(STINGER: WWE) The NXT Women's Tag Team Championships are on the line in a Street Fight. Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart will defend against Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. Also on tonight's NXT a “Falls Count Anywhere” Match between Isaiah SWERVE Scott and Leon Ruff. Plus, Tommaso Ciamp and Timothy Thatcher vs. the Grizzled Young Veterans...and the return of Finn Balor. We're getting a 3-Way match for the Raw Women's Title at WrestleMania Backlash - Rhea Ripley defending against Asuka and Charlotte Flair. WWE had announced it would simply be Ripley vs. Asuka - but during Raw, Charlotte pulled some strings...with Sonya Deville and was added to the match. Charlotte submitted Dana Brooke. Mandy Rose took a few cheap shots at Charlotte after the match. Some familiar faces are returning to Raw. Mansoor was revealed as a new member of the roster last night. He was one of the hottests wrestlers in WWE - riding a 49-match winning streak that dates back to 2019. BUT, Mansoor was put into a match last night, against Sheamus. It was interrupted by Humberto Carrillo...who attacked Sheamus. That's a disqualification WIN for Sheamus...and a LOSS for Mansoor. The streak...is over. There was also a video on last night's Raw hyping up the return of Eva Marie! As promised, we got the return of the Raw Tag Team Champs AJ Styles and Omos last night...and they successfully defended their titles in a WrestleMania rematch against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Lana and Naomi got a shot at the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles - but Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler retained the gold. Baszler submitted Lana. In last night's main event, WWE Champ Bobby Lashley beat Braun Strowman in a non-title match. Strowman was distracted by Drew McIntyre, who was hanging around ringside. After the match, McIntyre laid out both guys. We're getting Lashley vs. McIntyre in another non-title match on next Monday's Raw. Lucha House Party beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Alexander berated Benjamin after the match...and said their tag team is “done”. Angel Garza pinned Drew Gulak with the Wing Clipper. After the match, Garza shoved a rose down the back of Gulak's trunks and kicked him in the rear. Team R-K-Bro beat Elias and Jaxson Ryker...and Damien Priest beat John Morrison. (STINGER: New Japan) It's Day 2 of New Japan's Wrestling Dontaku. This morning's main event is Will Ospreay defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Shingo Takagi. On Monday's Wrestling Dontaku show...Jay White won the NEVER Openweight Champion. He dethroned Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event. White is the first man to hold the IWGP Heavyweight, Intercontinental, United States and NEVER Title. (White Belt Collector) That clip from New Japan's social media. White also challenged David Finlay, who beat White in the New Japan Cup. Also on Monday's show...Taichi defeated Tama Tonga in a Ladder Match - securing the Iron Fingers Of Doom that were hung above the ring. Zack Sabre Jr. beat Tanga Loa. That means Sabre and Taichi will get another shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Titles held by the Guerillas of Destiny. (STINGER: ROH) A title change on Ring Of Honor's weekend TV. Tony Deppen is the new ROH TV Champion. He used a clever pinning combination to take the gold from HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. Also on the show, Flamita snuck in a low blow to pin his former tag partner Bandido. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett beat the Beer City Bruiser and Ken Dixon. After the match, Taven hit Bruiser with a beer bottle. Bennett did not seem to be on board with that. