First of all, I'd like to point out that it was an absolute pleasure and honor speaking to sitting down with her and just getting to know her better and covering all the movies where she performed stunts in was amazing. That's right, if I could sum it up in one word, it would be AMAZING! Getting to know what type of movie Bone Face is, I am literally counting down the days until it is released in January. Elena stars alongside Jeremy London in the upcoming ‘Who-Dunnit' murder/mystery. Also, I'd like to add that Elena is very talented! Just look at all the movies she has starred in and performed stunts in. It's quite obvious as to why Elena was chosen for this role and as to why directors keep choosing her. Be sure to add the movie to your watch list, it becomes available January 21st.
Jeremy London's performance aside, Mallrats is still a lot of fun. We revisit Kevin Smith's second movie which takes his style and puts a comicbook lens over it. Jason Lee's breakout performance is really what puts this movie on the map and keeps it there, though we reflect fondly on classic bits from Jay and Silent Bob too. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women and this risk increases after the menopause, and a woman's risk of heart attack is around five times higher after the menopause than before*. Joining Louise on this week's podcast is Dr Jeremy London, a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon based in the US, to discuss heart health, hormones and menopause. They discuss the role of oestrogen in reducing inflammation in the body, why women typically present with different heart attack symptoms compared to men – and the signs to look out for – and the crucial role of nutrition and exercise in maintaining good heart health. Finally, Dr London shares his top three tips on what women (and men!) can do to help their future cardiac health: Don't smoke: it is the single worst thing you can do for your health in general. From a cardiac standpoint, from a blood vessel standpoint, for the risk of lung cancer. Nutrition: avoid processed foods and eat real, whole foods. Exercise and recovery: look to incorporate resistance training and some aerobic training, and don't forget about recovery and prioritising sleep. *El Khoudary, S.R. et al. (2020), Boardman, H. et al. T.S. (Jeremy London) and his best friend, Brodie (Jason Lee), take a trip to the mall after their girlfriends break up with them. T.S.'s girlfriend, Brandi (Claire Forlani), is participating in a dating game show at the mall, which was the initial cause of their breakup. Meanwhile, Brodie's ex, Rene (Shannen Doherty), has begun dating sleazy store manager Shannon (Ben Affleck). T.S. and Brodie seek out ways to ruin the game show, hunted all the while by Brandi's father, Jared (Michael Rooker).

Today, we explore the tension between commercial and creative objectives, and what we can learn from a culinary entrepreneur preparing for his third act. Does the owner's box need a creative tension between commerce and creativity? Without the constraints of commerce, the creative impulse can easily become unbounded from market potential. But lacking imagination, do we merely replicate previous successes, with all restaurants looking like carbon copies of surefire but vanilla hits, and all films becoming superhero replicas? Tune in to hear Jeremy King talk this through in his experience transforming the London restaurant scene.
I was sort of in the virtual presence of excellence with the legendary actress Susan Lanier from Wes Craven's “The Hills Have Eyes” (1977). I must admit that I was star-struck (again) and I am not sure why I keep having that issue. However, it was an absolute honor and pleasure to speak to her about her role in the classic horror. Talking to her about her past and current roles was nothing but enlightening; talking about some behind-the-scenes secrets and how hard it was to film in the desert despite the hot and cold conditions. As austere as the environment can be, she sure as hell pulled it off, which makes me respect her a whole lot more. Susan and I also discussed how to be a successful actress; you have to give it all, your 100% in order to make yourself stand out. In my opinion, I can tell by an actor's body language if they want to be there or not. Any budding actors out there need to listen to Susan's advice. Make sure to follow Susan on social media, Facebook and Instagram. She also acts in the movie Black Mass alongside Lisa Wilcox, Jeremy London, Lew Temple, Devanny Pinn, and a lot more renowned actors. There is a movie in post-production called “The Boatyard” that she also stars in, be sure to check out the trailer and support Susan. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/southjerseyhorror/message
Anything goes on a fifth Wednesday, so in this episode, Justin and Jim look back at a blast from their pasts — Kevin Smith's comics-reference-heavy 1995 movie Mallrats — but arrive at somewhat different assessments about how it plays today. Along the way, they discuss what it meant to name-drop Wolverine in a Hollywood motion picture back in the '90s, the comics-style shared universe Smith's films existed in, the implications of the Stan Lee cameo, Jeremy London and Jason Lee's differing approaches to performing non-naturalistic dialogue, and much more.

