Hour 1 1:12 - One More Year for Wagner? 21:18 - Should the Commanders Re-sign Bobby Wagner This Offseason? 37:13 - Mel Kiper Jr. Mocks LB Sonny Styles to the Commanders
Future Hall of Famer Bobby Wagner announced his intention to return for Year 15 — and now the big question in Washington is simple: should the Commanders bring him back? Doc Walker and Anthony both say yes… but with different visions. Doc believes Wagner's leadership, football IQ, and command of the defense are too valuable to let walk — especially for a unit still finding its identity. However, Doc wants to see Wagner in a more limited, situational role to keep him fresh and maximize his impact across a full season. Anthony sees it differently. He believes the new defensive scheme fits Wagner perfectly and could allow him to remain an every-down presence. In Anthony's eyes, Wagner's instincts and processing ability still make him one of the smartest linebackers in the league — and in the right system, that matters more than raw speed.
Lately, I've been seeing a TON of retirement planning content telling people:"Don't work another year. Retire now. You're wasting time."And honestly… as a retirement-focused financial planner, that message kind of rubs me the wrong way.Not because it's always wrong… but because I think there's an angle behind it.In today's episode, we break down what One More Year Syndrome really is, why it's become such a popular retirement planning trend on YouTube and podcasts, and why you may want to take this advice seriously… but also why you might need to take it with a grain of salt.Because retirement isn't just about sitting on the beach 7 days a week.Retirement should be about purpose, meaning, freedom, and using your time, talents, and treasure in the way that matters most.I also share a powerful story from a recent conversation with a prospective client who reached out after losing three of his closest friends last year, and how that kind of wake-up call can completely change the way you think about retirement timing. At the end of this episode, I give you 3 questions to ask yourself to determine whether you're truly delaying retirement for financial reasons… or if you're simply afraid of stepping into the unknown. If you're in your 50s or early 60s, have saved $1M+ for retirement, and you're wondering whether you should retire now or work longer, this episode is for you. ✅ Questions Covered In This Episode:Should I retire now or work one more year?Is One More Year Syndrome real? How do I know if I'm financially ready to retire? How do I find purpose after retirement? What if I retire too early? What if I wait too long and regret it? ⛳ PFR Nation (Who This Is For)If you're over 50, have saved seven figures (or multiple seven figures), love golf and travel, and you want to make work optional while minimizing taxes… welcome to the right place.

A new year brings mixed emotions. Relief. Gratitude. Exhaustion. Hope. As we stepped into this season, Pastor Nicole offers a simpler invitation: one more year. And with that invitation, we will push back against hustle culture and spiritual performance. It resists the idea that January 1st demands perfection. One more year reminds us that survival counts. […] The post One More Year appeared first on Refuge.Church.
"Baskin & Phelps" talk about the possibility of LeBron James coming back to Cleveland for one more year next season.
As the year closes, Jesus' parable of the barren fig tree reframes time as mercy: the owner's demand to cut it down makes sense in a world obsessed with speed, results, and replacing what disappoints, but the gardener pleads for one more year - not to excuse fruitlessness, but to do purposeful work in the soil, even the slow and unglamorous work of “manure.” The sermon confronts how instant-gratification habits (especially through technology) train us to treat people like devices - demanding quick performance and cutting them off when they don't deliver - while Jesus shows a different way: patient love that tends, digs, and invests. Yet that patience is not permission to remain unchanged; faith exists to bear fruit, and Jesus calls us to pursue both faithfulness and fruitfulness. The invitation is to step into the new year resisting quick judgment, trusting God's slow transforming grace, and choosing to live in the ways of the manure - because as long as the gardener is still tending the tree, hope remains.

We almost made hockey great again in America but Team USA did fall in OT to Canada in the final of the 4Nations tournament. But let's keep it real here... better to lose at hockey than to lose $200 billion a year to their country. KKHI Co-host Stephen Miller took over a news conference at the White House Thursday and gave a perfect Civics 101 lecture to the ridiculous media. Meanwhile, Trump welcomed Tiger Woods to the White House and met with PGA Tour and LIV golf officials to broker an agreement for the two to work together or merge. Actor John Travolta owns a piece of KC history. Travis Kelce is giving vibes that he may have one more year left but it would look different than before. The Royals play their first spring training game. A tennis star breaks down in the middle of her match, you have to hear this. And our song of the week is the break up song that has become an American anthem.
The NFL has apparently ended racism in America as they will no longer call for it to be ended with logos on the playing field. All joking aside, this is a really, really big deal as we keep reminding everyone we now live in a post racist/post cancellation free speech America. What a glorious time to be alive. President Trump will attend the game, the first sitting president ever. Andy Reid says he's back for at least another year in 2025, the Chiefs defense is on quite a playoff roll stopping running backs and costs for a possible parade are going to cost taxpayers. The Royals will feature Sunday games on broadcast tv as they announce a new deal. Trump has quite a plan for Gaza that is similar to something I used to joke about at work 25 years ago. And it's a really good idea. The Department of Education is targeted for elimination, USAID is on administrative leave and a plan for Iran is dire if they get out of line. Every day is a whirlwind for the Trump team. Incredible.
A message from Pastor Matt!
Danny has some big news for the pod and we round up an entertaining yet controversial weekend in the Premiership. There was a blockbuster at Franklin's Gardens as Northampton edged past Bath at the death thanks to Finn Smith. Are the champions still in the play-off race despite being in eighth? Ollie Lawrence has apologised for his role in the incident with Alex Mitchell, but did the England centre overstep the mark? George Skivington's Welsh contingent continue to impress for Gloucester but which Premiership player is being held back by Wales' 25-cap rule? Ashy gives us an insight into French rugby as Owen Farrell is voted the worst signing of the season, plus Ilona Maher makes her Bristol debut and England are heading to Argentina for this summer.