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight's AEW Dark has...the return of Pac, taking on Serpentico. There was an upset on last night's Dark: Elevation. Abadon pinned Ryo Mizunami with her Cemetery Drive finisher. Also last night, Nyla Rose blew through Madi Wrenkowski...and in the main event, Austen & Colten Gunn beat Chaos Project. Jake Lee is the winner of All Japan's Champion Carnival. I'm back with another solo mission to talk about Ring of Honor episode 502! This week's show had three matches: Bandido vs. Flamita, Beer City Bruiser and Ken DIxon vs. OGK, and in the main event, Tony Deppen challenged Tracy Williams for the Television Championship. I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, January 19, 2021. This update is sponsored by IndyWrestling.us. Results from Monday Night's Raw and Ring Of Honor's weekend TV are straight ahead in this update but first… WWE Champion Drew McIntyre announcing Monday he'll be back on Raw NEXT Monday night. McIntyre is quarantining after he tested positive for COVID-19. WWE also promoting Goldberg for next Monday - the final Raw before the Royal Rumble, where Goldberg will challenge McIntyre for the WWE title. Newly declared entrants for the Royal Rumble matches: Jeff Hardy, Peyton Royce and Alexa Bliss. Speaking of Bliss...she scored a BIG win in the main event of last night's Raw - pinning the Raw Women's Champion Asuka. It was a non-title match. Alexa seemingly transformed mid-match into a more evil version of herself...absorbed some powerful strikes from Asuka...and then hit Sister Abigail for the win. As for Randy Orton - one week after Bliss blasted him with a fireball to the face... Orton appeared backstage in a dark room, wearing a mask, at the start of Raw. AJ Styles beat Ricochet after an eye-popping reversal into a Styles Clash. Ricochet was hoping to prove that he deserves a spot in the Royal Rumble. Shayna Baszler tapped out Mandy Rose. Shayna and Nia Jax are NOT getting along. The Hurt Business beat Riddle and the Lucha House Party. Cedrix Alexander and Shelton Benjamin are NOT getting along either. Charlotte Flair submitted Peyton Royce. Ric Flair showed up along with Lacey Evans - who was wearing one of Ric's robes - but their distraction was ineffective. Also, Mace from Retribution beat Xavier Woods. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight's Impact Wrestling has fallout from last Saturday's Hard To Kill pay per view. Plus, Eric Young vs. Rhino...and Kimber Lee & Susan vs. Jordynne Grace & Jazz. Four-time former Knockouts Champion ODB says she's returning to Impact. (ODB Impact Return) ODB speaking with Chris Van Vliet. She said we can expect to see her in Impact “soon”. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight's AEW Dark has 14 matches. Among them, Santana & Ortiz vs. Danny Limelight & Jon Cruz…”Dragon vs. Dinosaur”: Brandon Cutler vs. Luchasaurus...plus, the Lucha Bros. are in action. Bullet Club's Tama Tonga blasting The Elite yet again - and the Bullet Club imagery recently seen on AEW and Impact TV. (Tama Blasts The Elite) That clip from a video tweeted by Tama as he promoted his Tama's Island podcast which is streaming on Twitch tonight. By the way, New Japan is wrapping up three straight days at Korakuen Hall this morning with another Road To The New Beginning show. (STINGER: ROH) Dragon Lee is still the Ring Of Honor TV champion. He survived a tough challenge from Rey Horus on ROH's weekend TV. Also on that show, Flip Gordon pinned Rhett Titus in a Pure Rules. But because he punched Rhett in the face during the match - on top of other past behavior - Flip is now SUSPENDED from the Pure Division. Ring Of Honor's “Week By Week” YouTube show today will have a Gauntlet Match involving students from the ROH Dojo. The winner gets a shot at Jonathan Gresham's Pure Title. It'll be Joe Keys vs. Dante Caballero vs. Ken Dixon vs. Eric Martin. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, January 19. Our next update comes your way tomorrow morning. Please rate, review and be sure to subscribe to this feed, and click that notification bell, so you don't miss a thing. I'm Matt Carlins. Thank YOU for listening.