Our hosts get a contact high discussing Richard Linklater's 1993 masterpiece, "Dazed and Confused." While Barry grooves to the sights and sounds of this definitive 1970's high school time capsule, Julia is less impressed. Barry owns up to what he did on the night of his high school graduation and explains the difference between Jason and Jeremy London.
It isn't long after the titular babysitter (Alicia Silverstone) arrives at the home of the Tucker family that things go awry. Dad (J.T. Walsh) ogles her the moment she passes the threshold. Mom (Lee Garlington) shows her dissatisfaction with both her marriage and family, as the kids tease one another across the dinner table. Elsewhere, Mark (Nicky Katt) devises how he's going to make this Friday night a little more memorable, and he plans on taking the babysitter's boyfriend (Jeremy London) along for the ride. THE BABYSITTER is another failure that never developed a cult following in the years since its release, but it has remained one of my favorite Alicia Silverstone movies. With an ensemble of complex characters (and starring veteran actors George Segal, Lois Chiles, and including a cameo by A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4's Tuesday Knight), it's an intricate story which often blurs the line between fantasy and reality, and shows just how far some are willing to go to find happiness, what ever their definition of the word may be. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/blindragepod/message

Top o' the mornin' to ya! We hope you've got your green on because it's our annual St. Patrick's Day episode, highlighting horror films from the Emerald Isle! This episode is filled with bad accents and fueled by Irish whiskey. Before we get to the pot o' gold, though, we've gotta travel down the rainbow known as Horror Business. Up first is Real World Horror, all about a "terrifying" ghost train barrelling through a town in London the UK. Up next we discuss Jeremy London returning to films and making his horror debut with the film Bone Face, as well as Guillermo Del Toro making his own version of a classic monster, the return of Slasher, and a remake of a controversial film from the 70s. We close out the segment with a story about a card game based on John Carpenter's classic film They Live. We then head to the motherland for our film reviews. Up first is the 2023 film Unwelcome, featuring trolls or goblins or leprechauns or little green ghouls. Whatever they are, they're nasty lil' buggers. We then discuss the 2021 film You Are Not My Mother, about a young girl and a creature who may or may not be her mother (hint: the name of the film). So grab a pint or a shot or both and get ready to party with the Grave Plot Podcast!

We go to the classroom for this week's show!Ancient history is the subject, and the Ancient Roman Empire puts a finer point to it! The last time Miles Doleac was with us, he brought along the Magnificent Jeremy London to talk about their film Demigod. This time, he returns to the Lounge, and this time is to show off his doctorate in ancient history!A few weeks back the History Channel shows, "Colosseum" & "Crazy Rich Ancients" were mentioned, and Sam remembered Miles was the guy to talk ancient history, so we booked him!We talk about the emperors of the Roman Empire, and how Julius Caesar ranks in the list of rulers. Who was the worst Roman Emperor? Miles not only gives a list of possibilities but also gives excellent reasoning as to why.Was Shakespeare's play "Julius Caesar," close to how things actually played out in history? We talk about Mark Antony, Cleopatra, and Octavius (later known as Augustus). We get into it! Sam took notes on things Miles covered (he's not a real big note-taker that often), so he can go back and dive into things! What's he doing next? He talked about his new movie, "Open," which the release date has not yet been determined (as of 9/6/2022), but will feature Jeremy London, and William Forsythe, among others! Before we signed off, we had to ask him about how he thinks his NFL team of choice will do, this season...? He knows football, too! We chat about our thoughts on the upcoming season. All-in-all, this was a great time! Sam & Richey both IMMENSELY enjoyed learning more in-depth, about the ancient Roman Empire! Matt was out this week due to a prior engagement.SO, it is time! Sit back. Relax, and enjoy our class time with Miles Doleac!Follow Miles on social media to stay on top of his goings-on!Follow us on social media, and find us at oddpodsmedia.com along with the entire #OddPodsMedia #Family of shows!

