The Miles Doleac-directed musical-comedy-thriller OPEN is now available on streaming platforms. The film's world premiere event will take place at TCL Chinese 6 at Ovation Hollywood (formerly Hollywood & Highland) November 1st, followed by a limited theatrical (Nov. 3) and wide streaming release (Nov. 7). OPEN tells the story of Kristina (Lindsay Anne Williams), a woman in a troubled marriage, who falls for a former TV star and teen heartthrob (Jeremy London), whose previously promising career has collapsed. All the while, Kristina experiences music video-like hallucinations wherein she fronts an 80's new wave band. The script, which brings vibes that scream MARRIAGE STORY meets SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD, was penned by Doleac and Williams. For the film's 10 original songs, Doleac and Williams partnered with longtime collaborator and composer, Clifton Hyde, and Oliver Hofer to create a musical landscape that's sure to delight fans of synth-driven 80's post-punk. The OPEN soundtrack album, which contains both songs and score elements hits streamers and limited-edition vinyl October 13. OPEN stars Lindsay Anne Williams, Jeremy London, Miles Doleac, Elena Sanchez, and William Forsythe. We go to the classroom for this week's show!Ancient history is the subject, and the Ancient Roman Empire puts a finer point to it! The last time Miles Doleac was with us, he brought along the Magnificent Jeremy London to talk about their film Demigod. This time, he returns to the Lounge, and this time is to show off his doctorate in ancient history!A few weeks back the History Channel shows, "Colosseum" & "Crazy Rich Ancients" were mentioned, and Sam remembered Miles was the guy to talk ancient history, so we booked him!We talk about the emperors of the Roman Empire, and how Julius Caesar ranks in the list of rulers. Who was the worst Roman Emperor? Miles not only gives a list of possibilities but also gives excellent reasoning as to why.Was Shakespeare's play "Julius Caesar," close to how things actually played out in history? We talk about Mark Antony, Cleopatra, and Octavius (later known as Augustus). We get into it! Sam took notes on things Miles covered (he's not a real big note-taker that often), so he can go back and dive into things! What's he doing next? He talked about his new movie, "Open," which the release date has not yet been determined (as of 9/6/2022), but will feature Jeremy London, and William Forsythe, among others! Before we signed off, we had to ask him about how he thinks his NFL team of choice will do, this season...? He knows football, too! We chat about our thoughts on the upcoming season. All-in-all, this was a great time! Sam & Richey both IMMENSELY enjoyed learning more in-depth, about the ancient Roman Empire! Matt was out this week due to a prior engagement.SO, it is time! Sit back. Hi everyone! In this episode we sit down with Actor, Writer, Director, Producer, (among many other titles) Miles Doleac, to talk about his latest movie: Demigod. Miles gives us an interesting perspective of what its like to wear the many hats required to get a film from concept to completion while dealing with the myriad of things that can go wrong and derail production. Coupled with navigating all of this during the height of the Covid pandemic,  you realize just how challenging film making can be at times. Welcome to “The Magnificent Jeremy London Takes Over the 500 Section Lounge!” That's right, actor Jeremy London joins the guys this week! Along with Jeremy, Miles Doleac joined the show! Miles is an actor who wrote, produced, directed, and acted in the movie DEMIGOD (out in select theaters & On Demand, October 15th), talked about wearing the different hats of movie production. From the start of the show, Miles and Jeremy are at peak form! Jeremy asks Miles a question and then apologizes for taking over the show. Sam and Little Matt have NO ISSUE with him doing so! The guys talk about beard acting, and lack of sleep from having a baby! The topic of Jeremy in “Mallrats” comes up and the guys talk about different methods of directing, and how the process looks completely different from one director to another! Sam brings up the ease of seeing Jeremy in DEMIGOD, and the topic goes to “losing” the actor and “finding” the character of a part. Jeremy talks about trying to prepare young actors, at his acting school, he instills the importance of certain aspects of acting, to keep growing as actors. Little Matt brings up the difficulties and differences in the movie world of a pandemic. Miles expands on how difficult it was, but that the world is in need of content, so if it can be created, it will be seen. They talk about how the cast of a movie grows to be part of a family, and how they both felt safer on the set compared to other places. Miles' educational accomplishments come up, and the group talks to him about having a doctorate in Ancient History. Miles shares that he does fall back on that education to incorporate historical elements into his films! Richey joins the party late, but throws in a question that gets everyone going… What's your favorite