I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, January 9, 2021. This update is sponsored by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: WWE) Roman Reigns' challenger for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble was decided on Friday night's SmackDown. Are you ready for this? It's gonna be Adam Pearce. The SmackDown authority figure was the sixth and final entrant in a gauntlet match that had seen Shinsuke Nakamura go through Rey Mysterio, King Corbin and Daniel Bryan. But Reigns and Jey Uso arrived to take down both men, and laid Pearce over Nakamura for the pin. Pearce's last match was back in 2014, but he has plenty of credentials from a nearly two decade in-ring career - including five reigns as NWA World Heavyweight Champion between 2007 and 2012. The other big development from SmackDown - NEW tag team champions. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode dethroned the Street Profits by pinning a valiant, but hobbling, Montez Ford for the win. The Profits had held either the SmackDown or Raw tag titles uninterrupted since last March. Big E got through a confusing double pin..and a match restart..before putting away Apollo Crews to retain the Intercontinental Title. But this may not be over. Apollo later demanded a rematch. It appears Sonya Deville's on-air role in her return to WWE TV will be helping Pearce run SmackDown. Don't think Sonya's forgotten about her SummerSlam loss to Mandy Rose. (Sonya New Job) That clip from Friday's SmackDown. Newly announced entrants for the Royal Rumble matches themselves: Bianca Belair, Bayley...and on the men's side: Otis. William Regal announced Friday that some of the first round matches in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will be held on 205 Live. (STINGER: Impact) Impact Wrestling is running its Genesis show tonight. It's an Impact Plus exclusive. The bulk of the action will be in the one-night Super X Cup tournament. First round matches are: Ace Austin vs. Suicide...Daivari vs. Cousin Jake...Crazzy Steve vs. Tre Lamar...and KC Navarro vs. Blake Christian. Also tonight, we'll get Jordynne Grace vs. Jazz...and Moose vs. Willie Mack in an I Quit Match. Maybe we should start calling this “Re-signing Season”. Brian Myers revealed on Twitter Friday that he's signed a new contract with Impact Wrestling. And Ring Of Honor announced the latest in a string of re-signings this week - in the form of Brian Johnson. Four students from the ROH Dojo will compete for the right to challenge Jonathan Gresham for the Pure Title. Joe Keys, Dante Caballero, Ken Dixon and Eric Martin are set for a Gauntlet Match...that will air during ROH's “Week By Week” YouTube show on January 19th. Chris Dickinson made his New Japan Strong debut Friday night. He was the mystery partner for Team Filthy's Tom Lawlor and Danny Limelight in a win over Brody King and the Riegel Twins. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, January 9. Our next update comes your way MONDAY morning, so be sure to subscribe to this feed. This week we have a phone interview with Ken Dixon. If you would like to share your story please email Jason.rankins@parks.ca.gov to set up an interview. Your story can include vocational experience, fond childhood memories of trains or even a passion model train collecting!
You guys, this is the week when we have Chris Jericho on the show. Do we need to explain anything else? I mean, in Week 1 we discussed the crazy week for WWE-including a great SmackDown, the fallout from the Saudi Arabia mess, them actually pulling the trigger on the title change at Crown Jewel and more BUT SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS CHRIS JERICHO IS COMING. In Segment 2 (33:41), AJ was back home to battle Ken Dixon at Primal Conflict Wrestling this weekend. What did that cheating jerk do to that has lead AJ to not even wanting another match against him? Brandon reminds us about Starrcast this weekend at Rams Head Live and we made our picks for AEW Full Gear at Royal Farms Arena AND ALSO IN JUST A COUPLE OF SECONDS IT'S CHRIS JERICHO HOLY HELL. And in Segment 3 (1:08:07), CHRIS JERICHO. It's Chris Jericho. You've heard of him. We talked to him about bubbly, lists, facing Cody at Full Gear, Longhorn Steakhouse and more.
So much to discuss on this week's show-including a huge PPV/House Show coming up Thursday in "Saudi." We made our picks for Crown Jewel, will anything interesting actually happen? And we wrapped Segment 1 by discussing Finn Balor's huge swerve on NXT last week. In Segment 2 (41:12), "The Enforcer" himself Arn Anderson joined us before he comes to Starrcast next weekend at Rams Head Live. We discussed his career, stepping into AEW at All Out, his history in Baltimore, the many uses of "Four Horsemen" in wrestling of late and so much more. After that, AJ joined the show to talk about the Jordan Myles controversy of the last week and how the legitimate issue has somehow been lost in the shuffle. In Segment 3 (1:33:00), Ken Dixon joined the show before he steps into the ring with Fran¢ at Primal Conflict Wrestling Saturday night in Harper's Ferry. Things were...heated.

Episode 148 LIVE From The Armory Wrestling Show This Week On The Show..... We welcome Ken Dixon to the program!!! Ken is a mainstay at MCW and has worked at AML, PCW, PPW, and many others. We call up the Dixon Line Security Company and talk with Ken about his thoughts on professional wrestling, the history of MCW, and the next generation of performers.