In January 2020, Smith revealed that development on a sequel film has started again, this time under the title Twilight of the Mallrats. First time you saw the movie? Plot:The film opens at the Governors Ball, the Gov emerges, drunk. Jared Svenning approaches her about some money he was promised, he tells her about his tv station, the one that draws the lotto numbers, and how they're putting on a live show this weekend from the mall. The camera pans up to Brandi stargazing, trying to finish a paper, when TS finds her, and asks if shes coming to watch his last performance. As they part, looking forward to a Florida trip, Brandi tells TS shes helping her father with a tv dating game, so she can't go with him. Brandis hair gets caught in the trigger, prompting security to return fire. They realize its Svennings daughter, and the governor tears up his check. TS tries to apologize, and Svenning tells him off. Brandi breaks up with him, even after he says he was going to propose in Florida. Cut to intro credits. Brodie is woken up by Rene, they argue about breakfast, and Rene confesses that she cries in the bathroom, Brodie asks why, (SOUND 1)C. As she exits his room, so his mom doesn't see her, she breaks up with him. TS arrives to Brodies with the press close behind. The commiserate being dumped by their women. Brodie thinks he was dumped because he farted when Rene was going down on him the week prior, then he suggests going to the mall. They head to Brandis house, but the press are waiting, so Brodie runs interference and tells some wild stories about satanic masses and goat sex...Trey, does it remind you of Fraternity initiation? As Brandi and TS attempt to make up, he becomes super possessive and she pulls away again. Svenning is caught naked, and chases everyone away. They finally arrive at the mall, with Brodie giving TS some hard truths. S:-TS calling her stupid science major... Mmmm... Nah.-Ever fart on a girl going down on you?-TS just tries to "forget about" what happened...-Rooker doing the boxing in the mirror... Def see "stump" when the towel falls. Never noticed that before...-I also don't remember the musket in the hair thing As they enter the mall, Brodie is bumped into by Shannon, the manager of fashionable male. Tense words are exchanged, and they carry on, to find a stage being built. Looking for answers, they ask Willam, who is trying to see a magic eye poster (SOUND 2), but he informs them the stage is for Svennings show. Brodie suggests sabotaging the show/stage, enter Jay and Silent Bob (SOUND 3). They agree to wreak havoc by removing one critical cross beam, while trying to avoid Mall Cop LaFlours. Willam looses his shit when a little girl sees a schooner (SOUND 4)...followed by Brodie explainning how Superman would, or wouldn't be able to have sex with women (SOUND 5)...then if the cookie shack is part of the food court (which it's not). Brodie approaches Rene and gets set straight. Jay and Silent Bob attempt their first plan, (SOUND 6) which is derailed by a kids wooden toy and Bob crashes into the womens change room. After a weird segue, Brodie and TS meet Trisha who is 15 and writing a book about the Sexual drive of men 18-30...and it's revealed she slept with Shannon, and 49 other dudes, like Tucker, while Brodie can't let go of the kid on the escalator. Trying to get into the comic shop, and he almost starts a fight, finally finding out Stan Lee is signing comics. Jay and Silent Bob try plan #2, with Bob flying through the air, over LaFlours...but missing the pin and crashing into another womens change room. TS and Brodie commiserate again about Stan Lee and being broken up with, when Jay and Silent Bob hide from LaFlours, and give up on trashing the stage... when they see Rene with Shannon. TS runs interferance, and Brodie takes her in the elevator, so they can scream and argue at each other, when she attacks his libedo, and they have sex in the elevator... Which doesn't change anything, and she calls his dick small. Gwen surprises TS, and he elbows her in the tit, telling him she saw Brandi by the stage. He goes and to confronts Svenning, who admits he did want them to break up. TS, Brodie and Gwen share some exposition, and history, with Brodie using where to put your arm when you sleep with someone as a metaphor for his relationship with Rene. Brodie goes to get a drink, and Shannon grabs him, and kicks the shit out of him, eventually telling him his plan of banging her somewhere very uncomfortable, like the back of a Volkswagon, Brodie agrees to leave her alone, and Shanon leaves...without leaving him $20. m S:-Were ya'll able to do the magic eye posters?-They use a LOT of words and don't say anything.-Weirdest place you've ever had sex?-Anyone else think its gross she tries on panties like that?