Hour 1: Boomer showed up in a Casamigos baseball jersey as he and Gio were supposed to wear them together. Gio did not wear his because Boomer told him he never received him. Boomer watched the HR Derby last night because he wanted to see Pete Alonso. Boomer watched a Netflix documentary about Wham. The Yankees hired Sean Casey as their new hitting coach. Both Boomer & Gio know Sean and said he is a great presence and changes the mood of a room when he walks in it. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with Vlad Jr winning the HR Derby last night and he seemed really into winning. Pete Alonso lost in the first round to Julio Rodriguez of the Mariners. Gerrit Cole will start the All Star Game tonight. A-Rod had a plan for the Angels to win a World Series in 5 years. Zach Gelb got hung up on by Deebo Samuel. In the final segment of the hour, new Yankees hitting coach Sean Casey has a lot of accolades such as the Irish-American Baseball Hall of Fame. Boomer wonders if we have ever been ‘in the zone' while playing competitive sports. Boomer gives us a few examples of when he was in the zone playing QB in the NFL. Hour 2: Pat Fitzgerald was fired from Northwestern after allegations of hazing. Fitzgerald has hired a high priced attorney to fight this as he claims he was unaware of the hazing. Boomer had a lot of good things to say about Fitzgerald. Boomer talked to some parents of kids who played for Fitzgerald and they are all supporting the coach. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the strike zone technology in the MLB Futures Game. Jerry loved it. Gerrit Cole will start tonight for the A.L. and talked about adjusting to life in NY. Smith talked about marriage and Kevin Costner's divorce situation. 74 year old Gregg Popovich just signed a new 5-year deal. In the final segment of the hour, the NY Times reassigned all of their sports people and are now just relying on The Athletic. In the final segment of the hour, the job post for Shaun Morash's CBS Sports Radio job shows salary range. Hour 4: The deadline for Saquon Barkley to sign a new deal with the Giants is quickly approaching. If he doesn't sign a new deal he has two options: Play on the Franchise Tag or sit out, which nobody thinks he will do. The Blazers are also saying that the Damian Lillard deal could take months. Neither team has to do what the player wants here. How much better are the Giants with Saquon than without him? We also talked about Dalvin Cook and the Jets, but he wants to go to Miami. Jim Dolan got his way and signed a 10 year extension to keep MSG where it is right now. Jerry returns for his final update but first Gio tells us he was caught in a ‘sea of moms' when he went to pick up his daughter from dancing class. Gerrit Cole will start the All Star Game tonight and he's excited about it. A-Rod has a plan for the Angels to win a World Series in 5-years. Julio Rodriguez set a Derby record with 41 HRs in the first round. Damian Lillard wants to go to Miami but the Blazers GM said it has to be good for Portland. Jerry challenges Eddie to find some drops and he has no problem. In the final segment of the show, Gio watched a Netflix documentary about the TV show, American Gladiators. Gio said everything ends with people doing coke and banging each other. Boomer watched the documentary about Pepsi giving away a carrier jet. Gio wonders if people knew the risk of steroids while they were taking them.
