from SETI discover that the alien is a strange vampire creature who wants to cast the Earth into darkness so that he and his people can colonize it for themselves. You may already know the name of David DeCoteau, or perhaps you know him under one of his many aliases: Mary Crawford, Julian Breen or the amusingly named Richard “Dick” Chasen. He's directed 100 feature films as of this year, including four of the classic Puppet Master movies, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, Test Tube Teens from the Year 2000, Witchhouse, the Brotherhood franchise, the 1313 franchise and the modern cult classic A Talking Cat!?! And how does he celebrate such a glorious accomplishment? Why, by appearing on The B-Movies Podcast of course! That's right, it's an in-depth interview with B-Movie titan David DeCoteau about his rise to straight-to-video prominence, the foundation of Full Moon Pictures, the rise and fall of Skinemax, the production of the Puppet Master movies, his ratings fiascos with the MPAA, and of course, A Talking Cat!?!, which David DeCoteau reveals was supposed to be outrageous on purpose. He also says that Eric Roberts, the voice of the talking cat, really did perform his entire role in fifteen minutes in his own living room. Because obviously. Why didn't David DeCoteau cast Brad Pitt in one of his early horror movies? You'll find out on The B-Movies Podcast Presents: David DeCoteau! Scotch and Bob take a look at the Alex Nicoloau directed "Zombies vs Strippers" from Full Moon Pictures. The "Dirty Sons of Pitches" are back at a respectable distance and discussing more films of the classic and cult variety, and this week they're discussing the somewhat overshadowed Cold War thriller "Fail Safe" and the 1992 "Doctor Mordid" as a strange artifact of what could have been an early 90s Marvel movie. Available on Spotify and iTunes Episode 262 includes: -Ben introduces the world to "Lil' Humpers" and a TV show about a woman who makes knick-knacks out of animal poop. -AMC declares war on Universal movies while there still is an AMC. -Nate has seen the Columbus indie equal of Neil Breen. See it for yourself, "Constraint" is on Amazon Prime. -Classic Movie -- "Fail Safe" (1964) -The Cold War paranoia thriller from director Sidney Lumet is like a straight version of "Dr. Strangelove" and still very relevant and very well made. -Cult Movie -- "Doctor Mordrid" (1992) -Full Moon Pictures once was going to make a doctor Strange movie. This 90s mess is the aftermath.
Make sure you have your mind-altering substance of choice to abuse if you ever plan on watching the movie we reviewed this week; it's Cemetery High! This is the original cut of the film that was SUPPOSED to be called Assault of the Killer Bimbos, but was so bad they renamed this one and created a completely different movie to not completely waste an amazing title. No cemeteries in this movie, barely a high school, and little to no care in the editing or sound department for this one. Our sketches on this podcast have more time and effort put into them than this piece of crap. Fortunately the worse the movie, the better the episode!

Last week, we discussed dinos coming back from the dead, and to keep the theme going, we're going to move on to alien plants that will either cover you in sticky white stuff, or sticky yellow stuff, then transform you into plant monsters with no legs. It's been a while, but we're back on our Full Moon Pictures grind with 1992's Seedpeople and it's all Scott's fault! The pitch for this movie probably sounded a lot like this: "Invasion of the Body Snatchers is a good movie. Let's do that exact same concept but with a fraction of the budget, a horrendous script, and actors who can't act." And somehow it got greenlit... and that's why we love Full Moon. At least they can say that they didn't make the worst killer plant movie of all time, since that crown rests firmly on M. Night Shyamalan brow. Eat your veggies, or don't, because either way they're going to eat you on this episode of Horror Movie Night!
Greetings creepazoids, and welcome back to Horror Business, the podcast that doesn’t feel pity, it doesn’t feel remorse, it can’t be reasoned with, and it will not stop until you are as just as much an elitist asshole about horror movie as we are. Thank you as always for checking us out and we have got one heck of an episode for you guys. First and foremost we want to give a shoutout to our sponsors over at Lehigh Valley Apparel Creations, the premiere screenprinting company of the Lehigh Valley. Chris Reject and his merry band of miscreants are ready to work with you to bring to life your vision of a tshirt for your business, band, project, or whatever else it is you need represented by a shirt, sweater, pin, or coozy. Or…whatever else you need printed. So head on over to www.xlvacx.com to check them out. Also a huge thanks to friend of the podcast Albert Martin of the Lehigh Valley Horror Facebook group for his unflagging support of this podcast. Without you guys, we are nothing. Thanks! This episode we take a look at two films from Charles Band’s Full Moon Pictures, world renowned for their ability to take a B movie approach and make quality films sometimes. The two films we discuss are 1991’s Subspecies and 1994’s Seed People. We begin by giving a shout out to Chris and LVAC, and then talking about what we’ve seen recently. We talk about the recent Exhumed Films event in Philadelphia we attended, a screening of Killer Klowns From Outer Space and The Deadly Spawn to benefit noted NJ horror aficionado James Harris. We discuss both films and our familiarity with them and James’ recent struggles with cancer. We then briefly talk about Liam’s upcoming fatherhood (he’ll be a dad by the time you hear this) and Liam’s accomplishments (or failures) with the Letterboxd 2017 Cult Movie Challenge. There’s miscellaneous small talk that isn’t reeeally worth detailing, Liam talks about the series ‘Crazy Head’, and Justin makes several weird accusations about D.B. Sweeney and Travis Walton. We discuss how originally this episode was supposed to be an “evil alien” episode on Without Warning and Xtro but because those movies are apparently rare as fuck we skipped on it, and then move on to the actual films of this episode. We give a brief background on Full Moon Productions and Charles Band in general (the varied lineup of the roster, the transition from Empire Pictures, the lack of Barbara Crampton on the Full Moon roster, etc) with a declaration that Empire Pictures is better than Full Moon because no Full Moon film can top From Beyond (note: this is a fact). A brief plot outline of Subspecies is given, and from there we generally rip the movie apart for it’s horrible acting, somehow even more horrible special effects, Angus Scrimm’s puzzling role in this film. Extra sharp venom is hurled at the demons in the movie, which Liam rightfully compares to a shitty video game. The films being shot on location in Romania is briefly praised, but before we get too comfortable giving it credit we go back to trashing the way the characters dress. More halfhearted praise is given to the lead actress but the character of Stefan is trashed for being lackadaisical and boring, and then the character of Radu is ripped apart for being horribly non-intimidating and goofy. A brief retelling of the near screaming match we got into over vampire lore occ...