-Whichever version I'm watching, there are a lot of differences, and the beating went MUCH longer than I remember. TS and Gwen find Brodie, who blames the easter bunny for kicking his ass. Jay and Silent Bob then go assault the easter bunny, with the kids joining in. Gwen goes and tells Brandi TS is there and that he's a great guy. Svennings assistant comes to fetch TS, and Brodie suggests TS stink palm him, using his own hand as an example. TS speaks with Svenning, which he's obviously is stalling for time, and takes issue when TS mentions marrying Brandi, he tells a bit about their history, her mother being 15, himself 14 when she was born. Explaining to him how and why TS will not marry his daughter because of her bright future, and that he has no ambition, no chance of making it, and he will not be marrying his daughter. Brodie arrives, and applies said stink palm, even giving some chocolate covered pretzels, which he greedily eats. Security pounces on the boys, and takes him away, with Svenning keeping the pretzels... As the security guards drag TS and Brodie, they yell at Renae to get Jay and Silent Bob, who she finds with Willam staring at the magic eye, setting up one of the best jokes in the movie, when Willam looks at Rene and says, "Brenda?" Jay and Silent Bob rescue Brodie and TS from security, and then grapple hook to safety. Brodie and TS hide at the 'dirt mall' and go to get some sage advice from Ivana, the topless palm reader. TS is totally against the topless reading, but Brodie is into it... Until she takes off her top, and they switch. Brodie is grossed out, and TS becomes enamored. As they leave, she peels of the thrid nipple and eats it. They return to the mall, with his plan to get on the tv show. TS approaches Jay and Silent Bob for help. Brodie is oogling some lingerie, when he's approached by Stan Lee. S:-I remember the stink palm, but have any of y'all ever done it? Jay approaches the contestants to smoke them out. Brodie is asking Stan Lee all sorts inappropriate questions about super heros dicks, and like Tucker, was disappointed when he wouldn't tell (SOUND 6.5). Stan talks with him about relationships and women, which Stan had a running count with Mick Jagger, and that he was ahead. He gives Brodie a long story about the one that got away, and how he'd give everything up for one more day with her (SOUND 7). He leaves, and Brodie takes off. TS thanks Stan for talking to Brodie, who has gotten Silent Bob and Trisha to help him. TS and Brodie take the place of the two suiters Jay smoked out. Svenning barfs when he sees TS and Brodie on the stage. Brandi comes on stage (like I've done once or twice), and starts asking questions to the suiters, with some fairly funny responses(SOUND 8). Brodie continues make fun of every answer Gil makes, making everyone laugh, and infuriating Svenning. They continue, when Brodie tells a story about his uncle started beating off on an airplane when they think they're going to die. Brandi figures out TS and Brodie are on the stage, and they have their confrontation. Brodie eloquently sums everything up (SOUND 9) Everyone applauds, except Gill and Svenning. Outside, the police arrives. Stan Lee walks by Willam commenting, "oh, a sailboat" sending Willam on a rage. As the host is wrapping up the show, and Brodie confesses his love for Rene, and Shannon starts to come at him to beat him again, Silent Bob is trying to reach the tape that was dropped, as Willam laments about not seeing the sail boat, Brodie calls on Silent Bob, who can't reach the tape, Willam hits the support, knocking the tape in to Bobs hands as he was trying to jedi mind trick it, with a look directly at the camera, he plays the tape of Shannon banging Trisha, and the cops arrest him. The cops allow one punch to the gut... Is that a California law? I know in Alabama we get WAY more punches before and after being arrested, right Tucker? Jay asks Bob how the got the tape, with the Jedi mind trick, prompting Bobs only line: "Adventure, excitement, a Jedi craves not these things." Brodie and Rene make up. Svenning is trying to convince the network guys to give him another shot, that they decline, but want Brodie for a network talk show host. Svenning is arrested for FCC violations... As it ends, Brodie has taken over hosting duties of the Tonight Show, but still lives with his parents. Rene became his band leader, Svenning got his network position, in prison. TS and Brandi got married when Jaws pops out of the water at Universal Studios, Tricias book spent 72 weeks on the new york times best seller list, with a movie coming out (with LaFlours running her security, and probably a few trains). Shannon made new friends in prison, and Willam eventually saw the boat, Jay and Silent Bob is a whole different story... roll credits. Loses something over the years. It's juvenile and obviously unrealistic. Not really ever having watch a ton of Kevin Smith movies or the View Askew-niverse movies, I found this one the most relatable and fun as a kid, because we all liked to go to the mall. But it dates itself, and not well. Web: https://theguysreview.simplecast.com/EM: theguysreviewpod@gmail.comIG: @TheGuysReviewPodTW: @The_GuysReviewFB: https://facebook.com/TheGuysReviewPod/

Having to follow up from the breakout success of Clerks, Kevin Smith had a tall order on his hands. Or dare we say, a mall order on his hands? (Bad joke.) Smith's second feature was received poorly by critics, but its unique cinematic display of mall culture and the ultimate 90s time capsule he created leaves your hosts to wonder if this film is a great nostalgic blast from the past... or a true victory for dialogue driven films? Lets just say there's some disagreements. Snoochie boochies forever, though. Follow The Shiterion Collection!
