In this episode of "Evan the Counselor Live," I have the extraordinary privilege of chatting with a colleague, friend, and a truly inspirational figure – Katie Donovan. Despite my extensive experience in working with families and individuals grappling with addiction, both personally and professionally, it's Katie I turn to when I need deeper insights. Katie isn't just a writer and content creator; she is, most importantly, a mother. Her daughter's battle with severe addiction and mental health challenges has not only shaped her journey but also empowered her to assist thousands of families in crisis. These families, often feeling lost and fearing for their loved ones' lives, have found guidance and hope through Katie's work. What sets Katie apart is her unique, compassionate, and balanced approach to mindfully supporting those precious individuals in our lives who we deeply care for, yet fear for their safety. Her blend of knowledge, experience, and insight is invaluable, making her an indispensable resource in this field. I highly recommend diving into this podcast and immersing yourself in Katie's work. Her wisdom is a beacon for anyone navigating the turbulent waters of addiction and mental health within their family.

In this collaborative reading, acclaimed Irish poets Jane Clarke, Katie Donovan, and Catherine Phil MacCarthy explore how poetry helps us fine-tune our senses and pay attention to the wonders and realities of our threatened world.
The Center for Irish Studies at Villanova University Podcast Series
Poets Catherine Phil MacCarthy, Katie Donovan and Jane Clarke write about an ethos of sustainability in their poetry. Having grown up on farms in Ireland, they share insights on our interactions with the natural world and our place within it. In this podcast Joseph Lennon discusses with them culture's role in spreading an ethos of sustainability and living in harmony with the planet. If the work of the poet is to see clearly, to remember without avoiding pain, and to imagine futures beyond the trials of the present, how does the poet represent climate change and sustainability? We have many solutions to climate change, but one of the greatest challenges lies within ourselves and our will to prioritize climate action and climate care.

2024 is poised to be a year filled with unique challenges and opportunities for contractors in the trades and home services. At the Home Services Freedom Event, I hosted a marketing panel consisting of Eric Thomas - Rival Digital, Dave Carrol - Dope Marketing, Terry Biggs, and Katie Donovan. The panelists unanimously agreed that 2024 is shaping up to be a marketing battlefield. It's a year when contractors, regardless of size, must be prepared to face the upcoming challenges. If you thought 2023 was hard, 2024 might even be more challenging. What should contractors pay the closest attention to in their 2024 plan to secure success? One way to be prepared is to double down on what's already working well in your business. In an era of uncertainty, it's essential to leverage and optimize your existing strengths. Instead of chasing new marketing ideas and services, refine and expand your successful strategies. But the panel graciously shares some actionable marketing tips, particularly for contractors in the $ 0-3 million range who don't have huge marketing budgets. This is an insightful panel discussion that any contractor will find valuable as we head toward an uncertain 2024.Make sure to tune in and get ready for what's ahead. This episode was sponsored by:- Smart AC: https://smartac.com/Key TakeawaysIntro (00:00)Marketing in the trades in 2024 (10:09)Difference between marketing and branding (12:25)What contractors need to do in 2024 (15:03)The customer is the hero, not you (26:23)Get inspired by the competition (29:56)Speed of service matters (32:48)2024 is the year to get creative (37:39)What is a lead and how to attribute it (41:04)Additional Resources ➡️ Schedule a FREE consultation here: https://rynoss.com/contact-us/To The Point Home Services Podcast is a home services podcast that gets to the point!