superhero? The answers were not unusual, but Jeremy states he didn't know a certain person, when on the set of Mallrats. It's a great show! So, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!DEMIGOD is out in select theaters and on-demand, on October 15th! On this week's episode of BEHIND THE LENS we take a look at two films – one steeped in the past and the other, set in present-day but affected by a past centuries old. Take a listen as POTSY PONCIROLI talks OLD HENRY and MILES DOLEAC talks DEMIGOD. First up, my prerecorded exclusive interview with writer/director POTSY PONCIROLI talking about his new film, OLD HENRY. Set in 1906, this is the story of an old farmer who has seen better days, days long buried. But what happens when Henry gives aid to an injured man and a gun-toting posse shows up at his door? Patient and pot-boiling, this is a film you should see and interview you should hear! Listen as Potsy talks about the story, casting, the importance of location and how it influenced the script and story, production design including build-out to the 100-year old house used as Henry's farm and accompanying period set-dress, cinematography and working with John Matysiak, Jamie Kirkpatrick's editing and finding the right build of tension, working with pigs and horses and altering the script to accommodate the equine moods, Jordan Lehning's score, and more. Then listen to MILES DOLEAC who joins us live talking about his latest film, DEMIGOD! Melding his passions for history and mythological lore into visual tapestries that are often blood-soaked and visceral, DEMIGOD takes us into the Black Forest of Germany and the legend of the god Cernunnos. Diving into the legend of Cernunnos as a starting point for this story, Miles talks about "tweaks" to Cernunnos for storytelling purposes, developing the story structure and build of witches and characters alike, casting, cinematography and using anamorphic lenses to capture specific lens flares, shooting during pandemic lockdown in the wilderness area of Little Black Creek in Mississippi and how the isolation of the cast and crew worked to the film's advantage, Lindsay Anne Williams costuming, developing visual tonal bandwidth and rooting the visuals in nature, sound design and mix with attention to ambient sound, musical influences from chorale to Brian May that were melded together by composer Clifton Hyde to create a haunting, "earthy" score, and more. http://eliasentertainmentnetwork.com

Eight years ago, Father Colin Hampstead oversaw an aborted exorcism that resulted in the gruesome death of seventeen-year-old Jewel Grant, in rural Louisiana. The deceased girl’s older sister, Kayleigh, grew immediately attached to Hampstead and sought him out, at first for grief counseling and then, for much more. Eight years later, Hampstead has left the priesthood and become a celebrated fiction writer, specializing in stories about the occult, and he and Kayleigh, now his wife, have a beautiful daughter and run a well-known bed and breakfast in Savannah, GA. When the couple agrees to host a wedding for one of Colin’s college friends, what begins as a Big Chill-type reunion turns into something much more macabre, as the seemingly omnipresent ghost of her dead sister Jewel compels Kayleigh to engage in bizarre, destructive behaviors that endanger the lives of both her friends and herself. Take some time this week to remember your original happy hour: Saturday mornings as a kid, waking up at dawn, jumping on the couch with a bowl of chocolate cereal, turning on the ‘toons, tuning out the outside world, and working your way into a sugar hangover before noon. We're back with a brand new That One Guy episode! And, as if that weren't enough, writer/director Miles Doleac joins us to talk all about the star of his movie The Hollow, the immaculate Mr. William Sadler who's IMDB credits runs as long as a 1990’s Steven Seagal ponytail. You know, he’s that one guy from Shawshank Redemption, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, Machete Kills, Roswell, The Green Mile, Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Hell, this is “That One Guy” who fought both Steven Seagal’s squint in Hard to Kill and John McClain’s receding hairline in Die Hard 2 Die Harder. Is it actually possible to make the argument that William Sadler’s Colonel Stuart was a better foil to John McClain than the late great Alan Rickman’s Hans Gruber? Marke is sure gonna try. Plus, gaze in marvel at the sound of a grown man recalling -- on the spot and almost dead on accurate after 20 years! -- the entire plot of the 1990 Kelly Le Brock vehicle Hard to Kill. If you want to know how this turns out, finish your naked tai chi, throw on some socks and prepare to have them knocked off - Saturday Morning Cereal is going LIVE! This weeks episode is sponsored by INTO THE BADLANDS: Season 1, available now on Blu-Ray & DVD. Set in a world centuries from now, “Into the Badlands: The Complete First Season” focused on the spiritual journey of Sunny (Wu) and M.K. (Aramis Knight), a teenage boy who harbors a unique ability, and their growing relationship as teacher and student.
